I used to take my dad to Chinatown Liquors every week so he could get his Chinese newspaper, but ever since Covid-19, most businesses stopped bringing in the Chinese newspaper to da 808.Where is Chinatown Liquors located at?You can find this liquor store at the Chinese Cultural Plaza in Chinatown. The little liquor store is kinda hidden away, as the entrance of the liquor store is tucked away, fronting a parking dock within the mall.Normally, I drive into the parking dock to drop off my dad, so he could walk straight into the liquor store to pick up his newspaper.Unfortunately due to Covid-19, times have changed and this liquor store no longer brings in/sells the Chinese newspaper.Aside from Chinese newspapers, if you're looking for booze, then you've hit pay dirt my friends! Not into Chinese newspapers or booze? No worries cuz they also sell snacks, and other types of non-alcoholic drinks, and even some small groceries items. I did finally find a store that brings in the Chinese newspaper to da 808. That store is also located inside the Chinese Cultural plaza - Kanjico.

Chinatown liquors is a hidden store of treats. Yes, they have your usual selection of liquors here. They also have the most reasonable prices on soft drinks: sodas, waters, sports drinks, asian drinks, etc. in all of cultural plaza. They also have a nice selection of snacks. Whether its a bag of chips, a box of candies, or even a spam musubi... All the Chinese school kids know it!Finding it is a bit tricky tho. One entrance is off of the dark loading dock which also houses a little itty bitty post office window. The other entrance is from inside the inner shopping courtyard of the Chinese Cultural Plaza...the one right next to main elevator.Staff are friendly here. The cashier made it a point to ask if i needed a parking validation...even tho all i bought was a can of soda and already had a validation from a different business. And I even got a friendly "Happy Easter" greeting as I was leaving!
