"Proof Social Club is such a cute bar! My friends and I love coming here to support the local drag queens... yes, they are very much LGBT friendly, and we love that! We ordered a few mimosas, along with the French Peasant (this was a meat and cheese board). The mimosas were light, fresh, and served in super cute mason jars. The meat and cheese board was arranged very nicely, and tasted amazing! My favorite was the creamy cheese on the bread, with some salami on top. Overall, great place to chill with some friends after work!"

"This place was amazing. The appetizer of scallops and fried calamari was yummy yum yum. The lasagna was temperature hot and delicious. It has thin layers of pasta made it with the layers of cheese. The pasta carbonara was amazing and yummy yum yum. Oh the lobster bisque was over the top but the sale was just average. The tiramisu was more cakey than creamy. The orange crème brûlée was very cold and flavored like orange. It expensive and I think that it is delicious but it would need to be a reason of a special occasion to go not just to have dinner."

"So...you start by ordering your food at the cashiers/hostess desk. After ordering you take your table number and silverware to the open table of your choosing. For the three meals and one iced latte we paid around $68 total, before tip. I didn't tip until after the meal, and why would you, no service has been rendered. We did tip after the meal.The music is about average, I could hold a conversation with my daughters if they weren't stuck on their phones. It took several minutes to get the water and iced latte we ordered. The food came out a little after the drinks. Everything tasted good, I really enjoyed the bulgogi eggs benedict, I thought the hollandaise was a touch bland but overall good. The potatoes weren't anything special, so if that's something you weigh your breakfast decisions on you might consider trying something besides the potatoes. My girls liked their respective versions of French toast. The guava French toast had a nice flavor but not overly sweet. Overall we would come back to Kayak Cafe. We usually go around the corner to Aloha Kitchen but the line was over an hour and I wanted to eat sooner. Mahalo Kayak Cafe, see you again in the future!"

"Absolutely delicious Italian food, made with heart and attention to detail. Frank always works his own truck so you get to see and/or meet the owner every time you come. All food made fresh, so food can take 15-30 minutes (call the order ahead and no wait!). Our family LOVES the mozzarella stick (which is absolutely HUGE), the meatball, spaghetti, and various pizzas. I've also tried the calzone, which was delicious but definitely a new experience for me (cheese inside only). Prices are very reasonable. Bring CASH and save a few bucks. They park in Waimanalo. Parking is right beside the truck, off the highway. Locals and tourists alike come here. Only open a few days/week, so don't miss your chance to try! My family and I will keep coming back! ENJOY!!!"

(this was part of the Magoo's jingle YEARS ago) and even after all these years, they are still around.They are located in Kaimuki on Waialae Ave. Parking is available on the streets; Waialae Ave and also in in the municipal lot with entrance on 12th and 10th Aves.The menu is exactly as I remember it to be. There are original uniforms and memorabilia from years gone by. This visit to Magoo's brought a bunch of us Yelpers together to share in some fun, pizza, chicken wings, wine and fellowship! Hana Hou yelpers and Magoo's.footnote- I think Dan O had an informal gathering here and I couldn't attend. From that time, Magoo's had been on on my mind. The poppers were the perfect balance between spicy and creamy.But the highlight of the meal had to be the pizza! The daily special featured a thin, crispy New Jersey-style crust topped with savory Italian sausage, onions, baby bella mushrooms, and fresh mozzarella. The drizzle of walnut basil pesto added a rich, nutty finish that complemented the toppings perfectly.We also tried the Joisey White Pie, which was equally delicious. "Since TSA is always hit or miss at HNL, I arrived what felt like 300 hours early for my flight to NYC. An empty stomach and an unhealthy fear of flying lead me to Torn Basil where I figured I'd kill two birds with one stone by getting something to eat and a wee bit intoxicated.I ordered the veggie pizza which was a white pie with mushrooms, pineapple and jalapenos. I'm not sure what the hell I was thinking ordering this pizza, but like I captioned my photo, it wasn't bad but it wasn't good.... I had a margarita to wash it down and called it a day before boarding my flight...The one standout here was actually the service. Although you can order using a QR code, the waitress was super attentive and beyond welcoming. I would never seek this place out, but in a pinch it worked AND I didn't have to hold in diarrhea on a plane so that's a win.2.5 stars for the pizza3.5 stars for the margarita 5 stars for the service"

"I've always been curious about Skybox Taphouse when visiting the International Mktplace. This time, we wanted to try a new restaurant and was nearby to Skybox. We perused the menu which is displayed at the front podium outside and with the food pictures, seemed interesting enough to give it a try. We were seated at a large booth next to open windows which overlook out to the courtyard. Our server appeared very quickly and asked if we wanted to order drinks. Instead, we ordered the calamari and mini pizza which is part of the happy hour menu. I like it that they serve iced water in large plastic cups. It was want was presented after that shocked me. The server brought over two large paper plates and silverware wrapped in napkins. For a moment, I reverted back to CoVid days when many eateries were choosing to do disposable vs real serving ware. But the real silver fork and knife negated that. The appetizers came very fast and the calamari was very small pieces of calamari that was probably undersized and sad before they breaded it and fried it. It turned out even sadder with a big sad face : ( Even with the HH price it was still $15 and not worth the price. The pizza was a plain cheese pizza with some pepperoni. Crust was soft and soggy from the heavy cheese. We also had the wagyu burger and chicken pasta. The burger was two meat patties with some small piece of lettuce and fried onions smothered in cheese. Fair burger but with fries and at $22, probably in the same class as other Waikiki eateries. The pasta was a penne type in a fair decent size bowl with two small pieces of toasted bread. This was also fair and it was more quantity than quality. This place is a sports bar/eatery with TV's mounted at every turn of your head. Probably a good place to spend some time watching some games with drinks but the food needs improvement. That paper plates needs to also go."

Arrived at 145pm Honolulu time or 345pm California time having had only a breakfast bowl on Alaska Airlines. Two starving adults. Line at the Lahaina chicken at Honolulu airport. Needed to keep my blood sugar from spiking, so no corn, no white rice, no mashed potatoes, and no fried chicken. Ordered the $18.99 roast pork combo, with green beans, peas-carrots, and salad, with ranch dressing, for the wife and I.Service is immediate, as all vegetables sitting in vats of hot water, with the meat on the cutting board. You go through a line at the counter, picking out your food as you go. No table service. The green beans were tasteless, and on the mushy side, sitting too long in the hot water vat, and needed some salt. Cooked Green Giant canned green beans would have been an improvement.The peas-carrots were decent, temperature hot, firm and tasty. Salad was fresh and not wilted. The pork was warm, tender, tasty and delicious, with minimal grist and minimal fat. About the same price as the Ala Moana branch of Lahaina Chicken, so minimal airport surcharge.Didn't order any rotisserie chicken as we would be catching a 345pm flight to Lihue Kauai, picking up our rental car by 545pm, stopping by for a 48 oz $4.99 Costco chicken at around 615pm, before arriving at our timeshare in Poipu Kauai to eat at 7pm, or 9pm California time. The Longest Day."

Currently there's a limited menu during the soft opening, so we opted for the La Bomba pizza and tiramisu. Highly recommend both. My better half raved about the pizza, particularly the freshness and quality of the proscuitto, marinara sauce, burrata, arrugula, perfectly complemented with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Go see Loa'a and Pasquale at their second location.There's validated parking in RHC structure, with minimum $10 purchase. Kamaaina and military with valid ID can get up to 3 hours validation at Helumua Hale Guest Services on 1st level."

Parking wasn't a problem as there is a lot on the back of the building or on the street. The restaurant itself is small with limited tables to dine in. After checking the menu, I decided on the lasagna. My order was ready in 10 minutes. The portion was just right. The ricotta and marinara sauce complimented the noodles and ground beef nicely.I also ordered a slice of cheesecake which was also good. I'm not sure if they make it in-house or order it from somewhere else but it wasn't heavy as some cheesecake can be.I will definitely be back to try their pizzas and sandwiches!"

Clean location with the exception of the "party room" as it was partially used for storage. The bad - 1. Incorrect order, but that was corrected by the cashier immediately 2. Partially burnt one of three pizzas. By this time, I was actually over it and just didn't say anything. The Ugly- 1. Being forced to leave a 20% tip on a larger party. Tips are earned and not just given. 2. Getting charged the tip, not on the subtotal but after tax. Yep, only some change, but it's the principal of the matter. 3. Sat in the "party room," which I now call the "Oh someone there room?"4. Don't feel like the $34 mandatory tip was earned. 5. Spoke to the MOD, aka Manager, on duty today, but when the call was over, it left me thinking if he actually heard what I said. Will we go back? Yeah. Will we dine in HECK NO. Will I have any events there? Nope."

"I'm visiting from Los Angeles and we were so happy there is one in HNL. It's our favorite pizza from Manila so we definitely had to stop by here. We got an 18" New York's Finest, cut 16 pieces, Charlie Chan pasta and garlic parmesan wings. Everything tasted great and exactly the same as in Manila. The service was quick and kind as well. We plan to eat here again prior to going back to LA."
