"What can I say except the whole experience was just fantastic. From booking, crafting the menu, and then eating said menu, the whole experience was pretty stress free. My friend and I wanted to have a special birthday dinner for our hubs, so we scheduled them on a Sunday night. We provided one main dish which they then crafted a wonderful, balanced menu to complement. They are arrived on time with everything they needed and even though we didn't ask for any special decorations, the simple place settings were a lovely addition and really elevated the whole experience. Dinner started with an arancini crab cake (le amuse bouche). Buttery crab rolled into a crispy ball with a hint of yuzu to awaken the palate. Truly a unique dish the entire party enjoyed.First course was my favorite and consisted of Kona kanpachi carpaccio. Oh my sweet little tastebuds danced for joy as this was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Crispy garlic added a fun crunch, but the magical melding of the flavors in the sauce made everything just melt in your mouth.Second course was a ribeye ochazuke with a mushroom risotto that was so rich and flavorful it almost felt like it hugged your tongue and whispered sweet nothings as you chewed. We opted to upgrade the beef to wagyu so it was beautiful and as someone who doesn't eat red meat, I swapped for scallops. The ribeye was hella tender and the scallops were sheer perfection.A brief intermezzo of li hing calamansi sorbet cleansed the palate and signaled to our stomach to get ready for an onslaught of flavors.The main entree was beef Wellington (ahi Wellington for me) with a potato gratin that was a rich foundation. Everything was cooked to perfection on site, and they even provided a bit of background into their home garden which provides for the herbs and veggies used in most of the dishes. Anyone who knows me, knows I love locally sourced foods (I even buy big island beef for my dog's food), so this was a much appreciated addition.Dessert concluded the meal and while I was sad it was over, the sticky toffee pudding with toasted marshmallow ice cream sent me to cloud 9! If you want to make a special memory for any occasion, book them ASAP! You won't regret it. Chef Kevin and his fiancée are so kind and warm, it felt like family cooking for us. Even though they offer sommelier services, as a practicing oenophile, I crafted the pairings for our party and if I say so myself, I killed it. Looking at the pictures from other events, their decorations are classy and tasteful. Next time we will definitely include more courses and perhaps may splurge on a specially crafted cocktail."

Just like I said in my welcome speech - Memoirs delivered on amazing Michelin level food and kept the drinks flowing at the bar all night long!!! So many friends and family told us it was the best wedding food they've ever had. WOW! One of my best friends had always wanted to go to Italy-I couldn't afford to take her to Italy, but I could let her enjoy an authentic Italian dinner here in Hawaii-I had contacted several Italian restaurants, and they either could not accommodate us, or didn't offer the atmosphere and quality I was looking for.I found Conny and sent her a message.She was super accommodating, visited my house to see if my kitchen/dining area would work for her.She sent me a menu and walked me thru the process- was very helpful with decorating ideas and set up.The day of, she showed up at my house with all of her supplies. The house smelled amazing. The food was so fresh and beautifully prepared and served.I can't say enough about how fantastic the night turned out.Two thumbs WAAY way up!!Thank you so much Conny

I needed to find a caterer for our company lunch event. Thanks to all of your reviews, I found Angela. I had a frugal budget to work with and a variety of dietary needs that needed to be met AND needed this to be delivered to our office. I put in a quote request and Yelp offers to submit the same request to other vendors at the same time. That was great! Out of the 4 requests that went out, she was the only one who accepted to work with my parameters. Just as all the other reviewers stated, she does not disappoint. She managed to find a menu that fit everything we needed. Being in downtown, our office was getting bored with the typical office lunch food that delivered in the area. Angela definitely shook it up with the meal we had yesterday! For our daughter's wedding/family vacation in December, we chose to simplify, free up our time and hired 'On The Fly' private chefs Jason, Ryan and Davin to prepare our meals at our rental vacation house. Before we left Oregon we had planned adult & children meals. Our arrival, we were greeted by 3 energetic, excited Chefs who welcomed us as if we were old friends, we engaged in conversation and we enjoyed their presence in the kitchen. Each meal was exciting & presented as a piece of delicious art. These guys anticipated our activity and prepared the unexpected picnic lunch with us for the wedding on the beach. The wedding dinner was a class act presentation in the comfort of our home. We enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinners served by these 3 amazing Chefs and support staff, we want to thank them for the wonderful experience. I surely will do it again. :)

What a treat it was to have Luis cater my 50th birthday. It was 10 years ago that he was recommended to me and it was my 40th birthday and his food was incredible. We didn't know Luis had started up his new business. I thought he had disappeared after the whole Luis Bueno fiasco. So glad I looked for him and that he was able to cook for my 50th. Luis knocked it out of the park! Everything was delicious! We had carnitas, carne asade, fish tacos, chipotle, red, verde salsa, queso fresca, ceviche, homemade corn tortillas, chips and guacamole, and of course, Luis' famous refried beans. I hope to get him to cook for us again. It will definitely be sooner than 10 years from now :)

If you are looking for an incredibly special evening filled with the most amazing food- call The Guarden!First class all the way.Their schedule fills up quickly, so look at your calendar for this year and plan ahead for a very unique and memorable night. Don't freak out over the prices!!! If you were to go out to a nice steakhouse and also drink your fill of drinks, your per person amount would be much higher than their prices. You choose your location and can be your own bar so you can just sit back and let them do their cooking magic!Don't think you need to find a fancy place to have this dinner. They can make ANY space feel very very special! they bring everything, including the table to make the event top notch!From the first contact, you are treated wonderfully. You help in deciding the menu theme for your dinner and they do the rest.The food is just amazing. It is food that I personally would never would have had the opportunity to try.I have enjoyed two of their dinners and both were great!Would highly recommend!!

"BLEW US AWAY!!! Rented a beach house for 10 ion North Shore. Found John on line. Took a chance. Right from there he was great! Helpful tips about the area and such. Came over and served one of the best meals we had ever had! Tuna and sushi aps from market Fresh fish caught that day. Chicken, beef with chi churri I still dream about! We had him back 3 days later for 40 people!! Even better. Made Hawaiian pork that was CRAZY good! Pro, Nice, Regionally spot on, cleaned up, put away left overs..... A Dream! "We hired Kanani to cook for our family vacation. We had a group of 18 adults and children. He helped us plan menus, shopped and prepared 8-9 course meals every night. Special dietary needs and kid palettes were accomodated and all were satisfied. The meals were all delicious and beautifully presented. His staff served and cleaned up. They really allowed us to enjoy our vacation and take advantage of every moment together. Although he had an emergency one night, he was very professional. He made arrangements for another chef to come cook for us the night he was away and we had no stress and no interruptions. We would highly recommend Hale Aina caterers and would hire them again."
"Yum! Grabbed a quick bite from their food truck during Black Friday at Pearlridge mall. The entire menu sounded pretty good, but I settled on the bulgogi bao buns. 3 for $12. Delicious!! "My lunch pal and I were going somewhere else to dine when the new addition to our group pointed out that the chosen place was closed on Mondays. Quickly, I had to go to Plan B, ...and EAT was it! It used to be the Gentry Pacific Design Center. It's located between KMart and City Mill on Nimitz Highway, across from the new Liliha Bakery.There's free parking! There's no air conditioning - but no need because there's good ventilation between the businesses. There are ceiling fans and a nice breeze. Just go up to the counter and order. They'll call your name when the food is ready.Two of my friends got the regular burgers. I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty the patty was! I got the Soft Shell Crab sandwich - it was boring in comparison to the Surf & Turf Burger!! This is THE winner! When I bit into that TALL creation, I had a hard time going back to my plain crab sandwich. OOH WEE! Who would have thought that hamburger and soft shell crab tastes so GREAT together? Add the toasted bun and special Chili Aioli sauce and you can't let go! WOW!!!After my friends left to do errands, I had returned to get the Pineapple Li Hing flavor Ono Pop - (don't tell them)! It wasn't too sour and it wasn't too sweet. It's super good! I enjoyed biting into the little bits of pineapple pulp - yum!! So refreshing on a hot, summer day!! "We were looking for someone who would cater our wedding at a secluded beach on Labor day weekend and found Course on IG as they have done some great work and they had great reviews on yelp as well. They have even worked for celebrities such as the Rock. The reason why is that Chef Andrew and his team are absolutely fantastic! We had a party of about 70 guests, and the Course team helped serve all the food and drinks. Everyone praised their professionalism and great attitude throughout the night and to this day. Best of all, everyone is still raving about the food. Some people have told me that "it was the best wedding food they have ever had." The appetizers were sliders and garlic shrimp. The short rib and fresh white fish were showstopper entrees and all the sides garlic noodles, rice, potatoes and veggies really completed the meal! Chef Andrew also offers a oyster bar and that was a huge hit! FYI order more than less as folks were destroying these oysters and Chef was putting in work shucking them to order. We really wanted to thank Course for making our special day extremely successful and would definitely recommend them to anyone hosting an event in Oahu!"

We did a bit of research and drooled all over the food pics.He was the one and we did not want to work with anyone else. We knew that having an out of state wedding would be a coordination nightmare so we reached out several months in advanced. He was very communicative and we both reached out to each other at the right time as we got closer to the wedding. (I honestly don't know what the 1 star review was about because we did not have this experience) He was really flexible with us for slight menu changes and updates to the head count throughout the process.We wanted this to be more intimate since it was just family and man did Chef John and his team deliver. Everyone was so impressed that they get to experience a professional chef cook on the spot, his team was so attentive and the attention to detail was very impressive. "We've used Chef Robee in two ways: delivering meals for us at home, and catering events. In both respects she's easy to work with and does extremely high-quality work. Recently we did an evening event for 20 people where she prepared a main course and appetizers that we could eat while standing and socializing. Everything was done perfectly, including our evacuation into the house when it rained, which she handled effortlessly.Robee also does a regular business of delivering meals, and the quality of her cooking is truly exceptional.
