Most amazing experience! First time here and the food was SO ONO! I got the veggie scramble my fiancé got the quesadilla and we shared there special that day which was a chocolate moose waffle. Service was also excellent they were so busy but stayed on top of always checking on us. I will be coming back again for sure!

Cafe Kaila is one of the top picks for breakfasts on the island for me and my family! Yes, it very much is a tourist spot (as evidenced by places like Japan that later adopted their own restaurant based uniquely on Cafe Kaila alone), but for good reason! Their batter for their pancakes is heavenly as it is already flavorful even before adding syrup. The belgian waffle is perfectly balanced between crispy and soft/fluffy. The side of fruits are plentiful as well. The food quality is top notch here. We arrived right after opening on a Saturday to fill ourselves up before going on a waterfall hike and we didn't have to wait (although, we have waited for ~30-45 mins in the past, especially when we came during peak hours). Staff are always welcoming and service is quick! The cafe itself feels very warm and inviting. Parking in the lot can fill up quickly but there's always the option for street parking as well. Overall, absolutely lovely place and people and we hope they continue their business for many more years(:

On a chilly Friday, my grandfather and I spent a lazy morning bopping around kahala/kapahulu when we stumbled upon cafe Kaila. I'd heard good things before, but had always been dissuaded from stopping in, due to rumors of long lines.Luckily, we wandered in around 11am and there were plenty of seats available with no wait time at all. We had the chai latte, coffee, and cinnamon French toast, and frittata omelette. The servings were MASSIVE, and we both left with full bellies and leftovers. The menu is quite extensive, with breakfast options and lunch (served after 11am).The service was very good, and we felt well attended to the entire time. Definitely a good place for a little treat yourself brekkie!!

Chose to eat here after an exhausting visit to the Kaimuki HS Craft fair. They were really busy, as usual, but one of our party had come ahead to sign us in. They accommodated all five of us in the middleof the restaurant & we were able to get our coffee/tea/water right away & order. For those who like lox and bagels but don't want the extra heaviness of a bagel, I highly recommend the Lox Scramble. It comes with either potatoes or rice but I chose to pay $3 extra to have their daily fried rice special, which was really ono & a nice size portion, too.Love this place & so thankful they're still in business since their former neighbor, AnytimeCafe closed not too long ago. Mahalo, guys!!

My friends come here regularly, but this was my first time. It was a great time! We had to wait a bit, but not too long. The waiters were all really nice and we took their recommendation for the waffle. I got the croissant sandwich with potatoes on the side and it was tasty. It was filling, but not too heavy. I would recommend this restaurant for breakfast/brunch. I'm definitely visiting again to try something new.

Back again for Sunday brunch and Cafe Kaila doesn't disappoint! Line was a bit long, but we were able to be seated within 15 minutes. It was busy, but quiet enough to hear each other without having to shout. Casual dining at its finest, and the prices are so reasonable. Server was attentive with water, drinks and condiments. Food came out within 15 minutes, and was delish! Garnish of fruits adds a nice touch, and so sweet and refreshing at the end of the meal. Lots of parking available in Market City, although the stalls are a bit narrow in my opinion. You gotta stop by and check it out! Don't let the long line discourage you, it's worth the wait!

Phenomenal breakfast spot! I can see why they were so crowded. The parking lot had a lot of parking but the spaces were very tight. They had a sign in sheet when you walk in, so no one was readily standing at the front. We called in our order on a busy Saturday, and it took about 20 mins. Portions were huge, and everything tasted amazing. I thought the lox in my omelette was very very salty. The sourdough was a little hard on the edges but it was good. The lox bagel was good too, they gave you plenty of toppings! I'd be back, everything looked and sounded great.

We came for our friends birthday with 6 people and we were able to be seated within 30 min! We were dinning on a saturday morning at 9am but I would recommend coming early to put your name on the list. The food was amazing. I had the avo toast, it was on a thick piece of focaccia bread and I think it would've been great if the bread was sliced in half so it would fit in the mouth and would be like two pieces of avo toast. The special of the day was banana bread french toast and it was SO GOOD. Everything else my friends got but I would come back again!! Our server was amazing and so accommodating since it was our friend's birthday. They brought out candles and a small dessert. The inside is roomy and has plenty of tables as well as a bar. The parking is a whole shopping center so there is parking and in the back near ben franklins. 10/10

In Market City, Cafe Kaila is tucked in the corner with parking in the parking lot in front. There are a number of spaces but the lot can definitely fill up. The restaurant is not very big and there has been a wait each time we have been there. There is usually a wait list out front. While it is typically crowded, the service is efficient and they are friendly. The restaurant is clean and pretty simple. The menu can be overwhelming because there are so many options but we decided to go with the turkey club and cinnamon french toast. The club was filling and the french toast was very good! It was filling and sweet and something we would get again. We hope to come back and try some more of the menu items next time!
