Awesome Turkey to Go meals again! Yes meals, we order 2 every year! Love, love, love the stuffing! Big juicy turkey with all the fixin's!Dessert we always get the Taro bread pudding with haupia sauce! (not included but well worth it)Can't wait til next year!

Having a really good food experience on the day of our wedding was high on the list of priorities to my partner and me. I am so happy we decided to put this aspect in the hands of the Catering Kalimas, who catered our wedding at He'eia State Park in October 2015. This wife and husband duo, Paula and Mitchell Kalima, is seriously a dream team. They ensured the food at our wedding turned out absolutely perfect!We worked on all of the logistics and costs ahead of time with Paula, who is as easy to work with as she is keen to the nitty gritty details. She helped make our vision a reality, from our wonderful outdoor cocktail hour (down the hill from the reception hall, so guests could enjoy their drinks and snacks in the same spot overlooking the ocean as the ceremony), to the several-stationed main event, to the kick-ass catering and bartending folks who served us. Paula's coordination skills simply rock. Overall, I also believe she gave us fair, reasonable prices for all that we had at our wedding.On the day of our wedding, Chef Mitchell (who has worked as a head chef in Waikiki for years) cooked us a feast that had us and our guests raving. We had a poke bar and other pupus (hors d'oeuvres) during the cocktail hour, traditional Hawaiian food at the main event (the works... Mitchell makes it all), a fresh sushi station (nigiri as well as maki, using top-notch, restaurant-quality fish), and mouth-watering prime rib. Nothing fell short of delicious. My partner and I are still defrosting Mitchell's kalua pork leftover from the reception two months later and loving it.As expected, our reception was a blur for us as the bride and groom and we didn't have all that much time to eat. But what sticks out in my memory was how Paula came up to my partner and I at the beginning of the night, introduced herself and Mitchell (we had not met them until then, since we planned the event from California), personally brought us plates of a little bit of everything (though it was buffet-style for the rest of the guests), and checked in with us throughout the next hour to make sure we were enjoying the food. It was like a personalized, mini-restaurant experience.All around, the Kalimas excel at carrying out their customer-centered catering business. They are worth 6 out of 5 stars! I highly, HIGHLY recommend them if you are looking for outside caterers for your Oahu wedding.

The Kalima's are awesome. I tried many catering places before I went to them and was disappointed every time. I am from Michigan and back home when people get married the food is awesome because it is homemade and done right....not mass produced or warmed up from a box. That is what I was looking for and what I found with the Kalima's.Mitchell is the mastermind behind the food! He used to be a chef at several different hotels in Honolulu and has now opened his own business. We taste tested and fell in love with the food. My friend Sara and I went to try the menu for the wedding and he made us so much food we were able to bring it to my husband at work on base so he could try it and share it with all the guys in his office.We had garlic mashed potatoes (red and russet), apricot meatballs, salad, taro rolls, white rice, and pulled pork with homemade sauce. They delivered all the way from town to the North Shore and were on time with steaming hot food!I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking at catering for events or weddings and is looking for one of the most delicious meals you will ever eat!

Amazing food. You know that outdoor wedding that has lukewarm, slightly dry meat and slightly mushy vegetables due to warmer trays? This is NOT THAT PLACE!!!!Paula and Mitchell were totally accommodating and very easy to work with. They were one of the easiest parts of the wedding, and I SUPER appreciated that. We ordered the hawaiian menu for 75 people, which included: pineapple, haupia, kalua pork, pulehu beef, rice, chicken long rice. We added poi, three kinds of poke, and vegetarian mini lau lau. it was ALL delicious and there was a TON of food! I ate chicken long rice all the next day with no regrets - the most delicious chicken long rice ever!!! they set up about 530 pm, right after our 4pm ceremony. They had warming trays and coolant packs for the poi and poke. They were so nice and easygoing and everyone complimented the amazing food. We highly recommend!

We have catered our entire Thanksgiving meal from Paula and Mitchell for several years now. I would not order my Thanksgiving meal from anyone else. Pick-up times are on-time and very organized. They provide excellent customer service and excellent communication via their website. Everything in the Thanksgiving meal to go is 'ono. We also order the special Taro bread pudding with Haupia. One year I ordered my Thanksgiving meal but I was flying to Maui. Paula and Mitchell graciously packed the entire meal for me and everything arrived in tact. My Maui 'Ohana loved all the food. Thank you Paula and Mitchell for your 'ono Thanksgiving grinds. I already put in my order for this year.

The Catering Kalima's catered my father's funeral. My father died on O'ahu and I was living on the mainland. We discussed my budget and they created a menu that fit it. They organized the food service and took a load off my shoulders, allowing me and the ohana to reminisce about Dad. Everything went off without a hitch. Paula and Mitchell were so patient and flexible at this difficult time. I chose a menu that included teri chicken, fried noodles, taro bread pudding with haupia sauce, apricot meatballs, smashed potato salad, and a few other things. The food was fantastic. Excellent local food always evokes memories of family times, and this meal helped us all to tell stories about Dad. Moreover, everyone left well fed. Many thanks to Paula and Mitchell!

I love repeating Paula & Mitchell served us up a delicious Thanksgiving dinner again!!! I had just flown in from vacation, how perfect to just drive over & pick up the turkey dinner to go!! I always add the ham on too ( which I don't even like, Except for the Kalima's), The food was all hot, turkey was cooked to perfection, moist! Everyone got a plate of left overs to go & we still had plenty for us to eat over the weekend! I love their stuffing, sweet potatoes, everything they cook! The price is just right and affordable!! The second best thing about ordering food to go from the Kalima's, is seeing Paula's huge smile when picking up the order!! I can't wait until I have a reason to order food from them again! I highly recommend ordering their food for any occasion! The only thing to say about "Kalima's Catering" is THE FOOD IS AMAZING!!!!

My 'ohana (family) and I have been fortunate to have the Catering Kalima's cater many of our parties, from a Retirement Party, to benefit events and even our Thanksgiving meals. Each and every time we are so pleased with the excellent meal they provide. Their customer service is second to none.
