"Outstanding! Right off the plane we find this gem hidden next to the movies. Duck fat fried rice got me in the door and the shrimp made me eat till it hurt. Great service staff and the food was delivered quick. Loved the sports bar look while we watched the NFL games. Overall a great find and we'd definitely come back!"
"We've enjoyed Tango for years now; they've been a fixture on the Honolulu dining scene, and even after the original chef retired, they've kept their standards and quality just as high as before. They offer monthly prixe fix menus and happy hour specials. They also have a great brunch menu. We were lucky enough to catch this option on New Year's Eve. Ms. K had the lobster benedict ($29), which was simply amazing - a generous portion of lobster on toast with a large serving of potatoes on the side. She said it was probably the best lobster benedict she's ever had.I opted for the Braised Beef Loco Moco hearty chunks of braised shortribs over fried rice, topped with tasty brown gravy and two eggs any style. This was also excellent, although not quite as good as the lobster bene."

"For kanaka, a simple and ono option. What moved me and my Ohana, was one of the family Wahine, took the time to listen to an patron. She had been very mindful of the rest of the floor, but there was a moment where I noticed she was showing malama to a man that came by himself and in his elder years. It might seem minor to some but for our kanaka and our culture to still thrive and express in the "capitalist" mentality we are in. It was such a good feeling. Mahalo. Mahalo. Mahalo!!!"
"We went to Cafe Morey's this past Sunday.Food was terrific! Nice cafe and quant place. And the service and staff were very friendly and pleasant! We will be a regular here!!!"
"Our server, Aiko was amazing. She took care of our party of 4 and was very efficient at her job. We really appreciated her timeliness and attentiveness. For starters, we ordered the Crispy Shrimp(7/10), Kalbi (10/10), & Poke Nachos (4/10) My nephew had the keiki cheeseburger meal and he loved their fries. Super thin, lite and crispy! I ordered the 604 bento (10/10) it came with fried noodles, rice, garlic chicken and mac salad. The whole bento was mayjah but the best part was hands down the fried noodles . We also got the pulled pork tacos (7/10) & a 604 breakfast plate (choice of eggs, meat and starch) the outdoor patio seating was actually really nice. It's a spacious area that overlooks the 10th hole as well as a side view of the driving range. There was a private party area also located outdoors and it looked good for a party of 30-50 ppl give or take. The best part about seating outside was the refreshing cool trade winds. There was also a stage area for live bands and a decent size for a dance floor."
"We tried this place and the fish was fresh and delicious! Fish and chips was meeting expectations and snapper Cajun style exceeded expectations! I would go back regularly for the fresh fish and clean environment. Parking nearby or street parking."
"27/28 June 2024 .. sort of a blog.I arrived in Honolulu/Waikiki. It was late, but I but I decided to go for a walk and look see if anything was still open.I visit Waikiki once a year, and I have walked past Kelly O'Neil's many times during the day. It looks nice -- but not special. I suppose the place really comes alive at night--maybe because last call is 3:30am.On this evening, there was a good mix of clientele (mostly locals, with some visiting military and tourist) of different ages. There was live music, and the band had a diverse play list."

Always a hit with the family. We first got turned into DB grill many years ago. It was the go to place for lunch. Everyone loved it so much, we had DB grill cater a huge promotion party. Fast forward almost 5 years later and it's still just as great! Granted, we've only been ONCE "after hours" which was fun and full of sake, food and laughs! More often - we are an early bird dinner crowd. Draft beer options are typical. The Bulgogi tacos are a consistent menu choice. As is the duck fat fried rice. Oh, and cannot forget the crispy Mandoo. Your meal isn't complete without. Overall, this is a great option for locally inspired food with an Asian twist.

Date: 12/31/24Time: 12:00pmWhat they got right: Quality of food, friendly service, and menu selection. And free parking!Areas for improvement: Can't think of any at the moment.Recommend? YesI ordered the Lobster Benedict and it was in my Top 5 Best Dishes of 2024! OMG! This dish was heavenly! Butter poached lobster meat (no fillers) atop focaccia, topped with a perfectly poached egg and drizzled with Hollandaise. I was blown away ... Hubby ordered Braised Beef Loco Moco thought it was good but the texture of the meat was uneven. Some bits were chewy while others were tender. Overall he would order it again.I look forward to treating myself to another special menu at Tango in 2025!

Just the feel of the place when you walk in is so welcoming! We finally made it for breakfast and will be going back soon because I NEEED to try the Chantilly pancakes. I didn't notice it until after I ordered... should have just order it but that's ok...next time ....haha. I think I was distracted a little cause Kapena was the next table over and of course hes so respectful said aloha as he was leaving. Good food...plenty parking and extra on the aloha. Love it

Hubby & I have dined here more than a handful of times for Pau Hana drinks & pupus, but this past weekend was the first time we tried brunch. We pass by on the back-roads going to Kapolei and there's a giant banner that advertises "Hawaii's Best Bloody Mary." I had to stop by to try it for myself, and boy were they right!Holy smokes! The Bloody Mary was loaded! It came with smoked meat, cheese cube, jumbo prawn, pineapple, celery, lime, pickled onion, grape tomato, pepperoncini, olive, and pickled green bean. It was basically a snack before our real breakfast arrived lol. For our meals we ordered Firecracker Chicken Hash Bowl and Biscuits & Gravy with a side of sausages. The food was delicious. I can't believe how underrated this spot is for brunch, I almost want to gatekeep it so it doesn't get too crowded on weekends for us, but here I am, sharing what an amazing experience we had. Our server was very attentive and friendly, as with our past experiences there. Everyone is always warm and welcoming. On a side note, it looks like you can host events there. They had the outside tent area set up for what looked like maybe a baby shower? I would definitely look into holding a party there in the future.

Great fish, fast and friendly service. Order at the counter and take your number to a table of your choice. The food will be brought to you fast by a friendly staff member. A little pricey, but portions are huge: consider splitting! Beer, wine, cocktails available. Ambiance is quite casual and low-key.

Trivia night. Thought it would be boring, but pleasantly surprised our server Roz was amazing it was busy but she made sure we were taken cared of in a timely fashion. We asked her if she was overwhelmed and was surprised to hear her say not at all I have great team mates we all help rather then have someone fall behind that's what we do. She said it so matter of fact. What a great night the Fish Tacos were amazing and hot not cold we will be back thank you Roz for a memorable evening.10 s to you Roz, see you sooner then later!!

"This place used to be a downstairs bar/ food establishment that we loved! We arrived today to find out it's now at Tequila bar downstairs with limited food, and that the same owner opened up a new place upstairs still called Tropics. I recommend going upstairs more food choices and also looks like a sports bar. The girl that served us was wonderful too."
"Excellent customer service! We were asked to check in at the front of the restaurant when we arrived, and were brought to our table shortly after. Breakfast ended at 10:30am but since we arrived at 10:33am, we were given the breakfast and brunch menu. I ordered the two eggs breakfast with a hamburger patty as my meat, and I substituted the rice for a roasted macadamia nut pancake. Since the pancake was a specialty pancake, there was a slight up charge for it. My husband ended up getting the Teri hamburger steak plate that came with fried rice and vegetables. When the plates came out, my food was done perfectly, but my husband's hamburger was not cooked to his liking. Our waiter immediately apologized and took his plate back to the kitchen to be fixed. We waited for a while and his plate came back newly made and cooked perfectly! My pancake was absolutely delicious, and I would definitely come back for it. The rest of the food was okay, still delicious but not as good as the pancake. We'll definitely be back to try other menu items."
"LOCAL must go!A coworker introduced me to this place and with my second time going its never a disappointment! Previously I had a burger and fries, so fresh and so tasty. This time I ordered the dessert and I have to say, AMAZING!Their food is sourced from local farms and on island and they also offer fresh eggs, meat and fruits (when available of course), depending on the season. They had Kalo, lau lau leaves, guava and sweet potato when I went. Fresh duck eggs and ground beef also. They don't take phone orders nor online ordering as they are a small place. But if you are in the neighborhood please check them out. You won't be disappointed."
"An amazing spot for breakfast! Ilima Café is inside the Waikiki Resort Hotel. You enter the hotel in order to get to the restaurant. Inside the restaurant is light, bright, and airy. The staff were attentive. You receive a discount if you are staying at the hotel. If you need a restroom you need to ask the hotel front desk for a key and use the hotel lobby's restrooms. Menu wise is small but mighty with lots of comfort breakfast foods. I got a side of bacon with French toast and hashbrowns. My husband ordered the omelet which came with hashbrowns and rice. Everything was amazing! Came out hot and filled us up. They are only open a few hours in the morning, so be sure to wake up in time and order some delicious breakfast!"
"This location is at Pearl City Gateway Mall INSIDE Foodland farms! Same shopping Center with Longs, Tj Maxx, and Dunkin donuts. Across the street from Pearl City Walmart. Because this is inside foodland farms and you know the area, parking is always tight and busy. BUT since this is located within the shoping center, just don't mind the walk! I've came here multiple times for take out. Whether we're stopping here tentionally for lunch/dinner OR after some grocery shopping grabbing some plates on our way out. Food choices are bomb. Including with scoop rice and a choice of salad (toss, potato, etc). For main dishes they have steak, garlic shrimp, garlic chicken, loco moco, shoyu chicken, burgers, and more! My go to is always steak with toss salad and possibly a plus one. They offer 2 choice or 3 choice combos! With your steak they offer side of sauces: Teriyaki | Garlic Butter | Horseradish | Kim Chee | Lilikoi BBQ | Chimichurri.... my go to is the garlic butter. I love to just smear it onto the steak at home so it adds flavor to every bite. Their plate range from about $12-$15. Food wait time is typically fast. I've ordered 1-6 plates at one time and waited no longer than 10-15 min. Reason for the 4 star rating is their customer service. My experience there always changes. From whoever is taking my order sometimes their not always consistent or sometimes our order is wrong. Even if its a missing drink, its still a missing item. Before the pandemic they did have counter spaces with few chairs or an open eating area to the side of the cash registers to have your lunch/din-house! house! But of course it is take out only (which is what I've always done). Will always come back for when I want a fast plate of steak and some every once in a while."
"I was on Ford Island on Friday and saw the sign for Ford Island Bistro, had no idea they were back up. Located in the amazing looking NOAA HQ building is a great little cafe that serves amazing food and they service is absolutely awesome. It is either grab and go or you can sit and eat in the dinning area. The dinning area if very big with lots of table and amazing views of the harbor and Ford Island.Of course you need to have government ID to get on Ford Island and as well as enter the NOAA HQ building but if you can get in, definitely check it out. I had the grass-fed burgers from Big Island and I was not disappointed. I passed on the fries as I wasn't very hunger and only came for the burger. I'll be back on another Friday for Filipino Friday, the menu looked really good and I hardly ever pass on Filipino food. The have lots healthy options and salads as well.Great place and I will be back with my friends. Go check it out!"
"Great cafe kinda tucked away. Cute ambiance...Not too fancy. The food was delish. Our table had the salmon Benedict, banana waffle, Ono eggs and the star of the table... The banana pancakes souffle. I would def come back to try the other souffles. Good coffee!"
"Every table in the restaurant has a view of the harbor but for "front row" seats, request for a table by the window. The view is tranquil, with views of the boats in the harbor.Tip: Restaurant is located on the 3rd floor of Prince Waikiki.Hapa 'Poke' Bowl -- Beautifully plated poke bowl with chopped kampachi, king salmon, spicy tuna, and ikura served with pickled radish and carrots and seaweed. I enjoyed the citrus notes and spice from the yuzu kosho as well as the spicy tuna. Service was great. As we were ordering, our waitress warned us she was the only waitress working the lunch shift. Then a big rush of people came in for lunch. I don't know how but they were able to get help almost immediately, so our meal wasn't significantly impacted."
"Paia Fish Market is located on Kuhio across the street from Marugame. They are like a popular chain restaurant in California called California Fish Grill, which offers fresh sea food with some sides at a reasonable price in a casual environment. Plates at dinner consist of 8 oz. of fish protein while lunch time comes with 6 oz. When I visited on a weekday evening there was a 20 minute line to get in, followed by a 15 minute line inside. Fortunately after I ordered the food was ready in about 5 minutes.Ono ($26) - The plate options here consisted of ono, snapper, mahi mahi, tuna or salmon. One then chooses how they want the fish prepared, and each plate contains slaw, and a side. I got this prepared cajun style and substituted my side with additional slaw. The fish was slightly sweet and firm in texture and had wonderful Cajun seasoning.Overall, this is a healthy option to try some great tasting fish. Pricing is on the higher side like most things in Hawaii and the long lines are discouraging. It's best to visit during off peak times."
