"Great indoor playground. Conveniently located at the Mililani shopping center right next to The Shack. There is a designated entrance/exit to the play area so that you can comfortably let your kids roam free without wondering if they're going to go through another exit. You can watch them from the lounge area. What to bring: -Socks (required) What not to bring: -Food and drinks (keep it in your bag) This is a better choice if you're looking for something not too crazy and it's not as expensive as other places. 1 free adult."
"I enrolled my son last year in their afterschool program. They meet once a week and build with Legos. My son enjoys it and I asked him this year if he wanted to continue and he said YES! I don't know exactly what he builds or does, but he's having fun and the price is reasonable. My only suggestion would be to provide parents with pictures of what the kids make and share it through email or private website. The kids do bring back a paper of what they did for the day, I would just like to see what my son's creations looked like."
"My daughter goes here and they are amazing, staff is always supper friendly and she has grown so much in both personality and in academia. They have good hours open 630-530 and very caring and attentive to the kids. It's amazing because it is on the cheaper end of preschools and they also try to ensure everything is paid for in the tuition(food, supplies, field trips). I'm blessed I found them."
"Mahalo for a fantastic party! This is a great company!!My son, now 7 years old, did both weeks of their summer camp and had a blast. He can be shy and struggle with new situations but the staff made him feel at ease. He is extremely single-minded and focused when it comes to Legos and he even enjoyed the non-building activities. They mixed in some crafts and games and he was a satisfied customer. When I learned that they do birthday parties I knew that I had to hire them for his 7th birthday in August. The entire staff was very helpful and went out of their way to make it a great experience for all of us. The coordinator, Joe, was very responsive to emails so making arrangements was easy. The party package we chose included pizza and juice for 20 kids and they supplied more than enough, even bringing their own cooler to ensure the drinks stayed cold. Susan and Keisha were fantastic party providers! Although it had been almost two months both ladies remembered my son from camp and he seemed happy to see them. They were enthusiastic and really engaged the kids in all of the activities. Keisha even went out to help supervise the kids on the playground when it became obvious they needed to run around a bit, while Susan helped with clean up and talked with the kids who stayed in. The kids all had a blast building Legos and playing games, and were excited to take home their own little Lego goodies.I have spent the past 6 years doing birthday parties myself and stressing out over food, activities, goody bags, etc. For the first time ever I decided to let someone else handle it and I am so glad I did. Not only did my son and his friends have the best time, but I think we actually saved money! Honestly even it had cost more it would have been worth it since my husband and I were able to enjoy the day with him.I highly, HIGHLY recommend this company and the talented staff that run it. If you have a kiddo who loves Legos then any of their programs will be a great fit."
"Great experience!! My daughter loved the Mythology camp. Erica was great with the kids! Will definitely do another camp."
"Great alternative to Kid city, it's more cost effective about $10 cheaper for 1 adults and 1 kid. It's a lot smaller than kid city but it has comparable activities and again it's cheaper. There are three moving rides in the toddler area and a the gym area is really cool it has a trampoline and slides. Front desk staff was so helpful and sweet, I think her name was Guess! Main thing is kid has a great time and I got to sit in free AC."
"I had the pleasure to have Ronja for my daughter's 8th birthday party. It was a pirate theme but it didn't matter coz all her activities were enjoyed by the kids and adults as well. We were supposed to have her regular "workshop" for the kids but since i have over 40 kids, we decided to just have the kids come to her if they want to try spinning plates, hula-hoop, balance beam, etc. The Kids really enjoyed her activities. She was so easy to talk to and I've been in contact with her 8 months before the party! Lol! And she was very responsive,, very reasonably price,, on-time (even early) . I will not hesitate to have her again on my next event/party! Thank you so much Ronja!"
"Christina has an amazing voice and her enthusiasm really makes the class fun! We have taken this class taught by different teachers when we lived on the East Coast. The concept is to expose your little one to music through spending 45 minutes singing, dancing and moving with your child and other families. The teachers lead the class through singing and encouraging parents to do the same. Even the worse singer...hahaha...me sounds good when blending your voice with a great lead. Christina quickly makes the group comfortable through singing the hello song and then switching song to song mixed in with movements with filmy scarves, instruments in bags, and lively dancing. The class is definitely upbeat and songs are very easy to learn. Even if you cannot carry a tune the class is a great way to start the morning and just sing! Not to mention it's very good family time!"
"We usually stay in Oahu for extended periods of time during summer and it usually always a struggle to find socialization for our kids. When I found "Spark You" i immediately knew it was a perfect fit for my 9 year old daughter. We signed up for a "slime week" and she was so excited to go. One of the other amazing bonuses were field trips during that week as well. My daughter immediately clicked with all the kids and found her new best friend. She was eager to get up and leave the house so she could be at camp on time ( and it was an HOUR drive for us but we both were willing to do it). I even came on one of their "Secret Island" trips and it was soooo amazing. The stuff is very kind and cool with kids. Natasha is a great owner, loving and caring. I highly recommend this camp or enrichment program for your kids. They ll stay busy, healthy, will learn science and have fun."
"Have you ever wondered how it would feel to break or smash anything you find near you or around you? Or maybe just want to break something to relieve those extra pressure on you or release those stress? We celebrated my brother-in-law's 40th birthday, also known as Yakudoshi in Japanese culture at Break'N Anger. This was our first event for the day. There's really no parking around but you can park on the street. I think Sunday is best since it's not busy so we had better chance with finding a closer parking. They had signage and you would need to ring the door bell and a staff will let you in. As soon as you walk in through the door, you'd find so much colors, graffitis, spray paints and all items that you can choose from to break and special or larger items for purchase to break. The staff had us select 17 items that we wanted to break from the 4-tier shelves. What's really neat is that if you have an item that you end up not breaking, you get to keep as souvenir. For safety, we were provided jumpsuits, gloves, and helmets with face shield. Ooh and you must wear shoes! We reserved the Jungle Room. The room was equipped with sledgehammer, golf club, metal pipe, and crow bars. You MUST listen for their instruction to ensure that not only you enjoy your time smashing and breaking items but you are safe doing it! They also have a phone holder so you don't have to worry about taking videos! All in all, it was a fun event! It was our first and definitely won't be our last! Thank you for reading my review. Have a great week! Happy New Year!"
"Always friendly staff. So patient with the kids. I personally would not have the patience to work the ticket redemption counter! Much respect to all the employees. Salad bar is always clean whenever we come by and well stocked. Much prefer this salad bar to the Pearl City location."

We had a party here for my god son. Had the whole place to ourselves. The people at the front were super friendly and didnt micro manage the place, that was nice and relaxing. Unfortunately, I didnt get a chance to take pictures as I had my 10 month old and if anyone knows, its hard to take pictures and handle a 10 month at the same time in a place like this, lol. The place was very clean, love that they have an area for soft play and toddlers & babies. Even the big kids and adults had a blast. We will definitely be going again and I will make sure this time I take pictures and upload. They are located in the Mililani Shopping Center next to the Shack. Parking there is lots of it, but just gotta keep in mind that parking lot services all the surrounding business' as well. What I really liked about this place is they have a gate near the entrances blocking the kids from going out to the front door. If for anyone reason that a child gets past that gate, they will need to pass the front desk first and let me just say, the workers are very attentive :)) which was a major plus.

If i could give 10 stars to this school i totally would. This school located is hidden in the back of the residential area inside a buddhist temple. The school is small and old looking but what inside will amazed you!! The people!! All the teachers, principal and everyone is so nice and friendly and very helpful, very professional and kind. This is our kids very first school and we are very pleased to find this school nearby our house. Tuition is also affordable in my opinion for the time that they watch our kids 6:45-7:30 drop off/ pick up 3-4:30/5 i forgot but we rarely leave them there after 4ish. I love every single teachers and teacher aid they have. Ms Jan, Ms Jen, Ms Melissa, Mr Andrew; Ms Amy, Ms Claire and also Ms Jennifer works in the office, everyone is so nice and always there to support our kids whenever needed. Even other teachers from another class always say Hi and recognize our kids by Name make us feel very welcomed! i cannot recommend enough to everyone about this school. my children always come home happy and excited to come to school. You can tell they learn a lot. Become more independent and polite, well manner and speak more words. don't look anymore! enroll your child!! you won't regret! :)

Funtastic has become our go-to indoor event for so SOOOO MANY different circumstances... Such as...Missed a 9am playdate? Funtastic opens at 10.Shopping and feel guilty your kids didn't do anything active or stimulating? Funtastic. It's raining outside and you can't take your wild child to the park? Funtastic. Too sunny and hot out and you wanna sit in an air condition room while your daredevil enjoys the indoor jungle gym? Funtastic. Said toddler has been successful in using the potty and the money you saved on pull-ups this month earned your little tot a reward? Funtastic. Pregnant with a toddler? Funtastic. I mean, not that you're pregnant *with* a toddler but that you're pregnant WITH a toddler... You're not an elephant! Anyway... you get it... Funtastic! Just do it. The entire space is soft padded. There's an area designed for toddlers that is loaded with cool toys from brands like Melissa and Doug, Little Tikes, Mattel and Lego that all encourage imaginative and creative play that they can foster with you or other children. There are several rides that are cute as a button and will help your tot get tired like slides, a coconut swing, a ramp and cart and the bigger area boasts steep slides, a trampoline, an obstacle course and spider web swings... Suuuuuper cute! It's just full of fun things for them to play with and enjoy! My toddler (2 year old) loves coming here. The owner/manager is very friendly and they have both daily and monthly plans. We've done both. You are required to wear socks and if you forgot to bring, they have for sale for both adult and child. Price is $15 per 2 hours. Monthly plan is I think $75 for unlimited entry. Worth it!

My daughter and I have been with Music Together Aloha for over a year! It used to be Ohana Music Together, and we'd attend weekly classes in Kaimuki with Ms. Becky, Ms. Shira and Ms. Miwa.It is AMAZING. Whether you have infants or older toddlers, this class is like no other- the teachers are upbeat, engaging and passionate, and put so much thought into each semester, which is called a different instrument (so cute!) Along with a songbook, you also get a CD (my daughter loved this during car rides as well as at home), and honestly the songs are probably the best I've heard for kids (they're similar to the Laurie Berkner Band, where they encourage movement, following direction and acting things out along with the music which is awesome for toddlers!)We are Music Together's biggest fans- we continued with their Zoom classes while quarantined (so thankful that they continued), and even without all the class perks of instruments, scarves, parachutes, fairy lights, etc. my daughter was glued to Zoom the whole session. She still knows songs by heart from previous semesters! She's due to begin preschool soon and I'm very close to having her miss a day just so she can do her music and dance classes, lol. It gives her so much joy- she's a dancing singing little soul by heart and needs classes like Music Together in her life!!!

"Need a "YES" space for kids? This is it!My 1 year old twins loved playing and exploring. This location has less "older kids" so it's less chaotic than other places.I'll return again soon."
"Thank goodness Gymboree is still around! Honestly I didn't even know it was still in business because I don't hear about it much but I would always pass by it. I tried a free trial class when my daughter was 5 months old and it was fun having her be around other babies her age. For the infants and toddlers, a parent/adult needs to accompany to the child. The instructor does like a circle time with the babies and parents which I think is a great way to get them ready for preschool (coming from a former preschool teacher). I've only had Ms. Erica for the classes but she is awesome at what she does. I'm always amazed how she remembers all the children's names lol. She sings songs, bubbles and brings out toys for the babies to play. When your child is able to walk/run, you have more time to play on the equipment and roam around.I waited till my daughter was walking (1 years old) to join Gymboree. It's a monthly membership that you can pause anytime. My daughter is super active and literally wants to climb everything at home so Gymboree is a great outlet for her!! Plus she gets to socialize with other babies and it's the cutest thing!! The class is 40 minutes unless you are in the School Skills class in the afternoon for 3-6 year olds. They also have Open Gym from 2:30pm - 3:30pm where your child has free range to use all the equipment. So if you need a place for your child to get their energy out, I definitely recommend Gymboree. Right after my daughter goes to the morning class, we get home and she passes out lol. The staff is friendly. The facility seems clean and they always wipe it down after class so it gives me a little reassurance. Signing up is easy to do online and there is ample parking (located in the same parking lot as Keiki Kingdom). If you don't want to join the membership, drop ins are available. Although it's not exactly cheap for the monthly membership, I feel like it's worth it because my daughter gets to interact with other kids and she seems to enjoy it!"
"The Atlantis submarine tour is an interesting experience and a great way to spend a morning or afternoon. It's not too terribly long, so you'll have plenty of time to do other things with your day after the tour. They take you out to the submarine via a short boat ride and the submarine goes down to about 100ft. You'll see plenty of marine life and some artifacts that they've placed underwater for this tour including sunken boats and an airplane. Both the submarine and the boat ride to the sub were super comfortable and the guide does an excellent job explaining and pointing out the marine life and artifacts. A little pricey for how short the tour is, but overall I would recommend it for the novelty...after all, how often do you get the chance to ride in a submarine and go down 100ft? The shortness of the tour can also be a plus because it gives you the rest of the day to do something else!"
"One of my favorite finds for my toddler so far besides the ocean. I stumbled upon this place on Facebook and saw they had a open farm with a few Halloween activities. And let me tell you this place was very affordable and breathtakingly beautiful. They had a little playground for the Keiki, a huge mud kitchen, an area to feed the chicken and pet goats. We also got to pay to get a basket and pick our own produce. This is a hidden gem that I'm already so excited to go back to."
"My son did not want to leave! I had to drag him out kicking and screaming and we had already been then for 5 hours! Tues/thurs are $10 with unlimited playtime as long as you're there to chaperone. It's $5 for each additional child. I definitely recommend if you need a change up in your schedule or if you're just looking for fun things to do with your kids.I met Kim when I signed up, who I think is the owner? She was very nice, gave me a walk thru and showed me around the different areas. There is so much for the kids to do. My almost 1 year old loved the baby area. Everything was clean and organized. There are also classes available for the kids if they want to participate, if not they can just play their little hearts out. My son is already asking to go back, so we'll definitely be back soon."
"I've been taking classes with Hawaii Dance Bomb for a little over a year now, before their current location on Harding Ave in Kaimukī! I remember my first day jitters well, but the warmth, patience and unintimidating culture they've built amongst the instructors and students really sets HDB apart from other options on the island. They specialize in classes for children, but they also offer beginner-friendly adult classes in the evenings. I've pretty much just stuck with the K-Pop classes on Thursday nights and Saturday mornings; other options for adults include hip-hop and Afro Fusion. Thanks to HDB, I've gained a new interest in dance, something I never ever thought I'd develop as someone who's always been shy about their body. They offer a first-class-free promo, so there really is nothing to lose--who knows, you might gain a new hobby, too!"
"Overdue review: I wanted something different for my son's birthday party and thought this would definitely keep the kids entertained and engaged!! It was a hit with the kids and even the adults!!!! Definitely something different to consider for a kids party or event!!"
"How is it possible that Adventures in Art is not on Yelp??? Yes, they've changed locations over the years but it's still the same wonderful Miss Alison and same amazing kid art classes!!! My 9 year son has been taking art classes with Adventures in Art for the past 3 years. He's done just about anything you can think of! Charcoal sketches, acrylic paintings, clay sculptures, marionettes, and more!!! I'd be more specific but I'm not an artist. My son, on the other hand, is a naturally talented artist (I know you're thinking every parent thinks that way of their child, but mine really is LOL). When my son first started with Miss Alison, he struggled with completing projects and not being able to move past minor mistakes. Over the years, Miss Alison has really gotten to learn my son's ways and taught him that art is what you make it and it's not always perfect and symmetrical. Miss Alison keeps her classes small and affordable so she can work individually with each student. We tried a semester at the Honolulu Museum of Art School; my son loved it but the class sizes were so big I felt he was lost in the system and his talent wasn't tapped into well as it is with Miss Alison. Students don't have to be already be artists....Miss Alison will help them blossom into one! And if they're already amazing artists, she will help them explore other mediums and become even better artists!"
"-You may bring your own blaster/nerf gun to receive a discount. No need to bring bullets.-Reuse your pups of war socks if you've played here before or you have to purchase a new pair -Protective eyewear included (to be borrowed not kept) or bring your own-Ages 3 and older. My adult husband joined in on the fun too! -Sign a waiver prior to playing. We had the entire arena to ourselves! Originally they were going to turn us away as a party with 15 kiddos, their max, was about to show up. However, good thing they didn't because the party was a no show! I kind of felt bad, parties should put a deposit down. If they had turned us away, they would've lost more.. Anywho's, our small walk in party had a blast. But sadly our 2 year old couldn't play since the age starts at 3 years old to enter the arena..next year.. The workers were cool and awesome! They joined in on the fun while also ensuring the safety of our boys. There are nerf bullets all around to reload. Sanitizers are outside near the sitting area. Since there may be or may have been other kids touching these bullets, bring a small sanitizer while in the arena if you're a germaphobe. This was my son's second time playing so he already signed a waiver, or shall I say my brother took him and signed a waiver for him but his name wasn't in the system still, weird! Nevertheless, he is in the system now so we can come here and play again! Boys had a blast, maybe we'll come back so I can join in."
"My son could not get enough of Aunty's Beach House. He wanted to eat all his meals here, hahaha. You have to make reservations for their meals and on a few occasions they were full. Meals were $10. I heard enthusiastic team members entertaining the kids in the cute outdoor play area. Inside he made arts and crafts along with a movie room and a video game room. I love that they require hand washing upon entering and all meals and snacks. The dinners are a steal compared to the pricing everywhere else at the resort."
"Love this new place for kids to express themselves and create ART it's located in the cozy and lush Manoa neighborhood ... right past Serg's Mexican food and before the Fire Station in the blue bldg on the left hand side. All the details about parties, classes, camps, after school classes, homeschool classes, etc are on their website. We were invited to a 10th Birthday party here and it was so nice ... they have a comfortable setting for the parents, activities planned for the kids, and in 2 hours plus the kids had a blast and went home with their creations ! Lunch and cake were able to be brought in and bathrooms right next to the room the two ladies running the place were so kind and creative! Definitely recommend checking Oahu Bright Lab out ... maybe we will see you there Aloha"
"My daughter attends SoKnow Studio for Japanese language. She needed to transition to conversational Japanese and I found a place that can accommodate this need for her :) I needed specific days and times and they are able to accommodate us! She enjoys her weekly lesson and the price is very reasonable. Her instructor is very friendly and easily approachable and knowledgeable. Once my daughter's schedule is able to fit a music lesson in, I will sign her up for music lessons as I hear and see a lot of quality instruction and outcome(s) from their students."
"We had a bunch of 6 yr old boys here for a birthday party and they got down and dirty and had a great time. There were two parts to the 2hr guided nature hike/tour:NATURE HIKE1. Collect items to make a TERRARIUM...The boys (and a few brave girls)dug for worms, picked up rocks, sticks, leaf skeletons, seedlings, bugs, slugs, snails and piled them into a bucket.... (Since my son doesn't usually get to dig for worms, I think this was the highlight of the whole entire experience). 2. Along the way, they saw the Lo'i Kalo (taro patch), a colony of bees, and different types of flora/fauna. They also learned about decomposers, and a little bit about the life cycles of the plants/animals. The hike was short and easy, slightly uphill, and was very muddy and slippery. A few kids slipped on the way down, so you've been warned...they were covered with mud by the end of the trail... TIP: 1. WEAR INSECT REPELLANT. 2. Wear shoes that you don't mind getting all muddy. 3. WEAR BUG SPRAY.4. Wear long sleeved shirts/long pants.5. SPRAY THAT BUG SPRAY ALL OVER YOU. I had long sleeves with cuffs, long pants (with no openings) and sprayed my neck and face but the mosquitos still managed to bite my ass through my pants. (!!)When the boys got back to the pavillion, they assembled their terrariums. Miss Michelle was awesome and really got the kids into designing and building a self-sustaining ecosystem in their jar. The kids would have been completely happy with that, but then it was time for part 2:FISHING in Makiki Stream:The Hawaii Nature Center provided the nets for all the kids and Michelle took them down to the stream and explained where the best places were to find fish. Since it had just rained, the water was brown but all the kids managed to catch shrimp or fish and put them in in the buckets. They released their catch after they were finished (most of them did, anyway).TIP:1. WEAR BUG SPRAY.2. In a large group of boys, there is a very good chance that one of them will either jump in or get very wet. BRING EXTRA CLOTHES AND DRY SHOES.3. WEAR INSECT REPELLANT.4. Make sure your son does not put the shrimp in his pocket to take home. 5. Blah blah blah...BUG SPRAY.Birthday party for a bunch of boys=Awesome!"
"What do you get for someone who already has enough toys, clothes, books, food, and things? A PARADISE MONARCH!!!I've tried to raise a butterfly from caterpillar before, and they eat so much, and they're super picky so unless you have a lot of crownflower leaves, it's hard to keep up with them. (But it's super fascinating watching them spin their little green crysalis) When you purchase a paradise monarch, it comes as a crysalis already on a raffia and packaged in a clear box all wrapped and ready to give. They even give you instructions on how to care for them & tell you which day the butterfly is going to come out, and it was accurate each time. I bought 2 the first time for Christmas for my nieces, and they loved the experience of releasing the butterflies, I had to go back and buy another one. My sister loved it because it didn't make a mess, require assembly, batteries or parental assistance like most toys or gifts for kids that age. It's fascinating even for adults, I mean how do you even go from a crawling green worm like thing to a winged orange and black flying insect? It blows my mind. Did you know that most caterpillars don't make it to butterfly stage? They get eaten by birds etc or don't successfully transform into a butterfly. We successfully released all 3 butterflies I got from Paradise Monarch. Highly recommend!"
"My kid loves to go to the classes they offer during break. It's also nice to see that they focus on a finished product which the kids bring home at the end of the week."
"Our twin boys wanted to try parkour, so I came looking on Yelp. We found Coach Roland through these 5-star reviews, which are totally well deserved! He is fantastic! Great positive attitude, encouraging and yet challenging them. They absolutely love parkour class!'"
