"Purchased the half-day single kayak rental for 2 through Groupon, and called to book my reservation. I arrived at 9am on 10/5/19 and the guy working was super cool and helpful. He suggested routes we can take, and explained conditions and rules for the islands. If you want to stop on the protected islands, they charge $3 a person. The half day rental is for 4 hours, which was plenty of time. He helped us load the car with the kayaks and strap them on. It's not as hard as it looks! I was able to put them back on with my boyfriend when we were done kayaking. We drove down to Kailua Beach and parking was easy to find (it was still early in the morning).From there, we walked the kayaks out to the ocean and made sure we had everything we needed. I brought a towel which I don't recommend because it was soaking wet after. Bring water, wear a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. I wore a mini backpack that had my phone/wallet in a ziploc bag. We first went to the seabird sanctuary island, and docked there to walk around and chill. We saw many crabs there! After, we kayaked to Lanikai beach. We saw sea turtles out there which was awesome! We decided to skip on the Mokes since we were pretty tired at that point and wanted some time to swim in the ocean, which is exactly what we did before heading back! This is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island so I highly recommend kayaking there. Thank you Windward for the awesome experience!"

We have been to Oahu many times but this is the first time canoeing! I was a little nervous b/c I am not a good swimmer but Lisa was very comforting on the phone and assured me that the water is calmed and with a life jacket, I would be ok . I was also worried that being on the water so long that it made me sick but I decided to give It try and boy am I glad I did! Nobe, our tour guide was not only entertaining but he was also educational. He shared with us the history of Hawaii and even a little about his family. This made the trip special. Canoeing is a team sport and everyone gets to help out. The view from the canoe was awesome! Even our teenagers smile and that is priceless! Special thanks to Sasha for being so helpful and sweet!

Friendly staff and good equipment! We wanted to rent on Sunday to go to Kaneohe. Unfortunately, most places are closed on Sunday, but not Windward! We called day of to confirm we are able to go to the sand bar on a Sunday. He had a few kayaks left and suggested we reserve it ASAP.We showed up at 10:15 to get our 2 tandem kayaks. Jeff and another employee helped us load it onto the top of our Nissan Altima, taught us how to load it, and told us where to park to get to the sand bar. We were off within 15 minutes.The kayaks are a lot heavier than I expected. They mounted them with ease but it was much harder for us to do on our own. It isn't hard in terms of the order to do everything or how to do it, but it was hard just because it is heavy.Overall I'd rent from here again as long as you have strong people to carry the kayaks. The rental for Kaneohe sand bar must be a full day rental (we used about 4.5 hours but would have felt rushed to get it back in 4 hours). It includes an anchor as well. It was $75 per tandem kayak + tax for us.

"Jimmy and his wife were extremely kind throughout the lesson. Jimmy was a great instructor and my friends and I were easily able to learn how to surf for the first time. Truly was a fantastic experience, and having all those free photos and videos of us riding the waves was a plus!
