"Fort Street Cafe is such a gem. Recently worked with Vince on a catering order for a party and everything was delivered on time and tasted great. we ordered the garlic chicken, spring rolls, summer rolls (shrimp and tofu). Highly recommend for catering and such a great value for the cost!"
"I've driven past this restaurant almost every day for over a decade and only in 2024 did I decide to try it.Located next to a gas station, it's a very unassuming restaurant offering standard Vietnamese fare. The inside is dated, but I think they like that. There's a full bar which helps with the ample seating of several long tables capable of holding parties as large as sixteen and a handful of more intimate tables of four people. Parking is a crapshoot as it shares a lot with the gas station next door with a few stalls against the wall. There is some street parking depending on the time of the day.My better half and I got shrimp spring rolls, Banh Mi Bo Kho (beef stew with French bread), and meatball pho.The spring rolls had fresh vegetables, chewing wrapping and okay sized shrimp. The dipping sauce was excellent. The pho was decent in flavor and came with many meatballs. The Vietnamese beef stew had a lot of brisket but was spicier than I expected. The French bread was nothing to write home about and I wish you could substitute noodles instead. The staff are polite but do take their time. It was empty for most of the time we were there, which may have explained their leisurely cooking.Decent, but there are so many other good Vietnamese eateries in the area.3.5 stars."

"Love this place! The owner is very friendly and helpful. The food is delicious and there are alot of different choices for any appetite. Mini plates are big enough to fill you up. The regular plate, I end up taking most of it home. They have a great grab and go selection to choose from and everything is fresh!"
"My friend and I stopped by on Sunday, 12/1/24, at 12:30p for lunch at Ribs and Broth. My friend visited before and said they had wonderful Pho dishes. We were seated and given our menus. My friend ordered the Steak Pho and also added Tofu to it. She also had the Combo Banh Mi. She loved the broth and steak with tofu along with her Banh Mi. She took home 1/2 of her Banh Mi for later. She also ordered a fried rice plate to take home for her son.I ordered the BBQ Pork & Spring Rolls Vermicelli. The serving sizewas substantial and the flavoring of the pork and the crispness of the spring roll and nuts with the sauce and the vermicelli and vegetables combined for a well rounded and seasoned and textured bite. I also ordered their Vietnamese coffee drink that was perfectly sweet with the robust coffee taste, that I look forward to. I also got a Combo Banh Mi to go.Ribs and Broth is a fabulous Vietnamese restaurant. I will definitely be back to try their Pho dishes the next time I'm in Waipahu."
"Best Bun Rieu iʻve tried in Honolulu so far. I love all the veggies, Bloodcake, & soft fried tofu. It def makes Bun Rieu complete with these. Service is also so friendly and a family own business."
"They give a good portion of food to be honest and prices are fairly reasonable. I think the best thing in my opinion is they open early at 9am.I had the veggie sandwich for lunch it was tasty. My friend had tofu pad thai I enjoyed the sample I got you could really taste the peanuts and fish sauce. We also got summer rolls which tasted ok I'm a sucker for peanut sauce and theirs isn't bad but it is a little runnier then I'm used to.The shop itself is nice it has a bunch of tables and nice thai decor. I also appreciate that this ba-le is multicultural with Vietnamese and also Thai food."
"Hi all, two words for this restaurant are that MOST TRY .In the island of Hawaii it is difficult to find a nice restaurant to eat out and enjoy it. So this place has it.The place has a cool dining area, cozy with dim lights .It is a busy place even on weekdays so you must have a reservation all the time to get in fast .The service is professional and the food comes on time for all the dishes you order. Finally, the food is Amazzing. Full of flavors and fresh ingredients that's you don't find in other restaurants on the island .The menu is more than just an Asian food because in the menu they have American cuisine and middle eastern cuisine which it was made with love that's made me feel happy . They have a Middle East dish called lamb with hummus and side of pita bread on Arabic we call it ( hummus with lahma) you must try it.Enjoy and have a great experience with the real food ."
"We ate like royalty! The food were delicious, light, and fresh. Friendly customer service as well. I will definitely come back when I visit my Ohana."
"Enjoyed the food here!! My favorite is the saimin with chicken dumplings. So different and delicious. Would have never tried that dish, it was recommended to me. Haven't tried any other dish! Now it's my favorite."
"Saito Pho is definitely worth checking out. One of the best pho spots I've been to on the east side of the island. The broth is perfectly seasoned--not too salty, just full of flavor. The noodles have that perfect bouncy texture and the portions they give are generous. The service was fast"
"My grandma suggested coming here and I'm so glad we did. I love a bahn mi! So much flavor!! Not dry at all. Highly recommend if you are in town and love a good sandwich."
"My first experience there was wonderful! I'm surprise there wasn't more people at this place. The wait staff were very friendly and helpful. I had the humongous bowl of pho with a huge rib bone, 3 big prawns, and a huge lobster! Also, there was more meat in the bowl!! I wasn't there for a contest nor was I trying to make a world record, so sadly I couldn't eat it all. But the soup was fantastic. The meat on the Rib bone was tender. The dipping sauce for the lobster was flavorful. They gave me a lot of vegetables . I had food for the rest for the rest of my weekend! I'll be sensible next time and order a smaller bowl. But I'll be back!"

I used to frequent this place in college. One of the more affordable places with quality food to eat on mall. GARLIC CHICKEN IS A MUST! Recently came back on vacation and was staying in town so I took a trip back because I remembered how flavorful the garlic chicken is. The area is not the greatest since it's crawling with homeless, but don't let that deter you from trying their garlic chicken breakfast combo. It's cheaper than a breakfast platter at McDs. It's the best on Oahu!!! So good, even my daughter agrees, and she's picky!

This place is so yummy it deserves 5 stars regardless of the ambience. We had Pho Bo Vien. Very flavorful. Been here 2 times now. The food here is out of control yummy. It deserves a line out the door. Don't forget to top your meal off with the Fresh Mango pudding. Mmmmmh We live on Maui and eat here every time we come to Honolulu.

Love their menu choices of "grag and go" for lunch downtown; vegetarian and vegan options available. Food is fresh, satisfying, and delicious. Price is fair. Condiments available, no charge. The place is clean. Service is great. Owner, staff are friendly and always greeting the customers with a smile. Love this business. Recommend.

Their beef rib pho was amazing and I would go back again to reorder it. Ribs & Broth is located in the small shopping center right across from the Waipahu Mcdonalds. I saw that they had great reviews on Yelp and was a brand new restaurant so decided to give them a try. The staff is friendly and attentive. The interior is a little on the smaller side in terms of table seating wise. Luckily when we went it wasn't packed so we got seated right away. The beef rib pho had a great broth flavor while the beef rib was super tender. It was a bit difficult to eat but totally worth it.

Lunch in Honolulu's Chinatown...When metered street parking is free on Sundays, that's one of the best days (besides holidays) to dine in Chinatown! Why else would you want to go where some unsavory characters hang out on the sidewalks and in doorway nooks?Another benefit of dining in Chinatown is the lower prices at certain establishments. The rent is probably lower and the volume of customers might be higher.Dear Daniel had some free time between appointments and said that he was craving some Vietnamese soup. Ok - I haven't been to Anh Hong before - let's go!Located on King Street, near the River Street intersection, Anh Hong is one of the many Vietnamese restaurants in the area. Inside, the environment looks clean, new, and spacious. There's supposed to be a convenient restroom, but I didn't check it out...Another perk of this restaurant is the complimentary "tea water". It may not sound like much, but on a warm July afternoon, it is refreshing! It's like a watered down barley-ish tea with ice. It's unsweetened and not bitter... Just right!Service was quite good! Dear Daniel had to ask for the little chopped chili peppers that usually come on the side. Other than that, I have no complaints.I ordered the #14 which is BBQ pork and Spring Rolls on vermicelli. It's my "go to" dish because it has some of everything: fresh veggies, fried Spring Rolls, grilled pork, and boiled noodles. That's carbs, fiber, and protein - all in one bowl! The sweet chili sauce with pickled shredded carrots and daikon gave the dish added flavor! Yum!I wouldn't mind returning... As long as it's on a Sunday or holiday... LOL!

I can't believe I have never reviewed The Pig & The Lady? Say what!Where do I begin? This restaurant is located in the heart of Chinatown in Honolulu and is an absolute gem. With Chef Andrew Le at the helm, the restaurant offers a creative take on tradition Vietnamese flavors and dishes and has grown in popularity over the years. They have been named one of the best restaurants in Hawaii and continue to impress with their inventive dishes. My first time here was back in 2014 and I have been a fan ever since. Upon entering their doors, you'll notice a mix of modern and eclectic design that blends industrial elements with unique, artistic touches throughout.During that first initial visit we got their bahn mi and pho. They have one of the most flavorful phos I have ever tried. The broth is rich with many layers of flavors that develop over many hours of cooking. It's a must try. When we finally visited again back in September. My other half got the pho again and I got my favorite Le Fried Chicken (LFC) Wings which is twice fried and comes with makrut leaves, pickled onion, peanut, and doused in their money $$$auce. From the very first time I tried this dish, I fell in love. Chicken wings are one of my favorite things ever and this was the most unique, flavorful take I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Fish sauce and wings? MONEY, for real. I was mind blown and still am. I crave this all. the. time. So much so that I packed my left overs and brought it home to Maui, lol. They also have fun soft serve flavors that rotate frequently. I got a PB&J soft serve at their sister location a while back and loved it, so I decided to try the apple pie soft serve. The cheese crumbles were a bit hard for my liking and overall I just thought it was ok, but it's probably because I'm not a big fan of apple pie in general. I just really love ice cream/soft serves and have to try everything, so I'm glad I tried it.All in all, I highly recommend The Pig & The Lady. Definitely try to get a reservation if you can as it does get busy quite often.

"Per Yelp, i saw that there were 2 other locations of Madame Saigon. One at Remington College building and other at Pioneer Plaza. I'm not sure if the other 2 locations are still open. This location is located 1008 Bishop St American Savings Tower. It is on the left My Barbecue korean food and around the corner is Jack in The Box.I went into the business and took photos but didn't bother to ask the employee if this a new location. I had their food at Remington College."
"Amazing owners. A hidden jem. Best spring rolls on the Windward side. +Pho is definitely a go to for us as well. So many choices!!! And while you wait, there's a lot of little trinkets for you to peruse. Got my niece a really cute set of earrings and another niece some very cute slippers. Plus a pair for me lol. My favorite dish is the vermicelli with pork and spring rolls. I eat that every week to satisfy my cravings. No picture because we dig in too fast to want to take pics. But trust me, this place is amazing!!"
"We seen this place open in Kaneohe and wanted to try it out. Lots of parking and tables, outside and indoor. Kinda homie ambiance. I was greeted by a really nice lady. We decided to do a takeout and after I placed my order she gave me a glass of water to wait for my order. Their takeout only has med, large and X-Large and that was fine with me. My Pho was really tasty and the vegetables was fresh. So far I think this is the best Pho in Kaneohe. Don't take my word for it, try it for yourself!!"
"Good pho. Lots of veggies. Meat was good. They close 230 pm. Good service too. Would come again"
"I stumbled upon this place after I picked up my order from Eden in Love. It's a booth right outside of fishcake next to the Eden in Love building. There was small crowd of what seemed like regulars. The mother of the baker drew me in when I was walking by. She spoke with such pride about how her daughter made everything and explained each item. They had a variety of Vietnamese bakery and fried items with some vegetarian options. I decided to get a vegetarian curry pastry, pate pastry, sesame donut, and a veggie spring roll. The mother of the baker was SO CUTE and explained how the sesame donut was her favorite; she even rang a bell to celebrate the fact that I bought one! ALL items I bought were so delicious. The service, the taste, the quality of items, and the hospitality of the baker's mother is the reason why I'll be returning to try other items! If you're in the area on a Saturday during 11-2, I highly recommend stopping by!"
"I LOVE sandwiches! This banh mi spot opens early in the morning. Located at the 808 Center on the 3rd floor. There's a few seating inside and outside. We decided on takeout since there's minimal parking. We did a phone order for the Saigon special (variety of meat) and a lemongrass chicken. It was about $11.50 for each sandwich. They make it fresh when ordered. The bread was toasted and was crispy. The meat and vegetables had a balance amount portion. The sandwich was delicious!"
"Pad Mee Combo - DEEELICIOUS!!!!Hidden gem north shore Kahuku. Have to try it. Freshest food by the food trucks. Vegetarian options too"
"Wow pleasantly surprised. This small mom and pop shop with the guy speaking broken English serves up on of the best combo phos on island. Their broth is savory with depth and a hint of sweetness, exactly how I like it. All the meats - brisket, tripe, rare steak, are tender and flavorful. The herbs are fresh and plentiful bagged up for us in our takeout order. The pho costs about $17.50 each, which is not cheap but slightly above average. The location in Kakaako isn't the best and it's not the nice part of Kakaako, yet the prices are higher than expected. Oh well at least their pho is amazing and this can be our new regular takeout spot now!Parking can be challenging even for just a quick pickup. I ended up parking outside of some business in its driveway on Queen st with my emergency lights on. Otherwise there are maybe 4 curb spots on Cooke st outside the restaurant, but there are at least 2 other restaurants adjacent to Niu so it can be challenging I suppose."
"Recently revisited this place twice in the last few weeks, and I must say, food is back on point!! Not sure if they've undergone an ownership or management change (or not!), but whatever the case, I'm once again a fan of this establishment!! Located in the lobby of a residential condo building, this place is truly a ~convenience~ store in every possible way! It more or less has everything you might need, plus and added bonus of delicious food they make to order! If I lived in that building, I'd be going to Amana Liquor at least once a week, if not more!! Great little unassuming mom and pop shop that sells all your typical convenience mart goods, as well as offers yummy Vietnamese takeout!! I'm so ecstatic Amana Liquor has gotten her groove back and then some!! Added this spot to the regular rotation and will definitely be a frequent customer! :D"
"Stumbled upon this little spot after driving up the leeward coast and decided to stop to by and try something different. This place hit the spot! Tried the tofu bahn mi and the veggie pho. The bread was perfect and filled with lots of yummy tofu and veg. The pho satisfied on a hot winter day and service was quick at the place. Full of locals and was glad to stop by and support a Hawaiian business."
"This little blue food truck is hard to miss when you are driving on the main road of the town called Kahuku. It is one of the many food trucks in the area. If you are looking for something that will satisfy your cravings for Thai or Vietnamese food, you have to check this place out. Owners are a tandem of an amazing team who cooks up amazing-delicious food. My family and I definitely enjoyed the food we ordered, did not get to take pictures of the food we got. There are also a few table seating (benches) that you can sit down and enjoy your food."
"I'm addicted to their beef stew with (fragrant) rice. It is different then local beef stew so please understand the difference! The pieces of meat is not chunks of beef, but more beef pieces and tendon. The broth is so tasty!! Especially with their flavorful rice."
"The restaurant located inside Chinese Cultural Plaza. A lot of Parking in the building. Lunch time usually busy and might need to wait in line. Spring rolls: (10/10) The best spring rolls in town. Crunchy with lots of stuffing. Love to wrap with the lettuce. Combination Pho: (9/10) Hot and Flavorful soup base. Everything like basil and meat are so fresh. Iced Coffee: (8/10) Very strong coffee flavorOverall that's my favorite pho place. In the future, I hope they'll have more selection in the menu like Pork Chop rice or Bánh mì."
"Had a delicious bowl of the chicken udon noodle pho today with an iced coffee. The soup was so tasty and had heaps of chicken and garlic. So good as I am fighting off a cold bug. Nice to have an option for udon noodles. The cook was smart and snipped them into short pieces so that they easily fit on the spoon. The bathroom was clean! Yes! In Chinatown! I think Yelp should have a bonus button for this. The Staff were very friendly and excellent service was had. I could tell this place was a neighborhood favorite for early soup as the customers were a plenty.Highly recommend. Enjoy!"
"Pretty good pho on the 2nd floor of McCully Shopping Center. I walk there, otherwise would go less often due to the parking. It's a good amount of food for the price and the interior is kind of dated, but fine. Service is good, but can get chaotic and slow if they are busy. Never bad service, just need to be patient with them if a lot of customers show up at the same time as you. Not a destination, but a great place to have in the neighborhood."
"Sometimes you just need a quick in-and-out type of eatery that has plenty of parking, lots of seating and decent food. It separates itself from other Pho joints because you don't have to look for street parking or look for parking in some overcrowded pay lot like their nearby neighbor down the street in Kaimuki. The Kaimuki plaza always has ample parking on the upper deck. I walk right in and get my Pho fix in less than 20 minutes. Sometimes if I hit this place solo, it's okay. They have a big screen TV streaming the Food Network to keep me entertained. I always go with the Pho Tai and sometimes with company, we share some spring rolls. It's really hard to screw up Pho and I don't think they do a bad job here. I like that you don't get the msg high after eating like a lot of other places. It's a bit of a cleaner taste. Some people may not like that, but if you're a health nut or don't care for too much msg, then you're in luck. What's even better is that a few doors down for dessert there's the cookie corner. Get your cookie on and get your shopping done at Long's next door or Times Supermarket downstairs."
"The food isn't bad. Service is great, the waitress was very nice. The prices are pretty reasonable. The interior isn't incredible but it's not dirty."
"If you're in Waikiki and craving a bowl of noodle soup, you'll be satisfied with R&B in the Styx Asia food court. Once you're inside and seated, it doesn't feel like a food court or hall, it feels like a cozy little cafe with friendly service and well-prepared food. I enjoyed my vegetarian pho; the broth had a nice balanced flavor, and the dish included a good amount of noodles, fresh veggies, and tofu plus a side plate of bean sprouts, basil sprigs, lime wedges, and jalapeno slices. My friend enjoyed her combo meat bowl of pho and we both took home leftovers. The food is legit. Our overly experience was excellent. We were seated right away, received ample good service including taking our order, answering our questions, bringing us to-go containers, and handling our bill. I know those are normal things, but the staff was consistently attentive and fast in responding. Highly recommend!"
"The super rolls are so amazing!! My favorite thing on the menu highly recommend. Great service, employee are very friendly Cute , hold in the wall shop"
"Thanks to my lunch buddy for reminding of this place. Pho Que Huong has been my to go place for Vietnamese food.Their pho is always good, but you have to try their Vietnamese crepe that's loaded with shrimp, pork belly and mung bean. Their spicy beef noodle soup is also good and has the right vegetable toppings. I usually get this with pho noddles. Service is ok as well as the ambiance. It was busy here on my last lunch visit."
"Food comes out hot and fast and is tasty. It's very air conditioned so bring a sweater or something to cover up in. Get takeout and go to Foodland to shop while you're waiting and food will be ready. It's always fast which is nice when you're hungry. However the most notable thing about this place is the service. The woman who is always there - I've been there at night and during the day weekends and weekdays - she works hard and is so friendly and really treats her customers like close friends. We've seen her talk to a large group of tourists (how did they end up in market city?) and patiently walk them through the menu and figure out seating. We've seen her enthusiastically greet individuals who may be regulars and she asks them about how they're doing or if so and so will join them. She's kind and friendly and warm to the point that the hub and I always comment on it when we go."
"I was very satisfied after eating here. Service was friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was comforting and the food was 10/10 I got #33 vermicelli bowl becusee I was craving something refreshing would go here again!"
