"This place is a must go if you are in Oahu. You will pass by it if you are coming from or going to the airport, so feel free to stop by here to pick up some lunch when you arrive or before you leave. I tried 5 different poke, from diff style of Ahi, to King crab to tako, they are all fresh and super tasty. The flavor is balance so you can taste both the fish and sauce. The guy behind the counter is also very helpful. Me and my family ate the food so fast that I didn't even get a chance to take a picture. Will definitely come gain next time I am in Oahu"
"I always stop at this locally owned market when I visit Kailua. The historic market was built in 1932! They have a small sandwich shop in the back, a coffee station in front (serving Hawaiian coffee, of course) and convenience store items up front. I like that they carry locally made goods as well. This visit, I picked up red Hawaiian Volcanic Salt, which is hard to find. Prices were reasonable. The market is close to the beach, making it a perfect spot to grab lunch. Sandwich prices have gone up since my last visit, but the sandwiches are large and sharable. The clerks are friendly, helpful and efficient."
"Our new go-to market for all foods! Excellent service, great variety of foods, highly recommend coming here for the hot food bar and pizza. Really good coffee too! We've already returned many times, we plan on being regulars."
"So many vegan & Gluten free options! Especially on the hot bar! A paradise for those with dietary restrictions! All staff were very friendly and nice."

Came here to get some sashimi. Good quality fish. Different grades of tuna and got king salmon from NZ too but I had to skin it and pick some small bones out. Price was OK, not cheap but not ridiculously expensive. The tuna belly was $42 per lb. Their octopus was good. There were 2 kinds. The more expensive one was supposed to be more tender. Their crab shrimp scallop poke was to die for. I'd totally come back just for that alone. It's a small market with a small parking lot but I was lucky to find parking. Staff were friendly enough. Depends on who's serving you. One guy seemed more easygoing and was willing to do more with the fish than another.

This is a review primarily of the bulk section. Fantastic variety of spices and herbs with plenty of supplies needed for each customer. The other part of the bulk section was well maintained and tidy as well.

This review focuses mainly on their deli / smoothie bar. This is a true 3.5 stars and I would usually round up but simply because I have had better experiences at their Kapolei location- I know that they can do better. I have now had a couple so-so experiences here and for the price, we're really expecting greatness. So, my friend was RAVING about her acai bowl order and instead of apple juice or soy milk she adds coconut cream and when blended in it tastes like ice cream. Obviously, I'm automatically sold. So, me and my friend come in together and she orders it the same exactly way that she said she has ordered many of times at another location.... except this time the coconut cream doesn't get blended in and is instead dropped on top. I even remember seeing them make the bowl and noticed they didn't put the coconut cream in the blender - so without soy or apple juice to add moisture it was a bit icy. Most recently I heard everyone talking about their new smoothies (once again with the coconut cream, we love a trend). I had to circle the parking lot a few times but my friend was lucky and found a spot easy, so she went in and ordered the two smoothies for us. One blissful berry, and one recovery (the blue one). Another one of our friends with us ordered on the app and got her smoothie (F-bomb) promptly. We ended up waiting a bit and having to ask about our order since we didn't see any smoothies being made behind the counter. Shortly after our two other smoothies were ready. Except, one of the smoothies was more like a juice while the other was creamy and cold like a smoothie should be. I felt sooo bad, since my friend had bought my drink and my smoothie was clearly so much better than hers. Of course, being the good friend that I am, we ended up splitting the good smoothie. This location is really convenient for me, nearby where I take pilates. I will definitely be back and will update my review with hopefully more consistent orders from the deli. I do love the huge dining space here -- other locations don't have as nice of seating for the hot bar and deli. Pro tip for next time: I will be ordering online ahead of time!

Definitely one of the best Safeway's in terms of variety and options on everything! Mainly came here for the frozen foods, produce, meat, and canned goods.Great location! Nice and spacious on the inside. Lots of room for the amount of customers they service. Wide aisles. Clean. Lots of staff working. Ample parking available as well. Can't complain! If you are able to make the drive, I highly suggest it.

From the outside it does not look like much but once you step inside and start talking to the wonderful young ladies inside, you'll soon feel way more at ease. They have a bunch of great food options from poke to katsu and so much more! I decided to go with the Ahi Katsu plate and I was really happy I did! So good! The ladies cooked it up for me and when I opened it at home It was still hot, while the Mac salad was still cold! I couldn't stop filling my face! The prices were really fair and everyone was ridiculously nice to me. I do wish they had a better beer selection though. I am glad that I did not judge this place on the outside when most places in this area look a little iffy but turn out to be delicious! Get the ahi katsu!

Awesome food, clean shop, bad parking. The service is straightforward and quick, which I appreciate because when I'm hungry I just want my food asap. My favorite is the combo with crispy pork and wasabi ahi! Hands down the best. This place is moderately priced but well worth the price when you consider the high quality of the food. Although parking is available right in front of the business, the number of stalls are limited and it can get very busy during regular meal times. The ambiance is reminiscent of a convenience store, which half of it is one. Really good food!

"Shopping in Waikele, O'ahu, Hawaii...Located between Old Navy Outlet and Lowe's, Safeway is a spacious, clean, tidy oasis for grocery gathering. Besides having a wonderful bakery and deli department, there's a fabulous produce area, frozen foods cases, and aisles of spices, condiments, and ethnic ingredients! There are two restrooms: one in the front at the Floral corner, and one in the back where the dairy items are.Service is helpful and friendly. Workers are welcoming and encourage customers to return!"
"So I guess you saw my attempt (last week) when I was attempting to get my Garlic Chicken fix @ K & K Kitchen but totally failed! What a difference a week makes, as today I was successful!!! Yay me! Lol!I had bookmarked this joint called - "T & L Market" in Kalihi, because after seeing the pics of da grindz from a few of my Yelp buddies, I told myself that I should check this place out one day. While doing some online training modules in my office, when lunch time rolled around, I told my coworker if he like check out T & L Market?I'd figure if I took my friend with me, if I could not find parking, I would have my friend drive my car around the block a few times while I ran inside to pick up some lunch time grindz for both of us.I guess the parking gods were lookin' out for me, because when I got to T & L Market, someone had just pull out of the parking lot, so I swooped into the parking space! SCORE!!!Upon walking into the joint, the menu is posted on the wall. There were several fixed plate lunch menu items, or if you want to make a custom plate for yourself, they had a lot of ala carte daily items (see my take out menu pic I posted).Don't want a plate lunch? I also noticed this business sold some bakery items (not sure if they make the pastries themselves, or if they catered it in), candy, & drinks.Although T & L Market is known for their noodles & fried chicken, I opted for the Garlic Chicken Plate because I didn't get my garlic chicken fix last week, and I was so craving for my garlic chicken. For $12.00 smackaz, I got two scoops white rice, a scoop of mac salad, & a whole bunch of boneless garlic chicken. My friend opted for the Mini Garlic Chicken Plate ($9.00) which was the same as my plate, minus a scoop of white rice, and maybe a little less garlic chicken. What can I say about the grub? The food here was pretty good, but not great. The Garlic Chicken marinade was different from what I would get from Sugoi's or K & K Kitchen. The garlic marinade was not as garlicky, or sweet, but some folks like it like that. As for me, I just LOVE Sugoi's garlic chicken marinade, so you probably know which I would prefer. Overall, the prices here are very reasonable, and for what you pay, and what you get, I must say it's DEALAGES Yo!The next time I come here, I will try their noodles & fried chicken, because after all, if you check out all the pics from this business, you'll see a lot of noodles & fried chicken pics! Lol!"
"Small store in Maili right on Farrington Highway. Put your blinker on as you're passing the outdoor swap meet. Here you'll find drinks, snacks, poke and ono plate lunches made fresh. Check out their pupu fridge as it's always changing with ono local grinds."
