Chicken & Brisket

We were looking for a place to eat while doing our Christmas shopping when we saw Chicken & Brisket.The server was super friendly and helpful, even though it looked like it was just him serving the whole place.We took some menus and found a table. My wife and I had the The "Baller" Bento, that had something like 2 fried chicken, 2 fried Korean chicken, fried saimin topped with brisket tips, bbq shrimp and a few sides - fries, coleslaw, rice. Even writing it out sounds like a lot. Chicken was crispy with a clean, not greasy taste. The brisket was flavorful. I'll be sure to get the brisket plate next time. The shrimp was garlicky and well seasoned. The only item I didn't enjoy was the Mac salad. It was more watery than I like. All in all, the experience was great and a cool place to watch some sports and enjoy the outdoor seating without being exposed to the elements, aka rain in Hawaii.

Decided to try this restaurant again, even though I was thoroughly unimpressed the first time. Second time has me even less impressed. The brisket pieces were small, and almost tasteless. I was expecting something better for $27. I would accept a smaller portion if the food was excellent, sadly it was not. The saving grace was the service. I wish I got the servers name. He was awesome and very friendly. Don't think I'll try again!!!

ORDER TAKEOUT!, then sit down.I was excited to try this place based on reviews.The place was super busy during a rush, which made me believe it would be worth it. There were a lot of people awkwardly standing around, I like the menu being posted outside the restaurant, makes it easier to navigate when the small space when you know what you want.I started punching in my order on the digital kiosk (also really love that) knowing what I wanted to order so I could punch it in and sit down at an available table... My biggest problem is that the guy at the counter asked if it was to stay or for takeout, I said to stay.... It's basically some picnic benches just like the food court... he told me to just sit down and they'd take our order..... ok, I already know what I want, why would I not just pay for it on the machine and then sit down? They told the same thing to some disgruntled customers, who ordered before and after me, so I went back and ordered takeout on the iPad and ate it in the food court next door The food was mid, really dry chicken all around, brisket was good

This time around it wasn't as flavorful & crispy as it was in the beginning when they were in Kalihi. I felt like it lacked the yummy spices that were to die for & I had to rely on the awesome cilantro aioli sauce to give it flavor. To me, it tasted like just fried chicken. I'm also sad that there is no longer any spicy ranch. That was my 2nd favorite sauce. We shared the mushroom truffle burger as well & I thought it was a little lack luster too. It was not as good as I first enjoyed it. You could hardly taste the truffle. It was too subtle & burger had no flavor. On a good note though, the brisket noodles improved. I had soft charred brisket pieces that had a great taste. The server was attentive. The place is open air dining. You seat yourself & server will come by. I hope it can get back to what it was in the beginning & I'll definitely be back.

Food is delicious. I visited this place the week they opened. Very quiet, food was good and service nice. Came back and happy to see them still there, busier...small crowd and guess what Food broke da mouth . Everything fried perfect. I won't give 5 star cause I didn't try a Margarita. Next time .

This is a take-out/delivery review :) I really try my hardest not to base my review(s) of a place on delivery because I know there's factors out of the restaurants control, but I've tried this place both in-person and delivery and neither experience did not disappoint!My co-workers and i all decided to get their "Yum" Chicken Plate and we all customized our sides. That chicken was crispy, flavorful, and the sides were all reliable. For my sides, I got garlic fries and broccoli and for delivery, they arrived hot and fresh. The chicken was a great size for the cost ($17 base + extra for certain sides) and I loved how crispy the skin was and the sauce was so slurpable. You can order a dipping sauce, but since this is like a Korean Fried Chicken it's already coated and dredged in some pretty good flavors.Overall, great experience with delivery and I would do it again. In-person, it was a simple mac and cheese side because I got sushi as my main dish. The inside was decorated all festive and different from the usual food court vibe it's surrounded by. At the end of the day, highly recommended for a treat-yo-self lunch/dinner!

We were greeted by the server only after we moved towards a table. The server said he would be right with us but pasted our table least twice without providing menus. There's a open air seating next to the parking lot. You will find the empty planter boxes are a magnet for shoppers to sit on and hold conversations as you attempt to enjoy your meal and constant parade of people walking by. We ordered the Brisket Chili and Classic Burger. Everything is ala cart. Burger $15, fries $2.50 and $12 for the Chili. Portion of fries are so small. Chili was mostly rice woth a thin layer of chili ontop. Meals were pretty flavorful but portions are small and prices are high

I've been wanting to try this place for a while. Since they just relocated to Pearl Highlands a couple of weeks ago I finally got to eat here now that they are closer to me. I got the fried chicken plate that came with two sides and one sauce. The fried chicken is delicious! Juicy chicken and crispy skin make the perfect combination. The french fries were very crispy and the mashed potatoes with gravy was so yummy! My husband got the chicken and brisket plate. He enjoyed the brisket and chicken, but wished it came with another piece of brisket for the price. We also ordered the chicken tenders, but the chicken was dry. There are more items on the menu that look good like the brisket chili and specialty fries. So I will be back especially since they are in my neck of the woods! Happy Eating!

Food was amazing! The ambience was very welcome and laid back! And the service was astonishing. Our server was Jason and he just so greatly helped in the outgoing and happy feel of the atmosphere. Give him a raise!!!

The service was excellent but I was dissatisfied in the Cole slaw that had a strong flavor of vinegar and it tasted slimy & the Mac & cheese tasted reheated over and over . If I had to guess it was made days before and didn't want to waste it so tried to pass it off as "freshly made".Fried chicken was tasty & brisket was ok after you dipped it in the bbq sauce. The hamburger was a hit with their side of fries.
