Our favorite little shop in china town to grab fresh veggies. They always have a good variety, veggies are fresh, and have good pricing. The staff is always polite. Reminder to alway bring cash, for a little extra savings.

Located in the city square shopping center next to chuckee cheese and many other retailers and restaurants.I was shocked to see that the pricing in the produce section how the prices have got up way higher than the retail supermarkets.I understand and like to support local farmers, but the prices were way higher and the off grade items weren't any lower. The meat and fish vendors prices were pretty stable. The parking lot normally is very crowded and hard to find parking, but this time there were quite a few parking spaces open. I guess customers are going elsewhere seeing their prices increased that much.

This is a small market in Chinatown that contains a wide variety of fresh produce at reasonable prices. Many items are a bunch for $1. I especially like their fresh basil, okra, green onions, shallots and bitter melon. I found them friendly and the space is clean, given the variety of produce and limited space. It's my new go to.

Just okay!! A lot of stores closed down, maybe because of covid. Unsure, did the market place for food, but walked out. Place run down and dirty. No good deals, expensive nothing seemed fresh. First China town I visited and wasn't what I expected. Looking at past reviews 5/4 stars was years ago, that goes to show how bad it got. It's best to go food land and food trucks while in Hawaii.

Great produce at low prices. Plenty of food and smoothie options. Came on a Tuesday and it was surprisingly busy. Can't imagine how bustling it is later in the week. Happy with the whole experience.

As a frequent shopper in Chinatown, I have my go-to places when needing specific items. Once upon a time I enjoyed shopping at Chinatown Hawaiian Market (CHM) but due to lack of customer service and not feeling welcomed, sadly CHM doesn't make the cut with me anymore.Located on the mauka side of N Hotel Street between Maunakea and River Street, CHM is one of the very few clean and well organized produce stores in Chinatown. It's quite bright and they carry a great selection of vegetables that are often used in Asian cuisine. I do like the fact that they carry several types of tomatoes. I personally enjoy the grape tomatoes for its appearance and lack of seeds. Easy to prep and eat. I would come here to buy just enough for 1-2 meals that would just require loose change. Very economical. However, at times I am turned off by the lack of customer service of I'm guessing the owners (male and female behind the cashier registers). Lack of smile doesn't really acknowledge the customer. They would just ring you up and collect money. Just like any other store in Chinatown, patrons come from all directions trying to pay at the same time so make sure you be firm in your line placement otherwise you'll be standing there for some time.I don't expect red carpet service in Chinatown but it's not hard to say a simple "Thank you." when paying for your items. I am purely not fond when the male cashier functions like a robot. No smile and doesn't express gratitude that I'm shopping at their store. My go-to produce store at the very least will thank me in Chinese for shopping there. My recommendation is to walk around and compare the quality and pricing. Once I came here wanting to buy watercress to make soup but it was priced high and their product wasn't happy looking. Seemed like the watercress on the table was sitting there extensively. So I asked the staff if they had anymore and the reply was "That's all what we have left after selling the rest." Not satisfied with the quality and high price, I walked around and found another shop nearby that was cheaper and fresh. Lesson learned - - shop around before paying. On a positive note, they do offer discounted veggies by the register. They are usually pre-packaged for quick sale. Many times they have odds and ends and/or semi-bruised produce that have been marked down. I've personally have purchased them before. It's great if you're going to be using those items that very same day.Overall, I have CHM classified as a back-up produce store if my regulars are either sold out or closed.

Chinatown Hawaiian Market is a small market located on Hotel Street. They have fresh produce and the owners are really nice. I stopped by here to purchase banana leaves which they sold $2.99 per lbs. It was a huge stack and I only needed 1 leaf. I gave the rest to my nans. You will have to find street or lot parking to visit here.

I love this place! Every time I visit Oahu I'll make a stop here. It's so interesting, and being a chef it's like being in heaven, so much freshness! Fish and meats, lots of produce and fruits, just amazing. Can't wait to be back!
