Located right at the start of Nuuanu Ave in downtown Honolulu. The perfect, hole-in-the-wall bar for a night out with family and friends. BYO food and drinks (with a cork fee). No food here right now. Top shelf liquor available. Wide selection of beers and wines. Ambiance is great thanks to the karaoke machine! Two mics to pass around and huge books of song selections. Bathrooms are clean and divided. This place is wheelchair accessible with street parking and a lot in the back. Had a great time here!

It was a rare nite out with co-workers. I suggested JJ Dolan's yet left the place to hang out for them to choose. The preface statement came, "I like dive bars, places you can get nice and comfortable. How about my favorite place?" ...and off we went to Club Boomerang!First time I walked in I could see why my coworker liked the place. It truly was like the "Cheers bar". Everyone was so friendly. Even though no food served here except little bar snacks, they don't mind you bringing your own food, to share if you want. And because the night before was the owner's birthday bash, she brought out an abundant amount of delicious party food to share with everyone. Choi, the owner, even bought me a drink because it was my first time here...or because i was entertaining them with stories...or because I eventually was so relaxed in this crowd i started to sing karaoke, amongst strangers. Strangers whom i felt like i had known for at least half a lifetime.Craig, the friendliest bartender, was entertaining us with his own stories. He's a pretty tough little Japanese fella with no fear; funny as heck too!It was great hanging out with you all. Thank you Choi for the nice welcome and for giving into my insistence you sing with us. Did I say I sang? Ohh my, I musta really been comfortable and enjoying myself!! Boomerang is located on Nuuanu Avenue between S. Beretania and Vineyard. Street parking before 330p and after 530p with free parking after 6pm. Karaoke is only $1 a song with songbooks alphabetized by song name. There is even a pool table to entertain you.

My good friend Lionel took me to Club Boomerang. It was a Sunday, and we didn't know they closed at 10pm.A small but friendly crowd was there but we wanted to Karaoke! The owner introduced herself and my friend and I sang for the rest of the night. So if you want a friendly place to hang out and chill and not being pressured by a Hostess who want to spend plenty of your $$ there ,Club Boomerang is the place to go!!

Being Korean, I heard this place had a fusion of Hawaii and Korean culture infused. Right when I walked in, I felt the great vibes!!!! KARAOKE TOO! We got there when they were pretty busy on a Saturday night but they had the friendliest owner. As the night went on, he hung out with her daughter who also works there as well. Nothing better than a mother and daughter owned bar. Highly recommend this place for a chill/ cheap beer place to pre-game or spend the entire night singing!

My wife is always right. Well, except when she's wrong in which case two wrongs make a right, since I'm always wrong. Wait...what?Anyway, we walked by this place a couple times and my wife said, "This place must be owned by Koreans." My reply? "Hogwash!" A Korean place called Club Boomerang is as likely as an Australian bar called "kim chi jigae." Well, she was right. We stumbled into this neighborhood bar and found that it was like Cheers. (Except no irritating Woody Harrelsons around.) Everyone knew everyone else's name! It was UH football night and they had a spread of food out that you just go serve yourself from. Domestic beer for $2.50! Korean style bar food (meaning chicken gizzards and kim chee)! And after the game was done $1/song karaoke! (Korean songs, even...which meant the wife had to go sing that KISS "Because I'm a girl" song again. Aigo.) The server was also one of the nicest I've met in a bar. And I'm not just saying that because she told my wife that I had a beautiful singing voice. Okay, maybe I am. ;-)It's a very small place and no interior design input, but for a neighborhood bar it was clean (considering all the druggies and tranny prostitutes that frequent the area), the staff were very friendly (bought us a round of drinks since it was out first time there) and it's a good place to check out UH games (FOOD!). On weekends we'll stick to Blue Ribbon, but for spontaneous weeknights we'll probably come back here. For all that, this place gets 3 stars!

A great bar to hang out with friends especially on Saturday's when this group that call themselves LSC or Libation Society Club hangs out for some major party time. A club that welcomes everyone. There's usually something going on on Saturday as they celebrate all different occasions and bring in some pot luck of goodies to eat. Ma Choi is a very pleasant owner and joins in on the fun. Some may say that she has a little Hawaiian in her as she'll belt out a Hawaiian tune or two. Karaoke is great with a talented bunch of singers who'll sometimes surprise you with a hula or two. There's also a pool table for you sport minded folk. All in all, great bartenders, drinks are very affordable and a good time is always had by all who make there presence through the front or back door. Come join the gang.

Very intresting when we got here yelp said it was close but the bright sign said open! There were 2 gentlemen at the bar rest of the place was empty. Waitress was nice and it was midnight and still had food. Food was average price was good not the nicest place but it did the job beer and food.We stumbled upon this place because shinshotei was crowded and hanagasa was closed. Those are my go to bars but if there ever crowded id check this place out again. They also have karaoke witch is always a plus for me

I don't know if I've ever felt so well-treated as I was at Club Boomerang. I clearly did not fit in, since the clientele is made up mostly of family and long time friends. I am a white dude just sort of moving through Honolulu. In spite of this, I was greeted with open arms. A specific shoutout to Hazel, who was almost suspiciously hospitable to me, and made the experience worth the five stars I gave it.
