Great shop with the latest and greatest boards, bought 2 FireWires here, one had a defect in the lamination which came 6 months after I bought it and they had me pull a brand new board off the shelf for replacement same day I brought it in to show them the issue!!Solid Japanese owned, passionate, respectful, support small local businesses. The folks here are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. My husband was looking to explore a different board from what he usually uses, and Ken was really helpful in the process of helping him determine what board might work or not work. They also have boards for rent, which can also help if you are thinking of purchasing a certain kind of board but not 100% sure. I definitely recommend going to Clips to find quality products!

Went out for a lesson with Makoto, and had a fantastic experience. I found him friendly, knowledgeable, an importantly, he had me catching waves inside an hour. I'd highly recommend a private lesson with him to anyone wanting to learn to surf. You won't regret it.Pick up a new life skill, meet a cool guy, have some fun, and get a new hobby all at once! ‍

Great purveyor of surf goods and apparel. They carry brands along the lines of Banks, TSCC, Channel Islands, etc. They carry much of the harder to find items in small quantities.Awesome customer service and fair prices.Great place to stock up on anything surf related you may need.

Super friendly staff, but not obstrusive. Large selection of CI and Firewire surfboards. First ones I found in Honolulu to carry Spine-tek CIs, which rides well. Conveniently located. Stop by, buy a board, 5 minutes later you are surfing at Ala Moana beach park. Then go back, thank the guys, and buy fixins for dinner at Don Quijote. They let me grab whatever packing material I wanted for my surf trip from the board shipment they had just received. Thanks for the cardboard, straps and packing foam, gents!

We took a surf lesson with Makoto and it was amazing!!! He brought us to uncrowded spot with gentle waves and everyone caught a several waves even those who had never surfed before. He also took awesome photos that made us look like pros.

Their surf lessons are excellent! I had never tried it before, but Makoto was so helpful, I was able to catch waves on my first attempts! He was patient, helped me find my footing and set me up for success. I highly recommend them!
