"11 out of 10. No exaggeration this Surfer's Soufflé French Toast from Hiking Hawaii Cafe in Honolulu is the best I have ever had. Matt and his team full sent it with this one!!! Carb up before you carve out . I am honored to be their test subject for this new menu item and any future ones (They also have healthy stuff like açaí bowls and other breakfast staples)"
"This is a review of their banquet hall.Just hosted a surprise retirement party for my Mom here.I've dined here throughout the years and the food speaks for itself. Time tested family recipes keep everyone coming back. This isn't some hidden gem but a family dynasty and a local favorite for generations here in Hawaii. This was my first time however hosting an event here. The level of customer service was just as excellent as their food. From beginning to end, all of my questions were answered and the event manager Anna was super helpful. In terms of affordability? They can't be beat. We booked a Sunday luncheon for our event and it was a minimum of 100 guests. I was extremely happy with the value we got with the delicious famous Ige's food and service we received. Also, beverages like water/juice and coffee were included. They also allowed us to bring outside pupus with NO additional charge. They did however require us to provide the paper plates and cutlery for the pupus, which we had no problem with. The staff made set up so easy. Tables were all covered and all we had to do was set up our decorations. Break down was just the same, with us only having to take down our decorations. In fact, we naturally were throwing away our own trash by habit but the staff were so kind enough to let us know that they will gladly do that for us. So so happy with the experience we had with Masa's Cafeteria. The place and food brought back so many happy memories for our guests of all ages. Everyone felt at home and felt so cozy. If you're looking for a laid back venue to host a party with genuine friendly customer service and legendary tasty food, please give this place a try."
"Jurassic Park, bring extra balls, be prepared for a wet round... all things you might've already heard. Amazing mountain/forest views! Play smart and you'll be fine! If you've never played, you have to! The course will provide you with plenty of challenges, but none that are unmanageable. Just don't run out of balls! The course and infrastructure is in great shape! The staff is always great! It was a wet day the last time out so it was cart path only, so you had to play smart or walk an extra mile!"

Only open on weekdays. Made time to go there and get there lunch options. They have set menu options each day during the weekday. Everything looks good! The food reminds me of school meals I used to have. Parking available.I got the Mini Pork cutlet $10.50~- Gravy with pork cutlet over rice. I'm so glad the gravy wasn't too salty. The pork was thin. I liked it!Great spot for cheap eats. I would come back to try other options!

Been to this course 3 times now over maybe 10 years? So not often, but we've seen it change over time. This is a beautiful course! Don't let what I'm about to say negate that, because it really is breathtaking. Definitely has a Jurassic park feel on holes 1-9. 10-18 are your more typical open course feel. However, this course has sadly gone downhill. It seems like more of a tourist attraction for $165 than a kept up golf club. You can't use the driving range. It's been closed since COVID the staff told us. That's 5 years ago...why isn't it back up and running now?? Definitely takes the warm up you get from that out of things. There are no cart girls. You can only get food / drinks at the start and passing the 9th hole. No drinking water available on the course either, so that's again at the start or end of the 9th hole as you pass the clubhouse. Thankfully for free. The greens have Bermuda growing all over them, so there are no good puts. They bounce all over the place and any good reads will be thrown off by the grass. The cart paths are pretty bumpy with pit holes from 1-9. When we played in February 2025, you did holes 2-8, 1, and then 9. So they're redoing some of the structure I guess. 3b was unplayable. We love the idea of this course, but if you want good greens and a higher class round for the money, try somewhere else. But if you don't care and just love the scenery this place offers, definitely play here.

Came to Germaine's Luau for my and my son's birthday. On recommendation of comedian Gabriel Iglesias. We got there a little early (30 minutes), and was able to enjoy some time at the beach park next-door. The staff was amazing. From the ladies, working the parking, the ladies working the ticket booth, the gentleman directing us for pictures and drinks. Overall, every person we met, there was spectacularly wonderful. Especially since it was Thanksgiving day. The person who gave us our little tattoos, was also an excellent dancer. The young ladies, who made the flowers for our hair, also amazing dancers. Watching them pull the pig from the pit was awesome, the food was delicious, the pork was tender, the vanilla buttercream cake was absolutely perfect. Just sweet enough. Everything felt like homemade food and it was a lovely experience.

"Definitely the best luau on the island. Away from all the crowds with good parking and decent food. The dancers are the best out of several luaus we have tried with all the different friends & families that have visited the island."
