Mana oh man! I haven't gone to Chun Wah Kam in years! We were hungry after walking around the swap meet and I really wanted some Mana Pua. We stopped at Chun Wah Kam on the way home. They only had steamed Char siu Mana pua left and a handful of flavors of the minis. So I ordered 4 regular steamd plus a few sweet potato and kalu pig minis too. Had to also add in a bunch of pork hash and gau gee too! Although everything by the each is decent in price, it can add up pretty quickly when buying for multiple people and ordering when you're really hungry! Lol.Service is super fast and friendly, and very helpful. Most people just come here to take food out, but there are a few tables available to dine in too. Next time I come, I need to remember to add some steamed rice cake to my order.

I was SO EXCITED to come home and grab a plate from Chun Wah Kam! Boy, was I disappointed. The quality of the food and the service has seriously declined. For an early Sunday afternoon it wasn't really busy & there were plenty of employees behind the counters. The dim sum racks were bare & not a manapua or a smile in sight. I didn't any chow funn on the line so I asked my server what the noodle options were, since I didn't recognize them right off. She seemed annoyed by my inquiry, but I ignored her stank attitude. I made all my selections, paid for my meal and went on my merry way. I live 10mins from the restaurant. Why was my food COLD when I got home?! Seriously? DO BETTER Chun Wah Kam!!!I'll join the ranks of people willing to make that drive to Waipahu and spend my $ with the folks at Honolulu Kitchen. Even when I pick up from Waipahu & drive back home to Salt Lake my food is still hot. smh

Chun Wah Kam is quite good. Had their family size chow mien which was tasty. Portions are generous. Call if you know what you want; line can be quite long.Chun Wah Kam opens early at 8 am, so if you need to bring something to an event that starts early, they might be the only option to order food.

Today was an excellent day for choosing to come here to pick up food. There was no line and the employee that helped me was very efficient and thoughtful. After she made my plate and asked me how many chopsticks and hot mustard she asked if I wanted a bag. First time a worker placed the container of food with the sides taped in a clear plastic bag with the napkins and chopsticks on the top. No spill, no mess. Anything else? Hot dog, pork hash and half moon. Sorry, no half moon today. She was so pleasant. I paid 35 cents for the carry out brown paper bag with handles.Such an efficient employee. When I turned around to exit, whoa the line was to the door. Love those times when you're at the right place at the right time.

On a President's Day Monday holiday, it was business as usual. However, only a selected few were prepared for this day. Unfortunately we made a stop on our way to the airport only to find out baked manapuas and rice cakes were not available. We were kinda disappointed, but we still ordered available goods. Staff were all friendly and patient.

I went today to get some rice cakes and manapua. This middle aged Japanese woman assisted me. However, she was extremely rude. She rolled her eyes and made faces when I would speak to her. I asked her to specifically put some rice cake into a small box as my daughter was traveling to the mainland. She disregarded my request and placed in a plastic bag. When I corrected her, she let out a huge scoff. I didn't appreciate this negative interactions at all!! I highly suggest this woman be coached to have a more pleasant attitude when interacting with customers. Be cautious of this lady because she will make you have a bad experience.

I only come here to buy two items that I call at least a day or more in advance every year to pick up pending on occasion and my audience preference: 2 lbs - 5 lbs raw chow mein 2 lbs - 5 lbs raw fried saimin2 lbs = 1 (one) 9" x 13" pan I love to create my own sauce, add in my own seasonings and toppings, bake these delicious oodles of noodles, keep it warm in the oven till I'm ready to leave home for a party. Five stars for having these fresh noodles available. Five stars for superb customer service.Five stars for separate line of phone orders/pick up, lights, and easy to read signage. I'm not a fan of their manapua (char siu bao), pork hash, various fried rice, and premade orders even though I've tried it from my husband, funerals and parties. My hubby joked that I'm a grinch because I cringe when I see red and green colored manapua during Christmas and winter season. Kudos to the staff for their creativity. I gravitate toward traditional Chinese food. That's my preference. If this location is super busy via phone order, be sure to leave your first name, pick up date and time. Business is pumping with never ending two lines of customers and plethora of staff taking care of to go orders. Thank you for selling what I'm looking for without having to drive into Chinatown.

The wife and in laws go to spot for manapua. The parking lot can get pretty full so just be patient. The place can also get busy but the line moves fast and I actually like it because it gives me time to decide what to get.Always get the pork hash, pretty much shumai, along with the manapua. I like the mini manapua for more variety without getting too full.

Food was delicious & ready to be picked up. I wished they would bring back the reg size assorted manapua.. I noticed they always have young teenagers working there which is fine but they need to be a little friendlier & just smile... I work in cust service all my life & it doesn't hurt to smile & welcome customers..
