"Live on O'ahu but got married on the garden isle of Kaua'i during the peak of Covid. Our ordainer, Nei-Moana, moved mountains for us. She studied Botany and helped identified wild maile vines that we were blessed enough to utilize for my husband's lei since purchasing material was very difficult during the height of Covid. We were grateful to have our immediate family members with us with the people restriction and Moana was graciously able to fly over to Kaua'i for us so we could follow through with our special day. She listened to all my asks and respectfully listened to my family's wishes as well and blended everything so effortlessly. Moana can do it all, just tell her what your wants are and she'll do whatever she can to make your special day come true, mind you during our wedding day, she was pregnant with her third child, bless her and all her sons. It was the perfect way to kick off our wedding weekend. The bartenders were fabulous--not just during the welcome party but throughout our entire stay. With our hotel block at the Queen Kapiolani for the week, it truly felt like we were in an episode of Cheers, where the bartenders knew our names and made every visit so personal and fun. Their warmth and hospitality added such a memorable touch to our celebrations. It's an exceptional venue, and we couldn't recommend the team at Queen Kapiolani Hotel enough for any group events. "Lisa did a fantastic job as our wedding coordinator. She was easy to work with, responsive, and coordinated with all of our vendors to ensure our day went smoothly. She had great knowledge of our venue and insight to share regarding our program. She and her assistant worked really hard the day of to set up our favors, linens, napkins, check-in table, lawn games, and much more. Everything turned out even better than I could've imagined. I want to share a little glimpse into our wedding day that displays how truly amazing Lisa is: We were on the fence about our outdoor setup because it was off and on raining. We were all constantly checking our weather forecast apps to help make the call on whether or not to move our tables under the pavilion. While I can see most coordinators urging me to just play it safe and move everything in, Lisa didn't do that. She trusted me and respected me and said she would support whichever decision I made. "After seeing the marquee lights on a friend's Instagram, I immediately knew I would need those lights at my wedding. I asked my friend and she gladly gave me the name of her vendor, which turned out to be Designed with Aloha. What a perfect name. It was a pleasure working with Anthony, who was incredibly responsive from the very beginning. Anthony presented us with two types of aloha setups; you could either have a pineapple or heart where the letter 'o' would be. We opted for the heart. Communication was always a breeze. Anthony was very transparent with pricing, offered pictures and advice, when necessary. When our guest size decreased significantly due to a chain of events and we needed to downsize our dance floor, Anthony had no qualms with it. I was honestly nervous when I reached out to him because I didn't think the dance floor would be proportional to our guest size. Luckily he was very flexible and amended our contract to reflect the changes. I never had the opportunity to meet Anthony the day of the wedding but once I saw the lights and dance floor, my heart melted. It was everything I had dreamed of; the lights were GORGEOUS and the dance floor was beautiful. I have to also mention that the dance floor is made of good quality. It rained the morning of our wedding so needless to say, the grass was still wet. Seeing how the dance floor was wet from the grass (due to people having to get off the dance floor to grab more booze), I thought a lot of people were going to slip, including myself. Everyone was fine, even when uncoordinated from the alcohol so I must say, I was impressed with the dance floor. Everyone truly loved the aloha lights and it was the perfect backdrop for our wedding photos. I'm so glad we got the lights, dance floor, and opportunity to work with Anthony. He does great work and is an awesome guy. Book him!"

Full of great inspo.The planning resources they provide are very useful, especially for folks that may feel overwhelmed with where to start in regards to how to prioritize invitations, create a budget, create seating charts, etc. Though I feel like I could've gone with the shorter/less-expensive packages, I'm glad I went with the three-month package. The three months allowed us more spaciousness to focus on things like planning our rehearsal lunch, managing RSVPs, virtually wrangling our wedding party for their outfit fittings, etc. while we handed off more of the vendor communication and administrative tracking to their team. "Kahu Pomaika'i conducts gorgeous wedding ceremonies in Hawaii as well as certain areas of the mainland U.S. In addition she performs blessings, ho'oponopono ceremonies and lomilomi massage. I have been fortunate enough to receive the latter three services. I cannot recommend Kahu Pomaika'i enough. She's extremely calming and graceful, knowledgeable and intuitive, skilled and connected. Kahu actually conducted a ho'oponopono for me on the island of Kauai in 2009; I had a fractured elbow and wrist and was in a good amount of pain, both physically and emotionally (many time the two are connected, as you probably know). She led me into the calm Haena waters and chanted over me, praying for my healing. I kid you not, I was healed instantly. And I am not a hysterical personality, either, I assure you. Spiritual as I am, I possess a healthy dose of rationality and skepticism. Nonetheless, I went into the water with her in a lot of pain, and then ... it was gone. I really was healed.I believe in Kahu Pomaika'i's gifts and talents and anybody lucky enough to obtain her for weddings, blessings or the ho'oponopono ceremony are fortunate indeed."

"It's Filipino tradition to release doves at our wedding. I had my wedding planner search for dove releases in Oahu. It took quite some time. Luckily, she was able to find Maureen! She offered either 2 or 12 doves. There's nothing in between, just those 2 options. For our wedding, 2 doves is all we need. The price that she quoted was reasonable, which is why we decided to go with her. She doesn't respond to e-mail that quick, but she is great on the phone. My planner is the one who deals with her directly. This is the sense that I get from their communication. She doesn't accept credit card, just check. I just decided to hire her, and I am sending off the check in the mail today. UPDATE: The doves were at my wedding in time for our ceremony, and we were able to have them be part of our ceremony. My wedding planner was able to connect with them to make all of this seamless. During the ceremony, they patiently waited to the side, and when the time came for us to release the doves, they instructed us on how to do it! I have no complaints. Everything was perfect and beautiful!"

The tent was big enough to hold over 300 guests, a dance floor and the buffet line all under the tent. The bride & groom also had their own tented area (connected to the main tent) that had a clean backdrop and a BEAUTIFUL chandelier!! The lighting for the tent was perfect for the outdoor night wedding, white Christmas lights lined the edges of the tent and lighting throughout the top of the tent was provided. The lighting made the tent very bright and open (you could hardly tell that there were over 300 people under this huge tent). The lighting was also dimmed during the dancing. The tent was HUGE, well put together and very clean! Great job Hawaii Special Events, another great job!"

"Had my wedding with Jodi green. Jodi was very nice and accommodating, but she wore a black robe with a huge sun hat. She looked scary to me. Her house is right by the beach. Great location. We didn't even get a beach permit. We got married in her back yard and took so many pictures. Her back yard has beach access. Just the most amazing beautiful place. I didn't like it at all that she wore all black. So if you are getting married make sure you know what Jodi is wearing. She kept telling us that she was sick. But a wedding is a wedding. You should look bright and at least she should have worn something more colorful being that it was in Hawaii. "Lauren was the key player in our wedding. Without her, we wouldn't have had the perfect wedding. Her knowledge and connections she has with many of the vendors made the planning process and coordination smooth. As someone who is extremely anxious, I appreciate Lauren's promptness at responding to emails. Most of the time, she would respond back the same day I send out an email! The relief and reassurance she provided me that we were on the right track to getting things done really calmed my nerves down, and I am forever grateful for her for that. Lauren also provided a very thorough timeline for the wedding day, which we went over multiple times to ensure that nothing was missed and everything/everyone was accounted for. Since our wedding was at two locations (one location for the ceremony and another location for the reception), a strict timeline was necessary. On the day of, she took care of EVERYTHING. I had no worries in the world, which NEVER happens. This was all thanks to her and her team. I can't recommend them enough. Thank you again for being a part of our special day!"

"I cannot say enough about Karine and her team at SOlE! They are amazing! I engaged SOlE a year before my destination wedding. From day one I was impressed by Karine and her operation. I made one trip to Honolulu and Karine and her team arranged so many meetings with wonderful vendors and they attended most. It was a fantastic start! The team is so good at communicating and is hyper-organized which I so appreciate! They had fantastic checklists to keep me in check and a timeline for the event that was amazing! Throughout the year they were wonderful about emails and skyping and they were always super responsive. They led us in the right direction for vendor selection and were just pros int he event planning. The wedding was absolutely the wedding of my dreams and I know it would not have happened with out SOLE. I had many people tell me that they were glad they had already had their wedding, because mine was so great. A HUGE THANK YOU to Karine, Desiree, Faith and her team.
