"Best Thai food on the island!I visited Oahu from Los Angeles and have got to say Siam Garden was some of the best Thai food I've ever had. I had the Pad Thai with chicken and it was absolutely delicious. I also sampled some of my partners soup which was incredibly flavorful and packed a punch! You can taste all the spices! The interior was traditionally decorated with the ambiance of a true Thailand experience. It's located in a strip mall so parking was not difficult, even on a holiday weekend. With that being said, service was a little slow in the beginning, but once our order was placed that was quickly amended. The food was authentic and flavorful and I will definitely return once I'm back in Oahu."
"This restaurant is a local Thai restaurant. I came in for some to go food a couple weeks ago. And then my visitor came in for some soup. And my husband wanted to try the restaurant on date night last week. Are used to go to my favorite restaurant in Pearl city, so I was kind of skeptical, but the food is really good."

"Fort Street Cafe is such a gem. Recently worked with Vince on a catering order for a party and everything was delivered on time and tasted great. we ordered the garlic chicken, spring rolls, summer rolls (shrimp and tofu). Highly recommend for catering and such a great value for the cost!"
"After a beach day in Ewa, this is a nice place to stop on your way home. The table favorites is the Thai fried chicken appetizer. The sweet chili sauce to dip in hit the spot. The pineapple fried rice with beef was flavorful and had plenty of meat. Panang curry with chicken was ok; don't forget to order rice. Staff were helpful and food came out quick. Plus, parking right in front."
"09/10/24Lunch with a friend... ginger chicken with sticky rice and spring rolls were perfect! Tasty and healthy. Free parking and good service."
"At the suggestion of Elite Gail U, Thai Bistro Suksabay became the establishment of choice for our girl's lunch.Preface by saying I rarely head west past the HNL Airport. Moreover, the RAIL construction makes it difficult to get around on the surface street. But I'll go anywhere to have a great lunch with my girlfriends.I'm certainly glad we dined here. The food was great. The service was even greater and parking is not a problem at this Pearl Kai Marketplace where Thai Bistro is located. The do close at 2 pm so if you're planning lunch, please plan to go there early,.I do recommend the stuffed chicken wings. (I try this dish at any Thai restaurant who serves this....) Thai Bistro's stuffed wings make the top 3 in in book!"
"Why the hate with the reviews? The average rating is about right. The service is the biggest strength of the restaurant.. got good recommendations, very friendly and prompt.Food is pretty good with a few quirks. Pad Thai is good but a little too much gravy, not used to not having very little veggies and bean sprouts.Tom ga soup a tad too sour. Otherwise right amount of flavors.Chicken satay is the favorite. Nice and crispy and moist chicken. The peanut sauce hits the spot.Recommended"
"Their curries are the most tasty and rich!! By far one of the best on island!! We've tried the panang and green. They're filled with ingredients so it's not just gravy on rice. I always have gotten take out so not sure about the service but it's always ready when I go to pick it up and the phone ordering is a breeze. Have tried the other dishes besides curries which were good but consistent with other Thai restaurants. Their curries are the product that stands out here!! Please never start thinning them out like other places have over the years."
"It was Halloween and it was so busy everywhere....and I was hungry. I remembered Salt Lake Shopping Center had some restaurants there and it was on my home to my aunt's place. I was looking around and found this place. The owner was really nice and I ordered a green curry chicken. When it first came out to be honest it didn't look that great but it was pretty tasty. It's nothing fancy, more like homestyle cooking. Just good clean flavors It's a pretty small place, maybe 6-8 tables. There is lots of parking in the parking lot. I enjoyed my curry and I'm sure I'll be back on my next trip......"
"Hanging out in the area, we decided to stop into Maile's Thai Bistro for lunch. We were warmly greeted and seated by the bartender/hostess Jaymie. Good Thai food is hard to find here on Oahu and I'm happy to say that Maile's Bistro has some of the best Thai food on the island. We ordered and enjoyed -Chicken pad Thai Spring rolls (crispy) Thai salad Mild yellow curry Sticky rice We could not get enough of these dishes! All of the dishes were flavorful, savory and made with fresh ingredients. Beautiful views, great service and delicious food, I'm a fan! I look forward to dining here again in the future."
"This is my first time at this restaurant, sorry I didn't take pictures I was so hungry, I ordered the shrimp the green curry, it wasn't overly spicy, and or overly garlicky. It was just perfect. And then he comes with sticky rice and I think they put a little bit of coconut milk in it. Which made it really scrumptious. And then I tried something new the eggplant Summer roll, it was so good. And a unique spin on the regular summer roll. It came with a dipping sauce, I don't know what was in it, but it was tangy and tasty and a little different than the normal sauces that come with us Summer Roll. My friend ordered the stuffed chicken,. And everybody Else ordered a different version of the green curry. I will be coming back to eat here, when I am on that side of the island."
"I love Thai Village! Their Waipio location looks small in the front but they have more tables and seats in the back. This time, we wanted to be adventurous and try new things. We ordered the fish fillet, curry pad thai, eggplant stirfry, and banana rice cake. The fish fillet is deep fried but the fish and batter is so light! It comes with a spicy garlic sauce to dip the fish in... that sauce is so good! I would buy a bottle of it! The curry pad thai is very unique and flavorful! It's like a step up from the regular pad thai. The eggplant stirfry is also good. I wanted to try the ong choy stirfry but they didn't have ong choy that day so I went with the eggplant which is something I've already tried from them. I wanted to try their desserts. Our server recommended the banana rice cake and tapioca. I've already tried tapioca so I went with the banana rice cake. It was interesting... it wasn't terrible but I don't think I'd get it again."

I used to frequent this place in college. One of the more affordable places with quality food to eat on mall. GARLIC CHICKEN IS A MUST! Recently came back on vacation and was staying in town so I took a trip back because I remembered how flavorful the garlic chicken is. The area is not the greatest since it's crawling with homeless, but don't let that deter you from trying their garlic chicken breakfast combo. It's cheaper than a breakfast platter at McDs. It's the best on Oahu!!! So good, even my daughter agrees, and she's picky!

Spontaneously went on a Saturday around 2PM and it was completely empty. With the waterfall ambiance from the TV being the only noise, it felt almost eerie and like we were disturbing the peace by even speaking to each other. We started off with the ono app combo (2 spring rolls, 2 fish patties, and 2 chicken satay sticks), which was a perfect sampler for two people and came with sauces for each of the apps. We also always order green curry with sticky rice and shrimp pad thai whenever we go to a Thai restaurant and luckily the green curry was amazing. It honestly carried the whole meal. Perfect consistency and amounts of vegetables and tofu. The pad thai almost tasted BBQ-y and had maybe 5 pieces of shrimp. I also wish there were additional spices or hot sauces offered to kick up the heat a bit more. Overall, not bad but not life-changing.

Bangkok Chef is my quick go-to whenever I want Thai takeout. They always pick up the phone quickly and consistently quote 15 minutes as the wait time. My go-to order here is their panang curry. I like to sub chicken for the pork (just a personal preference) and get the curry ala carte. Ala carte is more expensive but you get a lot more curry. Easy to cook rice myself and eat with the curry.Other things I enjoy from here are their fried chicken wings, spring rolls, and Chef's Combo (lemongrass grilled chicken with two spring rolls over vermicelli).

Expanding mom's palate...After a personal appointment I already knew I needed to take her for an early dinner but didn't want it to be the usual places just to keep things fun. Trying to keep small and local it was a challenge as she wanted to sit and relax versus doing a take out and though here at Thai Issan Cuisine.Located in the Market City Shopping Center right beside Foodland on the upper level, parking can be the biggest challenge though since we came early we did manage to find one easily and you know I was thrilled so that she doesn't flake out on me. Walking in this cozy restaurant we got the pick as it was empty so we sat right along the window as we enjoyed the lovely decor. There was so much that I was excited to order though we did keep it simple as I got the Vegetarian "Rad Nar" and decided to order for her the "Yellow Curry" and she wanted pork. It's funny as she says there's no prices on the menu explained that it's all the same in the category all you need to decide is on your proteins which is a nice and interesting concept to order.Thinking she may want to share I didn't get anything spicy my dish was filled with veggies atop chow fun noodles loaded with the house gravy which was very difficult to describe as it's so flavorful yet mellow with a hint of sour, sadly I though there was hardly any noodle in fact I though there wasn't any in there that I got concerned, veggies was cooked lightly and had a serious bite to it which I didn't mind but that house gravy was the winner and held it all perfectly.Mom's curry was stunning filled with pork and veggies she thoroughly enjoyed it along with a basket of sticky rice that I had to have her try, her curiosity to finally try the gravy from my dish got to her and she loved it and wished she could have a bowl of it herself lol! We both enjoyed it all and I'm so happy to have her try something different.Thank you!

I was craving Thai food and found this spot on Yelp. We've always drove by and never stopped. The place is a little dingy looking on the inside but the food is amazing here. A bit pricey in my opinion but all the dishes we ordered were delicious, amazing flavors. I wish the server would have asked us how hot we wanted our dishes because everything came out very mild. We had to add our own chili oil to our dishes.Hubby really loved the basil pork fried rice here ($17.95)! We had the following items: Chicken larb ($16.95) - very tangy and great lemony flavor. It has an addicting flavor for sure. The spring rolls ($13.95)- I loved the wrapper as it was a bit thicker than usual and tasted great with lettuce and vermicelli. The green papaya salad was so delicious, I couldn't stop eating it. Pad Ki Mao ($16.95) a little bit of oiliness for my taste but still amazing flavors. This spot may be our go to Thai spot.

"KUNIA Thai Village is always a hit! Definitely better flavors, in my opinion, compared to the other Thai Villages. I have yet to dine in, but I can easily imagine the food being better than what I bring home as take out. Tonight's dinner was outstandingly delish, as always. Reasons for the 5 stars:- The food is CONSISTENTLY prepared well- Workers are always friendly - The restaurant is clean and tidy - I've never had an incorrect order, EVER (20/20)- The level of care put into packing take out orders!Ex: They manually cut the top of your container to allow the crispy items to vent so the hot steam doesn't sog up the goods. They also add the extra support of cardboard at the bottom of your bag when ordering hot soup or curry. Love the thoughtful touch that some restaurants don't care to spend time on. As for the food - every item I've tried over the past years have been delicious. I greatly appreciate the "light approach" they take to using fish sauce too. Some other eateries are more heavy-handed, which is a little too hardcore for me. Lol Oh ya!.. and Pre-Covid vs Post-Covid: Quality and flavors remain! Thanks, Thai Village crew! You guys are amazing :)"
"Been stopping by more often satisfying our Thai food cravings. The Chili Basil, Laad Nar, and Garlic Pepper are our favorites. You choose any of the meats , tofu, shrimp, calamari and seafood as part of the meal. Prices vary for each choice but it's very reasonable. They are very generous with the portions and jasmine rice is included. Oh, the chicken wings here is on-point, BTW. Customer service has been top-notch. Recently, I just took a few steps inside and one of the ladies already said hi. Another time, I wasn't sure if I could carry the orders out since I had two bags full of other take-out foods from other places and stuff. I told the gal Nin, at the counter that - and she said matter-of-factly, "Yes you can." When my order was ready, she packed the meals including a tall container of gravy securely in a large and strong reusable bag. That was such a thoughtful customer-care gesture. I felt relieved and was able to tote everything securely as I began my walk back home. I usually don't expect to buy as much as I do when taking a stroll to Waimalu Shopping Center. Even today, when I bought the Garlic Pepper dish with pork, another gal at the counter wrapped the tapioca pudding in a little bag, that I decided to buy at the last minute. This Thai restaurant has been there in Waimalu for a good number of years, maybe over ten years, with the same cook. When I return to buy gift certificates, I'll end up buying another dish or two."
"Ok so tried this place for the first time. Delicious! BUT they tricked me! lol some of the dishes was posted on the screen but they don't serve them anymore. We were looking forward to trying the crispy rice dish and they didn't have it! It really bummed our trip. It was a good atmosphere. Not too busy and service was alright. Menu is a little limited tho but pretty good!"
"Our second time here while visiting Hawaii. Amazing food and excellent service! Authentic Thai food, the larb was delicious and the curries as well!"
"Let's start this review by noting that food in Honolulu is the most expensive I've ever seen including NYC, Paris, LA etc... etc....We stumbled on King of Thai Boat Noodles walking around when we were looking for somewhere reasonable to eat (not $60/Entree). Myself, wife and 12 year old twins were so happy we did! The food seemed a little more Malaysian than Thai to me (a huge positive it's tough to find Malaysian food) and reminded me of some of my favorite places in Flushing Queens NY growing up (currently I live in Southern California). It was one of the better meals I've had in a very long time. We started with Roti that absolutely great. It had that proper chewy texture Roti should have. I would have preferred a curry dipping sauce vs. the peanut sauce but the peanut sauce was good. We also got the Tom Kha which was phenomenal, the perfect mix of sweet/sour/spicy. For dinner we had the Pad See Ew noodles. This is where the service shined. My kids are annoying and hate vegetables so they made them with just noodles, meat and sauce. They were OUTSTANDING. Some of the better flat rice noodle's I've had, Pad See Ew, Chow Fun or otherwise. My wife got the Panang Curry and I had the Duck Curry. Both we outstanding with rich flavors and the proper amount of spice. Our whole meal was under $100, a miracle in downtown Honolulu. The ambiance isn't important to us at all, so that's not part of the review. The food, service and price were all outstanding. I can't recommend this place enough if you are looking for some great Thai/Malaysian food, reasonable priced where you can actually get a table.PS: We went back a second time and it was just as good!"
"I still love coming here for Thai food. Food is good and consistent. I typically get the pad si ewe or the udon middle soup which comes with a drink a three spring rolls. Food is delicious and worth it here. The service was pretty good here and the servers are nice. It's clean inside and has a when it's hot outside. They have so much on their menu. Highly recommend the calamari too. So good as an appetizer. Everything is good here. Check them out. You will thank me."
"Five stars. Highly recommend.Business is Mauka of Manoa Marketplace and before the Manoa suburbs. Great location with plenty parking and it's not crowded, but has a steady stream of customers with good turnover.Seating is not available inside due to the pandemic conditions, so it's take out mainly.I always get the Pad Thai and Red Curry. Good stuff. The prices are very reasonable and the food is very ono. Always a great deal. All in all, if you want great Thai food, come to Bangkok Chef for a great treat!"
"Thai food can be spicy and my tolerance level is on the lower medium level. I want to enjoy what I am eating without sweating ( it rains down perspiration when it's really spicy ) and swearing.First visit to the N. Nimitz Hwy locale, situated on the ewa end of La Tour Plaza.I requested takeaway on my initial visit and got the Yellow Curry with tofu...you have a choice of tofu, vegetables, chicken, etc. I asked for a mild spice level and I was thankful that I was cautious, as it was hot enough to enjoy and not pour down the perspiration. On this second occasion, I picked up the Papaya Salad. This was a bit spicy...I was not asked about the spice level, so I think there isn't a customizable level for salads. It was ok...I think I've only had a couple of green papaya salads and can't say I am big fan, just to throw that out as a caveat.Wait time was very good on both occasions.Dining area is spacious with a high ceiling. Bench for customers waiting to pick up their takeout orders at the left.Parking...it's La Tour Plaza...but there are a few dedicated stalls for Bangkok Chef in front of their entrance."
"Came during lunch and wasn't too busy. Got seated right away.Curry, pad thai & Lao sausage with jasmine rice.It was so good! The pad thai was nicely flavored. Not dry at all. The Lao sausage was so yummy. It compliments the curry so much. So good. The customer service here is great! They really check on you and make sure you are helped.I'd definitely come back here for Thai food."
"I've been on a pho binge lately. This restaurant has a more modern decor and I love the vibe. Unfortunately, we got here 45 minutes before closing and they were out of many dishes. They didn't have vermicelli and crab noodle soup, which I was planning to get. The server told me to come earlier as they sold out.I like this place as they sell both Vietnamese and Thai food. We ordered two oxtail phos $21 each, panang chicken curry which came with sticky rice $16 and spring rolls $12. The food was excellent. The pho broth was perfectly seasoned and came with five huge pieces of oxtail. They have all these different condiments on the table that you can help yourself to. My usual mix is hoisin sauce mixed with the house spicy/garlic sauce. I'll also put a little fish sauce in the pho to kick up the flavor. I also loved the spring rolls. I like how it came with all the different sides to wrap with the rolls. They were stingy with the lettuce as it came with only one piece. I had to tear the lettuce into six pieces. I didn't try the curry, but the hubby gave it two thumbs up.If you're in the downtown area and craving Vietnamese/ Thai food give this place a try."
"Authentic Thai with awesome flavor... Crispy rice dish Nam khao and green curry were yummy!"
"I was initially skeptical because of the mixed reviews: some said Pattaya was delicious with lots of flavors, and others said that it was bland. I didn't know who to trust so I took the chance to decide for myself. I'm so glad I did because Pattaya Thai is now one of my favorite late-night spots and Thai establishments on the island.Pattaya Thai can be a bit unconventional compared to the other Thai places I've eaten so far, but in a good way! Walking in, it almost felt like I was at a Thai lounge, which was pretty cool. Here's everything I ate:Crispy Rice Salad: Absolutely delicious. Get this spicy--it will be so flavorful, but careful, it will make your mouth burn! The rice was a bit of a hard crunch and I didn't really care for the larger pieces. But the flavor made up for it. I also love the pickled onions and mint! Drunken Noodles: The perfect accompaniment to the spicy crispy rice salad. I'm not sure if there was peanut butter, but it felt like there was with how nutty and smooth it was. It's not as savory as other Thai places, but I actually really appreciated the bit of sweetness these drunken noodles had. I wish there was more of that "wok hei" char though, but I'm just being picky at this point. The main thing is that the noodles were not too soft at all and perfectly bouncy.Dessert Roti: My FAVORITE item of the night! The roti is fried so crispy and covered in condensed milk. The icecream on top was also good. I cannot recommend this item enough. Side note: There are 4 different levels of spice from mild to Thai spice. The service was impeccable. Our waitress was attentive and would come by to fill our water cups. We also ordered the dessert roti in advance and asked that she put it in later, which she did and even notified us when she was going to (because the kitchen was about to get busy otherwise)Overall, I loved eating at Pattaya and will definitely be back here!"
"I've been here a couple of times...the Moiliili location. i think that I've been to the Nuuanu and Manoa locales at least once.Food is good. Thai can be spicy but it isn't overwhelming. I had the Lemongrass Chicken special. Sauce wasn't too fishy and vermicelli was not too dry. Chicken was ok. Portion size was a bit wanting but not skimpy. Had a curry dish previously...though don't recall too much other than it was a good meal.Parking available to strip mall patrons that include Rabbit Rabbit Tea, Glazers Coffee, and a US Post Office branch."
"Man, this truck makes some GREAT food!Have been wanting to try it for a bit and it didn't disappoint. Got some green veggie curry and the woman working was super sweet to give me a bag with handles and package it all up so I could ride my bike into the night without a backpack full o curry. When I got home, I found a container full of curry packed with mad veggies. The brown rice was super fluffy and some of the best rice I have ever had.In combination, the tastiest meal ever was had and I am pumped to try more things on the menu."
"This is hands down my favorite Thai place on Oahu ... why oh why can't they open during the evenings and weekends... crying over here !!! Nothing good is easy so I try to make it there during their hours of M-F 10-1pm ... it's worth it !!!Good service, comfortable restaurant, lots of side sauces and they do each one of my favorite dishes to perfection!!Green papaya salad, spring rolls, fried calamari. Beef waterfall salad, tofu panang, seafood green curry, beef pad thai, drunken noodles ... you get the idea. !!! If you can get there during their hours I highly recommend it !!!It's that good"
"Ambiance - don't expect too much because it's really a hole in wall kind of spot and I LOVE it. Feels like i'm dining in someone's house. It's on the corner of the street and if you get lucky, there's parking in front. If not, there's plenty of street parking or in Don Quijote.Food - soooo tasty and flavorful. Beware, Laotian spice level is REALLY SPICY. I like some heat but I can only take on mild. But my friends that loves spicy food says that their spice is something you can enjoy and eat a lot of.We got the eggplant stir fry in mild and pad thai in medium spice (I couldn't handle this medium but my boyfriend LOVED it)Service - we didn't dine in this time but cashier was super nice!"
"We were en route to enjoying a late afternoon walk as we passed by Phuket Thai Café when my husband suggested eating before going for a walk. It was around 4:30 PM, and I quickly checked Yelp for Phuket Thai Café's business hours and luckily found they were open, unlike many restaurants with split shifts between lunch and dinner service. We walked into the clean, empty, and sparsely decorated restaurant, and a smiling female worker cheerfully greeted us in the Thai language, "Sawasdee kha," and motioned to sit anywhere. She quickly brought us menus, eating utensils, and glasses of iced water while asking if we wanted any other beverages to drink. Since this was the first time we've been into this less-than-year-old restaurant location but have enjoyed their food at their former location on Queen Street, it didn't take us very long to select our menu items. We ordered only three menu items while keeping in mind that we were going to take a walk afterward. Our server transcribed and repeated our order before taking the order sheet into the kitchen. FOOD:- Thai Fish Patties or Tod Mun Pla: these spongy and springy disks of puréed fish are packed with traditional Thai flavors such as Thai red curry paste, fish sauce, fresh lemon grass, kaffir lime leaves, chilies, and coriander leaves. This appetizer was served with a sweet chili dipping sauce. We enjoyed the textures, presentation, and traditional flavors we tasted while traveling in Thailand. Also, the fish patties are commonly found at Thai street food vendors and restaurants. Still, we only ate them at restaurants because our American digestive systems weren't accustomed to street vendors, so that we couldn't compare the flavors between street food vendors and restaurants. $14.50- Green Curry or Kaeng Khiao Wan with Shrimp: we selected the Thai green curry, which, by its nature, is the spiciest when compared with red, yellow, massaman, or paneng. Thanks to the addition of coconut milk, the tangy green curry is also sweet and not fiery. The vegetables (eggplant, fresh basil, lemongrass, and lime leaves), shrimp, green curry, and coconut milk were like a symphony of sweet, sour, spicy, and salty. $16.95- Drunken Noodles or Pad Kee Mao with Pork: what can I say? I love Asian broad flat rice noodle dishes, and Pad Kee Mao is similar to Cantonese dry-fried Shahe noodles or chow fun. However, pad kee mao differs in its spice-level and its use of basil, chopped peanuts and garlic. Huge kudos to the chef at Phuket Thai Café who has control of the wok-frying heat as the broad rice noodles were lightly charred but remained soft and unbroken. $14.95- Rice: we asked for two bowls of rice to accompany the green curry however, our friendly server suggested to order just one bowl since their portion size is generous and easily shareable for two people. We were pleasantly surprised by the amount as we're used to seeing rice served in 4-1/2" bowls but not here! $3.00Although we were the only customers dining in at the time, the server fielded and processed several phone-in takeout orders before another server arrived at 5 PM. More customers came in at 5 PM but we had the restaurant to ourselves for about a half hour while enjoying a short conversation with our server and her friendliness and efficency. We left the restaurants with satiated appetites and smiles on our faces. After all, Thailand is called the "Land of Smiles.""
"Love this place! The owner is very friendly and helpful. The food is delicious and there are alot of different choices for any appetite. Mini plates are big enough to fill you up. The regular plate, I end up taking most of it home. They have a great grab and go selection to choose from and everything is fresh!"
"Covid has disrupted the restaurant industry, but it hasn't stopped them from cooking to provide great food to the community through delivery and takeout! Eventually, we will get back to some new normal where there is no fear in dining. This was delivery 3 from uber eats from the hubs. He knows that Thai food is my number one favorite. It's probably because I mention it a lot lol. I didn't know what to expect since our tastes in food differ. I was excited to see that I was having it for dinner:) I eagerly ripped the plastic bag and dove right in. I wonder what he ordered for me? There was panang chicken curry, Tom yum seafood soup, fried chicken, and sticky rice. These are all food options that I wouldn't normally order. I have the fear of trying something different in Thai food lol. I usually stay with chicken Tom yum, yellow curry, pad see ew, and chicken basil. Those are my go to at most Thai eateries. The verdict is........the panang has been added to a must order! I believe they used peanut butter in the curry, and the hubs requested it to be very spicy for me:) It was thick, sweet and salty, nutty flavor, with tender chicken. I love how coconut milk makes the panang creamy and luscious. I added it onto my sticky rice. I highly recommend this one!!The Tom yum seafood soup was ok. I felt the fish was soft and meaty. The calamari fell out of place by being hard and rubbery. There was about 3 shrimps in the soup, and it was filled with mushroom, lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, galangal, and the fish sauce was a little overwhelming. I felt I was doing a lot more digging, and removing than eating for this soup. The fried chicken was fine. The batter used for deep frying seemed basic. My first couple of bites was tough. I ended up dipping it in the sweet and sour sauce. Overall, it was a great dinner choice for delivery!!! Thank you hubby!!! I will definitely be ordering the panang again! Step out of your comfort zone and try new things! If you don't like it at least you know you tried! Support local:)"

"So I've been to Thai Issan I several times and was excited for Thai Issan II as it's closer to home. The food at Thai Issan I is good and pretty authentic in my opinion. I'm also in agreement that the most worth it deal is the lunch special. Therefore, I figured I'd order the same from Thai Issan II. What could be different?Well... there was a difference. The quantity is the same, but not the quality. The panang curry was pretty watery and my favorite fried chicken was feathered! It wasn't just one or two feathers here and there, but a lot, all poking out like hair on a balding person's head! Yuck!! Note: the pic attached doesn't show the feathers as it was taken from a distance, but believe me, they were there!I must say even though I lost my appetite and couldn't eat the chicken, I enjoyed the salad which had red onions, cucumbers and carrots. The panang curry wasn't bad, but wasn't creamy. Although the service was nice, I'll probably continue to pick up from Thai Issan I in the Market City."
"Ordered via Uber Eats: Spring rolls, thai sausage, spicy basil chicken and pad thai with tofu and chicken. All generous portions, nicely plated and delicious! Will order from here again...oh, very reasonably priced too!"
"Went to try this new Thai Restaurant in Wahiawa called 'Malai Thai Kitchen'. They are located in the shopping center where O'Reilly's Auto Parts is located (so if looking at the shopping complex from California Avenue, they are on the extreme left side of the complex). We went there just about 11 am today (Tuesday) and appeared that we were the only ones that were going to eat inside the restaurant. A little confusing as there was no one to greet us as we entered the restaurant. There were a few construction workers who looked like they were on their lunch break and had ordered their take outs and were awaiting them. We decided to approach the staff that were located at the counter at the rear. She then asked us if we were ordering take out or dine in, we told her dine in. She went on to say we could sit anywhere so we chose the table located adjoining the front window (just to the right as one enters). Tip for them: they need to place a sign just inside the entrance that say 'please wait to be seated' or 'please sit at any vacant table' or 'proceed to the counter for assistance'. Once seated she gave us the menus from some other tables (not all of the tables had the one piece laminated menu), only a few but they should place at least one (1) menu on each table so it looks consistent. I asked what were the levels of heat spices. She said they were three (3) heat levels: medium, hot and very hot. She specifically said some places have five (5) but they just had three (3) levels. Looking around, I saw seating inside totaled 24 seats with the eight tables. We waited for about15-20 minutes before our entrees started arriving to our table. Our waitress said the kitchen gave it to us all 'medium' (though we had ordered two of the entrees as 'very hot' but was glad when she mentioned that she will provide spice powder on the side if we wanted to make it as 'hot as we wanted'. I asked when the restaurant opened and she said last Friday, March 1st!We ordered Panang Curry with Chicken, Pad Thai with Beef and Holy Basil Stir Fried with Ground Pork. I ordered sticky rice while my friend ordered a side of jasmine rice. Subtotal (before taxes and tip) came out to $51.98. See my pics for taste results! I just think the main plate used to put our entrees on are on the 'small side' and should be replaced with 'dinner/larger sized' plates instead of appetizer sized plate as I had to keep pushing my food away from the edges as they would spill over onto the table. Pricing was slightly less than the Thai restaurant we normally go to at Waipio Shopping Center on their entrees though the prices for jasmine and sticky rice I felt was high. Air conditioning was being worked on so the door was being kept open allowing a few flies inside so we had to swat the flies away with our hands. Felt like the a/c was almost completely fixed and would stay colder if the door was closed shut, BUT the maintenance man then removed his tall ladder and left and I did not see him leave any instructions to the staff. He never returned while we were dining (just a little over an hour long) --- all the while the front door was open allowing the flies inside. We both felt that they will only improve in their brick and mortar place (as they still have their lunch wagon in Haleiwa according to comments on a FB local foods forum). Service needs to be improved as it seemed we were forgotten after our foods were delivered and we were the only ones dining in until two older women retirees also chose to eat inside the establishment. She finally came when she gave us the check and we asked for two small containers (yay, no fees for them!) It was at this time that I asked why the panang curry was not prominent in its peanut buttery taste. was it due to different regions of Thailand having different interpretations of how much to add? But guess due to being lost in translation and answering my question, she said we could (during the next time) tell the waitress to add more of the 'peanut (buttery) taste', But I was thinking to myself---shouldn't that be done without we as customers asking for it? Shouldn't they do THEIR recipes ? I understand that at the present they are just starting out in their brick-and-mortar business, so I would rate them at 3.75 stars. Rounded out, it is up to 4 stars. So yes, we would return again ! And we should in a few months or sooner, to see if their service had improved (and if they replaced the small appetizer plate with a larger plater so that their customers' foods won't spill over its sides). Oh, they should decorate just a little more with Thai decor as again, besides that statue that was facing towards the front window next to us, the interior looked a little barren. One final tip: if you pay by cash, you will save yourself what appears to be no credit/debit processing fee of 4%. Did not see the two different prices until at home. Perhaps it would be nice if both prices were highlighted in yellow?"
