"Great gluten free donuts made to order. They have Li Hing, Nutella, Cinnamon Sugar and Vanilla topping options. Made with almond flour and delicious!"
"Penny's Waikiki Malasadas is located at the Hawaiian Center food court and specializes in Malasadas (Portuguese donuts). They are made to order and are available with a filling. All of the malasadas are coated in a sugar.Filled malasadas ($11 for 3) - Coconut, ube, nutella and custard were the fillings available. The malasadas were so fresh, warm and melted in my mouth. The consistency wasn't quite the same as Leonard's, but it was still very good. I was disappointed with the fillings as they were extremely watery.Overall the malasadas here are great, but are pricier and not as good as Leonard's. Also there is no line here, so don't expect a wait like one would at Leonard's. I'd stick to getting the plain malasadas here over the filled ones."
"Yay! I love it when Kaneohe gets a new business of any kind, so glad Donut King Hawaii opened a location in Kaneohe since the two bakeries in Kaneohe closed down. Donut King is located next to Kaneohe Safeway in the smaller building with Panda Express and L&L Bbq, lots of parking available. They have coffee, fancy frappes, Breakfast croissant sandwiches and donuts galore. I got the famous Maple Bacon donut for $4.99 and a half dozen croissant bite donuts for $3.95. They have ham and cheese breakfast sandwiches for $9 and a bacon egg and cheese, sausage egg and cheese and egg and cheese for $10.99The maple bacon donut was really good, generous amounts of bacon The croissant bites w sugar glaze are also yummy as well, . So happy to have a new option in Kaneohe!"
"Mr Donuts and Bakery has opened up shop in Wahiawa close to Walgreens. They are open Monday through Sunday from 6am to 3pm to accommodate all of your fresh donut needs!Donuts start at $2.07 and go up to $4.74 for signature donuts (less if you are ordering by the dozen) depending on if you are paying cash or card. They also offer baked goods like muffins, croissants, and butter rolls. At first I was a little surprised that my twist was over $4 as it is a "fancy" donut, but look at the size of it! It's about the size of two donuts. Support local businesses and visit Mr Donuts and Bakery next time you are craving a donut!"
"Have you ever had a donut or cake from Napoleon Bakery? Well if you haven't, you should! Super yummy. I personally like the dobash & chantilly cakes/ glazed donut with chocolate in the middle. This particular bakery on Dillingham has lots of parking outside. Awesome customer service! And they are always stocked with yummy desserts."
"Six + years and going strong. Very Strong! #purve#donuts#sweettoothToday is National Donut Day (Thank you Guy H/Texas) as your HEB pic reminded me to go and get my donuts! There is no better donut shop to visit than PURVE Donut Shop. This visit I got my normal six pack with the "One" free donut that accompanies a six pack. Yup! It's National Donut Day for sure! They were busy... But follow the drill of filling up the order form, pay for your order and wait for it to get delivered to your hungry hands!Be sure to ask for the daily special flavors.Fun Fact(s)Nick & Brion started this bakeshop over 6 years ago; in fact, I think Purve's anniversary is coming around the corner? The fun fact though is Nick and Brion were bartenders and converted their careers to bakers (from bartenders) to settle down, raise a family and you know the rest.Purve hosted a number of Yelp Elite Events and Yelp Unofficial Yelp Events becoming a favorite to quite a few from Japan.Purve now has a location in Kahala although I am partial to their flagship store on Kona Street. The unknown fun fact is "where does that unicorn come from"?"
"In case anyone is dying to know how they bind their dough together without using eggs nor dairy, they use aquafaba and ground flax as their egg substitute!Hands down, the best vegan donuts I've had on island. The flavors are so unique and esthetically pleasing to the eye. If you're not going to consume them immediately, I would recommend putting them in an airtight container so that they don't dry out. Located in the heart of Waialae, follow their Instagram page for hours and daily flavors. And when looking for their pop-up, look for signage on 9th Ave to lead you to where you need to go. There's a table set-up outside with their daily specials, and luckily when I went, there was no line! May the parking gods be in your favor. Not to mention, the service from Keegan (sp?) and his wife are phenomenal. You can tell that they both love and enjoy what they do. Keep supporting this dynamic duo, so that we can get them a storefront to call their home!"
"I am updating this review so I'm hoping my earlier one-star review shows up as a corrected- starred rating of this Napolean's Bakery. The one-star review started out because I purchased two bakery items: a donut and a cake and both items had foreign material in it: a hair on the donut and a plastic/nylon or other strand of scrub brush or equipment in the cake. I would have just let the hair on the donut go, because in all my years of eating, there has been a hair, here or there. I have found pretty disgusting things worse than hairs in my food, so I was ready to let it go, but then my son found what appeared to be a plastic strand in his cake, so it was time to take action. I didn't want to be out $16 for donuts and a cake we didn't want to eat.I called the Napolean's Bakery location in the evening and spoke to a really nice manager who was really apologetic about the whole thing. He was very sorry and offered me complimentary items for the hassle of having to come back to the store to return the items, but I said there was no need, I just wanted my money back. I told him I'd be coming back the next day with the items, so they can see for themselves what I've found (I took photos but decided to let Napolean Bakery figure it out, so I've taken them down voluntarily). The next day I took the products back to the same store and had to deal with different manager who was not well-versed in customer service. I won't go into detail here but let's say it was not a pleasant experience at all and I left feeling perturbed.I got an email from two managers asking me about my experience so I let them know what transpired, from the time I found the things in my baked products to the service I got, and they were concerned and addressed some of the problems. I knew then Zippy's/Napolean Bakery takes their Yelp reviews and things like this seriously. I'm upping my review rating here from a one-star (eeks! I think not!) to a three-star (A-OK) solely based on the fact that Napolean's Bakery reached out to me and they really were concerned. I would have thought a company so huge that has cornered the local market couldn't be concerned with just one complaint, but they do take all matters seriously and that's all right in my book."
"Fresh donuts in Honolulu, Hawaii...This is the second location of Island Glazed.AMR stands for Aliamanu Military Reservation. It's located in the Salt Lake area - and you don't need a pass to get in and out of the gate.Because Island Glazed has light, fluffy, yummy donuts at the Pearl Kai Shopping Center, I wanted to compare that original location with this second location. Both stores have free parking and friendly, efficient service! This AMR shop is cozy and is more of a takeout place... not so much of a dine-in spot. However, there's some outdoor dining if you want to munch on your donut right there.I ate in the car...I got the chocolate macadamia nut donut. I like chocolate in general and I also like macadamia nuts. Add these ingredients onto a yeast donut... and BAM! It's like inhaling a cloud! LOL!The hotdog in a bun also caught my attention! It's good for those who enjoy savory... is it like "piggy in a blanket"?Anyway, both items were good! Thanks for the fun treats!"
"I absolutely recommend this place!! The donuts are amazing! I don't like regular glazed donuts but these are better than Krispy Kreme and Dunkin both. It's almost like they had a baby the cakes are absolutely amazing! I'm obsessed with going to bakeries and this is my go to I get it probably once a week! The banana cream pie is really good it's kinda like banana pudding in a pie, the coconut cake was good, the chocolate dream cake with white icing and shaved chocolate is really good that one is so good it's usually gone by the time I get there, the dobash cake is very Chocolatey but really good, the chantilly cake is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!! It is their version of a German chocolate cake the only difference is there's not coconut in the icing. But I LOVE it!!! The Apple turnover is also really good, I wasn't a fan of the coconut one though. But I recommend to everyone!!"
"Each donut is freshly made to order so they are still hot when you pick them up. They would make good gifts because the packaging is nice. Our favorite flavor was Smurf ball. Service was friendly and helpful. I like that it is open late."
"I decided to pick up a box of Mochizadas after ordering food at Zippy's last night since I've been wondering how exactly a mochi and malasada combination would taste like. The chocolate covered mochizadas were pretty thick and had a nice chewiness to it. The taste and feel of it is very similar to mochi donuts except a bit bulkier. I really love sweets so it was perfect for me however both my parents have said that it's a bit too sweet for them and that they'd enjoy it more without the chocolate covering. Also heads up, if you're thinking about getting some pastries from Napoleon's Bakery at night time like I did, please be aware that they will have less pastries to choose from but that there are still a few good options available on display."

I caught them at the Farmers Market in O'ahu and they had some of the best donuts I've tried! Super flavorful, perfect for sharing, and they're vegan as well! The staff were really kind and allowed me to take some of their fun donut creations. I'm really wanting to visit again and I hope everyone who is a sweets lover gets to try their donuts - Miguel Morales Photography

Hella good,Got here at 9:30 ordered 6 then ordered 3 more. We are a family of 5, but nothing was left. Hot light fluffy malasada with multiple fillings. Having had them on other islands I never liked them. Maybe these are made for a more mainland pallet, I don't know, but these were not overly heavy making you feel weighed down and the fillings we tried were great.Everything came out warm, and soft. Sad we waited till our last day to try.

This is the best donut shop on Oahu! For years I've tried other places but can't beat these folks for variety, taste of the donuts and helpful staff. Only bad part is expect long lines (that's what happens when you're popular, lol!) and they will run out of popular flavors. I used to like Krispy Kreme but prefer these folks instead. They have croissant bites or donut holes (great taste & melts in your mouth), large cinnamon rolls, Ensemadas, twists, cake donuts and my favorite, maple-bacon donut with strips (yup not the bacon crumbles) generously placed on top. Check these folks out and go early if you want to see all they have. Enjoy!

I was at a near by business and walked in to Mr. Donut just to check it out since I haven't noticed this bakery here before. At first I had no intention of buying anything, until I saw the donuts and how amazing this place smelled. The people behind the counter was so friendly and welcoming, I could not walk out. I bought 3 glazed donuts and a couple of raspberry filled, the bad thing is they served the donuts all in a package, and not in a box.The glazed donut was so fluffy and fresh! My husband enjoyed the raspberry filled. I called my sister since she lives in Wahiawa, and told her about this place and she needs to come here immediately!Definitely returning for more of the fresh baked goods.

Purve donuts are the best. I love that they're cake donuts and not regular donuts. I can totally taste the difference. I usually go to the Waialae location, but it was my first time at this location. I thought that it would be out of the way, but it was fairly easy to find. It's on Kona St. and you go up the ramp of the Iolani building. There's a decent amount of parking once you get up there. My favorite is the Sunburnt Haole. The lemon glaze with li hing powder is so good. The hubby is more basic and went with the Sanchez. It's just tossed in cinnamon and sugar. We also tried the Sanchez with cream cheese glaze. It was so much better with the glaze to me. It made all the difference, but he likes it plain. We also got the butterbeer freeze. I love this. It's delicious. It's similar to the butterbeer at the World of Harry Potter at Universal. It's not quite, but very similar. I could taste the butterscotch, especially with the drizzle on the walls. Get this if you get a chance. The guy helping us was very nice and personable. He answered all of our questions and was a pro at making our donuts. All of their donuts are made to order. There's nothing better than fresh and hot donuts.

This place makes a yummy donut. Vegan or not, periot. I opted for the special flavor of guava mac nut cookie and it was delicious!! The frosting had a nice sweet guava glaze with a drizzle of more tangy guava and it was COVERED in cookie crumbles and nice big chunks of mac nuts. The texture of the donut was spot on, soft and chewy and it was a flavor and texture extravaganza. Well worth the ~$5 cost. I went around 9:30 on a Friday morning and there was no line (yay!). It was my first time and I just got done with hot yoga so I didn't want to get a lot of donuts and ruin what I worked so hard for in yoga sculpt class... but, I'm never in the neighborhood when they are open so I took it as a sign to treat myself. Service was prompt and friendly.

Nom nom nom nom nom!I've been purchasing yummy and delicious treats from Napoleon's Bakery for years and since it's normally, if not always, attached to Zippy's it's an easy go-to for a a post-meal dessert! The ladies who work here are literally ALWAYS so nice and cheerful. They're so genuine! How do I know? Simply by the way they cater to my goodies! Whenever I order a slice of one of the cakes, the girl makes sure to rinse & wipe the knife after every cut that she makes - even if it's the same cake! That way, the slice looks so perfect when put in it's cute little to-go package and the flavors don't get cross-contaminated if I order more than one.Carrot Cake:One of my dad's favorites. He said that the frosting is too sweet for his taste, but the cake itself is nice and balanced - it's perfectly cinnamon-y, carrot-y. From what I tried, it's a very good consistency as well. Nice and moist but still hefty and dense like most other carrot cakes.Haupia Cake:Now this one is my favorite! Haupia has such a delicate coconut flavor and since it's paired with a kind of angel food cake, it's a great end to a hefty meal. The cake itself is always fluffy, moist, and so so good! Its sides are dusted with shaved coconut - some people might like it, but I personally don't so I kind of flick most of the shavings off lol.Guava Chiffon Cake:Yumm in my tum!!!! My mom likes this one quite a bit :) It's such a refreshing cake since it's flavors really revolve around guava! The pink chiffon cake tastes just like guava by itself so when it's topped off with the frosting and the guava jelly, oh man. That's an explosion of guava amazingness in your mouth!Chantilly Cake:Amazing. Simply amazing. A real local favorite! If I'm having a super cruddy day, a slice of chantilly cake will make everything all better. I know that I'm gonna have to run like a million miles in order to work it out, but it's worth it for sure. When we try the chocolate cake by itself, it's a good, moist, and fluffy chocolate cake. The flavor of the chocolate is really nice and not overpowering at all. When it's topped off with that delectable, buttery frosting..... Prepare yourself for a broken mout'! I don't normally eat donuts but I tried their glazed yeast donut once and it was pretty good. Donuts aren't my thing really so I'm not one to ask about these deep-fried dough and sugar treats. My mom really likes the corn bread and bread pudding. I find that the corn bread is usually dry but their bread pudding is super good! I like to warm mines up a bit so that it's a bit gooey and true to its delicious potential. It's dotted with raisins and sprinkled with cinnamon, yessssss. As the years pass, I find that their products continuously improve and get better :)

"During my vacation in Hawaii, I was dying for malasadas. I didn't know where to get them. Here I was, in the middle of the busy island (Oahu) and the closest one that had it was like 15 miles away! A little bummed and I thought to just except it: I won't have an malasadas.During our trip back from North Oahu, we got hungry and stopped by a Zippy's (recommended by my Mentor). When we drove in, I see that the there was a bakery attached to the restaurant. I thought, I wonder if they have malasadas. Determined, after we finished our meal, I made a B line to the bakery and looked around. And there it was!I quickly asked for a dozen. They had to make it so it was a 10 minute wait. Hell yeah I will wait! The guy at the counter was very nice and sweet. He kept checking in with me that it's almost done and that it'll be a few more minutes. I paid for them, and brought it out to the car. Forgotten how it actually looks like, when I opened it up my first thought was, "wow, their ginormous." It took me 4 days to finish, plus some help from Eric.So good.I love the service and the malasadas there tasted just like I remembered it. I love it! Can't go wrong. Although they were a bit more pricey than I remember paying for them in Pleasanton, CA. But they were a lot larger than the ones I have had before. So, no complaints there =)"
"Malasadas are like donuts but better because you get the extra carb that a donut lacks. They are generously-sized balls of dough that are fried until it's golden brown on the outside and light & fluffy on the inside. The original one is coated with sugar, but you have the option to coat with cinnamon sugar or li hing; plus you can get it stuffed with with custard, chocolate, and haupia. The best part is how convenient the truck is if you live in Kaneohe and the freshness, as they do fry the dough as ordered. Do your tummy a favor and just order one of each, although I do recommend the original and custard malasadas! Mahalo"
"Great onolicious sweets! Love their malasadas, lilikoi bars, long Johns, etc., etc., TOO MANY to list! The first, but definitely not the last... I had their Pumpkin Crunch Pie... yums!!!!!!!"
"How did I not know about this place a long time ago?! I stumbled upon Donut King Hawaii on accident. I went to Ben Franklin one day and noticed this small donut spot. They had different types of donuts there. We got a dozen different donuts and let me tell you, they were all amazing! We definitely will be back for more. Could you please make a location on the West Side???"
"Napoleon's Bakery is famous for their irresistable Apple Napples but their other baked goods are great too! I highly recommend trying their Mochizada--which, you guessed it--is a combination of mochi and malasada! If that's not a match made in foodie heaven, I don't know what is. This delightful creation is available with sugar or glazed coating. I have only tried their glazed version and can't stop dreaming about it. Try it and you will know what I am talking about.I love that you can order and pay online through Zippy's online ordering site so you can avoid waiting in line. However, Daily Specials, Bakery Items, and Zippy's Essentials cannot be future ordered due to limited availability. So if you want to place an order online for bakery items, you can only choose the "Asap" option. This ensures that the online site reflects what's actually available at the bakery, which I appreciate. Get an Apple Napple or Mochizada today--it will be the perfect morning treat or afternoon pick-me-up!"
"The best Malasadas in Hawai'i hands down, it doesn't even come close! It makes me want to believe the world is flat!"
"Pipeline has solidified its status for me as a "must visit" whenever I come to Oahu. Not everything they make is perfect. I found their seasonal gingerbread to be overpowering. But they'd make 3 things that I need when I want to taste vacation. 1) Lilikoi cheesecake bars. They are the epitome of tropical flavor to me. I love them. I can't get enough and yet I never buy enough because others in my traveling party devour them too!2) Strawberry Guava cake. Another tropical flavor. Great cake. 3) Chocolate chocolate cake. Hey! Not everything can be tropical and it resets your palette for more tropical flavors."
"I come here for only one thing, the COCONUT NAPLES! OMG they are amaze-balls! I don't eat carbs a lot, but I will definitely eat these. The pastry is so flaky and oh so delicious....mmmmmmm..... I usually order coffee and eat the coconut naple. Their coffee is good too. I'm so happy that there are tons and tons of Napolean Bakeries around the island, so whenever my coconut naple hits me, I don't have to go far. They do have other pastries here also that are delicious, like various donuts, cookies, brownies, and cakes, but by far my coconut naple will always be #1 for me here. Darn.... Now I want one =)"
"We were waiting to dine in for breakfast at Goofy and saw this donut shop right downstairs. There's graffiti everywhere and it's intentional I'm assuming. A cool little underground shop. I went in just to browse not thinking that I could eat anything. But I start reading the signs and confirm with the owners that all their donuts are vegan!!! My boyfriend and I both decide on the mochi donuts. They are able to fill the inside of the donut with any of their homemade fillings. The donuts are delicious! But just a heads up they are pretty pricey! The mochi donuts were the smallest ones available and were about $5 each!! But it was so good that I might go back when I want to treat myself! Friendly service and a great place to stop by when in Waikiki!"
"Dessert in Honolulu, Hawaii...This location of Dunkin' Donuts is inside of Terminal 1 (Hawaiian Airlines) at the Daniel K. inouye International Airport. It's just a kiosk with takeout capabilities. Seating throughout the terminal is shared.I wasn't able to use my app here. I couldn't redeem any rewards and couldn't scan the receipt for credit on my purchase. I called Customer Support, but the office was closed. I emailed Dunkin' Donuts with the receipt number and amount of purchase. I'm trying to get credit for this visit... 12 visits in a month gets bonus points...We visited after 1pm on a Wednesday, and selection was limited. There were Boston Kreme (filled) Donuts and one plain Powdered sugar Donut. We took the lone Donut and enjoyed the fluffy softness! Thanks for a pleasant dessert!"
"Dunkin' fun...Taking my gemini sissy for a therapeutical outing since our schedule vibed this week which is very rare and as adulting has taken quite beating between us I though to take her out of the town area and headed towards Pearlridge. We have just finished the Selfie Exhibit and she was instantly drawn to here and funny that the only thing she remembered was Fun Factory which shows how long and how much she really needed to explore. Such a thrill though sad to see how much she was at awe to see Dunkin' and you know we had to give them a peek.Looking at all the donuts lined up beautifully in the display case though we already had lunch it was just sips that we were looking for "Blueberry Donut Iced Coffee" we were giggling at though they were out...sigh! Sparkd' Energy looked promising though they were out...sigh!Talk about pivot times two she got the Chai Latte while I got the Dunkin' Energy Punch which is powered by Rockstar oo! She absolutely loved her drink and mine was a bit sweet but we different and loved the time spent talking and laughing is what it's all about and the staff were such a delight and can see why many come here as the vibe was bright.Thank you!"
"My sister was in town for Thanksgiving and she was craving Leonard's malasadas. There were limited places open so I wasn't sure if they were going to be open. However, as we drove past we saw a man carrying two boxes so I quickly turned inside the parking lot. As we got closer, I realized that they were actually closing and it appeared that the worker was taking some malasadas home. He looked at us as we passed and made a motion for us to stop. I couldn't believe when he asked us if we wanted a box. "Are you sure??" I asked as my hand was already out the window LOL. How could I say no to a box of freshly made malasadas?? I couldn't believe the generosity of this really kind man. I didn't get a chance to get his name but wow did he make our day! I feel sorry for whoever he was going to share these malasadas with, we really scored!"
"Dear Zippys, Your maple bars are the bomb. Would you please consider putting some slices of bacon on them and selling it that way? This would make my year. Cherry napples are also bomb, but seem to be shrinking over the years despite prices going up. My daughter's favorite are the glazed donuts with the chocolate in the middle."
"By far a great place for donuts and pastries. The owner is terrific and friendly. Always a "hello" and greeting. Convenient right next to bus stops. During the week he has a good selection and on Saturday morning it is just nice to grab a few donuts. Very relaxed atmosphere and easy to find. Support your local businesses. I recommend the apple fritter it is almost a whole meal!"
"If I want malasadas, I go to Leonard's Bakery. If I want cocoa puffs, I go to Liliha Bakery. If I want a cake, I go to Sam's Club (I'm not that particular and I'm cheap). But if I want an apple turnover, I go to Napoleon's Bakery for their apple napples. No one else comes close to their light and flakey pastry. Sooo delicious - and messy :-)"
"First time having a Malasada and it was amazing! Loved the custard filling inside, especially when it was warm."
"AMAZING! My family and I had Maple Bars here on Friday then we went in today and ordered 12 Maple Bars for next Sat for my hubbys birthday and donuts for today of course. They're always Fresh and polite customer service with a smile... We have found our Donut Home"
"Super fast service no line when we arrived. Waited maybe 10 mins after ordering to get our hot & fresh Malasada. The coconut one was my filling. I was able to mix and match. Got 3 coconut, 1 chocolate & 2 sugar one. Definitely recommend trying once when in Hawaii"
"Highly recommend Custard Pie. Currently $26 (price has increased) Lee's Bakery located in Chinatown, N. King Street, Near Open Market. Owner (wife) is always pleasant and friendly. A really nice person. Besides pies, there are pastries, donuts, hong Kong bun, sponge cake. Very fresh. I normally order a lot, since I hardly get a chance to go to Chinatown often. Owner (wife) provides a free recycle brown bag, very nice of her! I appreciate it.Open daily. Highly recommend."
"Located in a booth at Ka Makana Alii near Zumiez and the main stage area is where you'll find these new donuts that have melt in da mouth kine action!I've seen these donuts on social media somewhere before but didn't know where we could get them until we were making our way towards the center of the mall and we saw this bright pink stand! The guy working there was super nice and even offered us samples. We tried the cinnamon sugar and oh boy it literally melted in your mouth and can tell the batch was freshly made. They also have fruity pebbles flavor and their special today was strawberry match. These are very tiny, airy donuts with shaken in a bag for flavor and the price isn't that bad for the quality/flavors. 1 dozen for $8, 2 dozen for $12, or 3 dozen for $15. And you bet we got the 3 dozen! LOL.Currently no cash accepted. Only Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Definitely will be coming back when we're in the area again!"
"Located inside Zippy's restaurant. Bought half a dozen bread pudding for only $9.11. The bread pudding is perfect in terms of taste and consistency."
"I'm not the biggest fan of malasadas, but this place might have sold me on them. We got one fresh malasada and it was crispy, doughy (but not too doughy), and coated with the perfect amount of sugar. They're definitely made fresh to order since we had to wait a couple minutes for it to cool down. The food truck is conveniently located near a good coffee shop, so it makes for a great stop in the morning."
"Only open on Wednesdays from 9:30am to 5:30pm! This is a must try when in Oahu and worth the wait if there's a line!! Must eat fresh! It's like an old fashion cinnamon, doughy, fresh out the fryer, and delicious"
