Lyla D. "Okay, I'm going to try submitting this review again with hopes that it doesn't get incorrectly merged. This CVS Pharmacy operates as Longs Drugs store # 17720 and is located within the Target Ala Moana on its 3rd floor.  It has been open since October 2017. Anyway, this pharmacy is part of a national chain and offers a full complement of services.  They accept most medical insurances and Medicare where you'll get discounted prices on your prescriptions and your co-pay could be minimal or none at all.Service is good and efficient.  If your prescription calls for an item that's not in their current inventory, they'll order it and get it for you usually by the next day.  Also, you can subscribe to automatic refills on chronic medications and get reminders to pick up your completed pharmaceutical order(s) through their app.   We like this CVS Pharmacy and have transferred some of our prescriptions here as we trust the CVS Pharmacy network. At the current time, social distancing and COVID-19 safety precautions are in place and the wait time for your prescriptions isn't very long if you bring your prescription in.  Besides, if it's not ready, you can always shop around in Target."

Teri Y. "Unfortunately our dogs are on chronic cough medicines that need compounding and the team at ElixRx are always so accommodating in making sure we are able to get our pups what they need despite our busy schedules and living on the opposite end of the island. They are always kind, professional, and efficient. They truly are life savers, both for humans and our four legged friends. I'm grateful for them and all they do."

Victoria A. "Brand NEW, same "old" Longs Drugs in Kapolei. It sits on the corner across from Ka Makana Mall and directly beside the new Chic Fil A and 7-11. Pros: brand new! Same longs. Same products. Same same. No surprises. Convenient stop after the mall. Cons: entrance from north-south road or from from residential side. You cannot exit onto north-south road to get back to the mall. Only one exit and you can only turn right. No ATM machine inside store.Something to be said about the old, familiar Longs Drugs that we all gravitate to. This one is brand spanking new."

Andy F. "If you've never been to any of the Queen's Physician Office Buildings, it can get VERY confusing because there are THREE physician's buildings and the main Queen's hospital itself. All these building have different entrances and they're not exactly along the main road. For Queen's POB 1, it's nearest to the H1 freeway along Vineyard Blvd heading East. You can access the parking from Vineyard Blvd or from Lusitania St. You can also access this building from the main hospital as well.As with most building major facilities and buildings in Oahu, especially Downtown Honolulu, they're all pretty outdated. Everything feels like they're from the 60-70s, but there's nothing wrong with that! The quality and quality of work is probably much better at those times. It appears many physicians are located in this building as I've taken my grandparents here many, many times throughout the years.During these Covid times, temperature checks are required before you enter the building, which is great, but still uneasy being here."

Usually get junk food cravings here as you're practically surrounded by candy bars, ice cream, pork rinds and 15 cents chick-o-sticks. They also have a wide selection of DME (durable medical equipment) such as canes, walkers, elevated toilet seats, etc."

Gail U. "I took advantage of a recent 70% off canvas prints. The only catch- it wasn't available at our neighborhood Longs so I chose Kapolei as one of the few branches you could order from. They even offered ready in one day service and I got an email saying it was ready in a very short time.We drove to Kapolei the next day. Like many Longs the photo department was unmanned when I arrived. I found an employee in the self checkout area and she called for assistance. The woman who came out couldn't locate my order even after I showed her my order number on my phone. She finally searched the computer. No luck. She saw a male employee and called him over. He found it in a few seconds.I was kinda disappointed cuz the collage was quite tiny on the larger canvas. Guess I'll stick to Shutterfly although I'd have to wait much longer.Maybe you'll be luckier."

Lyla D. "This review is only for their Pharmacy Department.Having worked in a medical center for years, I became aware of the proper disposal of pharmaceutical waste. Some companies provide safe, easy, and affordable pharmaceutical waste disposal solutions. The correct and lawful turn-in of pharmaceutical waste is crucial to preventing drug misuse and is safer for the environment. Fortunately, at my age, I don't need or take more than two prescription medications for chronic issues; however, I joke about my husband's medicine cabinet that looks like he could start his pharmacy. His cadre of physicians has changed his medications several times over the year to address some of his medical conditions, so every so often, we go through his medications that he no longer takes and to properly get rid of them. Besides, we know that once a pharmacy dispenses the drug and leaves that pharmacy's custody, the pharmacy cannot accept any returns even if the packaging is intact and the product is unused. Proper and safe disposal is the key to keeping others and the environment from being misused, especially unused narcotics. We visited our usual CVS Longs Drugs Pharmacy - Ala Moana and inquired if they had a medication disposal bin available to the public. The pharmacy technician advised us that pharmaceutical disposal bins are located at this store and their Kamehameha Shopping Center locations. So we made a beeline to this location as it is more convenient to do so to dispose of the medications. For privacy, when you take your unused prescription medications in, you should use a black marker to cover your name on the label, or you can combine the drugs in an unmarked prescription bottle. Last week, when we came into this CVS Longs, we quickly located the Pharmacy Department and were about to ask the technician for the location of their disposal bin when I spied it in a corner next to a chair. She noticed me heading for the waste box but stopped me because the box was locked and full and they were waiting for the pharmaceutical returns company to empty it. Tsk. I slipped the bottles back into my purse and decided to return on another day. Luckily, on this second visit, I had a few moments to examine the box for its security (yup, its padlocked drop box with one-way drop access) and told my husband to just drop his unmarked bottles in. Easy-peasy and FREE pharmaceutical disposal can be found at select CVS Longs Drugs. So, if you have excess and or expired medications lying around your home, Id recommend that you do you, your family, others, and the environment the correct disposal way instead of just dumping your medications into the trash or water systems."

Julie C. "This review is in regards to getting vaccinated at the Safeway pharmacy on Beretania Street.I had gotten my primary series for the Covid vaccine, and booster through the Hawaii Pacific Health facilities, and had a very good experience. Unfortunately neither the Hawai'i Pacific Health or Queens facilities are currently offering the bivalent Covid booster. The bivalent Covid booster is available in the community, but at private pharmacies like Safeway, Longs/CVS, Walgreens etc.You need to make an appointment to get the booster regardless of what facility you choose. It was easy to schedule an appointment online at the Safeway pharmacy for a booster shot. I had not received any vaccines from this pharmacy in the past. Scheduling the shot was a good experience, but what followed was not.I showed up at the Safeway pharmacy at the time of my appointment which was at 9 AM so the pharmacy was not busy. I was the only customer in line. I informed the pharmacist Tiffany, that I was there to get my bivalent Covid booster. She asked me when my appointment was, and was able to find me in her system. It was kind of an odd experience, as there was no hello or greeting. She was very abrupt with her tone, and seemed quite in a rush. I'm not sure if she was the only one there, as I did not see any other staff in the pharmacy, but it did not appear to be busy at that time. She promptly asked me for my Covid vaccine card and then spent several minutes on her computer. She told me to go wait in front of the glass door which I did. Apparently that is the room in which they give the vaccines. In a few minutes she open the door and told me to sit down. She then promptly went back into the Pharmacy side and slammed the door behind her. I waited in that room about 10 minutes or so staring at the wall. Tiffany then came in and gave me the shot and promptly left. Apparently they don't make you wait 15 minutes to see if you have an allergic reaction here.Customer service was poor only one star, I felt like I was a bother to her and that she didn't like her job. One additional star for the ease of scheduling the appointment online."

Lyn L. "Stopped her to get my prescriptions because they are in the building with Dr. Kitagawa....The people here are sooo nice. As I sat there waiting for my prescription to be filled, I observed how kind they are to their customers...whether they were having a prescription filled or simply purchasing the smallest container of Tylenol. The lady at the counter personalized assistant for every customer, consolidating purchases into one bag so it would be easy for her to carry, calling customers by name and being polite and nice to everyone. It's such a pleasure to see that. When it was my turn, they noted that my prescription had an expiration date of July 2014 and asked if I would use it all up by then....if not, they offered to order a new supply for me to pick up the next day.I really appreciate the consideration and respect they show to each customer. They also validate parking so it would be very easy to pull in here and pick up prescriptions... Another local business that I'd like to support...Thank you Plaza Pharmacy!"

Nadine C. "Shopping in Pearl City, Oahu, Hawaii...Searching my Yelp app for the nearest Longs Drugs Store, I found one right across the parking lot from the second location of Hana Tea.This Longs is in the same shopping complex as Foodland Farms and Dunkin'. With McDonald's on one end, and TJ Maxx on the other, it's a busy place. Luckily, I went early, so parking wasn't a problem. I was glad that the Easter items were 75% off. I couldn't find Hello Kitty cosmetics, but I did find Local Kine Greeting Cards, candy lei, First Aid supplies, and snacks!I actually was looking for the entry blanks for the 21-day, 19-night Circle Japan cruise by Non-Stop Travel. I heard the announcement on KSSK. Look for the box at Customer Service and ask a clerk for an entry blank! Let's win!Good luck!"

Maritess C. "I like coming to this location. They have some pretty cool stuff on sale. I wasn't looking for anything in particular until I came across some Hello Kitty masks. I found three packs in different colors for $2.99 I think..I totally forgot the price but still not bad for three. They came in black and white and I chose black. They had some makeup items on clearance. I was tempted but I had to watch what I spend. It's so easy to spend here when there's so much to buy. LolLocation was organized and items were easy to find. Parking is across from the store. Although I almost lost it when a guy parked next to me and literally banged his door on my passenger side. I had to back up first before the guy got out of his car. Be careful in the parking lot. It's fairly tight. I got out of there without losing my cool. The store was plentiful of items. I may come again if I am in the neighborhood."

I took the pictures of the waiting area, I'm in the exact same spot today....chair six and here to get the covid updated vaccine and my second shingles vaccine. In spite of all the predictions from the vaccine haters I'm still alive and haven't had Covid to date. Easy as it can be to fill out the information on line when you schedule. Just go to the window and give the associate your insurance card and your vax card and they send you to your designated chair, come to you and give you your shot(s), give you back your updated card and off you go. Can't be easier and luv the 10% coupon you receive"

Lyla D. "We're thankful for this pharmacy's friendly and efficient staff as we've been coming here to get our annual flu vaccine and other immunizations. Recently, we came here for both of our pneumococcal and shingles vaccines because yes, we're of THAT kūpuna age. Because of high public demand, many people over 50 years old have had difficulties getting vaccinated even as the drug companies ramped up production and distribution of Prevnar-13 and Shingrix. However, we've been fortunate whenever we've gone to this Safeway Pharmacy because they've had both vaccines in stock. Along with providing vaccinations, this in-store pharmacy provides the following services that are covered by most medical insurance plans and you don't have to be a Safeway member to have access to them. -Blood Pressure-Diabetes Consultations-Medication Review-Specialty Pharmacy-Transfer Prescription-Travel Health-Worker's CompOur physicians had electronically transmitted prescriptions for the vaccine so all we had to do was a check-in at the New Prescription window, provide our ID and insurance cards and then wait for the pharmacy to process the prescription. Once processed, we were directed to their huge and private Consultation Room where we filled out some medical and HIPAA forms. We waited only 10 minutes when the pharmacist called out our names and asked which of us wanted to get vaccinated first. Haha... I volunteered my husband before he could even say anything, so he went into the clean, private examination room and closed the door behind him. Within a few minutes, he emerged laughing and exclaimed "you're up"! PROS:-Convenience: this pharmacy is located in Safeway's First Flagship Store in Kapahulu and has lots of free parking.-Stock Availability: they seem to have more than adequate stock on hand to meet demands but if you're unsure, you should/can call them before going in.-Wait Time: TOTALLY dependent upon their workload and time of day but, we've been lucky to have no more than 10-minute waiting times.-Private Consultation Room: well-maintained, socially distanced and the comfortable waiting room is accessible as you wait for your individualized pharmacy consult or vaccine administration. After the pharmacist administered our vaccine (no, we didn't get both Prevnar-13 and Shingrix during the same visit), she put us on the 6-month follow-up list to get our 2nd dose and reminded us to report if we have any side effect(s). She then gave us discount coupons toward future grocery shopping in any Safeway supermarket. We were off and on our way to completing our day's errands and will return for our follow-up vaccinations."
