"Pipeline has solidified its status for me as a "must visit" whenever I come to Oahu. Not everything they make is perfect. I found their seasonal gingerbread to be overpowering. But they'd make 3 things that I need when I want to taste vacation. 1) Lilikoi cheesecake bars. They are the epitome of tropical flavor to me. I love them. I can't get enough and yet I never buy enough because others in my traveling party devour them too!2) Strawberry Guava cake. Another tropical flavor. Great cake. 3) Chocolate chocolate cake. Hey! Not everything can be tropical and it resets your palette for more tropical flavors."
"The best in the neighborhood since we were kids. My friends that went to Punahou used to run cross country and Waiola Shave Ice would be the reward after a long run. Now I find myself in the area, looking at the line at Shimazu next to Rainbow Drive-in and driving past and headign to Waiola Shave Ice instead. It's a hidden gem at this point. Off the beaten path. For a few years Obama made it quite popular again with it being his Shave Ice of choice. Their shave ice is very finely cut and it has all the bells and whistles as well such as ice cream, condensed milk, azuki bean etc. There is plenty of parking and its off the main road, so it feels relaxing if you have to park on the street. The prices are still good, didn't go up too much. Overall a good choice for Shave Ice just outside of Waikiki without the crowd."
"This is where you can experience slowly eating an over the top ice cream cone. You have to order the bubble waffle cone. The first time I did it was by a mistake. The waffle cones are individually made and the ice cream is so creamy and delicious! The extra toppings make these cones an wonderful treat. You can almost make a dinner out of an waffle ice cream cone. Just imagine, chocolate bubble waffle cone, chocolate ice cream, two medium sized Reese's peanut butter cups, sprinkles, ultimately topped with chocolate syrup!! I highly recommend this establishment for a delicious dessert."
"The shop is just so cute and the ice cream was just amazing. The worst part was trying to decide which flavor to pick! Classics and local favorites means there is something for everyone."
"Love the hole in the wall! Really good shave ice and cool assortment of dried and pickled items."
"We came and purchased a blue vanilla and strawberry swirl float with Coke and condensed milk ($4 + $0.75 for the condensed milk). It only comes in one size (16 oz.). They give you the whole can of Coke, so you can just keep adding to the soft serve. We also got a bag of fresh buttered popcorn with extra butter, furikake and arare $5.75. Both items were good. I prefer the Coke float. It hit the spot on a hot day. The popcorn needed more butter and furikake."
"I was in Kapahulu today and saw a cute pizza shop and grabbed a slice today, I tried the kings special. The portions here are no joke and such a feeling amount! I and the manager was so sweet. I will definitely come back here again or order delivery :) thanks for the pizza experience."
"So before I start, quick overview of how I rate places. -3 Stars = It's good, glad I came but I probably wouldn't come back nor would I crave it or recommend it - 4 Stars = it's good and if I'm in the area, I will definitely come back. But I wouldn't go out of my way for it and I would recommend to someone if they are already in the area.- 5 stars = really good and I would probably drive over 30min just to get some more. Highly recommend other people try.Dessert is always tough cause it's hard to ruin plus you usually try it after you ate and are already full. This was the case here. And I was with a good friend so I was already in a good mood. Seating is a small area. Maybe seats like 10 people. And service was quick (it wasn't busy). Ice cream was good. Not sure I would specially come out here for it nor would I swing by if I was in the area, but recommend people try it if they have a sweet tooth."

In Oahu, most people probably head to Leonard's for malasadas, but I personally heard that Pipeline is a serious contender and had seen all their praise on Yelp. This said, we came to Pipeline specifically for their malasadas, although they offer a selection of baked goods and ice cream as well. Their individual-sized "cake bombs" looked particularly good! The malasadas here are not filled, but are instead just covered in flavored sugar, which comes in five varieties.... classic, cocoa, coffee, lihing (plum) and their special at the time, cinnamon. For $14.34, we got a box of six with two each of cocoa, coffee and cinnamon. After just a few minutes, an employee brought our box of malasadas out from the kitchen which were clearly made-to-order, as stated on their menu board. They were hot and fluffy and when I picked one up, I could hear the slight crinkle of the exterior. Upon first bite, it was light, soft and the dough had an elasticity where it slightly bounced back into shape. It was literally like biting into a cloud! While the malasada itself was excellent, we all thought the flavored sugar was very subtle. Although we could see fine grounds of coffee, cocoa powder and cinnamon, those flavors barely came through. All the malasadas tasted like a simple sugar donut with just a hint of flavoring. Also, a lot of the sugar didn't cling to the donuts and ended up covering the bottom of the box. The freshness of these malasadas can't be beat, but I can't say I was completely blown away. Nevertheless, I was happy to support this local business. Note: Parking is a little tough as it's located around a residential area with narrow roads. There is some metered parking across the street.

Yummy shaved ice that's perfect for a post-beach treat! I loved the consistency of the shaved ice and felt it was the best I had on my trip. I got lychee and lilikoi and it was SO refreshing. Absolutely enjoyed it.

I've been two Double Three at City Square Shopping Center (in Kalihi) twice and I've been extremely happy on both occasions. Double three is located in a small storefront, has no indoor seating, and is a few shops north of Kam Bakery. It should be noted that signage (and common sense) indicate that after you're done placing your order and paying, you should wait outside so others have space to order and pay as well. Now on to the good stuff, the dessert... let's get the obvious out of the way and roughly $14 for a dessert is not inexpensive. But is it worth it? In my opinion, yes it's worthwhile for a "special occasion" or "once in a while" treat. You won't find me here everyday or even every week. The bubble waffle cone comes out warm and very satisfying, the soft serve flavors are great with the texture being just right. The toppings are fresh and delicious, but not overwhelming in terms of quantity. There is a large variety of choices for toppings and cones, but soft serve choices are limited. Also be aware of the fact that you may be in for a wait as each cone takes time, but it shows in the presentation. As previously stated, this is a great special occasion or once in a while treat for both kids and adults. Check it out and I doubt you'll be disappointed.

This is a great dessert spot for those In Haleiwa that want to beat the north shore heat. Their gelato is so good! There's a ton of flavors to choose from, making it difficult for me to choose just two flavors. To my surprise, their lilikoi cheesecake was one of the best gelato flavors I've ever tried. It had the perfect balance of creamy and tart. The coconut was also creamy, but the flavor was a little more settled compared to the lilikoi cheesecake. The line gets long and their limited inside seating can get quickly snagged but they also have some seating outside. This spot is worth checking out!

What a cool place...The amount of time spent at New City Nissan you think I'd be here more often lol! Hidden down Umi Street which is right beside the dealership just past the storage place is this sweet place and yes parking is impossible in this area but they do have two stalls right beside the shop.Luckily I did manage to grab a stall and check out what they have to offer today as the flavors are posted clearly and ordering is easy first you choose a flavor, then the style (soft serve, shake, float or parfait) and third any toppings which all are additional. It was a Strawberry float and they have Coke or Sprite as the soda so it was Sprite and what they do is fill the cup with the soft serve and top it with soda and was surprised they gave me the rest of the can...no straw...no spoon!? Unlike before no seating as well so I stood there looking around with a cup and a soda can...hmmm!I didn't make the greatest choice it was okay and should've kept it simple and sadly it all went to waste and just a note if you're unsure you can sample any flavor which I encourage you to do so but I did grab a couple bags of popcorn in the fun color that's representing the Super Bowl teams (SF/KC) lol! Fun treats are definitely found here besides the usual like the Crispy Bar is new to me and with treats like these is always a party here.Thank you!

Went here with my husband to try it out as we had never had bubble waffles before. We shared a red velvet cone with cookies and cream ice cream and yummy toppings. Super cute presentation! It's a lot, so it is good to share with another person. I also had a tea (the salted cream one with boba) and loved that! The girl working, Iza, was super helpful in helping decide amongst the teas. They make the waffles when you order, so it is not super fast, but it is worth it and you can go sit on the fountain outside to enjoy.

"Shout out to Donna O. for sharing this place with me. I took my daughter, who is visiting from Portland, to pick up a few cups of sorbet and gelato. They were open for business. We picked up 2 Kona coffee sandwiches and a mix of gelato and sorbet. My daughter tried the Hawaiian Honey gelato. It was creamy, delicious and the taste of honey was amazing. 5/5 starsThe rest is for later consumption. Service: There is a very sweet and smiling lady who helped us with our order. She explained some of the flavors and she was informative and adorable. 5/5 stars Ambiance: it's a small front store operation with a big back factory space. 4/5 stars. It's pretty clean and orderly."
"Craving something fresh and delicious? Ditch the ordinary and dive into Yomei' house-made yogurt drinks and smoothies! Creamy, refreshing, and way healthier than your usual boba fix - this is the sip you've been waiting for. They use only Real Fruit, and as much local fruit when in season. They also make their own yogurt from scratch...Ready to taste the difference? So good I brought my son here to treat him for his birthday... a perfect treat for your family They are so nice and the service is friendly... they even had a wheel you can spin for free prizes...From the perfect boba pop,to creamy smoothies and fresh yogurt delights - they have your cravings covered! They are located ground floor of alamoana shopping center, on the makai side. Just go out the door of the food court , take a right and it's two doors down...Oh but just FYI,,, there is no tables inside so it's more of a grab and go spot ... so we got our order and enjoyed it upstairs by the fish ponds."
"I was in the area and wanted to purchase some takeout. There is a parking lot and they validate. They are not selling scoops right now. I was able to find a Kona Coffee Gelato and a Meyer Lemon Sorbet. I was told they use local lemons. They are both very tasty flavors. Smooth and rich coffee flavor. The Meyer lemon is very refreshing. No place to sit so more of a takeout of limited flavors."
"We got the strawberry cheesecake ice wave - so good! It's a large size, enough to share and good for the price. It's definitely kawaii in there - super cute location with good spots for pictures. The girls t the register was really friendly and kind. Would recommend this place especially on a hot day. You could take it and sit by the water after getting a coffee or tea from Island Brew as well, which made this taste so much sweeter."
"I'm obsessed with mochi and this is definitely the place to go in Honolulu! They have all the flavors: mango, taro, honeydew, strawberry, etc. My sister and I ordered a lot and they made sure we got the freshest batches and gave us some freebies. It was really lovely!"
"I was out in Kailua and spotted S7 Icy Bubble. I made a short stop inside and got two drinks. I got the Mango Smoothie and Mango Pomelo Sago. The Mango Smoothie was good. The Mango Pomelo Sago was off. They were heavy handed with the coconut milk. The whole drink tasted like coconut milk. I could barely detect any mango. If you like coconut drinks get this. They also sell rolled up ice cream at this location. I didn't get any, but the person behind me ordered it. It was fun watching the worker make it. It's like any other rolled up ice cream place. They flatten the ice cream base on the frozen slab and mix in your ingredients. When it hardens they roll up the ice cream and place it in a cup. They're like all the other S7 stores where they sell affordable items. I saw phone cases along with stationary for a few bucks. The worker also wanted $1 for the reusable drink holder. I found that to be weird, because the locations in town just give them to me for free when I purchase two or more drinks."
"The best. Vanilla ice cream. Chocolate dipped of course!Confession... this was my biggest pregnancy craving... and boy did it satisfy! Also, did you know DQ makes ice cream birthday cakes?! It's so delicious. Better than Baskin Robbins cakes in my opinion. Instead of whip cream, they use their soft serve vanilla ice cream!"
"Cool place ... roger that.We ate lunch at a recently opened local BBQ place in the same strip mall which has around 10 restaurants of all kinds here. Parking was adequate in the early afternoon but I am wondering how hard it may be to park at prime dinner time.Rajah Dat is a snack shop with various mostly local candies and treats. They have some strange stuff on sale too but I will let you discover those on your own. Because my concept of strange may not be as strange as yours. They also vend frozen yogurt. I asked for the frozen blue vanilla flavor which was a 4 out of 5. Not so creamy and flavorful but still pretty good.Just the thing you want on a hot and humid afternoon in August. Will be back when I'm in the area."
"The staff was amazing and provided great customer service and recommendations We will most definitely be returning"
"Love their signature milk tea boba, aloha taro boba, and their banana Nutella! A lot of the drinks taste great, but I think the yogurt rice drinks could use some improvement. Cowcow's still has the best rice yogurt boba. S7 Kunia, the yogurt drink tastes mostly like they just put the yakult drink with rice in it.. nothing special about the rice yogurt drink. This S7 is my favorite boba of all places. I like when they serve their boba soft warm and chewy. Sometimes, depending who is working, the boba is hard.Another fav are their ice cream roll desserts. My daughters love the cookies and cream one. I tried it and couldn't stop eating theirs. Didn't realize it was soooo delicious.Place is nice and spacious. Def recommend this boba place.. for those wondering, it's right across kunia Walmart in a little separate strip mall. They're also really fast at making the drinks."
"Wow I missed Via Gelato and I can't believe I have not been back here in so long. Since my last visit, Via Gelato has only gotten better. When I visited this week the place was buzzing. I love the location and space and service is still great. The flavors are tasty, Rocky Road, Cookies & Cream, Ube, Vanilla Bean, Salted Caramel, Chocolate Haupia, Guava, Green Tea Matcha. My wife and I shared a Grande Sunday and it was delicious. The Grande is perfect for sharin. We had three flavors of ice cream, Rocky Road, Salted Caramel and Cookies and Cream. The warm hot fudge, whip cream and Cherry was the highlight. Support Local and Kamaki and visit Via Gelato."
