Mix plate I had was a huge portion! Kalbi was very thick cut and tender. Marinated beef and chicken were also juicy and tender. Not salty. Rice.. decent.I will try Fish Jun next time.

Sticker Shock. Mama has always had reasonably priced food. I ordered the Kalbi ribs. When she told me that it was $46.00. I took a few seconds. then said ok.You get two pieces of Kalbi, rice, Kim Chee, bean sprout and cabbage. See photo. The meat was tender and flavorful. Worth the price as good meat is getting harder to find. Also the potion is enough for two meals. Had an order of Meat Jun. If you like a heavy egg breading on the meat Jun this is for you. The meat was tender and a decent taste. I prefer a lightbatter. Still a good place for Korean take out. Enjoy

This will be my first "choi's" when it comes to korean food. Besides the flavorful and well-balanced taste, the kalbi and meat jun have the next level of thickness. Not only that, but the level of softness is beyond me. The meat jun is so soft that my chopsticks had cut through with little effort. My kalbi was so easy to pull away with a gentle tug. Highly recommend place to try. The service was awesome. The owner was doing multiple things at once, yet she was able to be attentive to her customers. Considerate, thoughtful, and stern, this korean lady is very hard working and is good at what she does. Interior is a well-aged convenient store with a kitchen that looks like it was maintained and could use a fix here and there. Overall, a must try!Payment Cash or credit card *Take out only*no public restroomsParkingShared with McCully Buffet lot

Today called in my order for dinner at Choi's Family Restaurant. One of my favorite Korean restaurant which gives a lot of food . I ordered a combo which consists of Kalbi , chicken Katsu and Mandoo. Also I ordered side order of mandoo and tofu spinach salad . My sister in law ordered Fish jun and my wife Kalbi . The owner MaMa gave us a free side Kim Chee and a little more than usual. If you're looking for quantity and quality Korean food this is the place you should check out .Support local . Remember Choi's family restaurant is located inside her brother liquor store . I cannot believe this place. The female that answered the phone started to take my order and when I asked for extra rice she ask two scoops and when I said three she hung up. Unreal. I call back and asked whe did she hang up on me she said she is not serving food today. Something is seriously wrong with the woman.

Choi's Family Restaurant is located in the Hana Market for a few years now. It's located on McCully Street and its parking is with the McCully Buffet. There's two reserved stalls for Hana Market's customers as you enter the parking lot. I've ordered Korean food from Choi's since they were at the previous location but since they moved I really liked their spinach tofu salad! They have a little spicy dressing like a Taegu dressing . The dressing can be ordered separately, since it's so popular. Lately I ordered the zucchini tempura! Wow I must say it was really good! The slices were huge and thick and the batter thick and nice & crunchy! I believed I had about 11 pieces in my order! The sauce which came with the zucchini was really good too! So much better than zucchini jun!Best to call in your order and it'll be ready for you than having to wait since there was no waiting area or chairs.

Choi's Family Restaurant took over the kitchen at Hana Market on McCully St about a year or so ago. Thankfully for me, they have kept Hana's popular 'Big Breakfast of two eggs, two scoops of rice, and 4 pieces of meat. It's gone up in price like everything else these days, $6.59 as of 8 June 23. Hana Market has two dedicated stalls in the back parking lot on the Ewa mauka corner of McCully St & Algaroba St intersection, makes for a fast in and out for takeout. Based on recommendations from Yeeps Craig T & Braddah Fran C, I will definitely come back and try some of their Korean dishes! Will repeat and recommend!

Choi's Family restaurant moved from King St to McCully street located inside Hana Market. Sadly it's no longer a "restaurant" for sit down dining and she only does take out but I'm grateful. I went last week to pick up food for a party and got to "talk story" with the owner for a little bit. She bought out Hana Market so owns both businesses. She set up a kitchen in the front part of the store that she cooks out of and the rest is still a little liquor/grocery store. Choi's is another one of my "go to's" for pot lucks and parties or dinner if I'm craving Korean food. She still has 2 party packs available. Each is enough for 4-6 people. Party pack #1 bbq chicken, beef, fried mandoo and choice of chicken katsu or meat jun. This includes rice and vegetables for $56 this one is my favorite! I usually order her famous spinach tofu salad with her homemade dressing that is addictive! I love to support this one woman operation, her prices have gone up a little over the years but her portions are large and generous. I'll always be back the Korean food is delicious!

Choi's Family Restaurant is a good fast food Korean restaurant. It is literally a fast food take out place. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. Ordered their mushroom chicken plate. Large enough to feed 2-3 people The owner herself prepared the dish so you know it's good. From the time I ordered my food it took maybe 5-10 minutes as the dishes are prepared at time of order The restaurant is located on one side of a neighborhood liquor store. So it literally a fast food take out placeGood Korean comfort food
