The Chart House is one of my go to restaurants in Waikiki! Newly renovated, with live music and a great happy hour! During this visit we decided to sit in the bar and shared coconut shrimp (ask for the firecracker shrimp dipping sauce), sweet and spicy chicken wings, and wagyu cheese sliders with fries! If you choose to eat from the dinner menu, I would highly recommend the Island Mahimahi, toasted macadamia nut crusted with mango salsa!

Valentine's Day was hecktic ans we didn't know where to go. I'm so happy that they accommodated us. With just 45 min wait. And let me tell u, they was sooooo awesome with removing us from the booth area and offered us a lanai chair. With it being 6pm on a Friday night. You already know what that means! Hilton Fireworks at 745!!!!Our server was really nice, welcoming and polite. She was very attentive when it came to serving us. The one person I disliked that came to our table was the only rude one here. We was only 1/4 way into eating our food and she legit came to us and said "are u done? Can I get anything out ur way?" Ummmmm....am I being punked? Anyways so. We ordered the pupu sampler which contained oysters, zucchini and calamari and chicken wings. The chicken wings was for sure frozen all ready battered ones and u just gotta heat it up! Meeh! The coating for the calamari was falling apart. It's not fresh calamari either. It's frozen ones. It felt like it was baked rather than deep fried because the coating didn't stick. The zucchini was coated in cheese and panko. It's zucchini. The oysters Rockefeller was a disaster! It was cold and slimy. Still raw! How can u have a Rockefeller and ur oyster still raw. Mind u, oyster was TINY!!! it was just spinach and hollandaise sauce garnished with paprika. It was so watery. Imagine grilling a hard to open shell of oyster and shucking it and see all that liquid in the shell from the oyster. Yup, it was watery like that! The 1lb rib eye was not good AT ALL! No seasoning, hard AF, dry and burnt. Their utensils need some sharpening cuz when I cut into the steak it didn't cut it at all but nearly Chocolate lava cake - what a disappointment! It's like....they microwaved the "cake" and garnished with heath crumbs all over the plate then put the two vanilla scoops on it. The shock from hot to cold made the chocolate from the health candy ended up getting stuck to the plate. And the "cake" was soooo hard I felt like I was eating a brookie (brownie cookie. The end part)I felt like this place wasn't anything of a fine dining type of place but more like a BAR! The only good thing about this place is the money shot for Friday nights firework show. Other than that, I wouldn't come again.

Food and music was good but the prices are stupid (Went with fam)Sashimi: not a fan of sashimi, it was good but not much better than sushi restaurantsClam chowder: was a reasonable price and tasted goodGuy tai- I didnt tryHer crusted ahi- similar with sashimi where I dont have much opinions onCalamari- ok this was a huge surprise. Being one of the cheaper items and mind you, I still dont think its worth for the quantity and price. But it is definitely not the run of the mill calamari you get from other places. You could taste the freshnessHere were my notes while I was eating it (and analyzing it): "Calamari, Fresher, Moist, less chewy, smooth, batter is light, batter falls off easy"Still not worth it, food quality was good but prices can suck it!!ExtraMusic was good, there was a guy singing and he was hooked up to the mic for everyone to hearAlso I get it, its a bar, bar food are expensive, our bad for trying to eat dinner at a bar lol3/5 (if you're looking for dinner and not alcohol)

After 8 months of reservations, I dined in here last night for my birthday. It's been a while since coming to this restaurant for dinner. The lighting in this establishment is a lot better than in the past. There is much better lighting inside, the carpet looks like it was replaced as well. Some of the booths looked updated as well. He'enalu was our waiter. He was very attentive, friendly, and helped answer any question we may have had about anything on the menu. He would come back to check on us regularly which is also always a plus when dining in. Sometimes I feel like the waiters or waitresses may have forgotten us, but He'enalu was very good! Easy going and easy to talk to local bradda! I had Joey's Garlic Steak with white rice, a side Caesar salad and sautéed mushrooms. The Garlic steak was okay. It was my first time trying something new. I personally wouldn't order it again for $60+ and will go with the prime rib or rib eye next time. I felt the serving was small. My friend has the baby back ribs which was a full rack. I forgot to get a pic of it, but his meal looks way better and his was Ono (good)! At the end I was given a complimentary dessert for my birthday, which was nice. I ordered the Lava cake with vanilla ice cream. It has hot fudge in the middle of the cake with vanilla ice cream some raspberries. This was so good, but we were too stuffed to finish the whole dessert.I'm definitely going back again to have dinner or maybe even go for their Happy Hour one evening after work.

Came here tonight with my hubby. We had a wonderful seat right on the balcony overlooking the harbor, which was fantastic. Our waitress was nice, but not super attentive overall. My water sat empty for a long time, and being that was my drink, I found that a little irritating. For dinner, I ordered the island mahi-mahi which was very tasty, but I kind of hate when fish dishes don't come with sides. There are such creative sides you can pair with seafood that really highlight the flavors, so I felt like they missed that mark. My husband ordered a steak and it was very dry and completely over cooked. I could tell from the moment he cut into it, and he tried to play it off that it wasn't. I asked him how his meal was and he replied, "eh. Not very good. I thought maybe it wasn't over cooked but as I got more into it, it's almost completely well done. Not good." He had me try a bite and I totally agreed that it was very dry. Always a bummer to pay $50+ and not enjoy your meal. Don't get me wrong, we love to eat out and enjoy nice meals, but it's no fun to pay that much for a meal you don't enjoy. Wouldn't recommend as there are so many other places to get good food. Bummer because it is a great location and the live music was a fun addition.

I met friends at CH on a Saturday night to hear live music and check out their late night happy hour available 9-11pm. The music sounded great, the discounted drink prices were appreciated, and the happy hour foods were a good value as they were fresh, well-prepared, and the portions were large enough to share with the whole group. The renovated interior looks clean, bright, and airier with an improved layout, use of light-colored woods, and a lot more lighting in the bar area. We received very good service. Even at the end of the night, the staff serving us were still bright, fresh, and cheery.

Food: very tasty! We got bison burger, clam chowder, and spinach salad. The bison burger was medium rare with some of the best fries ever. The spinach salad was filled with goodies and yummy dressing. The clam chowder had to be sent back because it was not hot the first time but definitely hot when they brought it back out. The flavor was mediocre with limited clams. Service: very accommodating and friendly. Ambiance: crowded in the bar area that we asked to be moved to the dining area. (And they did relocate us with no issue.) Lovely view of the marina and fish tanks.

Great service despite how crowded and busy they were. Tony is the man serving up beers left and right, just how we like it. Prime rib is a solid 6.9/10 but the view and sunset was a 10/10 and perfect for a hot date

We had dinner reservations at 6:30 on Presidents' Day. We got there a little before 6:30, they seated us. You could tell our server was new to the restaurant. It took a little while in between orders. Also had to communicate a little more to get the right order across. We ordered pupus which were delicious! Also got a margarita which hit the spot. Since they renovated, the looks are amazing. New sign. New booths. New carpet. Very nice
