"I had a mini bbq chicken that was $5.23 (w/ tax) and it was pretty good, just didnt like the mac salad very much, too "mayonaisy" for my taste =P. A pretty decent place so i'll probably go back someday to try some other stuff."
"I wish I could give this place the 5 stars it deserves. The food is so consistent, and the reason I continue to come back."

"Every time I've been here, the food is amazing & the service is friendly! I love going during football season too as they always have games on two large tv screens! We love the spicy pork burritos but honestly everything is so tasty. I want to try a torta but always end up purchasing a burrito!! My family is always so happy with the food from here and the must have is the Korean hot sauce!!"
"Very unassuming food truck with solid flavors. Got the pork bulgogi - very moist, good amount of meat with some green/yellow onions and carrots, and nice level of spice to it. The auntie was super nice and caring too. I ordered the food and went to Teddy's to pick up corn dogs for the kids (which took 20 mins!). When I got back, she had kept the container on top of the warmer. She said hopefully it stayed warmed. Thanks Auntie!"
"Located in the old Cathay Chinese Restaurant next to Hele Gas. Lots of parking. A small convenience store with a hot food counter."
"BBQ Hut name is misleading. It is KoreanBBQ. That said the spicy pork BBQ was scrumptious. The char on the meat was just right and gave it a smoky flavor. I had the mini with 3 sides as I can't eat rice. The seaweed salad, cooked cabbage and chop chai were very good. I had leftovers. It's more of a takeaway place than a dining room. The staff were very nice."
"Topped Waikiki is a super fun place in Waikiki for grubbin' on some seriously loaded dishes. Their signature Korean bibimbap and fries are stacked high with tasty toppings that'll make your taste buds do a happy dance. If you're lookin' for some next-level comfort food, this spot's got you covered. Go check it out for a good time and some epic eats! Parking can be a pain but solid location central to all the cool bars in Waikiki."
"Why haven't I heard of them sooner?! I guess I'll need to take more trips.Located in the parking lot before the airport, across of McDonalds and IHOP, Family BBQ is tucked away on the left most corner (towards the airport). We got the garlic chicken and spicy BBQ chicken. The spicy BBQ chicken was very tender, moist and tasty! The taste mostly comes from the sauce, which is garlicy and honestly, not super spicy. It has a tiny kick. The star of the show is the garlic chicken. They're in like smaller bites and pieces but oh man, so packed with flavor! Reminds of famous garlic chicken places, but better. Banchan was all delicious. The daikon is refreshing, not too vinegary. The kimchi is delicious! Not watery nor too salty. Bean sprouts are great and fish cakes were tasty!Quantity of food was superb! Nowadays, can't get a MINI more than $15 but the minis here were actually under that. I got two thighs in my mini! They are incredibly generous, and the food is actually good. They're not like other Korean Plate lunch places that only give you a lot, but a lot of meh food. Prices obviously are justified. Now I have a reason to go to the airport early to pickup or drop-off people. I can now make them pay me with food from here ;) Its definitely worth it!"
"Excellent food and service tucked away on the far left side of the Polynesian cultural center. Kimchi is much better than the kimchi I had at a food truck in Waikiki."
"This place is in kalihi right next to guieb cafe. They have free parking outside but go on a random time because it does get busy and parking does fill up. The food is cheap!!!! 3 choices for $20 something, wow! Super worth it! AND it comes with sides. Wow! So they seperate their sides because on one side of their restaurant you have all you can eat yakiniku and on the other side it's reg eating. Mama & papa there are super nice and they make you feel at home. The food is good. Cooked to perfection. Very fulfilling. They give a lot. Although I wish it was cooler in there because the ac was not really strong enough. The noise level is regular, not too quiet and not too loud which was perfect. The tables were a little squishy. But I enjoyed the company of the workers."
"The free little bowls of veggies and other apps that come before the paid items are so awesomely tasty, they actually were tastier than the stuff we ordered! I got the bibimbap and I wish it were a bit more wet, it was really dry and the only way to make it wetter was to add the spicy miso paste which I didn't want to do because there was already enough spice. My mom got the seafood pancake and she loved it but I thought it was like tempura and too greasy. The staff was amazing!! The ambience was also really spacious yet private at the same time. Great place!"
"Came here for our New Year's Eve dinner. LOVED IT!! The experience is priceless. The staff are attentive enough, if you need something just get their attention. Our waitress showed us how to use the skillet, gave us more than we can eat. The rice tasted good with the bbq. The Kalbi has a good taste the brisket is okay the best one was the New York cut. Will comeBack again for sure and will stay in the same hotel."

One of the best Chicken katsu curry I've ever had. $7.50 gets you a loaded plate with two scoops rice, mac salad, korean style cabbage and a delicious, slightly spicy curry on perfectly deep fried chicken katsu. I'm wondering if they're using S&B Golden Curry because that's exactly what the curry tasted like. Good job Airport Drive Inn. Your first impression is going to be a lasting one. It made my current Top 3 Chicken Katsu Curry list:#1. Curry House#2. Grace's Inn#3. Airport Drive Inn

I've gotten takeout from here for years and they are my go to k- bbq place in Ewa. I haven't had a bad experience yet. There could be a long wait during dinner time bc they are busy, but it's still worth it. We love all their sides bc it's always very fresh and they give generous portions. Two combo plates feeds a family of 4 with leftovers. Prices have increased, but they do give a lot of food so we still feel like it's worth it.

Breakfast in Kaka'ako, Honolulu, Hawaii...This was my first meal of the day at 10:15am, so - technically, it's Breakfast!I actually wanted to visit Waba Snacks, which is in the front of the property. The Waba Snacks staff told me to come back in about 20 minutes because the machine wasn't ready yet. The young man at the front handed me a takeout menu for K-Mex HI and showed me how to get to K-Mex HI through their back door... cool! The two businesses are associated with each other!K-Mex HI is a quiet, clean, trendy spot with Instagram opportunities. The two big screen TVs and the condiment bar keep customers entertained. There's an air conditioning unit and a ceiling fan that circulates the cool air sufficiently. Service was on the brisk, but efficient side. Interaction was something like this:Me: I'd like to get the bowl with the kimchi salsa on the side.Gal: choose a protein Me: beef bulgogi Gal: pinto or black beans?Me: blackGal: Here or To go?Me: here(She told me the total price.)Me: (looking at the refrigerator to my left) May I add on? A tamarind... no... a watermelon?Gal: (not smiling) (gave me the total)I took a seat and snapped a few photos. She brought my bowl to me and told me that the bottle opener was on the wall and pointed. Alright! My bowl was OK. I detected some spice in maybe the Spanish rice? I tried some kimchi salsa - yup - a bit spicy for me. The bulgogi, cheese, onions, sour cream drizzle, and beans were average. The watermelon Jarritos was refreshing!I was lucky to get a parking space on the street. This is a rather industrial area with limited parking. I'd return if there was an empty parking spot. I didn't want to park in front of Waba Snacks... other customers might need to park there...As I was placing my glass bottle in the recycling bin, the gal asked how everything was. She even said, "Have a nice day!" Thank you!

I bought the Korean pork bulgogi, it was excellent. The pork was very juicy and flavorful and it was a good amount for the price. This truck gets overlooked due to the other trucks but I highly recommend this one.

Soft opening happened this week. Grand opening June 3. Stopped by to see if they had stuff for lunch and picked up their kimchi fried rice. Very flavorful and the fried egg was just right. They have lots of things besides snacks so if you're ever on your way home and need something they might have it. Very clean and the team working was very friendly and quick at check out. I'm going to be a frequent visitor and can't wait to see what kind of poke selection they'll have

Tried this place for the first time because we wanted to try more restaurants near us, and I'm glad we did. I got the BBQ Chicken plate, and with how good everything tasted, I would go back and get the exact same thing. I appreciated the lady preparing my plate, she was very generous with how much of each side she was giving, especially the long rice (always my go-to side at places like this.) Everything in this plate was very flavorful. I listed my exact order in the picture description, highly recommend.

So good!Stopped here for lunch on our way back to the hotel from the beach. Affordability and portion sizes were great, but the flavors were amazing! We went with the Spicy Pork (perfect spice level), Shoyu Pork (favorite flavor), and Beef & Butter (solid, but least favorite of the three). It's a fun hole in the wall spot...limited seating, but they had great containers to go. Service was fast and the quality was

I haven't been here before but we were in the neighborhood. Writing a review while we wait for our food. The staff was nice and the inside was clean. Ordered takeout hope the food is good! Just wanted some fresh pictures of the menus and the pricing.

"Yay! Awesome new korean takeout place friendly owners and yummy food. Highly recommend their kalbi and meat jun!!"
"What a fun concept...Indeed it really is though this place has been on my long list of places I somehow keep forgetting and am so glad that I didn't remember lol but almost drove right past it as I've been contemplating on dinner for the night. Located on busy Kapahulu in the newly built building along with a few parking making it an easy especially finding street parking here can be tough.Walking up to the restaurant I immediately noticed the outdoor seating which has the chairs chained to the tables...interesting, there's also images of some of the menu items which already has caught my hungry mode and went in to see quite a busy place and since it was about an hour to closing many of the grab and go items we discounted...ooohhh! Out of it all what caught my eye was a Poke bowl layered with salad versus the traditional rice and it was generously topped with spicy ahi and salmon combo originally at $10 was at $8! What a deal though I really came for Kalbi since it's mom's favorite and scanned the menu noticed Naengmyeon & Kalbi Combo which comes with two pieces of Kalbi grilled to a delicious flavorfulness that we both enjoyed (I got just a nibble) the Naengmyeon was the refreshing meal I was craving for without being too heavy though the amount of noodles given was so generous and cooked to a slight al dente perfection. The broth wasn't spicy but had a dollop of spice on top along with daikon, cucumber and half a boiled egg.Everything was packed so nice and thoughtful we really enjoyed it all and will be back again for sure.Thank you!"
"This is quaint restaurant that has a mom and pop feel upon entering their doors. There are a few booths along the wall and several tables in the center of the room. It was my first time eating here, although my husband had been many, many years prior. We ordered the black bean noodles/jajangmyeon and sweet and sour pork/tangsiyuk. Both were very flavorful. I don't like most sweet and sour flavored sauces, as I usually feel they're overly sweet or sour. This one was perfect for my tastebuds! I almost wished we ordered a second plate but we just didn't have any room left. The serving size of the noodles is comparable to that you'd get in a fresh ramen bowl (not the instant ones). I'd like to say my appetite is pretty healthy but I was unable to finish my bowl, so I took the rest home (as did my hubby). The lady who served us is likely one of the owners. She was kind and attentive. I do think the water we received tasted weird (probably from tap) but I didn't want to order a $3 soda can so I just dealt with it. It also came in a short cup -- I drink a lot while I eat and I wished they were larger cups so that they wouldn't have to come refill so often. Overall, it was an enjoyable meal."
"I'm not going to lie, I've been waiting a year and a half for this place to open! I walked by one day, saw the construction, and got super excited, hoping the doors would open within a month or two. But month after month went by, and every time I was in the area, I'd check to see if it was finally open. Then, out of nowhere, I walked by and saw the lights on, workers inside, and the screens ready for orders. I couldn't believe it, it was finally here! Let me tell you, it does *not* disappoint. This is exactly what I've been waiting for, and it's everything Waikiki needed. The anticipation was worth it!"
"If you're driving right now please pull over to the side of the road. Great! Now open up your gps app of choice and punch in this place. Don't ask, just follow the directions!! The gps' ones. Or mines...I was driving home craving some meat jhun. I was going to go to a place I remember when I was young but having been there twice in the past few years. It just didn't remind me ofmy childhood memories.I did the usual, searched by stars, read reviews. Decided to give this place a shot. I will not lie, I was a little frustrated in trying to find this place, it's literally a hole in the wall kind of place. You really need to know what you're looking for and where you're looking for it. However I found it. I got to the window to order and it was really quiet. I sat for about 20 seconds and thought maybe no one knew I was there. And then I saw her literally the cutest little old lady approach the window. My crappy day at work literally faded from my mind and was instantly replaced with the warm calm of this ladies humbleness. She took my order, answered all the questions I had and I finished our conversation by asking if she worked on Sunday (it was only Friday, I haven't even tried this place yet) and I was already considering my second return because of how disarming the lady was to the stresses I had been carrying with me.Her response? She paused for a second and said yes I will be here, but after church. Then she placed her hand on something that was on her wall and she said I have to give my blessings for the blessings I received. I told myself, I'm coming back here again. Even though I don't go to church, this lady was emanating so much love that I can honestly say I felt blessed having found this place. lol I know crazy right?Yah yah yah but how was the food you must be dying to know! You're absolutely right! You've been dying since the day you were born but you're in luck cause my meat jhun was awesome and you're having a rough day, come visit this lady and she'll probably have you realizing you were happy you ended up there as well!I normally don't write reviews unless they were really deserving. This place was!!!If you read this today or tomorrow, see you Sunday! :)"
"When I first ate here it was called MyungRang Hotdog. It's now Mr. Cow and they have a few locations on the island. It's the same concept and the food is pretty much the same. I usually get the Yamy Am $6.50. It's the one wrapped with small pieces of sweet potato fries. They batter the hot dog with rice flour that makes it super crispy with a little chewiness. I like mine with half a hot dog and half mozzarella cheese. If you're going to add cheese to your hot dog it'll be $1 more. The top half of the stick will have the cheese and the bottom half will be the hot dog. They have a few dipping sauces that you can choose from. I always get the sweet chili. I can't eat spicy, but the sauce isn't spicy at all."
"I absolutely love Tang Hu Lu. From having it for the first time back when Honolulu Skewer House would offer it complimentary for dessert after dining there. To seeing it trend on Tik Tok and attempting to make it myself. Which was dangerous. I burnt myself, then must have gotten the temperature wrong or something. The sugar I made was too hard and ended up cutting my mouth when I tried to eat it. So much better I just buy it here offered at Yoajung. They come in red or green grapes, strawberry, blueberry, tangerine (my favorite, definitely get that one), and pineapple on the weekends. They are $4-$5 each skewer. They seem to be super popular, possibly from exposure on social media. Their line was long. Good for them!"
"Grab and go cafeteria style. A lot of veggie options to choose from! Service is quick too, no need to call ahead. If you want utensils please remember to ask for them when you pay!"
"No matter what you order, you won't be disappointed. The kalbi and BBQ meat are my number one picks. They have a variety of vegetables, which are included in your plates (4 items to pick). Just writing this review, think I'm going to have some Korean food today. The staff is very friendly and always smiling."
"We couldn't decide on where to have dinner last night and ended up here. I've always wanted to try O'Kims and luckily we found street parking. The restaurant is small. There were maybe five tables in the front. They also have a back patio section that also accommodates around five tables. We decided to dine in the back. It was nice and tranquil. We shared the Korean Chicken $17.95 and Kalbi $27.95. Both entrees came with a green salad. The Korean Chicken greens came with a lemon mayo dressing and the Kalbi greens came with a black sesame dressing. Both dressings were outstanding and made in house. The black sesame dressing Is one of the best dressings that I've ever tasted. They also sell their dressings in bottles for $10.95. It also came with complimentary pickled daikon and Kim chee, which were refillable. We liked it so much that we did get a refill. Both entrees were great, but the Kalbi was my fave. They give you one of the big bone varieties. It also came with homemade fries and kabocha. Both entrees also came with purple rice. My hubby and I shared the Yuzu Lemonade $3.95. I thought that it would be too tart and that I wouldn't like it. However, it wasn't tart and had just the right amount of sweetness. I wanted to get the Elote Ice Cream, but the hubby was full. I knew I couldn't finish it by myself. We will try it the next time around."
"Saw this restaurant bc we parked by there and intended to go to Tonkatsu Ginza but they weren't accepting anymore tables for the evening. We remembered seeing Ginza Won on the way in and decided let's just go here to eat and we're 100 percent super happy! Their quality of meats was sooo good and their seafood tofu soup was the best we've eaten in so long. Seafood was so fresh. The services was so great. The server was very authentic and personable. He gave us great suggestions and kept our banchan full. He mentioned his mom made that super delicious tofu soup. Definitely we will be back next time we're in Hawaii."
"Tried another KFC (Korean fried chicken) place! Honey chicken wings are yummy!! Must order a side radish for refreshment! Clean eating area and cute paper bag! Good service Recommend to try everyone!"
"We came here for karaoke and arrived early to reserve a room. With just three of us, they were able to accommodate us easily. The deal was to spend $150 on food and drinks, plus $2 per song for karaoke. I appreciated that the bathrooms were clean, which is always a nice touch. The food was great, and we ordered a lot of soju--but as a light drinker, I didn't feel the effects, which made me think it might have been watered down. Other than that, it's always a fun experience with karaoke, and I really enjoy Korean food!"
"Yay, they're back open. Called in my order and it was ready in 10 minutes. My spicy chicken plate was yummy and Jay (new owner) was pleasant. No one was there (on a Friday!) because the business was closed for a month while the new owners were prepping to take over, people stopped relying on them. I'll be going again."
"#Grateful for bartender Marty and cook Thomas this is a new place in my amazing neighborhood we will be stopping by often they have karaoke the food is definitely fresh and hot plenty of free parking lots of games and live music on certain days you will not be disappointed try to always support local remember 70% of the money you spend local stays local I have discovered paradise and I am never leaving this island I have been here over 4 years and I will definitely have my friends and family stopped by every time they visit Aloha from Paradise #bigfunglasses"
"Good flavor, spicy and fresh. I wish had more meat in the dish though. Next time I'll order a side of meat jun! Good customer service."
"Food was delicious! Worth what we paid. Although the lady who took our food was talking so lazily, it's like she wasn't in the mood to work (we went there right before it got busy for lunch). Everything else was great. They gave us enough napkins, food was good. Took my order the way I wanted it."
"Cozy friendly bar beautiful bartenders. Drinks food and companionship wonderful. check this place out"
"Our family comes here for good Korean food. My kids like their kalbi and I'm always happy with their Bi Bim Bap. Whenever I feel like I'm getting a cold or feeling under the weather, I get their seaweed soup. Yum!"
"What can I say? Waianae Kalbi & Sushi Mart is the only Korean restaurant in the area, and it's my go-to spot! I love Korean food, especially kalbi, but what really makes this place special for me is their sushi platter.Whenever I host football games at home, I always pick up a platter, and it never fails to impress my guests. Delicious food and great service--definitely recommend!"
"Pearls is one of my hidden secrets on the island, because you of the plate lunches. These are the best plate lunches on the island in my opinion. These portions are absolutely massive and large enough for a couple of people to share or for a few servings. I love the selection of all the vegetables as sides, and all the options for proteins. All and all, you are able to get a pretty well balanced plate lunches here. 100/100 recommend!"
"My third visit. I had a mini bbq chicken plate with two sides. Daniel is a gracious host, always positive and friendly. Very generous with the portions, and tasty too. Casual dining or take out. On my previous visit I had the kal bi, also very good."
"Long overdue review. But wow, this place is great!AYCE banchan station is an automatic 5 stars. I'd give more stars if I could because the food is just as good and the portions are enough to take some home.I shared the "Two People Special" with my boyfriend because we couldn't decide what we wanted, plus it was our first time so we wanted to taste which dish they make better lol. I also got a side of Mahi Mahi Jun. The pieces of each protein was nice and thick - crispy and juicy. The presentation of the dishes were so fancy.. even had drizzle designs. Everything was fresh off the stove or fryer so we def started eating straight off the plate. The special we got is definitely enough for two people and mixed with the banchan, we still had leftovers for lunch the next day.People were funneling in and out and the owner seemed to be know almost everyone that walked in - or was so friendly that you would think she did lol. She was super nice with me and my boyfriend, even cracked a couple jokes. The place is also BYOB which is convient because it's next to a safeway lol. I want to take my family here. Definitely worth the drive to Kailua for."
