"What an awesome store filled with local item all made, grown thought up and found here in Hawai'i.Many are simply unique to the islands, organic macadamia nuts, chocolates and clothing all is here in one store each with a story behind each product you know is something special all supporting local entrepreneurs and small businesses here in the islands. Some I've recognize many are new to me as I browse around it's so beautifully organized and I loved it's all found here and for future reference know where I'm able to find.I did walk away with a few items I'm excited to mail friends for the holidays. You can find House of Mana Up in the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center on the ground floor in building A.Aloha!!"
"Chris and his wife are masters of this trade! We have been trying to find a good shave ice place on this side of the island for quite a while and I daresay we finally found THE ONE. Nestled down some stairs in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Waikiki is some of the best shave ice you will ever eat. The texture of the ice is perfectly fluffy and the syrups are drizzled on in the perfect ratio. They offer a variety of flavors, not only syrups but also ice cream! Chris let us sample a few and he does not skimp on making sure you get the best quality all around. The ice cream is amazing and he even offers natural all fruit syrups with plenty of flavor! We shared a large between four of us and it was plenty big... though, there was a part of me that wanted to go back and get another all to myself! His prices are amazingly reasonable too, he truly goes above and beyond to make sure you get a quality product without breaking the bank. Feel free to show up with high expectations because I promise you they'll be met! Can't wait to come back! TIPS & TRICKS: * Never forget the sweet and condensed milk on top! * They can get pretty busy at night, so try to make a trip in the middle of the day--plus that's when shave ice is the best, when you escape the heat after spending the morning on the beach!"
"After indulging in some tasty shaved ice we browsed around this general store. If you're looking for a cute or touristy gift this is your place. They have food, clothing, and trinkets just to name a few items. If you like Snoopy merchandise they had a lot of adorable items for sale. Service was very friendly and helpful.Oh and for all you North Shore whalers that go to Whaler's General Store, just a note. I didn't see too many harpoons or bottles for storing ambergris here, but I'm sure they were in the next aisle over from where I was shopping. Don't worry, unless your name is Ahab you'll find your White Whale in no time!"
"It's not every day that I walk into a store and literally don't want to leave, but that's exactly what happened here.LOCATION & DECOR:Inside of the mall right off of kalakua near the Royal Hawaiian on the second floor. Laser cut and painted wood art. Just the treasure trove of aesthetically pleasing viewables and souvenirs to take home.PRICE:$$You'll spend a little bit in this place. $18 for just the stand for a custom photo stand and the additional pieces range from$6 dollars for a small monsterra leaf and $18 for a background piece. Coasters at $10 a piece. Larger photos $30-50.SWAG:Picture frames, magnets, cell phone and iPad holders, wall art, photo stands, coasters, keychains, etc. STAFF & EXPERIENCE:Staff here was super friendly and available, but not pushy or lingering. This place is full of inspiration especially for creatives and artists. This place supports local artists which builds three local community and gives art an authenticity that you can't find everywhere especially in the states. First time I stepped in there I wasn't able to see all that I wanted to see and do all that I wanted to do because I had a time constraint, but I've come back to buy up way too much or at least more than I can reasonably fit in my check-in baggage. Haha."
"This store is filled with cheap and highly overpriced items. They mark up all their items when you find similar for a fraction of the cost. The owner was rude and judged me the minute I walked in. I wasn't dressed up as a typical tourist, so she kept side-eyeing me, and then when I asked if I could have the bathroom code, she proceeded to ask in a condescending tone if I even bought anything, which I did. I told her I wanted lunch downstairs, which was considered part of the mall. She still refused and continued making nasty remarks towards me. Just know that the quality of her store is garbage, and the only reason they succeeded is probably because they are located in Waikiki. Stay away unless you want to be judged by the female owner unless you walk in carrying a Chanel or any other designer clothes."
"Found this hidden gem next to HRC, good selection and decent price for Hawaiian clothes and souvenirs, way better than all the souvenir shops along Waikiki walk. We bought Hawaiian shirts and chocolates for souvenirs"
"Great customer service. The people who run the store are very sweet. I purchased a Hawaiian shirt and 2 kukui nut lei necklaces. There was a large shell necklace that was around $20-$30 and I wish I purchased it now. I thought I would come across one cheaper but I never did. I didn't even take a picture but it was beyond beautiful. It was handmade and very unique. So unique that I never saw anything else like it on my visit. The 2 kukui nut lei necklaces I purchased are in the photo I posted. You can find them at any store in hawaii."
"Things Unique was one of a handful of shops located across from my resort in Ko Olina. I was trying think of little gifts to bring back home for my friends (and for myself), so I took the time to explore most spots I came across. Needless to say, as soon as I eyed TU I walked right in.TU is a little hidden from view, located in an archway that connects one end of the parking lot to the other. It has an inviting exterior though, and as soon as I entered I was greeted with a number of crafts and gifts - most (if not all) are made in Hawaii. I noticed a lot of wooden figures, wall decor, and the usual magnets and keychains. What stood out to me was their holiday ornament selection - specifically these beautifully carved ones made from a wood only found on the Hawaiian Islands. They were creatively carved and thought they would be perfect gifts, so much that I picked up two. They pack a lot in a small space, so it's easy to get lost browsing. Service was friendly, and overall this is definitely worth a stop in during your Ko Olina explorations."
"Great assortment of gifts and souvenirs! Now you will pay premium because you're off the beaten path, but for me it was worth it to find so many unique items under one roof. I had been searching for some wooden bowls bowls but in unique shapes made is shapes made of Acacia or monkey wood we're monkey wood and this store had several I ended up buying an oblong scalloped shaped bowl which will be perfect for serving crackers and then a smaller plumeria shape bowl that is just so beautiful And the perfect silver near is sevenir for HawaiiThis store had lots of unique food items like dried pineapple covered in covered in dark chocolate. I have never seen that anywhere in all of my trips to Hawaii.Macadamia nuts, comma coconut items, coffee coffee, comma chocolates,Pancake mix, and so much moreIn addition to the food items there were lots of T shirts, sweatshirts, Hawaiian clothing, ses turtles,, magnets,, and other Hawaiian treasures.Right in the center of Hukilau Marketplace in front of the Polynesian Cultural Center, this is a convenient place to stop for gifts and momentos.Lots of free parking in the lot and a dozen or so food carts and restaurants."
"Shopping in Honolulu Chinatown...Sometimes, I just need to get some lucky red envelopes. The envelopes seem to make monetary gifts a bit more special. I usually give them as gifts to my nieces, nephew, and friends for the New Year. (This year's envelopes had cute piggies on them for the Year of the Pig!) At other times, I might give a red envelope in a birthday card or as a wedding gift. I found this store, W. H. Hing, at the Chinatown Cultural Plaza (on the ground floor) in Honolulu. It's convenient because it's surrounded by many Chinese restaurants. When you look at the restaurant, Tai Pan Dimsum, W. H. Hing is right next to it - on the right hand side, near the Kuan Yin statue. This shop also has Chinese newspapers, clothing, trinkets, snacks, videos, CDs, umbrellas, incense, souvenirs, and more! Just take a look! You may find something that you didn't realize that you need!"
"A decor of your own...It's amazing what a year did to CocoNene as I remember that this was a slipper store with some build your own decor items which now has focused on just the decor items exclusively and what a beautiful direction they've gone to. Located in Ala Moana Center Street Level near Centerstage if the storefront hasn't captured your attention what they have here certainly will.Fun is what you'll find especially if you're local the humor is definitely there as "On Island time" is their clock where you can turn a simple wall clock with adding a pendulum is the cutest idea along with their Longboard Letter by filling in the gaps with various items that represents the moment and is very interchangeable so nothing is set and permanent is a bit how we live with each new day."'Opihi Stickers" lol!! Aahhh the creativity of it all as you choose what you want to stick on your surfboard and they do have a bunch to choose from along with picture frames and ornaments there's so much to choose though it all can add up as each item are individually priced here and it's all fun and vibrant that will make anyone smile and the staff here is wonderful to help you with any questions.Thank you!"
"This is such a cute little store, the employees were very welcoming and helpful. We landed on the ube smoothie. It included their house made ube jam, ice cream, and coconut water. It was very refreshing, the perfect amount of sweet. I definitely want to come back to try their shaved ice with their house made syrups!"

Writing this review based on the local products and customer service I received on my visit. I was looking for a one stop shop for local snacks to send to a friend who recently moved away. He was home sick and needed some Aloha. Sending him a care package loaded with local snacks would cheer him up.House of Mana up supports local products and carries a wide variety of them that I have not seen in other stores. They not only have local snacks, but also carry local fashion, artwork, and beauty products. The sales person who was there on the day I visited was very helpful and made recommendations. If you want to shop local come and checkout their store located in the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center.

We stopped in here just based on a random google map search and it was an amazing find! The shop is great with tons of things to shop for. They have icecream and of course the main event: shaved ice!The shaved ice was wonderful. From the texture of the ice to the flavors. Everything was perfect. And the owner was friendly and so helpful. What a great spot!

This store is located in the Haleiwa Store Lots. There's parking in the back and I am always so lucky to find one, even on a Saturday! The store offers freshfruits, cold beverages, little snacks, souvenirs, and local artist appeal/goods. They are reasonably priced and have a wide variety of things to choose from.

From the moment we walked in we were greeted by the fabulous Maurice. Aloha!!! Loved it! As we perused the store, Kaden was there to give us the background on certain items for purchase. Great staff! This place has so many unique and awesome items from key chains to decorative frames. All great gift items! I know it's only August but I was already thinking in my mind who deserved to receive a beautiful item from here. First I need to make one for me! Lol Looking forward to creating some items here in the months to come!

1.31.23: Great hidden spot for souvenirs with awesome prices, about 50% cheaper than what you'd find at other gift shops along Kalākaua Ave. and the surrounding area. They are right next door to The Hard Rock Cafe. I found one VERY specific item on my list (for an unbelievable price!) that I could not find at ABC, Foodland, Don Quijote, or Waikiki Market. Accepts cash for purchases over $10. In addition to unique gifts they sell beachwear including snorkeling gear, lunch bags, purses, wallets, slippers, towels, t-shirts & sarongs, but no snacks or drinks. Recommend!

If you're looking for things "Made in Hawaii" then this is your store. The staff is really friendly and they ship.Tons of local crafts to take home as souvenirs. Such crafts are jewelry, hand painted coconuts, items carved out of wood, magnets, picture frames and many more It's not inexpensive but the quality is superior. You get what you pay for The shop is around the corner from the pizza store so not a front store. Check it out and you will love it as much as I did

"Just breathe and take it all in...Don't overthinking it and give them a visit, Hawaii Tile Factory is the place to gather your aromatherapy accessories using tiles from Okinawa and what a super cool concept! It's all made in Okinawa and shipped to Hawaii the benefit to this eco friendly item not only makes our personal space look super cute and visually pleasing but being porous making it easy to add essential oils makes is nice and soothing. Weather your looking for something on your table top or a hanging ornament they have such wonderful variety. The do have a few other decors like plates mugs and bowls that would pair perfectly with accessories they have as well making this a great place to get it all for a gift to other or yourself ;-)Thank you!"
"This place has all the gadgets, strings, motor, controller, hobby items galore in a hidden residential area in Kaimuki. If you like drones, fishing, flying rockets, motor small boats, RC cars, making planes, and possibly making gundam, this place is a great place to buy parts to replace or repair your hobbies. They have so many selections depending on your interest. My friend convinced me to look at this place since he likes to fly drones, and planes and I was shocked that this place is near residents and has a wide array of selections to make your hobbies as well as have fun with your hobbies. Science teachers or coaches for robotics or battle bots, this place has multiple items you can teach to build or compete with Definitely will come back again for parts needed or thinking to build something"
"This little gift shop was another great place to buy souvenirs for a decent price. They had a nice selection of Hawaiian shirts, t-shirts, photo frames, knick-knacks and more. They are located behind the Wailana Coffee House. Worth stopping by for a look."
"I really like the shaved ice here. Whenever I come up to Hale'iwa I always come here to get my shaved ice. They sell a lot of souvenirs here as well, don't know if I can call it a tourist trap but they do have a lot of touristy stuff. The prices I guess are ok. The employees are always nice and they have a pretty good sized parking lot but it does get pretty full on the weekends. Can't wait for my next trip!"
"Did you know that Moomins were created by Tove Jansson, who is a Swedish-speaking Finnish writer and illustrator? While my most favorite animal is the hippo, Moomins, the central characteries of these novels, short stories, picture books, and comics, are actually trolls! This Moomin Shop is located at the Ala Moana Center, and their store is filled with various collections, such as apparel, home and kitchen items, mugs, for the bath, bags, accessories, stationery, and even toys. The store itself is super cute and colorful, and everything is well-arranged and organized! The staff are friendly and very helpful, and this place is such a good stop to purchase gifts for others or for yourself!+cute selection of items+located at the Ala Moana Center+plenty of parking"
"Shopping in Honolulu, Hawaii...If you're in the area of the NEX (Navy Exchange), you can visit this kiosk! Anyone can get in... you don't need a military ID!Joy is the cheerful owner of Imperial Gallery. You can't miss it because it's right in front of the restrooms on the ground floor. Joy said that she hasn't raised her prices in ten years! Thank you!I got some hair clips, earrings, keychains, and rings. The plushies, hapi coats, purses, bracelets, rote bags, and trinkets were very tempting! We need to return for Chinese New Year items... it's better than going to Chinatown! Joy will have an additional booth in the middle ... look for the Red merchandise... for Year of the Wood Snake. Lunar New Year starts on January 29, 2025."
"A fond farewell with a happy ending. Menehune Mac will cease their operations on Waiakamilo rd by the end of Sept. 2021. BUT luckily this is not the end like so many other local business. They are moving to a new location on Republican street and will be sharing space with the Hawaiian Chip Co. location.Menehune Mac products are a cut above other local offerings. Case in point is their dark chocolate. They use a high grade chocolate that comes out of northern CA called Guittard. If you have ever tried their dark chocolate products and compared it with the competition there is no comparison. The Menehune Mac offerings are clearly better tasting. They offer a host of other delicious products such as party mixes, chocolate arare, Mac nut candies in different flavors. Lots of logo items too with their signature Menehune mascot- great branding. Come by and give your farewell to a familiar location and cheer on Menehune Mac at their new Republican St location in October. Keep It Local! Support Local! Buy Local!"
"Located upstairs in the Waikiki Shopping Plaza. You can find souvenirs here, some of it not in an ABC, so it may be worth a trek just to check it out."
"This store was somewhat friendly until the end. They had advertised 20% off when buying $100. They did not honor this discount and were very deceptive about what was going on. Would not recommend this store at all."
"Island Sole features Hawaiian-made products is located in Kahala Mall. The sell several different brands of "flip flop" wear including the coveted (and expensive) Olukai brand. I arrived early on a Wednesday and received excellent service. I picked out a pair of Olukai white sandals that I had seen earlier in the week. The clerk encouraged me to select a smaller size with a better fit. Their Olukais run at $82 but they do have a few styles on sale. They also carry a small wide variety Reef and Birkenstock sandals for women, men and kids. They carry local artistic signs, decor and giftware as well. This is a fun shop to check out if you want aloha experience."
"A little bit of sparkle...Elena Hawaii is a tiny shop in Hilton Hawaiian Village Rainbow Bazaar and honestly by name I never gave it much thought as I was browsing around until I see some cute decor through the window. The window display is obviously filled with all things Hawai'i souvenirs many would shop for like some plumeria jewelry, mermaid print accessories along with some Christmas decor and cute plushies all that does appeal generally for us girls, though there are some hats, magnets for the guys majority are really cute jewelry and accessories. Many items are really cute and affordable prices though this shop is really cozy as I was looking at some hair clips and noticed so did another shopper so I moved so that she may browse as well and ended up loving and getting a bracelet which is adjustable so that it can be used with ease. The staff seemed to be new as she was unfamiliar with my item in particular though to her defense there is a lot of items here lol!Thank you!"
"It's funny sometimes how I learn about things, even when a five-hour flight away. I saw a video from a local news channel and was captivated by the interview and introduction of this business (https://www.khon2.com/video/signature-by-the-kahala-opens-in-waikiki/8591087/ ). I couldn't help but call to get more information. After hitting a few snags, my friend who works in the area stopped in and helped me place an order. My friend kindly helped me place the order and gave them my info (shipping address and payment info). It took a little while but the manager Maria helped me stay on top of things in getting my order which came by FedEx. It was nicely packed in a FedEx box and packed very well. I read the box instructions very carefully in learning that the best way to store them would be to find a cool, dry place as I get to them. Most of the boxes were for gifting to friends but you know that I must indulge too. I started with the guava strawberry mac nuts (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=h3bVHZfQ7AWxWiJpGANm5A&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q) on the advice of my helpful Oahu friend; the flavors are certainly there is you like that fruity flavor and, as mentioned in the video, those nuts are not your ordinary store bought variety. The other box that I opened was due to my leaning towards this flavor for sherbet and Taiwanese snacks, the pineapple mac nuts (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=mdyb-9A0_sUmSxWOkrOi1w&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q); the flavor is not as sweet but you certainly get that pineapple essence here. One friend who received her gift opened her box of the lilikoi mac nuts (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=60iDuIVDjmj7-poV6ABx3A&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q) and shared a few pieces with me. Surprisingly, this might me my favorite right now as it had that sweetness but the tang from the lilikoi (passion fruit) that made it a bit interesting. I still have a few other flavors that I bought and have yet to try since I can only afford (waistline) to eat so much at a time. Looking forward to hearing reactions from my friends who will try this and looking forward to trying other flavors. If you're in Waikiki, it's a good opportunity to get a taste of Kahala without having to go to their property."
"I stumbled upon Makaha Surf and Souvenirs when I had to stop at the Cvs twice in one week! From the outside, I didn't think much of it but walking in.... totally blew my mind. Everything they carried was soooo cute and definitely of good quality. They sell canteens that say Makaha, signs to put up in your home, check out my photos, clothing for adults and children, stickers and so much more. The prices seem reasonable, I know the swapmeet is quite the drive from Makaha so stop here and support small business. I did read another fellow yelper's review and yes she is right it is not a surf shop where you can rent a surfboard but if you were interested in purchasing a new one they offer that!"
"I had been to this store before and had purchased the red "lee see" envelopes with my family name on them. Today I was attracted to a string of small red Chinese blinking lanterns that were cleverly displayed at eye level. I thought they'd make a great addition to our HGEA Lunar New Year party so I took a package to the cash register. Without my asking, the cashier opened the bag and tested the bulbs...good thing, because they didn't work! He turned around and efficiently grabbed another string of lights, tested them and placed them in my bag. What service!"
"If you are looking to rent boards, Stoke House offers a very fair price and they are super helpful. But what I come here for are the clothes! They have so many cute outfits. Of course they have bikinis and bathing suits, but they also have very pretty dresses, top, shorts, rompers, jumpsuits and sweaters. The patterns are nice, colors are soft and the quality is good. There is a cream cropped sweater with big wide strips of orange, yellow and turquoise, my favorite color combo, that I may have to purchase! Just wish it was a regular length sweater. I've already bought a muted orange and cream dress and got so many compliments when I wore it. There is a whole rack of floral printed Jean jackets with plumeria, birds of paradise and other tropical flowers native to the island. Lots of accessories, too! Purses, handbags, sunglasses, hair accessories, beach towels, sandals and tote bags for the beach or to use as your everyday carry all. There are lots of prints in the wall and I believe they are for sale also. They carry men's clothing, too. Button up half sleeve shirts in calm prints, bathing suits, shorts, long shorts and t-shirts. Located on Kalakaua, Stoke House really stands out from the plethora of stores selling the same wares. Yes, it's summer and beach attire but they evidently curate from different brands and are able to offer clothing that looks different from the other stores. even better, it works whether you live on the island or not. Definitely stop in this shop!"
"A nice store to shop for souvenirs and anything you don't need but want!!I got a pen and a Hawaiian themed small cloth wallet !!Yes we got complimentary coffee to get that energy for the day! Thanks!"
"I heard a whisper in the wind....coco....nene...It was almost as familiar as the sound of your own breathing while still foreign like a stranger whispering a dare in your ear on a red eye flight...cocoooooo.......neneeeeeeeeeCan you handle the Coco? Will you face the Nene? I did. the shop is cute with wooden laser printed art. I picked up a Christmas Nene. That poor bird, always getting the short end of the stick. Beautiful and totally unable to adapt to its unforgiving and ever changing environment.Stop in and get a cute Nene bird souvenir!"
"Service, selections, value! The owner has been in biz for over 24 years. He designs the shirts and items himself. Its all unique stuff from the North Shore. This lil gem is on the way to the Polynesian Cultural Center or way back. The value is excellent. Got a tue dye hoodie for 40 bucks. With a unique Hauula logo. This kind of hoodie would be 80 in Waikiki."
"It's hard not to sneak a peek...A crafter myself you do sense the vibe here is very uniquely artsy with a twist as nothing broken is wasted and the items here are very cute and I love how it's a treasure hunt as every nook and cranny is filled with with finds. Many items here are for decor so it's finding that right item you've always been looking for is the fun many are tropical simple and artsy some of the shell items did catch my eye since I do have so many myself seeing them being transformed to a tassel and even an espresso cup has me thinking...nah! This cool business is found in Kailua Shopping Center and the end of the rainbow is here filled with fun treasures and not to be missed as you'll never know what you'll find.Thank you!"
"I believe there are 3 Snoopy Surf Shops: Kaimuki, Okinawa, and this location on the North Shore in Hale'iwa. They sell some pretty cool gear: T-shirts, bags, towels and sweatshirts. The only thing I didn't see were hoodies. I didn't care about price bc you can't get this gear anywhere else.Regarding the ambiance, its a decent sized shop. It is not too small nor too big. The staff is friendly and full of aloha: An important factor up in the North Shore.I will stop by the Kaimuki store in Honolulu the next time I am in town. I want to collect gear that is specific to the location."
"Calling all Snoopy fans! I repeat, calling all Snoopy fans! Looking for a momento for your trip to Hawaii or wanting to bring goodies back to friends or family? This shop has pens, notebooks, towels, mugs, t-shirts, stickers, and decals. The staff was helpful and attentive. I ended up coming here twice to pick-up another pen as the one that was selected by my cousin's son was picked out of the group he got to select from and it was one of the favorites, ha. Will be gifting some of the other items I picked up to my sister as she's a fan of the gang and would appreciate it more than I would. The towels are super soft and the pens glide on paper quite nicely."
"I personally have not visited this shop but I received two pairs of earrings that I love from someone who bought them from here. He said he interacted with the owner who was very friendly and even wrapped up the earrings nicely in small jewelry gift boxes and little bags so he didn't even need to wrap them. So, if you're a man, who doesn't want to wrap things and are looking for a nice gift, apparently this is where to go. ;) My two pairs of earrings were both made of coral and sea glass and just had a beautiful all natural organic nature about them that I really like."
"Last minute shopping at the airport formerly known as the Honolulu International Airport...From Hawaii With Love is a spacious, bright, and helpful Oasis for travellers headed back home and want one final souvenir... Or for tourists who forgot to get a gift for a friend, family member, or themselves... Or for residents who have room in their carry-on bag for a cute neck pillow and snack!Located at Terminal 1 (Hawaiian Airlines) of the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport, this shop, situated across from and before Gate C3, has a wide selection of merchandise. I saw University of Hawaii gear, pineapple-themed goods, soaps and lotions with tropical scents, hair accessories, magnets, keychains, stickers, socks, cute neck pillows, beach themed picture frames, honey in little plastic bear containers, Honolulu Cookie Company cookies in pineapple shaped tins and surfboard shaped tins, and more!If I had space in my bag, I'd get a few items!"
