"I ordered the meat pizza and the margherita through doordash. The bread was chewy so it was hard to get through each slice, especially the crust. There was little to none sauce on the pizza so it felt like eating chewy cheesy bread. Personally would not recommend this place for good pizza."
"Found this gem while driving along the north shore, pizza was cooked perfectly. Reminded us of NY style pizza. Thin and crispy crust. Staff was super friendly and even threw in an extra slice because the whole pizza hit the side of the oven. (I couldn't tell there was anything wrong with it.) Must try when in the area for sure!"

"Proof Social Club is such a cute bar! My friends and I love coming here to support the local drag queens... yes, they are very much LGBT friendly, and we love that! We ordered a few mimosas, along with the French Peasant (this was a meat and cheese board). The mimosas were light, fresh, and served in super cute mason jars. The meat and cheese board was arranged very nicely, and tasted amazing! My favorite was the creamy cheese on the bread, with some salami on top. Overall, great place to chill with some friends after work!"
"This place was amazing. The appetizer of scallops and fried calamari was yummy yum yum. The lasagna was temperature hot and delicious. It has thin layers of pasta made it with the layers of cheese. The pasta carbonara was amazing and yummy yum yum. Oh the lobster bisque was over the top but the sale was just average. The tiramisu was more cakey than creamy. The orange crème brûlée was very cold and flavored like orange. It expensive and I think that it is delicious but it would need to be a reason of a special occasion to go not just to have dinner."
"It appears that this little pop-up has found a real brick and mortar home at Wicked Hi Cafe up in Waialua.See their Yelp page here: https://www.yelp.com/biz/wicked-hi-cafe-waialuaPizza still amazing, but now with regular hours and no wondering where they are going to pop up that day."
"So...you start by ordering your food at the cashiers/hostess desk. After ordering you take your table number and silverware to the open table of your choosing. For the three meals and one iced latte we paid around $68 total, before tip. I didn't tip until after the meal, and why would you, no service has been rendered. We did tip after the meal. The music is about average, I could hold a conversation with my daughters if they weren't stuck on their phones. It took several minutes to get the water and iced latte we ordered. The food came out a little after the drinks. Everything tasted good, I really enjoyed the bulgogi eggs benedict, I thought the hollandaise was a touch bland but overall good. The potatoes weren't anything special, so if that's something you weigh your breakfast decisions on you might consider trying something besides the potatoes. My girls liked their respective versions of French toast. The guava French toast had a nice flavor but not overly sweet. Overall we would come back to Kayak Cafe. We usually go around the corner to Aloha Kitchen but the line was over an hour and I wanted to eat sooner. Mahalo Kayak Cafe, see you again in the future!"
"Absolutely delicious Italian food, made with heart and attention to detail. Frank always works his own truck so you get to see and/or meet the owner every time you come. All food made fresh, so food can take 15-30 minutes (call the order ahead and no wait!). Our family LOVES the mozzarella stick (which is absolutely HUGE), the meatball, spaghetti, and various pizzas. I've also tried the calzone, which was delicious but definitely a new experience for me (cheese inside only). Prices are very reasonable. Bring CASH and save a few bucks. They park in Waimanalo. Parking is right beside the truck, off the highway. Locals and tourists alike come here. Only open a few days/week, so don't miss your chance to try! My family and I will keep coming back! ENJOY!!!"
"This review is LONG OVERDUE ... so here goes!No Hu Hu- Call Magoo's! (this was part of the Magoo's jingle YEARS ago) and even after all these years, they are still around. They are located in Kaimuki on Waialae Ave. Parking is available on the streets; Waialae Ave and also in in the municipal lot with entrance on 12th and 10th Aves. The menu is exactly as I remember it to be. There are original uniforms and memorabilia from years gone by. This visit to Magoo's brought a bunch of us Yelpers together to share in some fun, pizza, chicken wings, wine and fellowship! Hana Hou yelpers and Magoo's.footnote- I think Dan O had an informal gathering here and I couldn't attend. From that time, Magoo's had been on on my mind. Thank you Dan for the suggestion back then and giving me an opportunity to round up the group"
"Love this place. I've been here three times since moving down the street a month ago. Their pizza is really good. The best part for our family is that they allow kids. Our kids love the fish and chips. So our combo is an order of fish and chips and two slices of pizza."
"Fed a three hungry kids lunch with a delicious mozzarella cheese pizza and enjoyed the Mediterranean salad! Fantastic value and the customer service was very accommodating and responsive!"
"Black Shamrock Tavern is the perfect spot for a midday escape from the office, offering a great balance of casual charm and a welcoming vibe. If it weren't a weekday work lunch, I would have indulged in their selection of craft beers, cocktails, and wines instead of just settling for a soda.To start, we ordered the Basket O' Fries. The fries were the ideal mix of crispy and golden on the outside, with a fluffy interior. They were perfectly seasoned and addictive, making it hard to stop at just one handful. The jalapeño poppers were crispy on the outside with a deliciously creamy filling that had just the right amount of heat. The poppers were the perfect balance between spicy and creamy. But the highlight of the meal had to be the pizza! The daily special featured a thin, crispy New Jersey-style crust topped with savory Italian sausage, onions, baby bella mushrooms, and fresh mozzarella. The drizzle of walnut basil pesto added a rich, nutty finish that complemented the toppings perfectly. We also tried the Joisey White Pie, which was equally delicious. The sweet corn, spinach, garlic, and ricotta came together in a wonderfully balanced medley of flavors. The sweetness of the corn played well off the creaminess of the ricotta and the bite of garlic.I'll definitely be coming back! With its inviting atmosphere, friendly and efficient service, and fantastic food, it's a great spot for both quick lunches and longer evenings spent over cocktails and beers."
"Had a great time at this bar. The food and drinks were good and the staff were friendly. Also had live entertainment."

We tried the pizza which was 7/10, fluffy crust but sort of dry with not enough toppings. The mozzarella sticks were 6/10. The winner was the pulled pork sandwich which was literally the best pulled pork I have ever had in my life. It was tender, juicy and had a ton of meat to bun ratio. I would definitely come back for the $6 pulled pork!

Proof Social Bar provides the islands a unique charm. I enjoyed it when they had food, pizza, and reasonably priced cocktails. They seem to remove the food, limit their pizza, and increase the cocktail prices. For a $15 cocktail I would expect craft cocktail quality, but many of the bartenders cocktails have a dive bar quality to them. The redeeming gem is when Nikki bartends. Her drinks have a craftsmanship quality and are consistent. It's a bummer because if the drink wasn't great I at least had good food.

Met up with some friends for dinner, my choice, everyone wanted Italian and I happen to love this restaurant at the end of Waikiki. Using the valet for the next door hotel was a breeze and just a short walk to the restaurant. Our reservations were for indoor dining but the outdoor setup is really inviting...maybe next time. Walking in, the bar is front and center but not huge. It was busy, not noisy, you could tell the patrons were having a great time. Our table for six was set up and waiting when we arrived so we received menus and bread service, water and time to peruse before ordering. About five minutes later when we were ready to order our waiter was right there to assist with questions and answers. Placing our orders we were in for a great dinner starting with appetizers, a beautiful caprese salads, mixed green salads, one soup of the day and our chosen entrees. There is absolutely no rush here. The dishes aren't being placed in front of you before you've finished a course so they can turn over the table. A relaxing dining experience. Finished with Tiramisu, sorbets, Affagado, coffee and espresso. Weather was perfect and the ambience is wonderfully inviting, you won't be disappointed whether you choose to dine inside or out. Casual or dressy you will not feel out of place.

Oh my gosh!!! You will wait for the pizza if they haven't gotten another oven at the truck, but sooooo flippin worth it. I made a mistake of eating at the other sourdough pizza place on the North Shore. Totally different!! Their crust is amazing. Flavor explosion..... come hungry, but come with patience. It's so worth the wait. I can't wait to come back to the island for this grub!!

Decided to check out Kayak Cafe after a few other places in the area were too crowded. Located right on that main intersection of Ala Moana Bl and Ena Road across the old Wailana Coffee house. Kayak Cafe is renovated and nicely furnished open air covered dining. We ordered and paid for breakfast in the front then sat ourselves and they brought the food to the table. Service was friendly and the food came out quickly. We ordered a vanilla latte, biscuits and gravy and veggie omelette. Food was pretty good and portions were good. Overall nice breakfast in Waikiki. The only negative thing is that I thought it was awkward that we paid and tipped out on our bill Before receiving any service or food. I would have preferred to pay after receiving our food and experiencing the service received. Other than that it was a pretty good breakfast!

My best friend and I finally got to try this establishment after prolonging for sooooooo long. We were greeted with smiles and aloha from both Frank and Kelly! Awesome people who make you feel welcomed and like family :)We ordered the Giant mozzarella stick, Neapolitan pizza, and meatball parm. First off, that mozzarella stick is huge! But sooooo crunchy and oozing with cheese Loved the Neapolitan pizza due to the dough having a nice, chewy texture; just wish I asked for more cheese on the pizza. But the meatball was by far our favorite! Big in size and juicy! Definitely worth the drive out to Waimanalo and portion size is more than enough! Love everything about Franks and looking forward to trying more items on their menu! Thanks for making our day off worth it :)

Lunch in Kaimuki, Honolulu, Hawaii...Magoo's Pizza is an old-school name. It was popular in the past, disappeared, and returned! What is Original Magoo's Pizza? As I walked past the sign on Waialae Avenue, I decided to try it.I had parked at a metered street stall, even though the municipal parking lot is right behind the restaurant. I entered the cool, air-conditioned, nicely decorated, cozy space and was greeted immediately by an enthusiastic employee! He was very eager to serve and asked if I was doing takeout or dine-in... Good question. I was going to do takeout, but realized that pizza tastes best fresh and hot. He showed me to a seat at the bar and suggested that I get the Baby Pizza... ok! He asked if I wanted pepperoni... ok!Then I looked at the menu. The pizza arrived quickly. I was offered some water. I declined, but he brought some anyway - thank you!He also brought a plate, napkins, and utensils. The pizza crust was thin and crisp - like a cracker! The pepperoni was a bit spicy. The cheese was ok... I sprinkled some Parmesan cheese over the top.It was a filling meal! I'm glad I tried it and dined-in!

"Since TSA is always hit or miss at HNL, I arrived what felt like 300 hours early for my flight to NYC. An empty stomach and an unhealthy fear of flying lead me to Torn Basil where I figured I'd kill two birds with one stone by getting something to eat and a wee bit intoxicated.I ordered the veggie pizza which was a white pie with mushrooms, pineapple and jalapenos. I'm not sure what the hell I was thinking ordering this pizza, but like I captioned my photo, it wasn't bad but it wasn't good.... I had a margarita to wash it down and called it a day before boarding my flight...The one standout here was actually the service. Although you can order using a QR code, the waitress was super attentive and beyond welcoming. I would never seek this place out, but in a pinch it worked AND I didn't have to hold in diarrhea on a plane so that's a win.2.5 stars for the pizza3.5 stars for the margarita 5 stars for the service"
"The cashier here tonight is super friendly, polite, fast, efficient and helpful. Excellent customer service!"
"I've always been curious about Skybox Taphouse when visiting the International Mktplace. This time, we wanted to try a new restaurant and was nearby to Skybox. We perused the menu which is displayed at the front podium outside and with the food pictures, seemed interesting enough to give it a try. We were seated at a large booth next to open windows which overlook out to the courtyard. Our server appeared very quickly and asked if we wanted to order drinks. Instead, we ordered the calamari and mini pizza which is part of the happy hour menu. I like it that they serve iced water in large plastic cups. It was want was presented after that shocked me. The server brought over two large paper plates and silverware wrapped in napkins. For a moment, I reverted back to CoVid days when many eateries were choosing to do disposable vs real serving ware. But the real silver fork and knife negated that. The appetizers came very fast and the calamari was very small pieces of calamari that was probably undersized and sad before they breaded it and fried it. It turned out even sadder with a big sad face : ( Even with the HH price it was still $15 and not worth the price. The pizza was a plain cheese pizza with some pepperoni. Crust was soft and soggy from the heavy cheese. We also had the wagyu burger and chicken pasta. The burger was two meat patties with some small piece of lettuce and fried onions smothered in cheese. Fair burger but with fries and at $22, probably in the same class as other Waikiki eateries. The pasta was a penne type in a fair decent size bowl with two small pieces of toasted bread. This was also fair and it was more quantity than quality. This place is a sports bar/eatery with TV's mounted at every turn of your head. Probably a good place to spend some time watching some games with drinks but the food needs improvement. That paper plates needs to also go."
"This place is great! My favorite pizza is the Puaa/Meat Lovers and I also enjoy the meatballs which are served in their delicious tomato sauce and with some cheesy bread. And when dining in, I am always thankful for the sink in the middle of all the tables!Service is always great and it's easy to park around back in the lot."
"Cool little order window inside Bar 35. They serve it up on a wooden pizza paddle, cut into slices, lengthwise. Great thin crust, with just the right amount of toppings. I tried the Italian sausage, and the one w/ prosciutto. Definitely want to try the Thai chicken next time. Just brought it out back to the patio and enjoyed with a cold beer. You can also order from the waitress or the bartender, and they'll bring it to you."
"Bar35 is a whole vibe. I came in the on a Saturday night during Happy Hour and they offer amazing deals on drinks. I have yet to try their food but I definitely will next time. My favorite cocktail was Miss Chinatown. Shoutout to the bartender for being so sweet."
"Where at the Honolulu airport can one meal feed two starving adults? .We had gotten up at 530am to catch a 730am Uber to San Francisco Airport for a 945am flight to Honolulu. Arrived at 145pm Honolulu time or 345pm California time having had only a breakfast bowl on Alaska Airlines. Two starving adults. Line at the Lahaina chicken at Honolulu airport. Needed to keep my blood sugar from spiking, so no corn, no white rice, no mashed potatoes, and no fried chicken. Ordered the $18.99 roast pork combo, with green beans, peas-carrots, and salad, with ranch dressing, for the wife and I.Service is immediate, as all vegetables sitting in vats of hot water, with the meat on the cutting board. You go through a line at the counter, picking out your food as you go. No table service. The green beans were tasteless, and on the mushy side, sitting too long in the hot water vat, and needed some salt. Cooked Green Giant canned green beans would have been an improvement. The peas-carrots were decent, temperature hot, firm and tasty. Salad was fresh and not wilted. The pork was warm, tender, tasty and delicious, with minimal grist and minimal fat. About the same price as the Ala Moana branch of Lahaina Chicken, so minimal airport surcharge.Didn't order any rotisserie chicken as we would be catching a 345pm flight to Lihue Kauai, picking up our rental car by 545pm, stopping by for a 48 oz $4.99 Costco chicken at around 615pm, before arriving at our timeshare in Poipu Kauai to eat at 7pm, or 9pm California time. The Longest Day."
"I would def recommend coming here We got mozzarella sticks, cucumber salad, and kimchi pork belly pizza, a screw driver, and mezcalita! Mozz sticks: 7/10, very sweet but good. I wish they came out hotter, but Just a personal preference. Cucumber: 9/10 very dressing and delicious would def get again Kimchi ZA: 8.5/10 great rich flavor, I would def get again! I wish there was a little more cheese but again that's a personal preference Screwy: good Mezcalita: good and Smokey my roomie got two so it was worth a second round For 3 drinks and 3 food it was 87 before tip Oh and tip 20% because I said so The inside was air conditioned and cute and fun music"
"Nicole, our server, was terrific, and Linda, the hostess, gave us the warmest welcome and suggested some popular items to order. Menu was extensive and food was on point. Full bar in the biggity back too! Would HIGHLY recommend."
"We enjoy coming here. Food is good and service is excellent. Plenty parking too. Only downside is bread is not all you can eat, at most Italian restaurants they are. We were a party of 10 and they gave us 2 little loafs to share. Definitely not enough for 10 people. Also bar menu pupus are not available at the restaurant. My chicken Marsala is my go to. Love it"
"Best donuts! Auntie glory and auntie grace bake all of the items with love! Whatever they're getting paid- double that! You can't beat their baking!"
"If you are looking for good pizza when you are in Waikiki. Whether just a slice or the entire pie. Try Slice of Waikiki. They have great pizza. For a whole pie, you can get it half and half with different toppings. They are located outside to the left of the Waikiki Malia by Outrigger. Look for the pizza window. Legit NY style pizzas. Super friendly staff and pizzas are made fresh to order, taking about 20 minutes.Open daily from 11am to 10pm."
"Could not recommend this place highly enough! We went during Happy Hour - best value for your money. Deals on drinks, apps (half off), and pizza. Enjoyed the wings, Mai Tais, fries, Caesar salad, and mushroom pizza. Go during HH - you'll be so glad!"
"Brick Fire Tavern in Kaimuki doesn't just make pizza; they craft something soulful, and their Funghi Mushroom Pizza is proof. It's a study in balance--earthy mushrooms meet creamy mozzarella on a crust that's blistered to perfection in a wood-fired oven. The simplicity is striking, letting the quality of the ingredients and the mastery of technique shine. Every bite feels like a conversation between comfort and indulgence, the kind of pizza that makes you slow down and savor. It's not just a meal; it's a moment, and one you'll want to return to again and again."
"Always friendly staff. So patient with the kids. I personally would not have the patience to work the ticket redemption counter! Much respect to all the employees. Salad bar is always clean whenever we come by and well stocked. Much prefer this salad bar to the Pearl City location."
"You definitely know when you're eating a pizza from Pizza Hut. Absolutely delicious and delivery was right on time."
"Seeing some of the foods being made was a great experience. The lively environment dining outdoor was the perfect way to end our time in Hawai'i. It was so satisfying to watch the cheese melt.Arben listened to our requests to make changes to our dishes. Thank you."
"This is definitely a must try in my book! We learned of today's soft opening for Allegrini Waikiki and decided to check it out, after experiencing their downtown location. It's located in the Waikiki Food Hall, Building C of the Royal Hawaiian Center (RHC). Currently there's a limited menu during the soft opening, so we opted for the La Bomba pizza and tiramisu. Highly recommend both. My better half raved about the pizza, particularly the freshness and quality of the proscuitto, marinara sauce, burrata, arrugula, perfectly complemented with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Go see Loa'a and Pasquale at their second location. There's validated parking in RHC structure, with minimum $10 purchase. Kamaaina and military with valid ID can get up to 3 hours validation at Helumua Hale Guest Services on 1st level."
"I heard a lot of good things about this restaurant from co-workers. I've always driven past it but never stopped for a bite until recently. I wanted to eat some Italian food but wasn't sure what I wanted and remembered Amina's offered a selection of pizza, pastas, sandwiches and salads. They are located one block mauka of Kapiolani Boulevard at the corner of Kalakaua Avenue and Fern Street. Parking wasn't a problem as there is a lot on the back of the building or on the street. The restaurant itself is small with limited tables to dine in. After checking the menu, I decided on the lasagna. My order was ready in 10 minutes. The portion was just right. The ricotta and marinara sauce complimented the noodles and ground beef nicely.I also ordered a slice of cheesecake which was also good. I'm not sure if they make it in-house or order it from somewhere else but it wasn't heavy as some cheesecake can be.I will definitely be back to try their pizzas and sandwiches!"
"Yummy yummy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wanted to try the calzone but didn't have time"
"The good, bad, and the ugly The good - 1. Very friendly cashier, and she was the one who cleaned the tables and checked on us twice. 2. Delicious pizza at a reasonable price 3. Clean location with the exception of the "party room" as it was partially used for storage. The bad - 1. Incorrect order, but that was corrected by the cashier immediately 2. Partially burnt one of three pizzas. By this time, I was actually over it and just didn't say anything. The Ugly- 1. Being forced to leave a 20% tip on a larger party. Tips are earned and not just given. 2. Getting charged the tip, not on the subtotal but after tax. Yep, only some change, but it's the principal of the matter. 3. Sat in the "party room," which I now call the "Oh someone there room?"4. Don't feel like the $34 mandatory tip was earned. 5. Spoke to the MOD, aka Manager, on duty today, but when the call was over, it left me thinking if he actually heard what I said. Will we go back? Yeah. Will we dine in HECK NO. Will I have any events there? Nope."
"Looking for some good tasting pizza in Kapolei. One notable spot is Brick Oven Pizza. They use high-quality ingredients and the traditional crust making method, which contribute to their delicious crispy crust. Give your pizza a minute or two to cool down and you won't encounter a slice that's too floppy to handle with just one hand. Enjoy!Received great service too! Much Mahalo!"
"I'm visiting from Los Angeles and we were so happy there is one in HNL. It's our favorite pizza from Manila so we definitely had to stop by here. We got an 18" New York's Finest, cut 16 pieces, Charlie Chan pasta and garlic parmesan wings. Everything tasted great and exactly the same as in Manila. The service was quick and kind as well. We plan to eat here again prior to going back to LA."
