"This restaurant is wonderful, great and friendly service, DELICIOUS food. It's in a great area but a little hidden but totally worth it. We had salad, pizza, pasta. It was so good! We were speaking with the owner and she told us the chef is from Naples. The pizza had a delicious crust almost like sourdough and the sauce was so flavorful. The salads were well portioned and well seasoned. And the pasta was a huge portion and packed with flavor. I wish we had room for dessert! The ambiance is really beautiful with a fountain outside and a nice view of the Waikiki beach walk. We plan to come back whenever we're in Waikiki!"
"Well this sushi spot was a well kept secret that I think people should know about. I came here for my birthday because my first 2 sushi spots were closed on Sundays. Let me just say, thank goodness otherwise I would've discovered this gem. It is tucked away in a small area with a small parking lot for customers. Have no worries about finding parking because it's so hidden that not a lot of people know it's there. When we walked it, only a handful of people full of people there.....super quiet and intimate. I had a specialty roll and my husband had the dragon roll with no seaweed. Yes, not much of a sushi person but requested no seaweed in which they accommodated him. My son tasted his and liked it but of course had to order crispy chicken for him. Both rolls were super good but the chicken was the one that caught my attention. Well made crispy chicken at a Japanese sushi spot was amazing. That is a must try. We mention my birthday and ordered a dessert so they put a candle on there for me to make a wish. Everything was fabulous and will definitely come back again."

"The food is great. Everything about is perfect for including the ambience. The only thing that could improve is the service since it's a bit slow but overall it's worth a try!"
"Showed up for Happy Hour (3-5pm) Labor Day weekend, but was informed that the Happy Hour specials were not being offered during the union strike. My server was super nice and got my drinks quickly despite the circumstances. Hilton had to pivot quickly for food service with CJ's and Round Table pizza serving their menus. Was able to get a table by the pool. The pina colada was refreshing, and the Mai Tai was strong. Even though service was a little slow, everyone was friendly and professional. Would definitely come back when things go back to normal and visit at night during live music. This was the place to be on hotel premises. Thanks for the afternoon cocktails after a long hula festival weekend."

(Last visited December 6, 2022.) Vacationing in Hawaii for a couple of weeks so we're just exploring downtown Waikiki for a little bit, but it's time to eat! So we pulled out our trusty Yelp app to see what's around! We landed on Il Tappo since we like pizza! Let's see how it went!Atmosphere/Appearance: So the entrance to this place is like, through a hotel or something like that. The details are a little hazy, but what I DO REMEMBER is the beautiful fountain right out front and the market looking theme that was actually one of the bars! It was so cool and elegant. Once sat upstairs the views out into the city were beautiful. The restaurant wasn't too loud and felt quite intimate, like a great place for a date.Service: I can't remember who took care of us, but we had no problems whatsoever. I do remember the bartender being super friendly and approachable when we first walked in though.Food: We kept dinner light this evening and tried their Isalata Di Pollo which is a salad containing rucola, cherry tomatoes, olives, roasted chicken & shaved Parmigiano Reggiano. It was crisp, fresh, simple and had an excellent mix of ingredients. Not too over the top at all. We also went for the Margherita Pizza which contains tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella & pesto. Delightfully simple. The pesto was a gentle drizzle as to not overshadow the rich flavors of the sauce and cheese. The crust was light and fluffy with a good crunch around the edges.Value: Our salad was $24.00 and pizza was $23.00. It's Hawaii, it's downtown, it is what it is. Lol. Bring your wallet, you're on vacation right? Unless you live here... then you probably are a baller anyway.I really enjoyed this spot. It was chill, felt tucked away while being in a downtown city. Check it out if you're in the area.

My other half and I love trying new sushi restaurants and this place was perfect for us to spend an early Valentine's dinner with each other. We made reservations for a Saturday night and it was surprisingly not that busy! Tucked away in what seemed like a random building, we were able to find it with the help of signs.Staff were helpful in sake recommendations and attentive throughout the whole meal. For appetizers, we got the wagyu carpaccio--delicious, but for $38 I do wish it came with more than just 4 pieces (granted, it is *wagyu*), a braised kobucha, and an extra large hamachi kama! Also chose to share the Matsuri nigiri set and omakase chirashi. The sushi/sashimi was super buttery soft and fresh and worth the price in my opinion. My favorite of the night would have to be dessert since I have a huge sweet tooth. We got the sake crème brûlée and added the house-made sake ice cream as recommended. I would definitely come back just for that!

High Tea on the veranda is one of my grandmas favorite activities. There have been a few more 'high tea' options popping up around Oahu but nothing compares to the experience at the Kahala Veranda. It's a flat rate - The tea selection is excellent. We love the preparation of the assortment of treats they provide as well. The only issue my grandma has with the food is that there are not enough vegetarian options (she prefers it all vegetarian). But we adjusted, she had all the veggies and I ate the items with meat. Our favorite pastries they offer are the eclairs! The ambiance is relaxing. The high ceilings and open space are very welcoming to sit back and relax in the lounge chairs. Afterwards, we always go for a walk to see the fish pond, dolphins, and orchid wall. It's a very pleasant experience.

Nice spot for a quick drink at happy hour prices, otherwise the drinks are a bit too $$$ in plastic cups. Usually available seating, but it is by the tapa tower pool and the tower entrance so it can have alot of foot traffic if you sitting at a table. 3 stars because of the prices. Service is fast and friendly staff.

Signage is tiny and posted in front of the podium. Look for white walls with numerous framed photos and a bar. Okinawan Sweet Potato Hash: Gluten free entree with the perfect amount of carbs, scrambled eggs, arugula, seasonings, and spices. Ideal if you'd like to save room or space for a cocktail, mocktail, coffee, or H2O. Mango lemonade: Virgin beverage. Initial fizz or carbonation followed by a light combination of mango and lemonade. Group of seven enjoyed lively conversations. Servers were very patient and accommodating. Restrooms are located on 1R or downstairs. Parking options: street parking, metered street parking, or drive in SALT at Our Kaka'ako parking garage, take the elevator to 2R, and get your ticket validated with the restaurant.

We chose Coral Creek Pueo Restaurant as our wedding venue. We were blown by how amazingly well Adel T, the events corrodinator/manager, took care of us! The ceremony area with the gazebo and the waterfall in the background was like a fairytale! From the moment we booked the venue up until the day of the wedding Adel went above and beyond for us. She kept in touch and kept us up to date on all changes, answered any questions that we had, and even met with us and our vendors on numerous occasions. I'm so grateful from the above exceptional service we received from Adel and the rest of the staff at Pueo. Our menu was made easily with so many options to choose from. We were able to customize a menu that fit my husbands and my expectations. Everything was delicious! The fish and teriyaki chicken was my favorite. Overall, our experience with Pueo exceeded our visions and made our wedding extra special. I'm so glad we chose to have our big day and would recommend anyone who is planning to have a wedding/graduation/retirement/first birthday party etc. with out breaking your pocket with Waikiki prices please consider Pueo. Ask for Adel, she's beautiful inside and out and amazing to work with!

I remember when Aunty Pasto's was located somewhere else. When they moved to where they are now, my family stopped going, I think because parking can kind of be difficult to find. I recently went back to Aunty pastos though because I was on the hunt for the best eggplant parmigiana and the reviews here were good! I called in an order and picked up on afternoon before going to a potluck. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana with spaghetti and the fresh clams with linguine. Pick up was easy and fast. As I was waiting for the guy to get my order form the kitchen, I was looking at the menu and around the restaurant. It's a pretty big space and nicely decorated. They had some lunch specials posted on the wall too that seemed affordable. When I got to the potluck, everyone loved both pasta dishes. I liked the interesting shape of the fettuccine noodles and I think of the two, I preferred the clam sauce. I'd be back for some delicious pasta. I heard a rumor that aunty pastos was going to close, but I really hope that's not the case. Italian food scene is a little limited in Hawaii, so it's nice to have options.

"Mana + Pua is a cute boho restaurant/bar located in Salt Kakaako (2nd floor). I've been to the one in Haleiwa which is more of a cafe and wine bar. I believe the one at Salt has more food options. I've only been to this one twice and it was for brunch. Honestly, I really enjoy the food here. They have a simple menu but I like that because I'm an indecisive person lol. I actually recently came here to celebrate my birthday because I love that it has open air and it's aesthetic. Plus it is has a bigger table centered in the middle which is perfect for birthday celebrations. What we ordered:Lobster Waffles - this is a savory dish with a crispy fried lobster, sweet corn compound butter and bourbon maple syrup! Not cheap though.. $42!Grilled Vegetable Board - I loved this! It had an assortment of seasonal grilled veggies. Great way to get some veggies in.Steak & Eggs - This was pretty generous piece of rib eye served with fluffy eggs. So good!Duck Fat Fries - a must!Strawberry and Miso French Toast - if you want something sweet, this was really good to have among the other savory dishes. The prices are little high here but I think the food quality is good. My family and I enjoyed everything. Their coffee was also really good. They serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as well. The only complaint is that the food/service can take a bit long but the staff are really friendly and welcoming!"
"Headed out here in need of a place that was open for a very early morning breakfast. Saw that Pueo's Restaurant was open at the bright and early time of 0600 every morning! I have passed by this establishment many times, but was unsure if the restaurant was only accessible to it's golfing patrons. Upon arrival though, we were greeted by a very nice gentleman named Glen whom we later found out was also our server. He informed us the restaurant was open to the public. Then he ushered us in and quickly served us up some nice piping, hot coffee. Shortly afterwards, he took our orders. The following items were ordered:THE FOODThe Early Bird Special ($7.99 each) x 2:a. 2 eggs over easy, Portuguese sausage, and rice w/ a coffee.b. 2 eggs poached (per special request), spam, and extra crispy hash brown w/ a coffee.Talk about an awesome breakfast deal, which is available from 0600-1000.THE SERVICEGlen was so pleasant and attentive! An exceptional server with such a warm and friendly aura about him. He took very good care of us and made sure we had everything we needed.THE DEALSThe restaurant itself was clean and inviting. There was a large TV and an open bar. I saw they had HAPPY HOUR DRAFT SPECIALS Mon-Fri 1400-1700. And GAME TIME SPECIAL (Game Day Mon & Thur) Bud Light Draft Pitchers for $10. And their Everyday PUPU MENU ranges from $6-$14. What a good deal!OVERALL THOUGHTSImo, customer service weighs heavy on what can make a 4 star rating a 5 star experience. And Glen definitely kicked this up a notch to a 5 star experience! Menu is also very reasonably priced. Did I mention they also serve oxtail soup? We will definitely come back here to experience what else Pueo's Restaurant has to offer :)"
"We came around 7:30pm on a Monday night and found street parking right in front of the restaurant. And we were seated right away. I ordered the Fresh Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp, and the shrimp was cooked perfectly. The pasta was delicious, though they were a little too generous with the sauce for my taste. My companion ordered the Carbonara with spaghetti and it was rich, smoky from the bacon . . extremely tasty! We also got the Fennel, Sausage & Roasted Pepper pizza (which tasted like they used Hillshire Farms sausage), but still done well. And their Homemade Tiramisu was so light, it melt in my mouth, and very flavorful. Service was very amiable, sweet and attentive. It is a bit warm in the restaurant, but the décor is charming, classic Italian-American. If you're looking for Italian-American food done well, I would recommend Auntie Pasto's."
