"Delicious ramen and gyoza! The parking lot is very tight--it can be a nightmare to get out if it's already full, especially if another car is also behind you (we were the "other car" in this case). We were able to find free street parking just around the corner next to the auto-spa.When you arrive, I recommend signing in on the sign in sheet in front and then waiting outside (but still in view), even if it's just yourself or two people and there are empty tables. The wait staff tend to be quite busy and this helps ensure you keep your place in line, even as other parties arrive. The menu has some interesting/unique choices but we decided to stick to something familiar since this was our first time here. We each got gyoza and black garlic ramen. Ramen comes with thin style noodles but they can use thicker style noodles upon request. The food came out quickly. The gyoza was delicious, though my husband's gyoza was definitely more crisp on the bottom than mine). Ramen was also delicious! Filling and not too much food. Sometimes at ramen places, the serving sizes are so huge and since ramen doesn't keep well as leftovers, I feel bad for wasting food. This serving size was perfect! There is also chili oil on the table in case you want a little spice to your broth, though it's very flavorful on its own.Service was attentive, despite the busy lunch crowd. From other reviews, it seems like they have a punch card but we weren't asked for one or offered one. Sounds like they have a great happy hour though!"
"Cozy place by Don Quijote on Kaheka. Got seated right away. I've never had toroniku before and it was delicious! Got seated right away."

"Great experience! We went on a Thursday around 5:30 PM and had the whole restaurant to ourselves. Parking is a little tough because it's located on a busy street with limited street parking.Onto the food, our order came out quick. The Spicy Chicken Karaage was delicious! The batter was crispy and well-seasoned, but I wish it was a little spicier. The Menya Tsukemen with Black Tonkotsu broth was also delicious! I love the thicker noodles and kakuni pork! Everything is a little salty, so I think adding spinach or some vegetable with this would be good. The restaurant was a little small, so I recommend making a reservation or coming early."
"Great broth quality and choices. This place has long been a reliable choice for a good bowl of ramen with a variety of sides. I particularly vouch for the dynamite shrimp.Given that parking can be tough unless you get a lucky spot out front, they are fast on fulfilling takeout orders which are easily entered online."
"Located across Ala Moana Center on Kona Street. Ramen Manichi is where you can find authentic Japanese ramen with some creative interpretations with their gyozas. Their tonkotsu broth was legit. Ramen noodles had a nice bite. Garlic butter shrimp gyoza is a topping for their gyoza. Unless the shrimp was chopped up really small, I don't remember seeing shrimp. I got their yakisoba which was on their specials menu."
"Gomatei has always bren a solid go-to for good value meal for Hawaii Japanese food. It's like Zippy's but make it Japanese for me, always solid food and at decent price! Their takeout bentos at around $8 is perfect! Me and my girlfriend have always had a great meal. You could go to other places, but gomatei has always been consistent enough for me to keep coming back.Curry loco moco hit better than I thought, hamburger steak was great."
"Located by the movie theaters in Kahala Mall.Great spot to have lunch or dinner. U shaped seating area for individuals and table seating for 2 or more. They have a wide variety of flavor, proteins, broths and teas. The 2 gentleman workers kept up well with the lunch crowd that filled all of the tables.A safe, easy and tasty bet to fuel your shopping or working needs."
"My daughter and I decided to come here cause she told me her classmates mom works there. We came in for an early dinner Bec my daughter didn't want to eat at the mall. My daughter ordered the wonton ramen and she loved it. I decided on the mochico chicken with rice. I wanted the keiki size but she gave me too much rice that I couldn't finish it. The ladies working here were really nice and my daughter's friend was helping clean up tables and gave out iced waters. The iced waters were refreshing and I literally had 3 cups of water because I was so dehydrated. Food was delicious. The mochico chicken came out hot. Rice was perfect. There's a restroom in the back which was pretty clean. I would definitely come back to try other food items. Located inside a shopping center close to Foodland. Parking is up front and towards the back."
"Probably top 5 ramen I've had in my life! I highly recommend coming here and enjoying a bowl of there beef ramen. It's soooo good!"
"Crave is on! There is no other ramen place like Chef's as the location is so convenient for us. Had to order my fave Black Garlic Parmesan and hubby trying the Miso Tonkatsu (both had so much flavor) we also had to have starters with Gyoza (homemade) and ending with sweet sesame balls (can't beat it from anywhere). Always so pleasantly friendly service and the vibe is so welcoming."
"Great service. Open space, nice place. I had The Special (Shio Ramen w/ Bok Choy & Char Siu (perfect size for me, I ate it all), with 2 sides Gyoza & Fried Rice)Oxtail Ramen (added chili powder & chili oil)Fried OysterEverything was delicious. We will totally come back."
"The service here is immaculate. We came right on time where we got the last table before a rush came in. My husband got the ramen combo with fried rice to share with my baby and then I got the beef curry plate. The portion size of the beef curry was enough for 3 people. The plate needs more vegetables. There was an amazing portion of beef and more than enough curry sauce, but every bite felt so redundant. It only had two large carrots and then largely sliced onions that basically melted in your mouth. I usually have the opposite complaint where there's not enough beef, but given the portion size, it definitely could have used some more potatoes or extra carrots. Everything else was fine"

Tucked away across from Tipsy Pig II, Golden Pork is a modest eatery that punches above its weight. While it might not have the most glamorous exterior, it does offer delicious and affordable dining experience.I stumbled upon this place while searching for a warm bowl of ramen to eat on a gloomy Hawaii Day. Lucky for me, I arrived just in time to take advantage of their happy hour menu. The spicy cucumber, a delightful blend of chili oil and garlic chips, was a standout. The gyoza, though simple, were also quite satisfying. For my main course, I opted for the creamy vegan ramen. It was a perfect balance of flavors, with green onions, mushrooms, and tofu adding a hearty touch. While the portion size was just right, the real challenge lies in finding parking. The limited spaces behind the restaurant can be a bit of a hassle. The maximum amount of cars they could probably fit is 7 vehicles. Unfortunately, If the car lot is full, the only way out is by reversing back out to the road with cars passing. Despite this minor inconvenience, Golden Pork is definitely worth a visit. Its delicious food and affordable prices make it a hidden gem in the area. Service was also great! I came in on Halloween and at the end of my meal, the server gave me a chocolate chip cookie and wafer as a Halloween treat!

My updated review from 3 years ago - times have changed, a lot of new restaurants have opened BUT this is still my fave ramen shop. Yes I love restaurants that serve alcohol, but because of how good this place is, I made an exception. I've been religiously coming here everytime I'm craving for good ramen that I know won't disappoint. Customer service, wait time & food is just ON POINT. IYKYK. They don't do any extra crazy dishes to bring customers in but be true to their food - offering Japanese quality ramen & dishes. When I have a favorite - I always stick to it. My staples are always the Karamiso ramen with salmon ikura rice bowl. Like in my previous reviews, if you like spicy ramen this is for you! But my husband opted for a non spicer ramen and a new food item - shoyu ramen + fried rice. The shoyu ramen was CREAMIER than most shoyu ramen. And tell me why after being a die hard karamiso fan I converted to a non spicy ramen? The fried rice was SOOO good! I truly enjoy and love the food here. I hate writing reviews bc I want to gatekeep so it doesn't get busy but this place truly deserves it!

I guess my husband wanted to try this ramen place located on Pensacola street before you get to chan wah Kam manapua luckily we found street parking because we have a handicapped plaque right on Pensacola street. We're the 1st one there because they opens at 11am. Decided to eat something than ramen but what I wanted only comes a combo whether you choose ramen or bowls. I wanted a Mini chicken karage bowl with 3 piece gyoza. She said can't have it have to be a ramen or a full size bowl to get the combo or order separately. So I opt to eat a basic ramen with shoyu broth and ordered the 3 piece gyoza to make it a combo. My husband ordered their menta special ramen with tonokatsu broth. My ramen was ok the noodles were little on chewy side and the broth mild shoyu taste but ok. The gyoza was good. Though my husband said it seems to be garlicky or onioney taste. He's ramen came with egg, 2 pieces of thick pork belly slices he said was good. All in all was ok.

Noods Ramen is hands down the best ramen spot on the island! Their Shoyu Ramen is absolutely incredible--rich, flavorful broth, perfectly cooked noodles, and toppings that bring everything together beautifully. It's so satisfying and filling! I also love their Gyoza--crispy on the outside, juicy and flavorful on the inside. The service is also great, they treat you like family. If you're craving authentic, high-quality ramen, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

This has always been one of my favorite go-to for ramen... service is pretty decent considering there is normally only one person serving this small hole-in-wall ramen spot! The ramen is always the best and their apps are top notch. Noodles is cooked perfectly. Broth is A1! I got the Miso Black with an egg! You can't forget to get their gyoza... multiple ways of preperations they have available. My go-to would definitely be the negi negi one... basically a lot of green onion, nothing more than that! But, i did try out the garlic shrimp one and it is my new favorite! Calamari was nicely battered, lightly battered, seasoned to perfection. Nothing negative to say about their food! I love coming to this hole in the wall spot, but the only thing was where i was sitting. The big community is nice, but i was right next to the fan... convenient because we are eating a hot bowl of ramen. I just wish it wasn't directly at me. It wasn't a ceiling fan, its like a floor fan... when i sat, it was a big cold, the door right by the entrance from the street. Other than that, this will always be a spot i'd wanna dine for ramen! Ohh yah, i really enjoyed the cheesy gyoza too!

Sadly, Goma Tei is declining in service and attention to orders placed. I ordered pick up via Uber Eats and did not receive the Ajitama egg that I paid extra for! Not the first time this this Pearlridge location has omitted items I ordered usually by deliveries.I love their Tan Tan soup base and cannot find a comparable taste at other ramen eateries (believe me I have tried). But, these oversights have caused me to stop giving Goma Tei my business. Other patrons must think so too since Iʻve noticed their rating points have dropped dramatically. Seemed to occur once they started to use their dining room as a storage room...tacky and signs of the restaurants decline in attitude!

How do you ramen...This Gomatei in Kahala Mall located right beside the Consolidated Theater wing and though is always quite busy they always seem to have a place for you either at any one of ten four top tables or their super long counter that seems to seat a dozen on each side.Their menu is quite massive and seems to expand beyond the traditional Japanese bowl from Fish dumplings, Won Ton and even a Truffle Ramen! Tonight I'm trying something different, Hot & Sour Soup. As I was waiting for my food outside they were giving out free samples of their new menu item "Rainbow Pickled Salad" and some drinks (milk tea, lemon iced tea or plantation tea) and a sweet young man asked if I'd like a free sample of the item offered and went outside to bring it to me which was so thoughtful and sweet, while the girl who brought out my ramen couldn't be more the opposite as I could barely hear her calling out my bowl and dropped it on the seat next to me which felt rude while another young man brought my gyoza right beside my bowl and was nice. The vibe is very cozy and welcoming with cute kids art drawings on the wall as I enjoyed my hot bowl of ramen which was yummy loved the thin noodles cooked perfectly the spicy sour soup really comfort my long work week and gave me that much needed energy. Gyoza is pan fried which I love and will have it only that way was a great two bite sized with lots of fillings. The comfort of ramen is the best and gomatei has the whole vibe and more.Thank you!Yummy

We love a quick, tasty hearty meal & Ramen Bones is definitely that! Good food, quick service, soothing food and reasonable prices. Food portion is huge! I always order keiki (kids meal) and even that is a lot. We love their kimchi! I wish I could purchase it by the bottle it's so yummy! This will always be one of our go to places.

"Friendly staff, nice store, plenty of options for food and even desserts. We ordered a few things and they were all pretty good. Not much seating available but there plenty of parking and other seating options outside."
"Recently hit up Ohana Ramen and food was tasty as ever. I will say though, the prices have gone up quite a bit for the family meals. Probably about $15 more but serving size is still huge so I think it's fair. I love the fried rice and mochiko chicken from this place. The service has also improved which is appreciated. Now that they have been open almost a year all the kinks have been worked out. Would recommend if you are in the area."
"We were in Oahu our first night and looking for a quick bite to eat. We stumbled across Ramen Ya in a shopping center and took a chance, wanting to try new places. The dining room is fairly small, with maybe 10 tables. We got seated immediately and there is table service from a serving crew. The menu is large, with many different choices of ramen and other items. We weren't in the mood for ramen so we went with chicken fried rice, tonkatsu chicken, tonkatsu spam (yes, really), and some pan fried gyoza.Everything we tried we enjoyed very much. The tonkatsu was quite crispy and well cooked, though I personally didn't care for the spam cooked this way. The gyoza were fresh and hot, and the fried rice was really outstanding. Great flavor and a large portion size for the price. All in all, we very much enjoyed our meal and went there one additional time before we left. The prices were reasonable by Hawaii standards and we felt we got good value for our money."
"Nostalgic place that has a solid bowl of ramen and fried rice. Ezogiku used to be on University Ave and it brings back those memories of eating there with friends. The Office quote hits hard with this place, "I wish there was a way to know you're in the good old days before you've actually left them." Is it from a certain prefecture? Probably not. It has basic flavors like shoyu, miso, shio, and a few others. What is my go-to? Well it's won ton ramen with fried rice. I sometimes get it with gyoza, but they can subtract it and adjust the combo cost. The fried rice is wok tossed and has a nice flavor...Pork fried rice is just great. Always good. Never had a bad scoop here. The won ton broth is clean and has a hint of ginger or that might be coming from the won tons? The prices have gone up through the years, but that's to be expected. Main thing is at the end of the meal I'm full, satisfied and didn't spent over $20 for lunch.I love that you can see them make everything at the bar. They have no back of house here. I was waiting for an appointment and happened to go back in time. It was a nice visit."
"We love this place and free gyoza for happy hour with your meal is amazing. Yes, not the supreme ramen of all time, but for the price and options everyone in the family enjoys themselves. Parking is easy and for $15 you can get a combo with ramen, gyoza, and a rice dish. We chose chicken katsu curry and yum yum yum. Staff were super kind and kept bring refills for the drinks. The portions are large and everyone had extras for the next day. Plus, perfect for kids as simple inside and they have kid menu."
"March is National Noodle Month...Cheers that it has 31 days to celebrate the one carb that I love...and here at Kamukura Ramen a place that's been on my list for quite some time that I finally get to give a peek as I've heard so much about them and the choices they have from their Grand Menu of Oishi Ramen to Hawaii Special Menu of Cheese Tomato that I actually really wanted to try but did notice the "Chicken Char Siu Ramen" as it consists of Yuzu Lemon Flavor that I love.I really wanted to sit one of their counter seats but since it was thirty minutes to closing I was denied which I totally understand but what a bummer as it was a much comforting vibe.Once I found one of many seatings available in Lanai Food Court packing was nice as they separate the noodle and soup which was okay as the yuzu was like a yuzu pepper paste you need to mix in with the soup and had more of a sharper pepper flavor than yuzu which was disappointing but their gyoza was quite huge with five pieces in an order had a nice chewy wrapper filled that was a generous serving along with a packet of sauce for their convenience but was an inconvenience for me as it was impossible to dip.Keeping the kama'aina in mind with giving a free 1/2 seasoned egg with a proof of Hawaii State ID is nice to keep us coming back for more to support this gem located in the Lanai Food Court.Thank you!"
"Had the tan tan ramen and was good. Service was fine and place was clean and comfortable. Was a little perplexed by their AI generated photos of sushi on their website. It made me think it was a scam site that would take my credit card and never deliver. So I drove in instead of ordering online."
"I came here around lunch time. I got the shio ramen and the chicken karage. I wasn't particularly blown away by anything. It just tasted like a normal bowl of ramen, and customer service was normal. (Not bad and not great). There are a lot of ramen shops nearby, so I'm not sure if I'd return anytime soon."
"The curry combo was delicious and such a great value. I asked for more carrots in the beef curry and I got it! The curry was flavorful and the beef was tender. The ramen was tasty and their broth was clear and rich. Then their gyoza is filled with veggies and pork. Pan fried crispyOur server's name was Po and she was friendly and helpful! We found a great place to have a reasonable, quick and delicious satisfying meal. It's on the bottom of Market City by Ben Franklin and L&L.It's been around for a while but we just came across a "new" place for us to dine out!"
"Ample parking but it can get busy. Same shopping center as Foodland Farms. Service is about average. Food wise, the Chicken Katsu plate is huge. One of the best plates on the island in my book."
"Food's price always reasonable. Take this with a grain of salt but a lot of restaurants don't tend to really work on the quality of taste, but of course the food is still what you expected and what can fill your stomach. With that being said, it's the service. The service is what makes a client like myself and my family come.. to the point that extra service is being done to my son. Amazing people that takes good care of the person paying but more so the people surrounding the table. I go for taste buds and the flavor - quality, but if your service is amazing.. you'll see me if you only serve 1 type of food. Thank you Ewa Beach ramen Ya for taking care of my families, and especially my wife and son. PS, if I have to pick a food, I'd pick the combo A or B meal. For a good price you can have two mini entrees and a side of gyoza, not too shabby. Thanks for reading"
"This used to be our go to place for ramen especially when the weather was rainy or chilly. Last nite I chose something I haven't eaten before: gomoku udon.I liked the one piece of kamaboko(pink fish cake slice) and half an egg. There was very little udon on the bottom but it was good. Sadly the broth had absolutely no taste. I had to add several tablespoons of sauce we brought back from Osaka for a decent flavor. If you like veggies, there was more veggies then udon in the bowl.Perhaps I need to stick with what I'm familiar with: miso or curry ramen or Mabo tofu and gyoza or their combination with ramen, Fred rice and gyoza.Mililani has two other ramen places to date and that could be an alternative too."
"Look, this isn't fancy ramen by any stretch, but it has a few things going for it:- close to home- solid value- quick takeoutand perhaps most importantly,- my picky kid LOVES itWe almost always get takeaway and opt for the Combo A or B for $16. They've raised the prices a bit in recent years, but haven't changed the portion sizes - still plenty food. We almost always get the Combo A, which has a small ramen, 4 gyoza, and a choice from a limited menu (like fried rice, mochiko chicken, a couple katsu curries, beef stew). That side item can be a meal in itself. When my keiki was smaller, we could split one of those combos between the two of us - now he winds up downing all the ramen himself and half of another. The ramen comes with broth and a separate container for the noodles, kamaboko slice, green onions, and a slice of pork. Chicken katsu curry comes over white rice, and IIRC, the mochiko chicken comes with mac salad and white rice but I usually opt for the katsu so it's been a while. They're also fast for takeaway. There are a limited number of tables (5? four-tops) but I can call my order in from Mililani, get in the car, and it's ready when I get to Laniakea Plaza in about 10-12 minutes.Parking is tight. There are a good number of spaces, but they can fill up at meal times because there are several eateries that share the lot, plus the angles of the parking rows and entrance/exit can make it difficult to get into some spaces."
"Black garlic tonkotsu ramen! The broth was rich and tasy and the black garlic was well-incorporated into the broth. Nice slice of cha su, garlic chips, menma (bamboo), and aji tamago (soft-boiled egg). The noods had a nice chew to them and the green onion garnish was a good addition.Servers were very polite and accomodating."
"We love picking up food here after an errand nearby, my husband's favorite dish is their spicy wings & curry! Their mochicko chicken is cooked perfectly & the mini portion is the perfect portion for me. Cant beat the price for two people, with tip we spent $35. The gyzo & sauce is pretty standard as if you were go to ramen ya so I always get an order on the side. I do wish they had brown rice since my husband & I prefer that over white rice. It's a small restaurant but has ample seating, the service was good & food came quickly!"
"I can confidently say it doesn't match the old 99 ranch, mapunapuna location. The food is still tasty and I enjoy majority of the meals. I definitely can see the portions did go down. The quality is still there somewhat. I'm sure these reviews can help adjust things back to a 5 star. Customer Service definitely needs work! Came in a few times and wasn't a friendly environment, sometimes it's more there way or no way at all. I had some adjustments I tried to make. In which, she was correct in a way. Some other issues with taking out or eating in. I'm sure working on customer care should be a priority as well. But in all I give it a 3 stars. I'll probably do a take out vs eating in, if I'm craving this spot again."
"Simple Ramen Miso was flavorful Along with our green tea drink Service was great and there was seating Restaurant is tucked into an Alleyway, maybe blinking signs to attract more customers Check it out!"
"Rairai ramen has been around for many years. I enjoy the simple ramen that they have and their combos. I miss when they use to put a bunch of bean sprouts in their ramen. I get the miso ramen and gyoza combo! You can't go wrong. The broth is also very tasty! Don't expect anything too fancy, this is really Hawaii comfort food."
"I came here during lunch. I ordered the chicken karage rice bowl. The chicken karage bowl had four pieces of fried chicken and a egg in the center. I thought the bowl was good. The restaurant is located in Hmart on the second level food court. There is private parking lot or street parking.I would have to return to make a better assessment of Hokkaido Ramen Natauboshi."
"This is by the Kapolei theaters, the older one. We came on a Saturday after noon a little after lunch around 230pm and it was empty...just how I like it lol the workers were nice to greet us and the place was really clean. The place was pretty spacious I must say. Our server took out orders and always filled our waters. You cannot beat ordering the combo meal. I got the mini ramen with black garlic which was additional. My sides were takoyaki and mini curry. I must say, the mini curry wasn't mini it was pretty regular size looking lol I couldn't finish most of it so we took it home and had it for dinner. Everything tasted great! I did however take down a star because we ordered gyoza but the server did not mention anything about getting free gyoza during their happy hour until we paid and got in our car and seen the window display. Our fault also we should've looked prior."
"11/23/24 @1650The restaurant was pretty empty during our entire meal. I thinkwe beat the dinner rush. We were seated right away and the staff was really friendly and attentive. We got the Miso Udon, Aji Ramen, Garlic Chicken wings and pan fried gyoza. The food came out really fast and the portions are huge. Everything was tasty and delicious. You definitely get your moneys worth."
"As I drove to Safeway I noticed a Grand Opening sign under Daiichi Ramen and realized a new ramen place has opened in its place. Welcome Rakki Ramen!I went in and the staff was super friendly and showed me their menu. Seems very much like Daiichi, roughly the same items and roughly the same price but maybe little more cause inflation. Maybe a little more selection. It's a list menu without pics so hard for me to compare without counting. My husband was already at home making meat Jun so I couldn't order a lot. I did inquire about a small pan of Gyoza which is like $39 and you get 45 pieces. As someone who makes Gyoza for my family, and given the time it takes to cut veggies, prep the mix, and fold the Gyoza and cook it.... This isn't a bad deal. The Gyoza was tasty.... But I prefer it with more ginger. But it wasn't bad. 2 six piece orders cost me $11.57 with the current promotion. I can't wait to try more!"
"Wondering around on a Tuesday night and stumbled upon this little shop. It was part of little hole in the wall little food court. Food came out quick. Spice hit my pallet. I ordered fried chicken, takoyaki, gyoza, and ordered the spicy ramen. I tried to get a bit of what I could to support the local small businesses. Overall I had enjoyed my meal.Side note: parking locally is tough. Better to walk here."
