They've been around for years in Hawaiʻi with consistently great food and consistently great service. I usually take pix of my food, but I was so eager to eat that I completely forgot! The fried spring rolls in rice paper, which provides just the right amount of chewy texture, are definitely my fave dish. Although I usually get yellow curry, I tried their green curry for the first time this past week. The bold flavors and melt-in-your-mouth eggplant were wonderful. Also tried the tofu broccoli, a pretty basic dish, but the loads of garlic and their special house sauce made it highly enjoyable.I enjoy dining in the restaurant. Love how the tables and plates are always a very clean white, contrasting with the warm browns and sparkling golds of the decor around you, making you either feel at home or like royalty dining. This time around, I did take-out to bring a meal to my family, but went at opening time. I've been here later in the day or in the evening and the parking behind the restaurant can get crowded.

Iʻve eaten here years ago and it was always a pleasant experience sadly, this time around it was extremely and surprisingly disappointing...The space (as usual) was nice, and we were the only ones there at lunchtime--a sign we probably should have paid attention to. We did notice that some of the items we ordered didn't have prices listed, but we didn't think much of it at the time. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre, and when the bill arrived, we were shocked--over $100 for just THREE items! Definitely not worth it, and we won't be returning.

Very welcoming decor and a nice space.Unfortunately the food was not good at all. I love Thai food.... I have never tasted Thai curry that tasted like that... we had red and green. Both just tasted odd. The green curry was more brown than green. Also had stir fried eggplant which is one of my fav Thai dishes and ordered it spicy... it had no flavor somehow and was not spicy. The eggplant was even undercooked. I got it with chicken and I didn't eat any of the chicken... pieces of unseasoned chicken thigh...really not good.

This restaurant has nice interior design that brings Thai's vibe. If you come to this restaurant, you must get the pineapple fried rice because it's surprisingly good. The other foods are good; nothing stands out like any other Thai restaurant. Their papaya salad Lao style is not as good as other restaurants that I've been to. The staff was nice, and the price was affordable.Overall, it was an okay experience.

I absolutely loved dining at this restaurant. From being greeted warmly by the host, to having such a kind and helpful server. I wish I got their names, so I could give them some recognition. The food was so yummy with generous portions. I barely had any room for dessert, which is also another excuse to come back! The ambiance here is aesthetically pleasing with lots of beautiful decor. I HIGHLY recommend!

I was craving Thai food while on vacation. The hotel receptionist recommended Chiang Mai. This was such a disappointment. We ordered papaya salad and red curry and both dishes were terrible. The papaya salad was way too fishy yet bland. It had a weird umami taste which did not go well with the other ingredients. The red curry was watery and too spicy. The coconut milk was overpowering and lacked flavor. I do not recommend this place.

TL;DRMy favorite Thai spot in town.Spring Rolls = ONO (!!!)Thai Red, Yellow, and Green Curry = ONOPad Siew = ONOThai Fried Rice = ONOChiang Mai Casserole = oh no-----I live right next to a Bangkok Chef, but I always make the trek to Chiang Mai instead for Thai food. There is a parking lot with a limited number of spaces behind the restaurant. If it's full, there's usually street parking within a block of the restaurant.I've been taking out from Chiang Mai for over a year now, but just a couple weeks ago was the first time I actually dined in the restaurant. My MIL, wife, daughter, and I finally visited to celebrate my MIL's retirement. There was no issue making a reservation online, and the staff was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. The spring rolls are an absolute must order. There's not much more to say other than if you aren't ordering the spring rolls you are doing yourself a disservice. My family's typical order includes two types of curries (red, yellow, and green are all wonderful), pad siew (love the thick noodles here), thai fried rice (mmmmmm), and then one or two add-on dishes depending on how we're feeling. We decided to try the Chiang Mai Casserole for the first time and were sadly disappointed. I think the word "casserole" is misused here; it's more of a noodle dish (think Thai seafood long rice). It just wasn't our jam. Everything else, however, was fantastic.

Went on a hunt for Thai food tonight. The place I wanted to try was booked with 2 private parties so looked for alternatives on Cooke street which has 2 Thai restaurants about 2 blocks apart. We decided against them since we couldn't find parking. One looked "too funky" and the other had homeless residences in front so we decided on a tried and true favorite Chiang Mai. Tonight we had :Thai yellow curryEggplant with beefChiang Mai Curry Noodle Cashew Chicken (Oops! Only took two pix due to hunger.) Everything was good except for the cashew which was just ok but lacked oomph. We appreciated the pleasant and friendly service especially by the new owner, Kissa, who has taken over from his late father. Always enjoy returning to this place where we have taken many visitors for the food, service, decor, and free parking in the back.

What a cute little Thai restaurant called...Chiang Mai Thai Cuisine in the Moiilil community! The moment we stepped in, we were greeted with a warm welcome by friendly staff. Not just one...but a few. From this moment, I just knew we were going to have an AMAZ...ing dinner experience. Sure enough ...we DID! As we walked in, I felt as though I was in Thailand. Even though I have not been there. Lol, just the ambiance with the beautiful decor, beautiful art, and beautiful seating areas. I was so excited about the FOOD I forgot to take photos of the dining area. Maybe, you can when you visit? Hint, hint...Here's the scoops on our dining experience:Service: EXCELLENT-Friendly, efficient and quick Food: AMAZING- delicious and memorable. My fave-the beef pad Thai So if you are craving for delicious Thai food, go and hook them up! You'll thank me for that!

Beautiful little restaurant, be ashamed to get "take away" as the atmosphere and the hospitality is warm. Warm too. you will be, if anything is ordered spicier than medium. They are serious about chili inclusions here . The best dish was the Po Pia Spring Rolls. The crepe wrapper on these Spring Rolls is superior to the usual flour ones. We share the Koa Soi soup, while tasty was way too salty for more than a few tastes.
