"Halo halo taste just right! With Ube halaya, Ube ice cream macapuno, leche flan, nata de coco and banana..so goood! Worth the price."
"There are a million places to get a "plate lunch" in Oahu, but this was my first time eating "Guava chicken"... They host a stand towards the south edge of the Swap Meet close to the dining/seating area... Just follow the smell of the grill and you will be sure to find it!PRICES:Guava Chicken Reg Plate $7.00 2 scoops of white Rice and Macaroni saladMini Plate $5.50 Single scoop 1 scoop of white Rice and Macaroni saladKalbi Regular Plate $8.00Mini Plate $6.00Everything is cooked on the spot and your food is served fresh and hot! The macaroni salad is good and not bland in flavor like some other plate lunch joints! The texture of the chicken is so tender... the Guava marinade is amazingly good... I destroyed the chicken in under 20 minutes! The kalbi had a lot of meat on it... again, amazing marinade! Tender and not too much fat... MORE MEAT THAN BONE!I definitely recommend the Chicken if you haven't had Guava-Chicken yet!"
"Second time around-much better. Garlic shrimp were large, hot and good garlic flavor. Same generic white rice and a fresh salad. Topped it off with a root beer float. Still not best i've had but glad i gave them a second chance."
"Teruya's is located on Pensacola St., in the same block as Aunty Pasto's and Von's Chicken. There are metered stalls along the street, and it can get busy during lunch time in this area, so I really don't know when I'd be coming back. I had an appointment in the area though, and I was looking for a snack, so this was a perfect choice.Teruya's is not a sit down restaurant. It is a little take out counter in the doorway of a little room where they make all the bentos and handrolls. When I went at about 11:30, there was a small line, but it moved quickly. I ordered 2 shrimp tempura rolls and at $3.50 each, I thought it was a little expensive, but I guess I'm used to Kozo sushi sizes, because Teruya's handrolls are twice as big as Kozo Sushi's. They made the handrolls fresh and I waited just a couple minutes for them. The cashier gave them to me in little sandwich bags which I have never seen before. I knew they were going to be good because I could smell them even before I was able to dig in. They tasted freshly made and they add a sweet sauce to the rice for more flavor. It was a perfect accompaniment to the crunchy shrimp tempura. I was rather full after eating two. So much for a snack. Service was fast and friendly. I would definitely try other bentos they offer if parking wasn't so difficult. I some people illegally parked, but I don't think I would chance it. I could see a lot of the Kaiser workers or other office workers in the area coming to get lunch here because it's fast and delicious."
"Fresh delicious and convenient! A local recommended this spot and it was exactly what I needed/wanted. I loved the autographed surf photos that is ohana vibes.. I genuinely just wanted to relax and enjoy some shade after snorkeling for 3 hours. Also the liquid death peach was hitttttting! I even order another one. The banana bread mochi was something I'd never had but was excited to try. I'd highly recommend! Just wish I had more people to share it with since it was decently sized. I could tell the workers/owners take care of this place."
"This place is a popup that was right across the street from City Mill in Kaimuki, in front of the old Midas. I love the resurgence of food stalls in the area, despite the inevitable lines that come with them. I waited for the line to die down to stop by and try their tacots, which were ready in less than five minutes. Apparently this cart is the owners' side project and they're managing a taco cart and salsa business on top of other jobs. I got one of each type available, which included carne asada and potato, just potato, and chorizo. The tacos came with cilantro, onion, jalapenos, and pickled radish on the top. They have a few salsas available and, after first ordering the spiciest, opted for medium. The salsa is very tasty. Kind of garlicky, smokey, and a little sweet. The medium wasn't spicy at all, maybe Shin ramen level. The different fillings tasted more or less the same--very tasty, spicy and charred, but with different textures. The potato is a strong choice if you're vegetarian.Overall cool spot and I wish them the best when they reopen in July."
"Nicky's is still as good and she's still as friendly!! My go-to's are the garlic chicken plate with noodles/fried rice and mac salad and the roast turkey plate. And my kids love the spam musubi. But you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Line is usually long but moves quickly! Plus, at least you can stand in the shade while in line."
"I've always seen a long line for Little Sparrow at the Mililani Farmers Market on Sunday mornings... but I never tried their food until recently! The lady taking my order was so nice and friendly! Make me feel comfortable ordering as a first timer!I decided on their CBM which comes with Spinach lemon spaetzle, grilled chicken, mushrooms, bacon, garlic, hearty greens, house cheese blend, scallions, and paprikash sauce. The bowl was $17 and the portion was enough to feed my mom and I. It was nice and warm, savory, and cheesy! There was little cheese pulls as I was eating and that made me really happy!I can't wait to try more of their menu the next time I see them :)"
"Literally one of the best pizzas I have had on the island-I've eaten pizza all over Italy-and many states. I love pizza! If you have hesitated getting one don't! Their service is amazing and so friendly. Even have nice ambiance for a food truck with the music and smiles. They come to Saturday market in Waianae mall and can sell out. The dough is perfect and their flavors are so ono-I keep begging them to open over here but please support these two west side boys cause they out here killing it!"
"Great place to bring family and support local vendors of crafts and food with some first class entertainment on a live stage. So many food stalls and trucks to choose from it was difficult to choose which one to eat from in the end we ended up at Kababa Mama's stall, the home of Mama's Smash Burger, only we went for the grilled Chicken Shawarma which was just an outstanding dish, squeeze of lime over tender pieces of chicken thigh, with a layer of Tzatziki sauce, feta cheese, diced tomatoes, pickled onions and finely diced cucumber on grilled pitta bread. For vegetarians they also have a veggie Falafel Smash with Chickpeas, Tzatziki, Feta, Tomatoes, Pickled Onions and Cucumbers. The lines were long and the wait even longer but so worth it. I even grabbed one to go just as the event was closing down, it was that good. The amount of vendors at this event is well worth a visit, lots of choices and quality merchandise. For the last few months the event has been scheduled for the last Friday of the month in the Alaloa parking lot at Windward Mall ( Mauka side of Alaloa St.). As the Mall parking fills quickly they do run a shuttle from King Intermediate, although they are charging for this, which goes towards a worthy cause supporting the school's band."
"I am loving this food truck trend.Wife and I were starving after a hard workout and needed some quick grinds. Luckily for us we rolled upon this event at Enchanted Lake Elementary. Wife went to the 5-0 Ribs truck and got, well, the ribs. Tasty and tender. She also gave me a sample of the brisket which tasted like some kinda meat heaven. The guys at the 5-0 Ribs truck were sooo friendly with great service. I went to the We're Cooking Fresh For You Truck and got the steak with pesto on brown rice and salad plate. It was actually quite healthy and had a nice side of fresh apple and pineapple slices. Fun events aside from food. Drag racing cars revving their engines. Live music. Dancing. Basket hoop games. Great place for kids. Then our demons came out.We went to the Aloha on Wheels Truck and got the dreaded...The breaded.....DEEP FRIED SNICKERS WITH BACON on a stickSo much for working out. I can't finish this review without commentary on the name. Perhaps my mind is more twisted than most, but why name an event that sounds like you made it to 3rd base on your date with a woman named Kailua?Dining Out with Friendly Food Trucks and Drag Racers with Dancing In Enchanted Lakes.Fix'd."
"It appears that this little pop-up has found a real brick and mortar home at Wicked Hi Cafe up in Waialua.See their Yelp page here: https://www.yelp.com/biz/wicked-hi-cafe-waialuaPizza still amazing, but now with regular hours and no wondering where they are going to pop up that day."

Cute pink trailer...That's what you're looking for to squash that sweet cravings as this cute little trailer is one in few in the Pearlridge Center former Sears parking lot that's home to a few food trucks including Halo Halo Craze.Offering treats like the classic beloved Halo Halo in many different forms though since it's the hottest time of the summer afternoon it has to be a bit more refreshing so it was the Italian Cream Soda for me and with a bunch of flavors available Guava sounded interesting and was a treat.Need to be shaken as all the syrup is on the bottom slightly shaken and stirred it was just the sip I craved. The single staff is sweet I imagine is the owner but informed of the various other flavors that may have not been listed as well.Support local and small as they do provide you with great treats to make your day that much better.Thank you!

This place is amazing. Some of the best ribs and chicken I've ever had. The macaroni and rice sides were also excellent. The staff are very animated and friendly. All the food is excellent and and fair priced. Don't forget to try the sauces and bring cash!

My five star review is based on location, hours, and gluten free food availability. It is around the corner from our home, it was open at 20:30. They were knowledgeable about wheat/gluten allergy restrictions. They have 100% corn tortillas in addition to flour tacos. Their corn tortilla taco plate and salad option are gluten free. My husband had the nachos with sweet pork and said "this is really good, another place I can eat, less cooking for me". He is the pickier eater between the two of us. Maybe next time we'll dine in and enjoy an adult beverage with our meals and do dessert. I'll have to check out the flan. They had tres leches cake for the other dessert. Cute merchandise is available for purchase.

This cute little hole in the wall spot has several varieties of bentos to choose from, as well as andagi and sweet potato mochi. Included on the menu as well are donburi bowls and rolls. They also offer plain white rice and fried chicken for those that don't want the sozai (side dishes)We ordered several few chicken rolls (kind of like a chicken musubi) and andagi. The chicken was tasty and cooked well and the andagi was yummy. When you walk up to the door, there is a table which has the bento selections and sweet potato mochi and andagi. The employee at the order table was very nice. There were other employees working inside and out order came out quickly.I would definitely return to buy a bento or two. This place is great for a quick bite, lunch, or even just a snack for yourself or to share.

After hours of snorkeling at Shark's Cove, my family and I walked across the street to Pupukea Grill for lunch. This is a stationary food truck. They provide shaded outdoor seating - 6 tables and 1 bench. We were famished, so we placed our orders and patiently waited for our food. I had the following: Spicy Tuna Poke bowl - good flavor, but a small portion. I expected more for the price ($16). Also, I didn't enjoy the rice. It was a little undercooked or old (hard texture). Chicken quesadilla - my son ordered this and I took a bite. I don't recommend this; it was bland. The beans and rice lacked seasoning also. Overall: 3.5-starsMy family enjoyed their Kalua pork quesadillas and raved about it, so I increased my rating and rounded up.

Cute little taco cart that's fronting a auto store in kaimuki. They only pop up on Sundays but you have to check their Instagram if they'll even be there. It's owned by a family and they're always so friendly and welcoming. The food is pretty affordable and the tacos taste great too! They always give my little dog meat whenever we go and then he refuses to leave. They are also very clean at the cart. Sanitation and gloves are used and they even have a working sink and wash their hands periodically.

Very few lunch wagons are legendary, and Nicky's is a part of that elite list. I used to eat at Nicky's decades ago when they fed loads of hungry drivers/cargo workers/anyone in the know by the Airport. They moved years ago to Mililani st downtown right by the post office. The daughter was just a toddler when I began eating here and now she runs the business. She works hard, provides exemplary service and the plates are onolicious! Fresh, hot and the flavors are always dependable, so your fave will always be just as you'd hoped. Support this classic food truck, but please save some beef stew for me!!!

As someone who grew up eating home-cooked Spätzle, I was delighted to find this place at the farmers market either Kailua on Thursday evenings or Kakako on Saturday mornings. This is especially true in O'ahu, where there isn't much German or central European food available. Food is bursting with flavor and fresh veggies toppings. Have tried all flavors, but enjoy the truffle the best. The noodles are freshly made and definitely have the right texture, flavor and composition. They would be Oma approved! Service has always been friendly and the wait time is typically 10 minutes after placing order, so don't wander off to far and make them shout your name out aimlessly.

"Conveniently located at our hotel! Perfect spot after a long day out. We lost track of time and ended up strolling back to our hotel late after exploring. So glad we were able to have a meal right by the pool. It's a really beautiful scene with the string lights, and some relaxing loungers. At the time they seemed a bit understaffed so things were a bit slower. There were lots of guests for the marathon so I appreciated the server checking in every now and then to make sure we were okay. Not a bad meal for a convenient and chill spot."
"Luau Bombs has changed Saturday night dinner at home for me & the husband. I discovered them at the KCC farmers market. They had a vegan laulau , which is a rare fine. Took it home, steamed it up for dinner and now it's on the weekly menu. Last week I decided to try the fish laulau. I ordered the miso butterfish and lemon caper mahi. They usually have the butterfish, though the lemon caper mahi mahi was a unique flavor. For $6 each, they're quite affordable. They take cash or Venmo. They also have a stamp card. After 10 purchases, you get 1 laulau of your choice for free."
"There were many things that made my experience at Lanikai Mochi enjoyable, but if I had to choose one, it would be the delectable mochi. The variety of flavors and textures they offer are simply amazing. The combination of the soft and chewy mochi with the sweet fillings was absolutely perfect. My son is gluten free and sensitive to preservatives. I was so happy that he can enjoy these Hawaiian treats that I bought 32 pieces. Since they are free of preservatives and are made of high quality ingredients. It is best to consume them by 1-3 days. If not consume right away then freeze them for up to one month. Yukio and Janet are amazing and kind. They really stand behind their products. I posted their detail instructions on the best way to consume these delicious Mochi."
"Food: We ordered the porchetta sandwich and it was amazing! You get the crispy ciabatta, leafy arugula, fatty pork with crunchy skin, sweet caramelized onion and tangy tomato confit. Everything works so well together. Service: The lady taking our order was very nice and it didn't take too long to get our food. We just walked down the row of food tents and back.Ambiance: I really liked being able to see the chicken and porchetta being cook on the rotisserie as well as them constructing the sandwich in front of you.Price: it's a little pricey, but the sandwich is so good that I'd say it's worth it."
"Hand-pulled Chinese noodles that have a great kick (spicy level 1-4) and great flavors at about $17-$19. They started at the Kakaako Farmers Market and now have their own shop in Chinatown! A simple shop with about 6 tables. Friendly gal at the cash register and I could see the guy in the back pulling the noodles so I knew it'd be good. Will be back!"
"Coffee was amazing! Definitely recommend the Iced Macadamia Nut Latte just the perfect amount of sweetness. The owner is also so sweet and was very efficient!"
"We ordered the Scampi and it was definitely worth it the hype, so buttery and garlicky and delicious. I also tried the lemon butter which was also pretty good but I'd get the scampi if I ordered again. We got lucky with quick service, but right before us, there was a line!We also got lucky with a table nearby as it was outdoors with picnic/bbq vibes with other food trucks nearby."
"At the Okinawan Craft Fair today, sampled Mandy's Munchies gourmet flavored marshmallows in lilikoi, chocolate, pineapple, candy cane, and cinnamon swirl. Ono! Bought the chocolate, cinnamon swirl, and the lilikoi flavors, 3 packages for $15. Woo hoo!"
"I was walking around the Kakaako Farmers Market on Saturday morning and looking for a delicious and affordable bite to eat. There are not a lot of affordable options anymore, sadly, so I'm so glad we stopped at A-Ma's Gua-Bao. For $6 we got to try a pork belly gua bao, which was amazing. There were tender pieces of pork belly with cilantro, shredded carrots, and crushed peanuts in a soft "manapua bun." So good! After we ordered we waited a few minutes at a nearby table in the shade, and when I went back, my food was ready. Service was nice and quick. And I'm glad I spent $6 to try something new and yummy. Worth every cent! I recommend A-Ma's Gua Bao! Looking forward to trying other flavors next time."
"I was at the Walmart in Pearl City about two weeks ago and spotted the pink truck in the parking lot. I was in luck and could spot this pink truck a mile away. This meant I'm getting my poi mochi fix and Uncle Lani makes the best poi mochi. A box of twelve is now $10 and comes with your choice of poi or haupia drizzle. I purchased a box and got it with haupia drizzle. Omg...it was so good. It just came out of the fryer; so it was hot, crispy and chewy. They also have a brick and mortar location at Ka Makana Ali'i. If not, just be on the lookout for this pink truck."
"I had been scrolling through Instagram on my lunch break yesterday when I happened to come across a post that indicated that Muki Dogs' Waikiki location had temporarily (?) relocated to Kaka'ako for the time being. And not just anywhere in Kaka'ako, but Mother Waldron Park to be exact, which is literally within walking distance from my workplace. Since I never have the chance to go by Waialae Ave. (their first/main location), I figured that now would be as good a time as any to stop by and see what the hype was all about. I walked over around noon with my boss and coworker and initially, I had panicked as I thought I had misread the post, but for those walking on foot, especially from Punchbowl area, Muki Dogs will be located at the farthest end of the park (adjacent to the food trucks). Just keep walking and you'll be able to spot Gene (the owner) as we had. Once we got to the stand, I had promptly ordered 2 Miso Kake and 1 The Works, to which Gene had jokingly asked if they were all for me. I clarified that 2 of the 3 were mine, so he wasn't completely off the mark, but I felt bad as I have RBF and face masks only serve to increase the severity of said expression, so Gene must've took my response as offended when I was just hangry. But if I had to be perfectly honest, I could easily eat four of these in one sitting and not be sorry lol. In any case, once I had ordered and paid for my dog, my boss and coworker also ordered as well, and Gene went straight to work on our orders. For those visiting for the first time, they currently have two options: 1) The Works, which is a very traditional hot dog with relish, sriracha mayo, ketchup, mustard, and Spanish crumble, and 2) Miso Kake, which is an Asian inspired hot dog full of umami flavors, with pickled scallion, sriracha mayo, miso paste and furikake crumble. I ended up getting one of each for myself since I wanted to see what the difference was in terms of flavors. Gene is really quick too as I believe it only took about 5-10 minutes, if even that long, to prep our orders, and my boss had even commented that Gene had some Top Chef moves when it came to our orders. Before we knew it, Gene thanked us for waiting and gave us a bag (no charge) full of our hot dogs and we headed back to the office for a taste test. So for those short on time, this would be a perfect place to stop by and grab a quick bite. I wasn't sure what to expect from a vegan hot dog, but I know one of the things that stood out to me about most of the reviews for Muki Dogs was that it didn't actually taste like a vegan hot dog. So with that in mind, I dug into The Works first and absolutely loved every bite I took. I think what's great about The Works is that because it mimics a traditional hot dog with the ketchup , mustard, and relish, it's almost as if your mind automatically makes the connection, and with the addition of the sriracha mayo and the Spanish crumble, there's an additional creamy, slightly spicy, and crunchy component that only emphasizes how delicious the hot dog is. In fact, I can very well see how someone could easily not even realize they were eating a vegan hot dog (it was that good!). The Miso Kake was also a good option and a perfect alternative for someone looking for a different type of hot dog. The miso paste and the sriracha mayo lend a nice creamy/salty flavor base for the pickled scallions and the furikake crumble, and the texture you get from each bite is absolutely divine. However, I do think that if you're not a fan of umami flavors, that this might not be the hot dog for you as it does somewhat emphasize the vegan hot dog more so than The Works. Overall, if you happen to be in the area or are interested in trying out a vegan hot dog, I would highly recommend visiting Gene at the Muki Dogs stand, especially as they are now stationed in Kaka'ako, which is quite convenient for anyone who has wanted to visit but never found the time to do so. The hot dogs are a little on the pricier side, but nothing like Hank's Haute Dogs nearby, and you will be left feeling full and content without the regret. Plus, Gene seems like a really nice guy who cares about the food that he makes, and it shows not just in the way he makes the hot dogs but also in the way that the flavors come through. And if that doesn't sell you, well...aren't you at least a little bit curious as to what a vegan hot dog tastes like? Best stop by to find out!"
"First time trying their mochi today, picked up from sun windward mall farmers market. I was hesitant to purchase at first because it is very pricey but i always try to support local. Tried the kulolo, coco lilly, and cookie butter and they were all sooo good! Very happy with purchase! Also service was friendly and quick! Im looking forward to try more of their flavors!"
"Burgers + Burritos = Happiness!!!During several foraging visits at the Honolulu Farmers Market, we have passed by Burgers & Burritos Hawaii (BBHI) as aromas of their fresh grilling hamburgers or toasting flour tortillas would fill the air. We've passed by enough times to have "studied" their menu so that we could decisively order once we patiently waited in line for our turn. We'd watch the female worker who worked as an order taker, cashier, and plate prep while the male worker focused his grilling skills on the plancha (similar to a flat top griddle). This food stall definitely gets busy as we've seen and been in lines of 10-deep. There was something in the back of my mind that told me that I had either read or heard about BBHI before and sure enough, Yelp Bud Fran C wrote an effusive review about BBHI in April 2020.Their burger menu offers 4 different styles: Classic, Hawaiian, Specialty, or Portabello. BBHI also offers an Island-style Sonoran Dog which is an all-beef hot dog wrapped in bacon and grilled and topped with onions, bell peppers, and roasted garlic aïoli. I didn't ask what qualifies this dish as "Island-style" but I'm assuming that it's because it's NOT your typical Sonoran dog that is served with beans, tomatoes, onions, jalapeño sauce, and mayonnaise. As good as these burgers and Sonoran dog looked, we came to BBHI for their LA-inspired taqueria Mexican food. Oh, how I looked forward to having my taste buds tickled with Cal-Mex specialties. So, we ordered the following items.-Chile Verde Plate: The menu described this dish as braised tender pork chunks in their homemade green chile sauce (Chile Verde). The Chile Verde is served as a choice of either burrito-style or on a plate with rice and black beans. Condiments on this plate were dollops of guacamole and sour cream or was it crema (Mexican sour cream)? Indeed, this chile Verde made from tomatillos, poblanos, and jalapeños had some spice kick but was easily mellowed by the crema. I rolled some of the flavorful pork chile Verde into the steaming hot street taco corn tortillas and found myself wanting another 2 more tortillas to sop up the sauce. This takeout plate was generously portioned and I still got full even though I shared it with my husband. $11.-Quesadilla with Meat: My husband chose chicken meat from among beef, pork, and chicken to fill this quesadilla. The flour tortilla quesadilla was loaded with pico de gallo and lots of cheese. There were dollops of guacamole and crema to complement the quesadilla. My husband asked for a couple of containers of red salsa to accompany his quesadilla. He warned me that the red salsa was spicier than the chile Verde which I had already found out about after dipping a piece of chicken from a quesadilla and feeling the chile burn in my throat. $10The menu items at BBHI are limited but are flavorful and really remind me of LA's Guisado's or Roast-To-Go. Prices are reasonable for the fresh made-to-order food and the service is friendly. We'd gladly return to try more of their Cal-Mex offerings or if we're in the mood for a burger, their Classic cheeseburger looks quite appetizing. We'll be back again since both burgers and burritos DO make us Happy!"
"Who doesn't love fresh, made to order hand rolls and sushi? Oh, that crispy nori!Ilea's Kitchen is a true mom and pop food stall at the Kaka'ako and Kailua Farmer's Market offering that!I came to the Kaka'ako one. Each hand roll is $8, but cheaper with each additional one (2 for $15, 3 for $22, all the up to 8 for $57). There are regular and torched hand rolls with options from ahi to salmon to Hokkaido scallop to Big Island Kanpachi. For sushi rolls, they offer a Mommy's and Daddy's roll for $19.This time I got the Seared Ahi with Black Sesame Sauce Torched hand roll. Oh my goodness, that black sesame sauce was so tasty and flavorful! Really strong black sesame and soy and umami taste. I'd put that sauce on everything!Next was the Torched Salmon with spicy mayo and Unagi sauce. This one needed more sauce. While the salmon was good, and did get some Unagi sauce, it wasn't enough, so it was on the bland side. The spicy mayo didn't seem like it was in there. Didn't get any spice kick.Overall, I enjoyed it! Price was fine. Everything was fresh and solid quality. The owners were nice. Would visit to try other rolls! That black sesame sauce was awesome!Forgot to take photos as my hands were full! And hungry!"
"Mexican food is one of my favorites. I miss the days of having the food truck one block away from where I lived cooking tacos and burritos at 12 am. The aroma was intoxicating. Yep I used to stuff my face after work past midnight. Lol well the hubs had to do a few errands on base and it was past lunchtime. That means we are grabbing food somewhere. He mentioned that he ate a few tacos sold out of a little shack, and thought I would like to try it out. I perused the short menu and opted for the chicken burrito plate. It came with a side of rice and refried beans. Our order was ready within 5-10 minutes. I poured some hot sauce over it and we both brought it home to devour. The presentation was standard nothing fancy. My initial reaction when I took a bite out of the burrito was that it was ok. It was filling since the meal consisted of a lot of starch from the tortilla. I thought there was lack of chicken and more filling of the rice. Unfortunately, the side of rice and beans were bland. Maybe we came on a off day. I wouldn't mind trying again. :)"
"If you are ever at the Kaka'ako Famers Market, you HAVE TO stop by Izu's Mochi!!! This place makes the best mochi I've had on island so far. There are so many different flavors! My favorite is the matcha one! The mochi itself is nice and soft. It is topped with like a matcha icing and then filled with like a matcha pudding. So for matcha lovers, it's perfect! Not only is the mochi amazing, but the prices are great too! I've seen other mochi places that charge upward of $8 for one mochi! But each flavored mochi is only $3 (except for the strawberry one, that one is $5). So good food and great prices, what more could you ask for?! Oh yeah, good service! Haha.Every time I've gone to pick up my mochi, I've always been greeted warmly and with a smile. Always a good experience. Whenever I am in town at this farmers market, I ALWAYS stop by Izu's. NOTE: You might want to get there early. I went an hour before the market closed last week and they were sold out of pretty much everything. (Because everything is so good that's why:)"
"Fast, fun, delicious. This is the most fun way to eat handmade ice cream. Not only is the icecream super tasty, but you get a show as he makes it right in front of you. Starting with milk base he adds in the flavor, mixes and rolls it right there. Lots of free toppings as well.Tucked into a food truck pod off of Kuhio. There's seating but no shade. Best to come at night for a late night treat. $10 per cup. Bring chopsticks for a truly fun eating experience."
"A beautiful Ohana are the owners of this delicious and healthy Veggi Dog business located at Diamond Head KCC Farmers Market every Saturday from 8:00 am to 11:00 am . Reggi and wife Sue along with their son Braden makes all the delicious and tasty Veggi dogs with a wide variety of toppings . I order my Veggi dog plain and well done . So flavorful and healthy too . It's kool and refreshing on those hot Hawaiian mornings .they are also at the Kailua Farmers Market every Sunday . Stop by and have a delicious Veggi dog for a snack or lunch time meal . Their main location is on. Kapahulu avenue in front of the Running Room .I always enjoy visiting my favorite Ohana and enjoy my Veggi Dog . Thank you Sue and Reggi for creating those delicious and healthy Veggi Dogs . Aloha and mahalo"
"So delicious and juicy... this mochi is so good. I visited her stand at Kaka'ako farmers market. If you want fresh fruit mochi, this is it!"
"For this month, vendors are located by Blaisdell Concert Hall. They are at Blaisdell Farmers Market on Wednesdays from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The staff makes the food right there so food is fresh. There is a great selection on the menu. I haven't been to the Pig and the Lady but went to Piggy Small at Ward Centers. My order was Clay Pot Pork Belly and Shrimp with yellow rice."
"They have kombucha, green smoothies, and sugar cane juice here! Great spot for your health conscious ppl! They also sell healthy gluten free crepes here as well. Great lil spot to try in the Kahuku area right next to Giovanni's shrimp truck."
"Art + Flea Kapolei event is a welcomed "attraction" for the west side. Fishfoodhawaii happened to be one of the food vendors. We were excited to try their poke bowl and the kamikaze. Each costing a whopping $12.The shoyu poke bowl was so tiny (refer to pic...as big as my finger nail) you get 3x more at Foodland at a fraction of the cost. It had a mayo with kukui nut, tasting ZERO like shoyu poke. So, small portions, not good tasting, and overpriced.Kamikaze was better then the poke bowl for sure. But still not a wow factor. You can get fresh and much better in flavor elsewhere. The gyoza was the best thing from both...it actually was good! The staff was friendly.Bummed we waited 15 minutes for just meh."
"YOW! It's happened again... my review for this food stall has disappeared even though I've been buying their preserves in-person and locally at the Kaka'ako Farmers Market for the past year and have never been to their actual farm which is located on another island.I was originally introduced to the luscious International Taste Award and International Flavor Award-winning tropical jams, butters, and honeys at a local food festival. However, since then, I have routinely purchased the unique tropical-flavored preserves at their food stall at this Farmers Market although they do have the option for online purchasing (http://www.akakafallsfarm.com) and ships Worldwide. There are usually two gregarious representatives from this farm who will offer you free taste samples of whichever product you see in their vast display. They'll even recommend how to use some of their preserves to complement chicken, pork, beef, seafood, or vegetables or use their butters in desserts or as dessert toppings. I like to chit chat with them and exchange recipes with them. Their jams and butters are sourced from fruits grown on their farm, and they use organic cane sugar or naturally evaporated cane sugar as their sweeteners. I believe that their honeys are harvested from local apiaries where the bees collect nectar from local blossoms like macadamia, kiawe, and lehua. They have over 25 different jams or marmalades, 14 kinds of butters, and 7 kinds of honey. Of the 25+ jams, they even offer hot and spicy tropical flavors that work very well with seafood, chicken, venison, beef, pork, or lamb. When you purchase from this stall, a jar of jam or marmalade or fruit butter will cost you about $12/11 oz jar. However, if you purchase 3 or 6 jars, you'll receive further discounts. Bear in mind that some kinds of butter will cost more like $14/jar, because of the higher cost of the ingredients such as their Kona Coffee Hawaiian Chocolate butter or Coconut Dark Chocolate butter so it's good to ask before you buy. We've brought several friends and visitors here to get some of these preserves because we not only praise the high quality and flavors but their jar labels are so darn pretty! Slowly, we're working our way through their preserves and different kinds of honey but will admit that we have our favorites that we've returned to buy more of. Give them a try and you'll taste Hawai'i's Aloha."
