"Shopping at Pearlridge Mall on Oahu...I never thought that I would shop at Lids. I hardly ever come to Pearlridge, but I had lunch at this mall, so it was convenient at the time.My friend, Roz, encouraged me to go to the LA Rams game on 8-17-19 because it's the first NFL game at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu. I decided to get a cap to support the team...We walked into the well stocked, organized shop and found LA Rams caps right away. Lids was having a Buy One, Get One 50 percent off sale. To take advantage of this deal, I also got an LA Dodgers cap! Haha! I also saw a cute sloth plushie which reminded me of my pal... haha... especially since the sloth was wearing a GSW jersey! Yay!Service was pleasant and efficient. I was asked if I wanted to join the Rewards program. Since it was free, I said, "Why not?!?" Guess I'll be back if I need more team gear... like a t-shirt!?!Yes... this store is actually a Lids Locker Room. It's bigger than Lids because it needs more space for the t-shirts and other attire. Lids is a couple stores down. It only has caps. No clothing is for sale there."

"I know nothing about Lululemon and it was my first time in the store. I belong to a handbag community online and people were saying how much they love their Lululemon belt bags. I'm participating in the Charity Walk with a few friends in May and decided to get one of their popular belt bags. The workers were really helpful. At least three associates approached me and asked if I needed help. They showed me the belt bags that they were using and made suggestions. I know that they're known for their workout gear. I see females rocking them all over the place. Maybe I'll look into it the next time I'm in the store."

"Shopping at Ala Moana Center in Honolulu, Hawaii...I had heard that Sera's Surf N' Shore was going to close soon. As I passed by (on my way to Marshalls), I saw the sidewalk sign that stated that the last day would be 2-27-25, Thursday. Located on the ground level of the mall, on the Mauka (mountain) side, between Lupecia and Jeans Warehouse, "Sera's" is a cozy shop that has been around for a long time. It's sad that they're closing.If you want a local t-shirt, shorts, sunglasses, Aloha shirt, YETI, footwear, etc., take a look! Some items are discounted by 30 percent!"

"This sports shop is located in Ka Makana Ali'i on the side where Macy's is located.They carry many different sports items from hats, falls, chairs, cups, tents, baby bibs and pacifiers, and many many more. The prices are okay and not so bad. We bought 2 flags at $39.99 each and two hats at $35.99 each. The employees were friendly. If you are looking for sports items, this could be your shop. It's worth checking out."

"Large, spacious store filled with all things for the beach! Swimsuits. Cover ups. Towels. Wetsuits. Snorklegear. Goggles and fins. Paddle boards. Boogie boards. Skateboards. Yep, it's all here! And plenty of room to walk around without feeling claustrophobic as is the case in some of the stores with a smaller footprint. Plus some really nice casual clothing. For women there are maxi dresses, shirts, tshirts, sweatshirts. I particularly liked the new towel ponchos that they carry, as do most other shops these days. Super convenient when walking to and from the beach. Also lots of beach bags, backpacks and totes. Walls full of Havaianas and Teva water shoes. They are well stocked!Even though they have lots of items, they didn't have a mesh bag I needed for my swim gear. The owner directed me to Suf N Sea where I found just what I needed. Great store! Will be back."

"This little warehouse is a hidden gem! They do the usual screening of shirts or other items BUT they also do some beautiful embroidery work.Daughter #2 plays soccer for a club and every other year, or so, orders a new set of uniforms and accessories. Took in the new backpack and a baseball cap. Needed the name embroidered on the backpack (in script) and her player # on the back of the cap.I forgot what the prices were the previous years but it both cost less than $5! Can't go wrong with the awesome job and price.Recommend them for all personalization needs."

"I always have had good experiences at Local Motion in Ala Moana and Hawaii Kai. They are so welcoming and helpful. So it was pretty shocking to see how the customer service differ at this location in Waikele. There were two staffs, one male ans female, they don't even greet you or offer assistance at all. That was not something I am used to at other Local Motion and I think it is such a shame. Their pricing is definitely cheaper and if you do not mind some digging thru their inventory, it is worth saving the money. Due to corona virus, they closed their fitting rooms....okay I understand. But they also have no return/exchange policy claiming due to covid. It does not really make sense to me, because you can touch their products as much as you want in store and the virus lives only up to one day on fabrics. So they can just put aside return items for a day. How the heck could you buy clothes with confidence if you cannot try them on or return/exchange? I feel like covid is their excuse just not to accept any return."

His store has just became my default go to place for all my sporting goods needs. I will be bringing over my spear gun to get fixed next week. Louis has everything, from fishing to archery equipment. Located in downtown Waialua, right in the heart of North Shore, this place is very convenient to stop by on the wat to spear fishing on the North Shore. And take time to listen to some of his stories. I will definitely be back."

"This cute little place reminded me of that shop in Frontierland...Tucked in a cavelike setting with nostalgia decor this shop is very tiny but carries many necessities like snacks, pool and outdoor gears, what I do love that they have here is their coolest variety of leather bracelet with specific or all the Disney character even Aulani tropical touches and it can be personalized all right there.The staff here is just a delight, friendly and helpful with any questions or just a fun chat, feeling like I'm at the park with all the super cute merchandise really got me picking up stuff but did hold back.Just about everything here does have that Disney flair and who doesn't love that!!Thank you!"

In the past, I've purchased several bicycles from McCully Bike when I used to ride a bicycle to school in my freshman & sophomore years in college, as well as when I used to do those Century Ride bike rides in the summer. I bought basketballs/baseball/softball gear when I played organized team sports.Good ol' McCully Bike was also my source for tennis racquets, and I also use to bring my racquets here to have them strung up.When I needed athletic shoes, McCully Bicycle & Sporting Goods was my "goto place" I'd look for DEALAGES, as they used to carry an array of athletic shoes. I remembered a time when the first Nike Air Jordan's came out and I bought two pairs of those shoes at a discounted close out sale price and how I wished I still had those shoes now, as it would be worth a fortune!!!I have to admit, in recent years I haven't been coming to McCully Bicycle & Sporting Goods as often, probably due to the internet where I can purchase things online & have it delivered directly to my house, as well as age, as I no longer ride bicycles, get on a tennis court, or play organized sports.A few things have changed since I last came to McCully Bicycle & Sporting Goods, as I noticed they no longer carry tennis racquets or string racquets anymore, nor did I see that large sunglasses display that they used to have here. As for the bicycles, you don't have to worry about that as they still carry an array of bicycles here.Into fishing??? McCully Bike should be your source in getting fishing/diving gear!Why did I come here???After reading an article from the Star Advertiser newspaper about this locally owned business, they talked about how this business got started back in Waipahu in 1923, and how the generations of decendants from the Takayesu ohana who pitched in to help run the business to keep the legacy of Giyei Takayesu alive,After reading that newspaper article, I was compelled to come back here to buy a McCully Bicycle & Sporting Goods 100th anniversary t-shirt. :DMission accomplished! "This store has some cute gear for the ladies as well as for the men. I went in this store quite a few times during our stay at Turtle Bay. I bought a couple of shirts for my brother, son and hats for my nephews. Service was great here! They were super friendly to my kids and answered any questions I had. Also, if you're a guest at the hotel they allow you to borrow a go pro for 24 hours. All you need is a memory card. Love this store!"

"Being at Soccer Locker the other week brought me back to when I was a kid. It was our place to go to buy our soccer stuff. It's in a different location from when I used to go. It's now located next to the Running Room. They have everything soccer in there. The owner says they will be opening up a different place down the road that's bigger and will have equipment from all different sports soon.My daughter is starting on first "official" soccer team so she needed to buy some cleats, socks, and shin guards. The owner was super helpful from the moment we walked in. He knew exactly what we needed. They had the cleats in my daughters favorite color, pink! Then they got us some shin guards and some pink socks. She tried them on and they were perfect. She loved the socks so much she wore it all the way home. Great customer service here and I love the more personalized service. Beats those big box stores any day. I look forward to checking out their new store when it opens."
