Visited from LA and found this place to have the most authentic Korean food in the area. Arguably better than a lot of restaurants back home. Came back multiple days throughout our 2 week stay. Their meats are great, though I personally like mine a bit more charred. Jjigaes were great. Naengmyun broth was on point. Seolleontang and Donganeetang were shockingly rich and delicious. All the banchans were great, and service was top notch. The other half of this business is Masil Noraebang so their kitchen stays open until 4 in the morning. Would be great for just a meal or maybe a quirky date.

My parents and I loved the original location when it was at Korean-moku...I mean, Keaaumoku lol. So when we heard that it was reopening, we had to check it out. Our experience was okay but there are a few improvements that could be made. For one is the quality of service. The night we went, they were a bit short-staffed and it was not easy to flag someone down. Consistency could be improved because depending on which waiter you get, one will either refill your banchan as tall as a mountain or only get a few pieces of cucumber kimchi. As far as food goes, it was good, maybe a tiny bit bland. I ordered the mandoo soup and asked for rice cake and I'm not sure if it was because of the rice cake addition but my soup only came with four pieces of mandoo. A bit unsatisfying I must admit. We loved the old place so I hope the new version can improve a bit so we can continue going there.

Bruh this place is ass. The service is non existent. It's like buffalo wild wings service. Everyone knows how bad buffalo wild wings service is. They take your order and that's it. You never see them again. I mean how hard is it to ask your table if they're doing okay? Your food is alright but your service is so bad that it makes the food taste terrible. you need a refill on your banchan? Good luck cuz they ain't gunna refill it. I shouldn't have to flag you down for something. Just do it and service will be recognized and tip will be added. Sat there for 42 mins with my party of 4 with empty EVERYTHING and no check in from server. No exaggeration, not even once bro. No extra courtesy of "heres extra napkins, is everything okay?, do you want more banchan, would you like anything else?" Nothing. You guys suck. We were your only table too. How could you not service us? Good luck cuz you need it. You guys are so slow that you wont last another couple months. What a waste of money opening up a shitty business.

Finally found a place where they serve the military pots - budae jigae. My favorite place was pocha32 in New York City and I have yet to find a place that serves something similar in Hawaii and this was the closest I could find. The cold noodles added more to the pot of jigae. Ingredients included some seafood, spam, cheese, bean sprouts, tofu. The only thing I wished they could add more of would be veggies, especially water crest. It would make the pot so much better!

Wanted Cold Noodle, so I stumbled upon this place. This is near the Asahi Grill on Keeamoku, so you can park in the lot in that vicinity. Ordered the Spicy Cold Noodle and they only took about 10 minutes to make the dish. It came with kimchi and the sauces for the dish. The kimchi was very good - it was gingery, garlicy, yet not too spicy. Very authentic and home made. The Spicy Cold Noodle itself was OK. It was quite filling but the taste was just alright.Prices - err - could be better. The spicy cold noodle was about $14 and the special $9.95 price is only dine-in, which at the time, was prohibited. It did satisfy my Spicy Cold Noodle cravings but didn't quite hit the high marks I expected. If anything, I'd come back for dining in and probably take a look at that Groupon coupon everyone is talking about. I would not pay $14 to take out their Spicy Cold Noodle again.

Stopped here on our way to our lodging when we arrived in Hawaii. Big mistake.Food was horrible and the lady there was blatantly rude. It's like she went out of her way to be a jerk. I have had bad service before, but she takes the cake. We ordered soondooboo and yukkaejjang... both tasted the same.

My friend recommended this place. At entrance, lady server didn't acknowledge us. We had to talk a little louder for attention. My friend highly recommended " Beef Yukke Jan for the first timer.I explained server that I didn't want any meat, just seafood only. She didn't reply. I had ordered Sundubu ( Soft Tofu soup ) with seafood. For price wise, service isn't really good enough, it's ok as long as food is good enough.Over all this store service wasn't really good but food and the price were ok.In Hawaii I went/ had so many Korean restaurants, I was very lucky I never had really bad experience. I am not saying service was that bad, but wasn't good either. For us, local customers, we don't really mind / care about the service, I guess, if food is cheap and tastes are good enough.I would care. I do come back, I would like to eat again because of their service is good.I recommend for price and taste, not for service.

I've dined here late night before but haven't been back in a long time. Recently, I was in the area to pick up some veggies from 88 Pal Pal and noticed they had a banner up announcing their 5 year anniversary. On the banner, they had a $6.99 special so I mentally notated that and decided to come back when I could. The banner didn't say how long the promotion was so I came back within weeks to take advantage of the deal. It was a Sunday around 10:30am when I came and the place had a few tables occupied. I was told that I can sit anywhere and shortly after a server brought over another place setting along with water. When my party arrived, we glanced at the menu and each picked something off the $6.99 menu. We got the two Ox Bone Soups and one Kimchee Stew in Earthen Pot. My order was one of the Ox Bone Soups. My friends girlfriend who ordered the Kimchee Stew in Earthen Pot gave us a taste. It was very flavorful and had a slight kick to it. The Ox Bone Soup was a little bland and didn't have much meat or tendon inside. It did have noodles which was a nice surprise. Between the two, I liked the Kimchee Stew better. Next time, I'll try their Spicy Beef Soup. The banchan was simple and not much variety. Overall, the food was average but a deal at $6.99.
