"I always make a stop at Leahi in Kaimuki every time I'm in town in Hawaii. I've seen Leahi when it started as a small health food stand and expand now toa small indoor / outdoor cafe. With various locations throughout Honolulu. I love the food (healthy choices ) smoothies and Kombucha . Leahi never disappoints. The entire menu is good something for every health conscious individual. I can't wait to return ."
"This is the best vegan in Waikiki, hands down, no holds barred, 100%, and I say this because I tried all "3" of the vegan places in the area during a recent trip. We ate literally everything on the menu at some point during our week there. What we didn't enjoy: teriyaki fries, what we did enjoy: everything else.Sure, they're not a typical brick and mortar table service dine-in experience, they're just good food in an open air food truck market place mixed in with 10 or so other food trucks. If you're close enough to walk, bonus! We ate at the tables, we took it to go, we tried other food in the area but kept coming back here for more!Don't skip this place if you're looking for plant based and are in Waikiki!"

"They have certainly expanded since I was in college! I used to go to the one near the university for dried fruit and nuts. They also have salad bar with hot food as well as refrigerated drinks such as kombucha and several aisles of packaged foods, such as tea and cereals. You can count on it being free from crowds and clean."
"I've been looking for authentic Indian food and I as impressed with GovInda's. Got there about 1:30 pm (closes at 2:30), it's buffet style, pay something like $11.99 per pound. The young lady gave us paper plates and cups. It's all vegetarian, very flavorful and fresh. There's a quaint dining area to sit in. The food included a refreshing ginger iced tea that you can help yourself to."
"Nice, friendly workers. Didn't realize it was a vegan place until I looked at the menu. The ambience was super chill and there was AC and a decent sized dining area. The plates were huge! I shared two entrees with a friend, the falafel gyro came with cashew queso and chips and then the nachos with chili and veggies and mock chicken. It was really interesting, if you're a vegan you're gonna love this place! If you've never had vegan food, I think you'll like it but you might not LOVE it. The mock chicken was good, my friend didn't care for the texture, I thought it was delish. I also really like the cashew queso. I thought the falafel gyro was kinda dry and would've been bomb with that cashew queso inside. All in all, I thought this place was great and I'd visit again to try other things from the menu. If you're looking for a healthy, cool (AC) place to sit down for lunch in downtown this is it. I also wanna try their smoothies next time!"

Can I just say they have the best plant based chicken and pulled pork fries??I enjoyed their chicken sandwich so much and can say it hut the spot when I was so hungry after jumping off the plane to be here in beautiful honolulu!Their tacos were not bad but I would say go for their chicken sandwich and pulled pork fries, it was so good!Their gyro was good too! But a little messy and this is something to take into consideration since there is no restrooms or sinksAnd it takes while for them to make your food so be prepared to wait

This is my go to place for medicine, fruits, teas, & baked goods. They have senior Wednesday 65+, which I didn't know but I'm glad I asked cause they don't tell you! Place is clean wish it was bigger tho but it'll do in kapolei. Service good but don't come early if you need help in the medicine department cause no one is there until 2 cause I came in at 10 & no one was there, I asked for help but i got a guy that just didn't know where things were cause I think he works in the produce section. Sadly I left cause we both just couldn't find it, mind you I called the day before asking if they had the item & the lady said they did. Feeling disappointed

I really wanted to like this place more than I did :-/It is off the beaten path, with a quiet & serene ambiance. The shopkeeper is super cute, and the buffet had 10-12 items to pick from, including rice, salad, samosas, dal, spiced potatoes, mixed veggies, and a few rotating special kinds of curry. The downside is the food really did not have flavor. You can tell it was "made with love" (as the sign says at the front of the buffet) but some salt & pepper would have been nice too!

Wow! Rarely can you combine healthy and delicious in the same sentence but this store is amazingly delicious and incredibly healthy! The staff are full Of Aloha and their prices are in line with reality! Not to mention, they're perfectly located for everyone downtown to be here to pick up or eat in the café style restaurant this class enclosed. Hope to see you here someday.!

It was really hard to find all vegan/vegetarian food around Waianea where we were staying for our vacation. We found this place and made a day of it visiting the beach/park down the road. All the tacos are delicious and made with pita bread so they don't fall apart with the delicious filling inside! We each tried a different plate and they were all terrific. I couldn't finish mine, but ate the rest for breakfast! I wish we had been closer, we definitely recommend if you want fresh and healthy meals for your family. Also, I felt the quality of the food was not too pricey. That can be hard to find on the island. Highly recommend you try it out!

Wow! What a warm, welcoming vibe upon entering this beautiful Kaka'ako location. Staff were professional and friendly. Love the plant-based, local ingredients. We ordered the Hawaiian Roll & Kale Salad and the Coconut Curry Bowl. A-MAZING flavors. The staff also included their amazing tahini dressing to add to the Hawaiian Roll - and it really elevated the roll to a whole other level! Mahalo to the team and restaurant. We ordered and sat in the restaurant around 2pm. They close at 3 but never felt rushed, in fact they told us to relax and take our time. great experience; will be back again soon to work our way through the menu. Mahalo Alo Cafe!

I decided to come here after starting my new job nearby. I got the strawberry black iced tea no boba. This drink was delicious and refreshing. So good..I didn't realize they also sold food here as well.. Maybe next time I will have to try it out. Looks good. If i like the food, they get 5 stars. Please be aware you have to pay for parking because there's a paying booth to pay parking. You could validate your parking at the booth in the small shack in the middle. The inside was clean and menus on the wall. Pretty cool. Highly recommend for drinks. The lady gave me a stamp card. Pretty cool. I may try more drinks here next time..

"Sometimes you just want to eat something healthy so your body thanks you later. Leahi Health has a huge selection of options. They have good smoothies and drinks that actually can fill you up like a light meal. Yes, the drinks are little more on the high price but they have all good natural ingredients. Some great meal selections are their salads or tacos with vegan ingredients. Try this place out and give your body some TLC."
"We walked by and knew we had to stop in for breakfast treats once we saw that they had acai bowls.I got a small Lilikoi Bowl and it was tasty. The texture of the lilikoi base is icy and it does get sweet after awhile with all the fruits and toppings. The small bowl was a decent size, but I would't say it would fill you up."
"A Hidden Gem in Honolulu. If you want some of the best vegan food in Honolulu, award worthy tea, kind customer service (Rosa is AMAZING), and a quaint quiet atmosphere come to QQ tea. I love all of the flavors of green tea and the sweet and sour vegan ribs were INCREDIBLE! Go now don't wait!"
"A huge NO from me and my ohana that came here after a Janet Jackson concert especially after we were pretty much ignored the entire night. We tried to give her the benefit of the doubt because it was busy but after seeing others being tended to that arrived after us, it was clear that she was picking and choosing who she wanted to serve.30 minute wait for a beer and other drinks...the hubby literally had to go up and remind her and the bartender basically dismissed him and would say she would have his drinks out soon. Never happened. Meanwhile, locals were getting served up immediately with no issue. Question: why was this female asian bartender who shall remain nameless ONLY attentive to us AFTER she saw that we were with the same group as a local female artist. She was suddenly full of apologies about us never getting our full meal order and not all of our drinks. SMH. Too late for apologies, sweetie! This review is 100% for you and only you.Zero aloha. Never again."
"Bad ass what?! My coworkers and I were stoked to find a new place opened down the street from work. We called to make a takeout order, only to realize it was vegan. I like my meat however vegan burgers got me weary. It must be good considered the name is "bad ass". The menu itself has a catchy vibe because who doesn't have a potty mouth. There's different types of burgers, chicken sandwiches, and plate lunch. Prices range from $10-$20 depending on what you get.We tried the bad ass burger and bad ass fries. The burger was delicious! It was honestly a good burger. I would have never thought it was vegan. The sautéed onions is a good touch. The burger bun was so soft and tasty compared to a traditional sesame bun. I appreciate that it comes with the fixings of lettuce and tomato as well. Crazy to say, this was probably the best burger I had in a while. The fries were crinkled cut and crispy but they were just fries. They do offer specialty fries which I would love to try. Portions are a good serving. They don't skimp! I couldn't finish my burger because it was so filling. Maybe it's healthy? It sure filled my craving for a burger, that's for sure. I would definitely come back. Service was great! You can tell the staff really care about their customers and their food based on the interaction for takeout. The only issue is parking. There's not much options so if you're doing takeout, I would recommend being dropped off otherwise it's only street. Now to try make it through the rest of the work day...."
"The Barefoot Beach Cafe is a popular place to grab a meal or smoothie because the cafe is located on the waterfront just east of Waikiki Beach. I have been a couple times and there is always a small line to order food. Yesterday, I took my granddaughter for a meal and some Dole whip. There is a chain link fence that now is surrounding the dining area as there appears to be some break wall construction going on. As you look pass the fence you have a lovely view of the ocean and Waikiki. The menu offers a nice mix of popular local favorites including Loco Moco, Garlic Shrimp and even a fresh catch of the day. Portions are large and definitely sharable. There is no kid's menu. Prices are reasonable for the portion size. I ordered the fish and chips. The food was out in about 15 minutes. The panko batter seemed a little overcooked (dark and tough) but the white fish was moist and good. The fries are hand cut and we're on the dark side, which I like. The plate was artful. My granddaughter's Dole Whip took about 30 minutes to come out, I guess they were just getting the machine going. She was a little antsy. She loved her little cup of creamy frozen pineapple. Breakfast plates looked delicious. There is patio seating, some covered. The staff is friendly, although if you have a problem, it is hard to get anyone's attention. Tables are kept clean. Even though my meal wasn't perfect, I still recommend."
