"We got there right before it closed and they were still happy to make us some burgers! They were excellent! It's a cute little food court basically down an ally so it's definitely different in a good way! Burgers were great! We would eat there again!"
"I hope this spot stays forever! Our favorite breakfast joint!!Service is always fast and friendly."

"One of the best burger joints on the island. Burgers cooked to your specific liking. Soft buns packed with so much flavor from their house sauce and juicy patties."
"Love this zippy's. Clean, bigger dining area and waitress was superb. Korean Chicken chili combo - 5 stars - although prices are going up everywhere, I love their crispy and sweet korean chicken. Goes great with their famous chili.Service - our waitress was excellent. Lots of parking, and enter though the backside from the main road."
"Great onion rings!! Hamburgers and salads prepared well and tasty Friendly staff. Comfortable seating. Easy takeout"
"Yummy yummy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wanted to try the calzone but didn't have time"
"Got take out. So pretty what to expect dine in anyway. Grab food from the counter. Bring it to your table. Eat. And throw it away. Parking is a big lot that is shared with Dominos and other shops next to it. So plenty. Service is quick and simple. You can either order online like I did. Or at the counter. Food I would say an average burger, but still tasty. Made to the perfect doneness. The fries are decent. If you are looking for for a quick filling burger without all the razzle dazzle. I would recommend trying here."
"Really juicy & super tasty. Easy option if you staying at the Sheraton Waikiki hotel"
"I would be remiss if I didn't update my previous one-star review of St. Louis Drive-Inn.I was driving home on Waialae Avenue and slowed at the intersection for the red light. I saw that there were only four people near the order counter so I drove into the lot.I recall seeing the restaurant closed a few months ago while they were re-paving the parking lot. There are a dozen parking spaces plus one ADA stall. I was taken aback because 8 of the 13 parking stalls were occupied. Why were so many parking stalls occupied if only 4 people were near the order counter and one of them was a child? Ah, I didn't see the 5 people eating at the six plastic tables on the right. When I went up to the order window on the left, a woman stuck her head out from the right window and asked what I wanted. Wow, quick service compared to last time. She took my order yet still, it took about 12 minutes for me to get my food. To be fair the seafood bento I ordered had a lot of different items which were cooked from scratch since they were all still warm when I got home and ate. So 12 minutes may be warranted. The food is always good but now that they have modified the ordering process, St. Louis Drive Inn has earned my respect."
"Food was great, but no service at all - the lady who took our order clearly didn't want to be there. And... $4 for a soda but no refill? I'd go back for the food though. Fried chicken and chili... yum!"
"I've had Teddy's Bigger Burgers in the past, but this was my first time at the Kailua location. There are quite a few locations including in Aiea, Hawaii Kai, Haleiwa, Kaneohe, Waikiki, and University. You can also order online through their website, https://www.teddysbb.com/ and they also have a mobile rewards app. The restaurant was founded in 1998. Here's their origin story, "Teddy's Bigger Burgers got its start in the backyard cookouts of owners Ted & Rich. The two loved good burgers but couldn't understand why there weren't any fast food restaurants that offered the quality of their home cooked burgers in a quick service environment."My friend and her husband were visiting from Portland, Oregon. After a few hours at Kailua Beach, we decided to stop here for lunch. Teddy's is in a little strip mall area attached to a parking lot. There's seating inside the restaurant and outside in front of the restaurant under umbrellas. I like the decoration inside! A very bright color scheme (red, blue, yellow), vintage, and reminiscent of diners from the 50s. To match their no fuss menu of burgers, fries and shakes. Staff greeted us when we entered. The inside was clean and we'll maintained. Workers were preparing food diligently. I got the Double Burger, medium. It's two of the 1/3lb 100% ground chuck steer proprietary grind patties with gourmet burger seasoning. On a potato bun, with green leaf lettuce, laussen dill pickles, thinly shaven white sweet onion, ripe tomatoes, homemade special sauce, homemade Teri sauce, and capped with another potato bun. It's flame broiled with beautiful charred lines across the patty. Absolute delicious, juicy, and flavorful! I ate this like a steak XD with a fork a knife. I wanted to avoid the mess, for it's a tall burger.I also got the Bacon & Cheese Fries. These fries have the crispy skin still on. They're smothered with a creamy nacho cheese sauce and topped with bacon. Very tasty, hot and the toppings were plentiful! The bacon and cheese make a good match. This was a big portion of fries, so I shared them with my friend and her husband. There was still a lot left over, so I ended up taking the rest home. I don't like to be wasteful! I also got the Hand Scooped Shakes in the Mini size and the Haupia flavor. It was super rich and creamy. The haupia flavor was just right. Not too overwhelming, not too sweet. Recommended! I also got a spoon to eat the ice cream part before it melted. They have quite a few flavors for these shakes including vanilla, chocolate, peanut butter, Kona coffee, chocolate peanut butter, strawberry. Nutella, orange dreamsicle, pineapple and root beer.Overall it was an awesome meal. Highly recommended! (:"
"My husband & I's go to when we're in Pearl city. It's a cute little hole in the wall for Japanese food! There's usually only one cashier and one person working the back. Each time we go, the cashiers are always friendly. Our favorites are the beef bowl & pork tonkatsu with curry. I always order the mini beef bowl and it's A LOT. The portion size is very generous. I always get green onions as my topping for an additional ($2), yes it's a bit expensive for green onions but they top it with a lot of green onions! I also get a side of curry. I love dipping my beef with curry, topped with the green onions and the pickled daikon on the side. Delish! They also have pickled ginger which my husband opts for. I recently tried the takoyaki and it was ok. Nothing special about it imo. We usually spend about $50-60 on a meal which can be a little much... but the freshness of the food and quality of the food is superb. I love supporting small businesses and local business! I don't know of any other Oahu business that sells beef gyudon like this. I highly recommend this place to get your gyudon fix."

The food and the milkshake here is the best. Love it. However sometimes the service is bad. Depending who's working that day. What pisses me off is some times the worker on duty don't answer the phone. Doesn't answer at all. Reaching out to check if they can improve on this part.

Gee, I was so wanting to try Shige's Saimin in Wahiawa that I convinced Jamie W. to take a 90-minute ride on a public bus to get there from Waikiki. It was delicious and worth it (review: https://yelp.to/ZIMH533vrM), but then we found we had a half-hour before the return bus. I had recalled from a local vlogger that this was the place to get some homemade pie. Well, it sounded like a good way to kill time.It took us about fifteen minutes to walk over to this modest breakfast cafe. Indeed they had five different pies on display, and slices were sold at $5 a piece. Jamie and I shared two slices - the perfectly cut Pear-Peach (photo: https://yelp.to/XiAqQvijFW) and the fallen apart Blueberry Cream (photo: https://yelp.to/4p7JbxTw7m). Didn't matter because they were both delicious, but man, we have to catch the bus. Gulp.FOOD - 4 stars...very good homestyle pie...they know howAMBIANCE - 3 stars...just a plain coffee shopSERVICE - 3 stars...rather unspirited TOTAL - 4 stars...not worth 90 minutes on a bus but if you happen to be in town...RELATED - Exploring Hawaii? Their Kīlauea Fire burger is the best thing on the menu. Very flavorful and savory! Customer Service was great and the ambience was wonderful. Definitely recommend coming here!

Our first time trying Zippy's. You see it all over Tiktok so we had to add this to our food lineup when we came to Hawaii. We came on a Tuesday afternoon. We came for brunch. They have their own parking lot so that was nice. Lots of diners already seated. We didn't wait at all and were seated in a booth right away. I had looked over the menu before coming and knew I wanted the oxtail soup if it was being served when we visited and IT WAS!!!! Broth was piping hot and so rich in flavor. My large bowl was packed with at least 5 medium to large pieces of oxtail and a ton of bright green choi sum and cilantro. It came with rice but you almost don't need it. Shared with my son whom I knew would want to even though he ordered his own meal. Portion is definitely enough for two. Also came with a side of ginger you could add to your liking. My eldest son ordered eggs, hashbrown and toast. My youngest son ordered the veggie omelet with hashbrown and toast. We were all very happy and full when we left. We will be back to visit!

First time trying Teddy's and we were impressed with the quality and service. The single and double cheese burgers we ordered were juicy, smoky, and perfectly broiled with just a touch of pink inside. The portions were generous and IMO probably one of the best burgers and fries on the island!

Great pizza and very friendly staff. I've lived on the island for 4 years and visit now a few times a year. Being from the east coast I always had a hard time finding good pizza on the island. Look no further! The sauce is great. The toppings are fantastic and the cornmeal dough is perfectly crispy and thin yet doughy. Yum!

Burgers are good. There are other options. Veggie burgers, chicken burgers, chicken fingers and all sorts of specialty sandwiches and burgers. Prices are high. For a basic burger combo it's $18-$19. A specialty burger combo could run $25 or more. Cost of fast food is high everywhere. A Whopper combo is $15 at Burger King so that puts these prices in perspective. I do think a family of 4 could do better elsewhere but if the family all wants burgers this isn't a bad option. Just expect to shell out $60 at a minimum. Incidentally they do have a Burgers family pack. 2 single burgers, 2 kids burgers, two large fries and 4 fountain drinks for $62.50. Not sure if that's such a great deal as the single burger is only $12 and doesn't include cheese. Probably a better way to do it is sharing some items and bring your own drinks in a thermos. For example:1) #6 Crispy Chicken Sandwich $13.752) Western Burger $17.503) Chicken Tenders Basket $13.754) Bacon & Cheese Fries $8.75Total - $53.75

I wish I can give this place 5 stars, but let me tell you why I gave this place a 1 star.We paid $19 for a mushroom Swiss and cheese fries. My husband picked it up because I stayed in our hotel because my toddler was under the weather. When my husband brought it back, there was no top bun! I called and asked a partial refund because this is not what I paid for. Max told me that she couldn't do that because her boss is out of town. I told her that she can look at her cameras so she knows I'm not lying. My husband even said that while he was eating his Panda Express, he was like the only customer. He did not see anyone order from there and I guess we know why.She told me to come back and she will make a new one, but why would I want to come back? I have a sick child and I told her I wouldn't be able to come back. She told me to save the burger and to come back when I was able to. So she wants me to leave the burger on our counter and bring it back when I'm able to. Lol. It sucks that we gave this business our money expecting they would know how to make it correctly. Will not come back.

"Hole in the wall place, no frills, but good food. I got the bowl with steak and it was delicious. You order at the counter, pay, and go sit down. They'll bring you the food. Definitely worth a visit. Parking up front but it's a busy street. Good quick service and good prices."
"When my sister moved to Kailua she told me about this little window in Oneawa market that serves bomb steak and noodles. You can imagine my skepticism but after trying it.... I need to tell you: GET THE KALBI $19.50 for 2 huge pieces of kalbi, rice and salad The steak noodles were also yummy and at $14.50. It's basically a fried saimin with thick bites of steak. They also have shrimp and chicken if you're not a fan of red meat. This place is amazing. It's the epitome of a hole in the wall as it's quite literally a window inside a liquor store (that part of the store actually appears to be closed off) . I guess this is its reincarnation. You can call in your order to minimize wait time and the aunty was on it, didn't even need to give our name or phone number, just knew we were the one with 5 plates and had em all right. It looks like it's still relatively under the radar. Check it out !!"
"Came here after beaching. Located just across the corner from Target. Small shop, with a few tables outside, 2 high chair tables on the main floor, & a good about of seating upstairs. We got the loco moco burger with garlic fries, & double cheese burger with truffle fries. Both were so yummy! Burger was cooked perfectly with some pink (but if you like yours well done, let them know). The only thing I would've done differently is request for the egg on the loco moco to be an over easy/runny yolk egg. The fries can prob be shared between 2 people, but they're so good... crispy but not over fried.Would def come again & try other burgers/sandwiches/sides on the menu."
"The current special was shared in Facebook. Shrimp tempura with furikake salmon for $17.95. It was quite good! Too much for me to finish so I brought some salmon home. Tempura was light and crispy but by the end it got kind of oily. It was still pretty good all in all. The young server Reese was great! He had to bus the table, take order, serve, refill water and tea, all by himself.... And he was very pleasant! I recommend it!"
"I Love Zippy's!Always a must go for me when i visit the islands. Korean Fried Chicken for me please. Clean, fast, Aloha. Do i need to say more? Open at 6am, got there at 6:05, already 10+ people there."
"Pleasantly surprised by this Zippy's! I've never been here although I've driven by hundreds of times over the years. My friend was hungry after registering her car at the Safeway kiosk (who knew you could do that) so off to her choice of eatery....Zippy's! Parking is tight and my sedan is not a compact and a lot of bigger vehicles were taking one& a half spaces. I was able to get a stall under the building and we took the elevator up to the dining room. Seated immediately by a young, politely engaging and very tall man who gave us menus including the Sushi Bar menu advising it wasn't available for another 15 minutes but just in case we wanted to order he left us to peruse and choose what we wanted while he got our drinks. He returned with our drinks and we placed our orders which were promptly delivered still hot and steaming. Remarkably he returned several times to check on us. If you've ever been to Zippy's you know why I found the remarkable. My experience has always been once the wait staff drops your food you don't see them until you flag someone down to bring a check. Food was typical Zippy's fare but the service elevated the experience to 4 stars. Nicholas, his name was Nicholas hi just found my receipt!)"
"This is like the fast food Denny's of Hawaii. I absolutely love this place. It was so cute. It was a quick spot to get moco loco, when I go back to visit, this will definitely be on my regular rotation to stop in. It was a fun cool quick place to get a cheap meal for the whole family. We all got very full at the food was great. Customer service was great."
"Happy National Chili Day...Yup that's today along with National Strawberry Day and a special recognition for me as well with meeting up with a friend for lunch made it kinda special day and as I drove around like a mission needed to be done I decided to stop at Zippy's and this Ewa location does have a special place in my heart. With a much needed break this I stopped here since they do have lots of free parking and super easy access from either direction you're coming from and the vibe here is relaxing as the dining room is nice and clean, the service here is just so friendly as I jumped to order my regular chili on white rice and it was beanless for me (they have vegetarian as well) and the special was 25% which is huge and who could you some savings...me!You can enjoy their famous chili in so many other ways as mine is on top of spaghetti, but there are Chili Hot Dog, Chili Burger, or just a Chili Plate whatever your cravings they can do it and am so happy to have the lucky timing to enjoy this famous chili on their special day.Thank you!"
"Decent dinner and great desserts! They do an okay job with all the local favorites, like chili, teri beef sandwich, and won ton mein. It's good and satisfies the craving, but not some place to go out of your way for. Service in the dining room is always friendly, so we enjoy that aspect.Where this place shines is the desserts. My favorite is the dobash cake that is decadently rich while being moist and airy, I could eat almost half the smaller cake if no one was watching. Rainbow cake is also good, and all their pastries are worth trying."
"Newly Remodeled looking - or the first time I seen it like this. I used to come here back in the days but mostly would eat outside on my commute to work from Makaha to Downtown - So out of character to eat by myself for lunch but I was so hungry and had back to back meetings and it's a Friday so I treated myself to a zipmin, double garnish and fried chicken.the lady was friendly and attentive. haven't eaten inside in a while so noticed a different menu - it was a two sided menu that was longer than the previous menu but less bulky lol more simplified. Wish they had club sandwich to go though. with tip it did cost me a little over $30! which I guess is the going rate and I was veryyy full! it was nice and cleanI like that you can pay via qr code on the table - I did forget to add my zipster rewards - not sure how to let the server know?! anyways - will be back again!"
"First time I've been there. Got there 10 minutes before opening and saw the long line. My mistake for going on Chinese new year. Got inside and actually ordered maybe 25-30 minutes after opening. Dim sum is huge! Prices are good. Manapua prices kinda steep but very tasty and fresh. Came for the roasted pork. Mostly fatty but it was crispy! Will try again when there is no line."
"If you're craving tasty Korean fried chicken, Soul Chicken in Kalihi is the spot to hit up. Just a heads-up it's right smack dab in the middle of the Dillingham rail construction chaos, so getting there might feel like an adventure. And to make things even trickier, there are no left turns on Dillingham, so plan your route accordingly. But once you do make it there, you'll find it tucked inside Bliss Lounge & Bar, which is actually a plus. What pairs better with crispy, fried chicken than an ice-cold beer or cocktail? Plus, the space is cozy and great for hanging out with friends. Since it's inside Bliss lounge and bar, there's no table service, so you'll need to scan a QR code to order or better yet, save yourself the hassle and order ahead here: https://www.clover.com/online-ordering/soul-chicken-honoluluI've always been quoted 20 minutes for orders, but in my experiences, it's always ready sooner. If you're grabbing takeout, ordering ahead online is the way to go so you're not stuck waiting. And this chicken? Crispy, light, not greasy, and not weighed down by batter, exactly how it should be. My go to flavors are Honey Garlic and Yang Nyeom (spicy) and if you're taking it home, I highly recommend getting the sauce on the side to avoid any soggy disappointments. My only complaint are that some of these chickens look like they barely made it past chickhood because a few of the pieces are really small. I'm talking bite sized in a way that makes you wonder if they ran out of full-grown birds. But hey, what they lack in size, they definitely make up for in flavor. If you can navigate the construction mess (and the no-left-turn nightmare on Dillingham), Soul Chicken is a solid spot for some seriously good Korean fried chicken just maybe don't expect every wing to be a heavyweight or order more half dozens."
"Revisiting the east side of the island with my friend, I decided to eat at Zippy's at the koko marina center. Sadly, the dining area is closed as well as the bathrooms at Zippy's. There is a bathroom, but it is at the building on the left side of zippy's on the second floor of the building, next to the florist.Food was the same as other zippy's, fresh and fried chicken was crunchy. Even though it was outside, we could eat our lunch in peace having it next to the pier with a scenic serene view of the ocean.Service was fast, but tables were a bit dirty, and a table also didn't have a tabletop, and at least there weren't bird turd since there is a sign posted "don't feed the birds," but there was a dove that was persistent in hanging near our table even if we tried shooing it away."
"Heard about this sandwich spot on Instagram. We came here to give it a try. Asked the restaurant manager for some recommendations. I decided on the Wagyu Cheesesteak and recommended by the manager side au jus. The sandwich was good with the au jus. It added to the flavor. The au jus was a little salty. Also, a side of fries. The fries were good. The restaurant had a cool vibe. We were able to get a table easily."
"On Tuesday, 11/26/24, at 11:30a I stopped by at Mark's Drive Inn to pick up lunch. I ordered the Beef with Bittermelon plate lunch. It came with 2 scoops of rice and a Mac salad. The Bittermelon was cooked perfectly with a crisp vegetable crunch and covered with a savory black bean sauce. The delectable beef married well with the stir fried combination. Although this place is small, there are some seats if you need to eat inside. Overall, this is a great place to pick up something quick to eat. I will be back again and get something else at Mark's Drive Inn."
"Shout out to the team that worked the Halloween night shift. It was around 830 pm we placed our phone order and when we got there it was totally packed. Long line but a majority was waiting for orders up. As the time passed by for the next 5-10 minutes the team that worked the front pick up area was on a roll, plates and drinks were being completed and called out. No one was fussing or frazzled. It was awesome watching each of them hustle plus the back of the house. It was pretty cool. Our order was called and had no problem with our order and we were ready to head home and enjoy the Las Vegas Plate, mini Korean chicken and mini spaghetti with garlic bread. Great job to you guys! Mahalo Zippys Waipio!"
"Small establishment but very crowded with guest waiting. I hope it's delicious. Steak was medium like how I like it, was delicious! Teriyaki sauce on the side made it even better!"
"Don't know why there is hate on this place, went there many times, service was top notch, no wait times, the place was clean, bathrooms clean the workers were super nice. The food came out with better presentation than I expected. I had the large wuntun min, and we had veggie chilli and a pancake. It was all good and we ate every last bite.Definitely would come again. To finish it off we had a mochi donut and 2 glazed donuts. Tastes great!! and very affordable"
"Still great burgers, they cook it right (medium is medium not medium well like a lot of places) and tasty, but I'm not sure if it's worth the price. $15 before tax for most of the specialty burgers with toppings. And then the grilled chicken for my aunty was very sad, what a small piece of chicken. We went on a Saturday at 11 and the place was empty. Friendly fast service. Wish we had more other options around here for burgers that are a step above fast food. I'll probably be back but maybe a once a year kind of place."
"My first time trying jollibee & I loved the chicken! 10/10 for the spicy chicken! It was fresh, hot , crunchy & delicious! Dip it in the gravy, even more tasty. The adobo rice was decent, it's even better if you put the gravy on it. The shop is small & located in the ala Moana mall. The service was mediocre, they itemize everything & it was pricey. The chicken tenders & fries we ordered had like zero seasoning on them which was kinda disappointing. Then our drink carrier was defective and spilled our drinks all over the floor which was frustrating. The younger worker was nice enough to replace them for me though. Nice kid. Overall I recommend the chicken & I'll be back for it."
"1st time in this location, it was very nice, neat, and clean. Maybe it's that men that was there ready to clean up. Anywaysss I love my 10 pieces of chicken joy half spicy and half regular. I would order all spicy but I have to share with low spice tolerance people lol"
"I've passed by Zippy's Kailua a number of times but never had the chance to go to their dine-in restaurant until my girlfriend and I went on a Friday evening. Service is alright, but was still moderately slow despite the fact it was not very crowded at the time of our visit. Anyways, Zippy's has some wonderful menu items and food! There is usually plenty of parking available but can fill up quickly during peak periods."
"Finally got to try overlord chicken, and it was delicious! Service is great, and if you like mala (numbing) spice, you'll love their noodle/dry pot selection. The chicken is also very tender, breaded lightly, and crispy. The beef noodle soup is delicious and gets spicy if you want it to be, and the veggies & noodles are authentic. The only comment is the beef cuts weren't the best and were more tendony, but if you like that then you will love the beef noodles. Inside has limited seating but it moves pretty quickly. Parking is tougher but you can find some around the neighborhood."
