"Dinner in Honolulu, Hawaii...My friend had Tuesday evening off from work. Her birthday was on Thursday, so we celebrated a couple of days early. She chose Upstairs at Pier 38. I had seen Jaymi's ROTD recently on the Yelp app... it looked like a great place!Parking was free and easy in the open areas around the buildings. We found the entrance and went up the elevator instead of the stairs. The reception area looked very familiar. It turns out that this restaurant had another name a while ago. It's really beautifully decorated and is very spacious with different areas such as a wall nook for a more private setting and a lounge area for a cocktail experience.We were led to a table by the window so we could see the sunset. Philip was our knowledgeable, efficient server. He asked if we were celebrating anything special - yes! He described the Special of the Day: monchong, which my friend ordered. I had a taste and it was spicy for me.I felt like having the Lobster Bisque, Caesar salad, French Onion Soup, and the beet salad. My friend tasted some of each. We both enjoyed everything!We were given a dessert menu, but we were stuffed! However, Philip brought a complimentary birthday dessert for my friend! It was a fancy Basque Cheesecake! Wow! Thank you!This is a very high-class, but casual place with excellent service! Come check it out!"

We shared the Caesar salad, fish tacos and the lobster "corndog" - everything was very good (although the lobster was a bit overcooked). The ambience is fun with live music and a Banyan tree overhead.Service couldn't have been better and appreciated the friendly smiles at the front desk.I would highly recommend Banyans to not only my Kailua/Kaneohe friends, but to people in town, too. "Came with a friend during soft opening phase. It's a bit hidden away in a complex that looks like there is no way a bar exists. Maybe a bit Japan like. But inside it is much larger than you'd think. A long bar area and multiple lounge style options throughout the room. Friend went zero proof (driver!) and I did the 430Fashioned. As you guess it was a play on the old fashioned. Very delicious. Space is dimly lit and classically appointed as furniture goes. It looks like you cam hold decent size groups on the corners of the lounge portion so parties can be accommodated. Glad ai got in early as the craft cocktail scene is evolving and growing since Id been in town hears ago. Places like Leather Apron are continually packed so it's great to have more choices as the scene grows..."

"We really like this restaurant at Aulani! A few years ago, we visited Aulani for a day and ate here for lunch. This time around, we stayed at Aulani for a week and ate here often. I totally love the vibe here as it's super huge in comparison of their smaller former space it's incredible how many tv's they also got as there will never be a fear of missing out no matter where you're sitting.As soon as you step in there's a white board filled with specials and the one that caught our eyes was the Laulau plate...yum! Their regular menu is filled with all things we love like Spam & Egg, Fried Noodles, Kal Bi, Lechon even Vienna sausage. We did order the Laulau plate along with Garlic Soybeans, Chicken Wings, and yup Saimin!Everything was super good and just how I like it feels like home and comfort foods. The staff here is just so friendly and constantly checking up on us and all the tv's was just a great disconnect to a forced conversation lol!Nice and spacious to brings groups of all sizes to enjoy whatever the occasion brings Anyplace is the the place to be!Thank you!"

"Came by on a Friday night in early January to check this place out as the videos and photos online look cool and I saw that it was a newer club. Not having clubbed in Hawaii before I did not know what the scene was like so it was interesting to check it out. When we got here around 11 PM there was no line outside and it was actually pretty quiet. It's located downstairs from Barnes & Noble so at first it took a while to find the entrance. When we got inside, they checked ideas as well as did security before taking the elevator downstairs.Once we got to the main entrance, they gave us our wristbands, and we were able to give the place a look. It was honestly pretty empty and we were surprised that for a Friday night that there was no one there. There was a few people but really, it was pretty empty. We asked around and they said that Saturdays are a much better day to come. The facility itself is really nice and open which I really liked. And the decor and concept is also pretty cool, maybe I just need some time to pick up traction and maybe Saturday would be better. We didn't get the chance to stay long, but hopefully next time we come, they'll be a larger crowd. We also do not have to pay to get in, so that was also nice."

"I did not even know about this place until we were looking for a karaoke bar. Let me tell you, this place is a secret GEM! I believe its located in Aiea shopping Center. It was a Saturday night and we were pretty much the only ones there! We were able to sing karaoke all night long, eat and talk! This place is very nice! Most importantly everyone was so friendly! Our waitress was so friendly too! Karaoke is $1 per song! Food was great!!! Nacho and Kim Chee pancake was so good!!! Bathroom is clean! Lots of parking! More people needs to know about this place! Definitely great place for everyone to go sing karaoke and have a great time!"

"....every other spot was closed or their kitchen was and we were so desperate for food lol. Stumbled across this inconspicuous gem and loved it so much we've gone twice in one week! If you don't know it's there you may miss it because the door isn't on the street. There's clear doors that open to a foyer area and once you walk through that, then you arrive at the entrance to Rivals. It is visible from the street but it almost looks like a hotel entrance so unless you happen to look down the hall you may not notice it from the street. But if you're starving like we were, we were leaving no door unsearched lol. We were immediately greeted and seated which we were impressed with. I asked a server as I was walking to my seat, impatiently lol, "do you guys serve food???" She told me honestly yes but they were very busy and short staffed that night and it could take an hour or so to get our meals. Although that could've been viewed as horrible, under the minimum optioned circumstances we appreciated the honesty and decided to stay. We were pleasantly surprised that our server confirmed the potential wait very humbly but offered drinks and options that may be faster to help lessen the wait. We actually decided to just order what we wanted and accept the wait but the food came out rather quickly! We ordered the chili cheese fries & wings (not pictured due to how quickly we started eating and I forgot to take a pic lol!) and pizza. All verrrry tasty as well as reasonably priced! And hot!! Our server, known as "Angry Dave", was more than hospitable. He was very accommodating, friendly, and personable. We were pleased to see he was available to serve us when we went back for our second visit! This bar/restaurant will be frequented during our stay here. Absolute BB referral!"

"These are one of those rare nights where a few of my friends and I felt like unleashing our inner American Idol. After dinner, my friends and I decided to hit up Pandora Cafè which is basically a bar/karaoke lounge. The front area is where the bar and some tables are for eating and drinking. I believe I saw some dart stations also in the front area. The back area are where the karaoke rooms are. Not sure if they have a different size rooms, but the room we were in could easily fit maybe up to 6 people. Parking is in the back area of the building and to my surprise, parking was free. We were given a parking pass upon booking a room for karaoke where you would have to display on your dashboard. I'm not sure if it's standard, but my friend who came here last time for karaoke also said they got free parking. Definitely a huge plus! Parking is shared with the other business in the same building complex so it can fill up pretty fast.The staff here was nothing but great! Upon entering, we informed our host that we wanted a karaoke room and within seconds, we were shown to our room. Our waiter was also great. He kept on checking on us every so ofter making sure we were ok with drinks.The only minor con I have was with the karaoke equipment. We were provided with two mics, but for some reason, when both mics were turned on, only one would work at a time and the audio was going in and out, but if we turned one mic off, the one left on would work fine. We did inform our waiter and he was kind enough to try and find out what the problem was, which wasn't really resolved. Not really a big problem as I didn't really want to hear my voice anyways, so we just all sang with one mic. All in all, it was a great place to end the night with some friends."

"The Hinana bar is one of a few places in the Prince Waikiki hotel that you can get food from. We have stayed here a few times and it was a great time. The poolside service of the waitstaff is great because you can swim and enjoy your time without having to wait in line for food. They bring everything out in cute bento boxes. That's nice considering the pool is located below many rooms and I would hate to have something fall in my food. We ordered the crab and lobster sweet roll and the hurricane tater tots, toppings on the side. My husband said the crab and lobster roll was the same from two years ago when we stayed here. That's pretty good considering that was right after COVID time and many things can change. Sandwich came with fries which pleased the kiddos. The tatter tots were very crunchy with the toppings on the side. The kids loved trying all the sauces themselves as I'm sure they wouldn't have liked it as much with the tater tots dressed. The setting is nice day and night. If your lucky you can catch the firework show poolside while sipping your drinks. If you are in the area, stop by for some live music or DJ beats and definitely try the crab and lobster sweet roll!"

All the food was amazing and the Ube Painkiller *chef's kiss Coming from SD, Foodie Heaven, the Boardroom was top tier. We have the 4-course meal option (app, soup, entree, and dessert), everything brought to the table was amazing. The Honey Shrimp Linguine was simply amazing. Every plate was the perfect combination of artistry and home-cooked meal. If that home-cooked meal was made by a Michelin Star level Chef and team. Chef Terry was extremely welcoming and even got to know her background. Synopsis: 8-year Navy Vet, went to culinary school, cut her teeth in some of the best kitchens in Los Angeles AND Europe (crazy). If you watched "The Bear", it's like that in real life."

Decor is very warm with dark woods and ambient lighting. It's a bit squishy inside as it isn't a large space. Choose from bar and low top seating. EXPERIENCE:We had a short five minute wait on this particular Saturday night around 10pm as they were fairly busy. I've always been drawn to jazz bars and Lewers Lounge did not disappoint. Ambiance, check. Drinks, check. Soothing, live singer, check. The spouse and I enjoyed a glass of bubbly before calling it a night. Prices weren't too eye popping. The disappointment of the night? Me. I was so full and tired from our dinner prior to coming here, I was falling asleep! Ugh, still so mad about that. Host & wait service were good.OVERALL:One of the few jazz lounges in the 808."

The place was packed, we ordered and I noticed that if you're going to order a 2 option combo with sashimi as one of your options, it's actually cheaper by $1 to get a one option teiahoku and order the sashimi on the side. That doesn't make sense to me and even the waiter was confused when I tried to explain it to him. Anyway.... The food is good, but pricey. $30 for dinner without drinks? Yikes! Service was attentive and the interior is nice. I like teiahoku but maybe not enough to come back often."

It's a Niner hang out, as mostly everyone in there had their clothing on.They serve breakfast menu until 12:30 pm and then it switches over to their regular menu. We opted to wait to get the regular food. We ordered the Cajun Spice Fries $8, Lemon Pepper Chicken Wings with Ranch $17 and the Korean Style BBQ Boneless Short Rib with Savory Garlic Soy Reduction and Scallion Garnish $25. The food was very good and well seasoned. They have tables and chairs as well comfy sofas. The sofa sectionals can hold roughly eight to ten people. You can have a sofa reserved for your group as I saw a sign. Service was exceptional. The servers kept coming over to see if we needed anything and kept the water glasses full."

"We booked this venue for our son's 1st Birthday Party. Rusty was amazing, he was always responsive and answered all my questions timely. The size of the space was perfect for the number of guests we were planning to have. We were able to fit a small bounce house and play area in the back for the kids which really helped keep them all in one place.You really can't go wrong for the price and Rusty even allowed us to use their refrigerator and ice to keep our non-alcoholic beverages cold.We got so many compliments on the venue and everyone had a great time.
