"2 words to describe Maguro Brothers (MB): FRESH FISHWhen in Chinatown, my go to place is MB. There are so many options but the freshness of the fish from MB is unlike other places. The poke bowls are made to order and mixed fresh. So be patient as it just makes the poke so much better tasting. As you bite into the pieces of ahi, it just melts in your mouth. You can just taste the freshness! My absolute favorite is the spicy ahi. It is a tad bit spicy for me (yum!) but if spicy is not your thing, I'd recommend something else. If I could, I'd order everything!Seating wise, there's a couple tables in front but you may need to hunt around. It's to be expected though of Chinatown and that marketplace. I hope that MB will consider opening a shop outside of Waikiki or Chinatown..maybe somewhere that has more parking options haha! But if you love poke, you NEED to try Maguro Brothers!"
"#5 rank out of 5.Of the 5 poke places we tried while on Oahu, this one was the lowest rank.Came in after the lunch rush, selection was small, but service was excellent.Food was subpar / mediocre - almost supermarket quality.Fish freshness tasted like defrosted frozen ahi - cuts were very uneven - large uneven chunks to tiny cubes.Taste was way too heavy/strong in sauces and therefore very salty.Tried: shoyu, limu and spicy. All were very salty - made me remove the dressing/sauce on the ride just to be able to eat it.At $26/lb it's too pricey for what you get.Tried their beef stew and katsu w/ garlic chicken plate - both were very salty as well.Beef stew was almost all fat - very little meat and one small piece of potato and carrot was all that was found.Had to take a anti-hypertensive medication after that meal.Would not return here."

"We had dinner reservations and were immediately brought to our table upon arrival. The view from our table was absolutely stunning! Our waiter brought lavash, garlic butter and water for everyone and gave us a few moments to review the beverage menu. After our beverages were brought to the table, we ordered the French Onion Soup and Double Ribeye for two. The soup was absolutely delicious! We loved the puff pastry that was baked on top of the soup dish. The ribeye steak was really flavorful and big enough to fill everyone! Of course we had to save room for dessert so we bagged our leftovers and ordered the Cherry Jubilee.. OMG! This has to be my favorite dessert here.. the sauce is to die for! Needless to say, the dessert was devoured and everyone left full and happy. I highly recommend this restaurant! We've had excellent service every time we've eaten here, and the food is consistently delicious."
"I've heard so much about Fat cheeks Lobster roll from my co worker. Thank you Jesus she text me and said let's go to fat cheeks. Oh baby here we go. Yessss she picked me up and we headed here. Mouth watering buttery dripping are the words she used . SHE WAS RIGHT! it is amazingly juicy buttery with a lightly toasted roll. It's worth every penny. My words to everyone is......Yummy Fresh HOT -lightly CRISPED BREAD LOADED WITH HUGE CHUNKS OF LOBSTER SOAKED IN HOT BUTTER. You have to eat it immediately - They have a cute seating air conditioned area for patrons, I suggest you take a seat and enjoy your lobster roll -I definitely will be back for more!"
"Their vegetarian lunch special at $11.99 is a STEAL! Today was my first time at this restaurant and I got the saag paneer lunch special. And it had absolutely everything I wanted and craved and honestly I was stuffed to the gills after all that food. Aside from the main dish there was basmati rice, perfect buttery naan, yellow dal, and a curry with aloo and matar which just all *perfectly* hit the spot. There was something else spicy and sweet that I have no idea what it was but it also mixed in perfectly and just an all-around home run meal -- no, a grand slam!Service was excellent, they were super on it with the rhythm and refilling waters and everything, super duper nice too. The patrons at lunch were all smiles with the kind and attentive servers. It's a small cozy restaurant but oddly enough it never felt cramped, they had the space laid out perfectly in my opinion. Any empty tables (not many at lunchtime!) had upturned glasses atop a paper placemat with silverware set ready for the next customer. Will be back for a meat dish next time, pretty excited for that!"
"We love this place! Customer service is top notch, food is delicious and fresh and the ambiance and views are unbeatable. We love the buffet. Great for kids, just ask for an outside table. Definitely recommend!"
"We ordered thier special dish, the pickled cabbage stir fried Intestine! We love it,recommend to try!!Definitely will go back to try other dishes."
"I took the bestie out to dinner for his birthday. I didn't have a reservation, but got seated within 5 minutes. I wasn't expecting it to be so busy on a Monday night. The restaurant was actually full. The restaurant doesn't look that big from the outside. However, on the inside it can seat a decent amount of people. We ordered the table side Chicken Caesar Salad. It was a two order minimum $13.90 each. The greens were fresh and the salad was tasty. During table side service I'm used to the waiter explaining the preparation steps to us. Our waiter was silent throughout the whole preparation. I got the large Seafood Combo linguini in red sauce $35.90. My friend got the Chicken Piccata linguine $31.90. He liked his chicken pasta. My seafood pasta was ok. I've had better. The sauce was on the bland side and very one dimensional even after the waiter put on a heaping of powdered mozzarella. The seafood was fresh and I really enjoyed the huge clams. The service was good. The wait staff checked on us throughout the night and kept the water glass full."
"We made it back to Honolulu, and on our must do list was a return trip to Legends Restaurant. Like every time we visit, every table was taken, and there was a line out the door. However, the place is big, the service efficient, and the line moves quickly. Like many, we pre-judge a restaurant by the crowd. This place is a local favorite. It's busy, it's noisy, it's frenetic - all in a good way. We are drawn to hole in the wall restaurants and this unassuming, tucked away in the corner of the Chinatown Cultural Plaza, fits the bill. Its decor is exactly what you would expect and hope for. Now that you have a feel for the ambiance, let get down to the food which is excellent. The dim sum menu at Legends is extensive, boasting a wide array of tried and true creations. From the classic har gow, steamed pork buns, and shrimp dumplings, to some more adventurous options, there's something for every appetite. As trolley after trolley comes by you have to be careful not to over order. There's also a formidable ala carte menu. A particular favorite of ours is the ginger rice. That by itself brought us back.Honolulu, and Oahu overall, has plenty of food options. There's definitely fancier choices, but Legends will not disappoint."
"Double ahi belly plate is a WINNER every single time !! My husband's favorite... it comes with rice, taegu, kimchee & your choice of fresh poke. This place is busy and so I usually order by phone & pick up. Small mom & pops type feel with friendly service and nostalgic old school fish market type vibe !Highly recommend"
"Food was soo ONO!! We had Garlic Shrimp and Chicken Curry and we would rate them 10/10. Ive had garlic shrimp from 4 places in Hawaii, including Giovanni's and EbiNomi is my Top 1 BEST Garlic Shrimp!! We also met TETSU from EbiNomi and he made us feel so welcome! He was very friendly and accommodating. EbiNomi is lucky to have him. The ambiance was also nice, it's an outdoor seating. Thank you, EbiNomi and Tetsu! We will definitely come back and recommend this place"
"We were walking by here and the aroma from this food truck filled the air. The food smelled wonderful and we had to give it a try. It's right by Maguro Spot where I picked up my lunch. The hubby decided to try their sweet chili chicken $17. The prices are a bit higher here in Waikiki. They gave a lot of chicken. I can't do spicy and thank goodness it wasn't spicy at all. It was on the sweeter side. It was yummy after just getting out of the fryer and being drenched in their sauce. It came with white rice, toss salad and a butter roll. I would eat here again, but looking for parking around this place is nuts."

Very yummy & fresh fish located in the back of the marketplace! They conveniently have dining tables and plenty other food stalls in the hall that you can grab other food/drinks from. I came with my friends for lunch and the service was nice and fast. I ordered the chutoro donburi and my friends ordered different chirashi bowls. Everything was delicious! The fish was super fresh and yummy. I also liked the tamago that was added in. Will definitely be back for the poke.

Ordered the Spicy Ahi Katsu plate and a pound of the Spicy Ahi. The Katsu plate was amazing - so Ono. Comes with a layer of spicy ahi katsu with mayo and furikake over lettuce leaf for color. As for the pound of spicy ahi - I'm glad I brought to share because salt was heavy on dis one. Either that or it wasn't lomi'd enough in da poke. I caught a pocket of Hawaiian salt and my tongue was pau - but everything else was Ono. I will still come back but I'll ask for a sample next time. Service was fast with talking story small kine since was busy but very efficient and didn't keep people waiting to long. Over to the right of the restaurant is a long bench - cafeteria style where you rub elbows with new friends. We chose to eat on the run since our party was big. All in all, it was a good day.

We drove to Michel's and were greeted by the valet attendant who was outstanding. Very friendly. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly host -- she walked us to our table and pulled out both of our chairs and I just KNEW we would enjoy this experience. Our server Brandy introduced herself and recommended cocktails we should try. As we waited for our drinks, we enjoyed the views of the beach and the restaurant itself. The ambiance was so delightful we both couldn't stop smiling. Our drinks arrived and we toasted to taking our time and enjoying our evening. We ordered a cold seafood platter and two orders of oysters. DELICIOUS. The server's assistant (very shy girl, I think her name was Nehua? Something Hawaiian :,) sorry girl) was also very sweet and super attentive. We ordered our main dishes and some of them came with table side service. The Caesar salad, the lobster bisque and the banana flambé were all table side and I loved it because we got to enjoy our apps & drinks while watching a little show lol. Anyways-- Brandy and everyone else there is fantastic. Even when I was walking to the restroom, another attendant asked if I needed help locating it. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for great food, great views and great service!

We went here on our lunch break last week. All you need to know is this: Kamana's does Vindaloo like nobody else. It's the absolute best if you love a spicy sour dish. Vindaloo is already a spicy dish, so a "medium" spice level may be on the hotter side (which is what I prefer). Other than that, I've noticed that their spice levels are pretty mild compared to their competitors. I enjoy dining in at Kamana because the service is great, but they are generally always busy. If you are in the downtown area, Kamana's is must try.

I've been thinking about staying at the Kahala Resort to start my trip back home to O'ahu. I did a test drive at the bar at Plumeria, the all day dining option at the resort. We shared the fried ahi poke musubi, and I had the sig mai tai. First of all, the musubi was real creative. It had fresh ogo (limu), and a garlic/ginger creamy sauce. The crunchy outside contrasted nicely with the fresh ahi inside.Secondarily, the mai tai is in the Top 3 I have had in the islands (the other two being the Moana and the Royal). It was not overly sweet, and it packed a punch. I was feeling the effects of the drink after one.Regarding the ambiance, its big here. Plumeria has a breakfast buffet, and a dinner buffet on certain evenings.Steve, our bartender treated us with a lot of Aloha. We really felt at home here.I need to add the Kahala to where I stay on O'ahu. It is quiet and secluded, unlike the hustle & bustle of Waikīkī.

I finally made it back to Fun Station after 2 years; this time, I came with my extended family. Decorations inside have remained the same; however, the arrangement of the tables has since changed. Tables are now arranged along the 2 sides of the walls with the ones on the left being larger to seat bigger parties like ours (6 people) . Since my last visit, a lot of changes have occurred, mostly positive. Pros: Service was better during this visit. Our party of 6 was promptly seated, and as they saw that my relatives were on the older side, they offered to take our entire menu manually. Food came out pretty quickly, and our waitress was attentive, refilling our tea/water. The new menu now offers more variety, such as plates, soups, fried rice, and not just noodles/"fun." They also now have daily specials for different days of the week. Cons: The menu was reimagined, and many of the items from the old menu were no longer available. My family enjoys noodles with beef intestine, and I had told my family about the bowl I tried here, but we were a bit disappointed that it was no longer available. This is understandable as some of the toppings in these offerings may not be as popular with locals/non-Chinese customers. They still offer their "flying" noodles, but less to choose from. Price: $$: Still moderately priced for the portion sizes. Smaller portions than at larger Chinese restaurants but still quite generous portions. Their weekday special seems like a great deal, with each one being only $13.50. Food: Our family ordered various dishes to share, including beef chow fun, Beef Brisket Tendon Fun in soup, minute chicken cake noodles, Handmade fishcake and fish ball in soup, brine mix plate, and sweet and sour pork. The beef brisket tendon fun was our favorite. The noodles were topped with veggies, beef brisket, and tendon. The minute chicken noodles were super crispy and had lots of chicken and choi sum. The brine mix plate portions were generous for each type of meat. Their beef chow fun and sweet and sour pork plate was pretty good and comparable to larger Chinese restaurants. The handmade fishcake and fish ball in soup with noodles was the only underwhelming dish. The fishcake and fish balls were pretty bland, and portions of these seemed smaller compared to the amount of brisket/tendons for our other noodles. Overall: Solid option for some quick Chinese food/noodles if you're in the area with family. The flying noodle gimmick isn't new anymore but still photographs beautifully

We came here for dinner a few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised. We don't usually eat pasta and go to Italian kind of restaurants. I think the last time that I went to Assagio was when it was a party for my cousin. The party was nice and they had a nice private room but the food wasn't memorable for me. I think because at the time (not sure if it's the same) there were only a few choices to choose from if having a party. I think it makes it a lot easier for the chef. We weren't exactly dressed appropriately. I had jeans and my husband had shorts. My daughter always dresses up when we leave the house so she was fine. But they didn't judge and took us in.The menu is pretty extensive with many choices for pasta and other dishes. We ended up getting calamari, Caesar salad, carbonara, shrimp marinara, and rigatoni arrabiata. The appetizers came out quick and we love their Caesar salad. It was a little spicy but it was fine and we still ate it. I love that they prepare it at your table. I got the carbonara and it was perfect. It was so good. In the past I've gotten the arrabiata but I have old lady problems now. I can't really eat spicy too much or I'll get acid reflux. Husband got the arrabiata and he loved every bite of it. My daughter got the shrimp marinara and she thought it was okay. Not really sure why she even got that since she don't like red sauce. Of course she saw me enjoying mine so she wanted some and then couldn't stop, haha. Overall it was a great dinner and hope to go back soon. Maybe we will try the one closer to our home next time.

"Dinner with friends. Nice open atmosphere here. Well lit and great service here. They let us stay there for a very long time to talk with each other and enjoy our meal here. A bit noisy with large groups tonight. We just needed to speak a bit louder to hear each other. Appetizers were delicious and tasty. Wine choices were very nice. One fruity and light, while the other red, was rich and smooth. I ordered the small clam garlic sauce Farinacca. The pasta was covered with chopped clams and three shelled clams. The sauce was light and garlicky. Fresh hot bread was provided with butter. A nice touch, but don't eat too much! Your appetite will be spoiled. See pictures for the yummy dishes we enjoyed here. Restrooms are available inside the restaurant. Service : 5/5 starsAmbiance: 4/5 starsGood: 4/5 stars"
"What a pleasant surprise coming down to Kaneohe to have some Japanese food!It was Pau Hana Friday, and I was catching up with my homie - Gary T.. My original plans were to go to Windward Mall to check out Kiku-Ya, but when I let my homie pick the eating place, Kenko-Ya was the choice.I'm so glad that my homie picked Kenko-Ya, as this Japanese restaurant offered a great selection of grub, friendly & attentive service, and pretty reasonable prices.Kenko-Ya is located at a strip mall, where the First Hawaiian Bank (Kaneohe Bay branch) & Safeway is located. Parking here is plentiful, as the strip mall has ample parking spaces.I'm not sure if this restaurant takes reservations, but when my homie & I came here for dinner on a Friday night, we elected to come here at an earlier time (approx. 6:00 PM). I'm so glad we decided to come here for an early dinner, as the restaurant was packed for a Friday night, with many other hungry customers waiting outside of the restaurant for a table to open up.The Grubbige -There were so many good choices on the menu, but I ended up getting the Two choice Combination Dinner ($25.95) - as my choices were a Teriyaki Chicken & Spicy Ahi. The two choice combination meal came with white rice, salad, & miso soup.My friend ended up ordering the Nabeyaki Udon ($18.95) - Thick noodles in a broth, combined with chicken, vegetables, shrimp tempura, & egg.Overall a very satisfying meal, and I can see why this restaurant is so popular on the windward side.On the windward side, and looking for great Japanese food? Give Kenko-Ya a try! You won't regret it!"
"Wow this place is definitely a hole in the wall. I would have never been able to find it unless I saw other yelper's directions. We walked in and were asked if we have a reservation. Maybe a good idea to call in to see if they can accommodate you. We were lucky to be seated and the server was incredibly nice. The pasta is good here, but the sides are what really made it to my core memory. I would come for the sides alone!!!!The highlights were the calamari fritti and fried mozzarella. I have never had calamari fritti like this before! The calamari pieces were soft and thick so you get a nice bite to them (but not the rubbery chew). The crispiness dipped in the provided sauce was chef's kiss!!!!!!The mozzarella sticks were out of this world!!!!!!! I have been wanting to try the viral chili's mozzarella sticks since they are rectangular so I am so glad they were like that here. Of course it is probably 100x better here since it's fresh! But because of the way it's cut, you really get a better ratio between the outer fried shell and the soft cheese. Usually my husband doesn't like eating mozzarella sticks and will limit himself to half but he had no problem eating all of this!"
"Food is always great here!Ordered dinner for our family Combo plates with meat Jun, bbq beef, shrimp tempura, bbq chicken. All items were delish and the sides are also super yummy! we will always go back and the service is just right! Try them out if you are in the area!!"
"Can't go wrong with a visit to any Nico's. The dessert options are worth stopping to try if you don't want a meal. We had the carrot cake, lemon bar, key lime pie, and red velvet cake. Yep, it was gluttonous! During lunch it is still like lunch plate place which is ok because you already have your to go box. My favorite this trip was watching the stream from the window while devouring the wonton chips and ahi dip. Their kids meals are large with variety of options. Staff were kind and the food came out quickly. Plus, as usual, I love to add when parking is free and easy. This place has a lot right in front!"
"Hanging out in the area, we decided to stop into Maile's Thai Bistro for lunch. We were warmly greeted and seated by the bartender/hostess Jaymie. Good Thai food is hard to find here on Oahu and I'm happy to say that Maile's Bistro has some of the best Thai food on the island. We ordered and enjoyed -Chicken pad Thai Spring rolls (crispy) Thai salad Mild yellow curry Sticky rice We could not get enough of these dishes! All of the dishes were flavorful, savory and made with fresh ingredients. Beautiful views, great service and delicious food, I'm a fan! I look forward to dining here again in the future."
"Amazing authentic Chinese cuisine. Please support this beautiful restaurant. Customer service is A1."
"Saved up money to take out behbeh girl to a birthday dinner at Bali Oceanfront. Heard this was the spot to see the fireworks from the Hilton Jawaiian Village. Thought would be romantical, but the seat we got only could see half of the firework show. The server that we had was one prankstah, but good thing he was funny or else he would've got the soup soup. I got the steak and was hammaz, behbeh girl got the shrimp ravioli and that was hammaz. The place was clean with the cool Hawaiian breeze. Time to head to Valor and skank. Shoots"
"A fellow foodie who I've known for over 10yrs via Yelp Hawai'i recently moved from 808 to 702 and our foodie group wanted to get together one last time before she flew out. She chose Hawaii Pot Shabu Shabu House (HPSSH), located on the 1F of 808 Center.HPSSH opened back in 2007 with the concept of combining Chinese and Japanese cooking styles. Basically they offer hot pot and you can also cook your meats shabu shabu style. For you big eaters out there, HPSSH is AYCE that offers unlimited, assorted fresh ingredients, including various kinds of noodles, proteins, and locally sourced vegetables. Dining here is quite simple: 1) select your soup base; 2) pick your meats; 3) pick items off their conveyor belt and their chiller refrigerator; and 4) create your personalized sauce at the sauce bar. There was an impressive list of soup bases and was so tempted to try their coconut chicken but ended up "chickening out" as I was afraid the broth wouldn't appeal to me. I then asked my foodie friend for her suggestion as she's been here before. I followed suit by also ordering their tom yum soup broth. You get to order 2 plates of meat each time, where I started off with beef ribeye and lamb. I then made my way to the chiller and was impressed with a large selection of proteins, mostly raw seafood, dumplings and hot pot favorites. My eyes locked on book tripe, which I absolutely enjoy. I also got some whole shrimp, fishcake tofu, stuffed fish balls and bean curd sticks. While my broth was boiling, I made my way to their sauce bar and was so happy to have found Chinese ginger and onion sauce. I added a whole bunch of chopped Chinese parsley, chili oil and for a spoonful of their house special sauce. I headed back to my table and added the fishcake tofu, stuffed fish balls, bean curd sticks, as well as fresh mushrooms and long rice that I got off the conveyor belt. When my broth came to a boil, I started to add the sliced raw meats and ate. I was impressed of their food quality and me being able to control my meat temperature. I hate overcooked meats as I'm not a fan of dry proteins. My dipping sauce paired well and I was a happy camper. I was also impressed with the large bowls of snow crab legs but because it's a hassle to eat and didn't want to get my hands all dirty I passed on them. I made the mistake of sipping the broth as it was super, super HOT. I semi burnt my tongue. Aiyah!!! Should have known better. The book tripe was delicious, as well as whole shrimp where I ended up eating the shell and all. They also offer rice, which I declined as to save stomach space.Service was a little spotty. The wait staff on the floor are non-English speaking natives where there was some confusion and disconnection during our meal. They were blunt with explanations and a little aggressive which I didn't really care for. Although I enjoyed my experience, I did find the layout of the restaurant somewhat awkward with narrow walkways. Foot traffic was passing our table and because I sat on the outside, I could feel motion on my right arm as someone passed me.Overall, a great first experience as I was able to see my friend one last time before she relocated to 702. Food was tasty and I wouldn't object returning, especially with our weather getting cooler, which would be great for hot pot/shabu shabu."
"Here's a TL;DR review of Koromo!Parking: Free, it's at the pearlridge mall next to Gen's BBQ. The GPS took us to the older adjacent mall.Food was awesome. It took some time to come out but they kept us occupied. They let you grind up your own sesame (to pair with the tonkatsu sauce) and it's UNLIMITED CABBAGE! They kept topping us off! Ambiance was a few steps above casual. It's clean and nice in there. Upscale I would say.Just a fair warning it is a little expensive, some dishes pushing $30-$40 per plate. The curry is really savory with a small little spice to it.If you're in the area and are craving something you can trust, I'd totally recommend Koromo."
"Honolulu Restaurant Week Dinner...We hit a jackpot!I originally wanted to dine at Khan Skewer Restaurant because my Yelp friend, Andy, checks in at this establishment so much that he is The Duke! It must be good, right? Our group of nine decided to celebrate "Friendsgiving" and agreed to try Khan Skewer Restaurant. The day we selected happened to occur during Honolulu Restaurant Week, so we got a DEAL!!!For 2 to 3 people, the set menu was:Edamame with Garlic Mushroom Medley 3 Skewers each of Pork Belly, Wagyu Beef, Maui Venison, and LambEggplantDeep fried Chicken Tenders Scallop with vermicelli Snow Fluffy Milk Ice - we chose peach flavor Each set came with 2 bowls of white rice... which was more than enough! Note: There were two condiments: red chili powder mix and a pineapple hot sauce... i gave mine away! The gals sat together and ordered "no spicy".We were stuffed!Everything tasted great and had wonderful presentation! The place was clean; the service was attentive;the restroom was convenient; and the parking was FREE!They were so nice to allow us to place our cake in their refrigerator, bring it out on a platter with a candle, and play a Happy Birthday song on the PA system! We had a wonderful time with fond memories! Thank you!"
"Old school Cantonese restaurant. Staff speaks Cantonese. Food came out fast but the service was on the slower side side since there was around 3 servers for the whole restaurant at evening. The food was good and I really liked the salt and pepper lobster. Lobster was fresh. Fried rice has the wok flavor and had dried salted fish. The ginger and onion sauce was tasty and fresh. The chicken itself is a little bland. Overall pretty good and legit Chinese food!"
"We called in a take out order. It was mostly ready upon arrival, fully ready shortly after we arrived. The order was correct, food was delicious, service was good. Sharing updated menu photos. Online menu doesn't have the prices."
"Spicy Ahi & BBQ in Waimalu is a solid spot for delicious and reasonably priced Japanese food. Their combos are the way to go! I had the Ahi Tempura and Chicken Katsu combo, and both were on point--the ahi tempura was fresh, not dry, and the katsu was crispy and flavorful. Just a heads-up, if you want the ahi tempura, come early because they only make a limited amount and sell out fast. Also, check ahead to make sure they're open and not on vacation. Glad they're still in business--next time, I'm definitely trying the spicy ahi!"
"Ordered takeout and it was just ok. The shrimp dumplings had small shrimp. The look funn (even tho I ordered pork) it came with shrimp.. each noodle only had ONE shrimp. The Sui Mai was oversteamed. The pork ribs had so much bone that most of it was inedible. This was Takeout tho... the entire order was around $30 and I wouldn't recommend it."
"I came here with my family last week and celebrated my mother's birthday. We packed two large tables of around 20 people. We ordered a bunch of entrees in which my favorites were: Fried flounder, fried rice and chow mein, sweet & sour pork, eggplant with shredded beef, and their crispy golden chicken.Their service was excellent. The manager kept making sure we were doing find by doing refills and cleaning up empty platters, etc. I thought this Chinese restaurant is quality and definitely worth coming to. None of the dishes were oily, bland, and over salted. The food was cooked just fine and tasted really good. My whole family was satisfied.Great Job!!"
""Wait, why do we go to Olive Garden when we can come here?" -- high praise from my other half who is the pasta authority in the house. And I agree! Our family ordered Chicken Saltimbocca, Chicken Marsala, Chicken Marinara, Garlic Bread, and Tiramisu. The portions are PLENTIFUL in the best way. I think the Marsala was a bit salty, but there was enough of the chicken/mushrooms that I was able to take leftovers and cook up some plain spaghetti and enjoy it a second day!The wait staff are super friendly and kind, and very understanding that we brought kids. Overall a wonderful experience and we're happy to revisit and recommend them on repeat."
"Went back for for 2nd try. Better this time. Normally go for daily specials. Lab day holiday lunch. Dine in. Monday daily special. Minute chicken cake noodle $14.95 requested gravy on side, garlic ong choy, 4 pieces crispy gau gee (didn't get it in last order). Owner Aaron, cousin Casey, and Nephew were there. Serving portion are good for price. Bring down empty boxes for them next time. (For their take out orders)"
"Harbor village cuisine is one of my favor for authentic Chinese cuisine, particularly Braised Fish Fillet & Tofu which many consider the best in the area. My son's favor egg tart, my husband's favor dried scallops and egg white fried rice ! As good as always! These are our dinner tonight !"
"Paradise Poke Hawaii was recommended by my step cousin, claiming it to be the freshest place to get poke.I had my parents pick me up a one choice poke bowl with SPICY HAWAIIAN ALAEA- tuna with red clay volcanic Hawaiian salt, seaweed, and kukui nut ($14) with sushi rice (+$1). According to their menu, their Spicy Hawaiian Alaea was the #1 Poke Fest Winner of 2022. With that said, they also have a variety of ahi and salmon options. The SPICY HAWAIIAN ALAEA definitely has a kick to it and needed the sticky sushi rice. It was super rich in sesame/kukui nut oil and had great umami taste from the seaweed and Hawaiian salt. The poke just melted in my mouth and you can definitely tell it's not your average Foodland poke. Topped with seaweed and garlic crisp crunchies, this bowl was exploding with both flavor and texture.I will sure to be back on my next trip to Hawaii!Overall: 5/5 for food"
"We tried this place and the fish was fresh and delicious! Fish and chips was meeting expectations and snapper Cajun style exceeded expectations! I would go back regularly for the fresh fish and clean environment. Parking nearby or street parking."
"Great portion sizes and tasty food! The have only street parking which can be tricky. Quality hasn't changed since my first visit about 8 years ago."
"My good friends - Chi & Lin were home from Germany, so we decided to make a small get together with da intermediate skool/high skool/college gang, and "King Restaurant & Bar" was the place of choice for our little get together.I've seen quite a few of my Yelp buddies post wonderful reviews & pics of King Restaurant & Bar, but what really deterred me from coming here sooner was the nearby sketchy bums that mainly hang around the front area off of the Kapiolani Blvd. entrance area.Unfortunately for me, I didn't know there was a large parking lot & a back entrance of the restaurant. This parking lot & entrance faces the Keeaumoku Walmart & Sam's Club.Had I known about that, I would have come here sooner, as this restaurant serves up some pretty yummy Chinese grub!I originally thought we were gonna do the dim sum thing for lunch, buy my friend Matt K. went all out and ordered a menu more for like a Chinese dinner. We had ordered the following grub -Peking DuckPeking Duck Skin in BunSteamed Fish Filet with Ginger & Onion SauceBeef Chow Fun (dry style)Shrimp Look FunSalted Fish & Chicken Fried RiceHoney Walnut ShrimpDry Fried String Bean with Minced PorkWhat can I say about the grub?I must say the food was outstanding! It was really hard to pick which dish I liked better, as all of the items that we ordered was so tasty & flavorful!Service was wonderful, and the food came out quickly (probably due to my friend Matt pre-ordering the menu before we came here), and it was nice that we had a private dining room so we could take our time eating, & having long fun conversation. As good as the food was, I was even more happy to see all of my intermediate skool, high skool, & college friends, as we don't get to see each other all of the time."
