"From dim sum (pork hash) to dessert (Japanese style cheesecake, mochi, Oreo cheesecakes), E&H creates delicious delicacies and delivers them with a smile!! This is a Ohana run operation with a lot of talent, heart, and flexibility. Always accommodating and consistently good, they even have special dishes for holidays and have come up with different dishes over time! We have been ordering from them for years and always look forward to having their dishes to share, especially for parties and family get-togethers. Try them out and they'll be your go-to for pot lucks or whenever you need a treat!! Love them and their food!!"
"Ordered takeout and it was just ok. The shrimp dumplings had small shrimp. The look funn (even tho I ordered pork) it came with shrimp.. each noodle only had ONE shrimp. The Sui Mai was oversteamed. The pork ribs had so much bone that most of it was inedible. This was Takeout tho... the entire order was around $30 and I wouldn't recommend it."
"Growing up I loved Morimoto! So when we visited Oahu, I knew I had to check out his restaurant! But overall decently let down. We made reservations and it was early. We were seated all the way in the back. Not a lot of people were dining so I was annoyed we were no where near the beach views. Staff were ok, no one really went above and beyond. Our waitress didn't engage with us that much. Inside is comfortable and pretty. Menu wise, wow, you pay a lot for a little. We tried a good amount of everything and it was all delicious but left us wanting to go somewhere else for actual dinner. Ordered the orange chicken, dim sum platter, fried rice, and donuts for dessert. Everything is a la carte as well."

"I haven't been here in awhile, but the food is still on point. I love their plate lunches. That's what I mostly come here for. I know everyone else loves their manapua and pork hash. They have a good variety of manapua to choose from. I prefer the standard char siu manapua. I was lucky that someone showed up at my job with a box of manapua and pork hash for us. It was the baked original char siu one and it was yummy. The breading wasn't too thick and it was stuffed with a lot of meat. I love pork hash and it went well with the hot mustard shoyu mix that they had. If you get a chance to try this place out. Make sure to try a plate lunch, manapua and a pork hash."
"Breakfast with mom in Honolulu, Hawaii...I wanted a convenient place for my mom to dine - where she wouldn't have to walk too far. The Lanai at Ala Moana Center is a relatively new food court (started in 2018) that has many choices, free covered parking on the Mall Level, has clean restrooms, and shared dining area withair conditioning. We chose YYK Dimsum because they were open; the containers of food were ready to go; and there was no line.Mom got a 2-pack of steamed cha siu bao (BBQ pork buns), and I got wonton soup and a 2-pack of Shrimp & Chive dumplings. Mom said that the bread of the cha siu bao was kind of mushy - I guess the steam collected in the container while it was in the warmer. The bottom of the Shrimp & Chive dumplings were a bit mushy, too, for the same reason. However, the flavor was great! The wonton soup was alright! I liked the shrimp in each Dumpling - and I think there were 5 dumplings instead of 4 as advertised!I was glad that mom was able to recognize this area as where Shirokiya was (next to Macy's) - back in the day. Yes... Ala Moana Center (the largest outdoor mall in the world) has really changed and grown!"
"Delicious Sunday Breakfast! Posting a little late as I went a couple of weeks ago...but this is a great spot in Chinatown, Honolulu. Great for big families, it was us and our friends with their kids, who had called a head to reserve a table. Dim sum is fresh and delicious, very flavorful. Lots of options to chose from. Everything comes out fast since they are so busy they anticipate such a huge rush and come out with food to choose from. Really friendly service too!!"
"The food is great there! Service is fast and friendly. They didn't have the carts ready so they brought our food to the table. Highly recommend this place. I'll definitely be back again! Our favorite was the char siu look fun, char siu bao, eggplant, deep fried shrimp, and shu mai."
"01/31/25-updateCelebrated Chinese New Year with Yelp friends tonight. A beautiful night of food, friendship and fun. The 9 course meal selected by our hosts was amazing, savory, spicy and sweet. Please see pictures for the dishes. Service was great and follow up with tea replenishment is appreciated!Parking validation at the restaurant is provided here. $2.00 total for the evening event. We parked at Alii Place on Alakea Street.Restrooms are available inside of the restaurant."

E & H Cafe has been the best at feeding my dimsum and sweets addictions!!!10/10 Highly recommend! Customer service is great and very accommodating. My go-to place to order my favorite wontons (porkhash), gaugee, and sweet treats! The wontons are absolutely addicting! Their Japanese style Cheesecake is always so fluffy and tastes amazing and can't forget about the banana mochi! When Chinese New Year comes around, they'll always hook you up with the best Gau on the island!

Great food! Great service. Pretty slow during Wednesdays. Great alternative to our regular Mei Sum Dim sum when they are closed.

Morimoto is worth a photo!! Made reservations for 7:30pm. We had heard good things about this place so decided to give it a try. We arrived on time and were seated promptly. We waited for about 10-15 mins before the waiter came around and when he did he asked us if we had been brought water yet. Our glasses were empty so clearly we weren't. He said he would get the water and right back. He returned quickly and filed our glasses with water and asked if we were ready for drinks. We advised yes we were ready to order drinks. At this point he said he would put the water jug down and come back to take our drink orders. Instead he walked to the table next to us and started taking their food orders. Nonetheless once we got our orders in it was smooth from there. The drinks were good. I had the casual encounters cocktail and it was very refreshing. The food started coming out one by one. The duck came out first and it was to die for. Some of the best duck I have had. Really tasty. Tender. Flavorful. We did order the house fried rice as well which is not pictured but it was also really good. The whole fish came out next. The presentation was great and the fish is deboned which makes it easier to eat. Be careful though there is always some little bones left. The end the evening we tried the Ube Cheesecake. It was decadent and really tasty with the lilikoi and the toasted coconut. If you like Ube you will like this. Overall despite the slow start Morimoto finished strong.

Perplexed at the reviews for this restaurant. 4 and 5 stars but the review don't match...I know better than to just walk in THEN read but my bad. That said, I was getting my hair cut in the same center and I thought I'd just stop in with my friend and check it out.Entering at 12:30 I expected to see a pretty full restaurant. There were two tables occupied, one with eight people the other with four people. We were seated at a table for four which was not comfortable as the chairs were so tightly pushed together there wasn't a quarter inch between them. The burner in the middle of the table was covered because we weren't going to use it. Asked if we wanted tea we nodded, said yes please and water. Tea was brought but no water. A different server came by later and asked if we wanted water and brought it over.Ok, perusing the menu we ordered the pan fried dumplings, egg rolls, beef brisket soup and my friend wanted the Ma Po Tofu stating she wanted hot and spicy. Food arrived and first those dumplings (?) sure looked like Deep Fried GauGee to me. I asked the waitress who suddenly spoke no English and she nodded saying yes, Pan Fried Dumplings. These were the most tasteless GauGee on the island. Same for the Egg Rolls...which came with Sweet & Sour sauce but inside were pieces of shrimp and mush. My Beef Brisket soup came out piping hot and I could not wait to dig into it but to my dismay the broth and brisket was utterly flavorless. Not even salt. Added soy sauce and chili paste and hot mustard just to give it something. Even the brisket was just boiled meat. I asked my friend how her MaPo Tofu was she said "spicy hot and flavorless" adding several shakes of salt. We asked for our check, refused the offer of takeout boxes and left. The only reason I'm giving three stars is the staff is accommodating but the food is not worth a return visit.

A nice take out dim sum option in the Chinatown area. Like a certain ice cream shop, they have a wide selection of Manapua/bun selections to select from. The usual dim sum type suspects are available like the half moon, pork hash, chow fun, etc. Kind of reminiscent of Kwon On in Kaimuki back in the day (boy do I miss Kwon On.). On the fringe of Chinatown in the Chinese Cultural Plaza complex. Validated parking is available in the main parking structure and the smaller parking area right behind Royal Kitchen. This is a definite option when buying take out Manapua goodies when you have the craving.

Food court dim sum? Why not? True, they're not served in steaming bamboo baskets. True, the selection isn't the greatest. But hey, I'm not complaining as we have Z-E-R-O dim sum places on Maui. ATMOSPHERE:Located in my favorite mall food court, The Lanai at Ala Moana Center, seating is at a premium as it's shared amongst other eateries. MENU:A handful of selections packed in takeaway containers. FOOD:Chicken Feet - $6.25, 4 pcs.I've always loved chicken feet since childhood. Finished in a traditional black bean sauce, they were tender and flavorful. If you're wondering what it tastes like, soft chicken skin would be my best description. It's also labor intensive as you're constantly discarding bones & cartilage. And no, there are no toe nails to deal with, LOL. Hey, don't knock it until you've tried it!Siu Mai (shrimp) - $6.76, 4 pcs.The filling was a dense yet moist mixture of savory pork & shrimp, with thin & soft wrappers. SERVICE:It's grab and go from the display case. Cashier was friendly, smiley and professional.TIP:Beverages & booze available from neighboring bar, Agave & Vine. OVERALL:Your sole option for dim sum in the world's largest open-air mall.

Very good authentic dimsum [Honolulu HI]Since my knowledge of dimsum is limited to only shu mais and xiao long baos, my friend Kathy did all the ordering for us. The ladies would come around with their dimsum cart and this is what we got:Deep Fried Taro PuffFried Shrimp WontonShanghai Dumplings (Xiao Long Bao)Pan Fried Shredded Taro CakeCustard Tart (egg tart)Chicken Feet w/ Black Bean SauceSteamed Spinach and Shrimp DumplingBeef Look FunShu MaiSeafood RollSteam Shrimp BallHar GowMost of the dimsum came in threes. What my friend did was she set a third plate for my hubby who couldn't join us. She would set the 3rd piece on the extra plate. Towards the end of our meal she had the plate wrapped to go so I can take it to him. Everything we ordered was delicious... except I still will not try the chicken feet. Parking is available in the building with inexpensive parking rates. Fook Lam Seafood Restaurant is located in the Chinese Cultural Plaza in Chinatown Honolulu. Thank you, Kathy! Review #3573

This place is infamous for their staff yelling at each other. When we walked in, we got the usual "how many?" Yelled to us and we were directed to a table against the wall when we said there were only two of us. Lunch dim sum was good and they offered the spicy chili sauce that's so good with dim sum. We had a bunch of dim sum and hot tea. The place is pretty scary, but the food is always great.

"I would frequent this restaurant a lot for take out in previous years as a student going to school and loved their food from the beginning. I had once again returned at the start of the Chinese New year & parade and we were definitely here for it! Always a local favorite of mine when it comes to Dim sum, I knew that this was the perfect simple date night to bring my husband to try and knowing that it would be busy for the holiday weekend I made sure to make advance reservations. The Dim sum did not disappoint and as I'm writing this now I can still taste the half moons, shrimp look fun and pork hash that we tried as well as the shrimp dumplings just to name a few. I love the jian dui or sesame ball for dessert and the egg drop soup was a nice accompaniment before attending a show at the Hawaii Theater for the evening. The ambiance is very casual and the service is always friendly quick and efficient! Be prepared to pay for parking too right across the street"
"Harbor village cuisine is one of my favor for authentic Chinese cuisine, particularly Braised Fish Fillet & Tofu which many consider the best in the area. My son's favor egg tart, my husband's favor dried scallops and egg white fried rice ! As good as always! These are our dinner tonight !"
"Sunday January 12, 2025. We decided to try here as we were in the area. The food was easy to order as it was by numbers and you marked down the quantity on the order sheet. The food came out shortly after. It looked good and it tasted good too. We ordered too much and ended up taking it home to eat for tomorrow. Eyes bigger than the stomach. Never go to a food place really hungry and this is going to be your first meal for the day. The service was fast and friendly. The ambiance was casual and not needed to dress up unless you want to. There is plenty parking in the lot and street parking is rare. With seafood in the name of the restaurant name. I would think there would be lobster, crab, mussels and so on. They had only shrimp for their seafood dishes. Oh, wells. It was still good."
"My mouth is watering writing this review, LOL. Get ready for the kanak attack after eating here xD Seriously though, this place has some of the BEST dim sum on da island!! My family and I love coming here for lunch on Sundays. After our previous favorite place at Ala Moana closed down years ago, we've been looking for a replacement Dim Sum restaurant that had our beloved crispy seaweed rolls. Alas, my dad came across Hawaii Dim Sum & Seafood Restaurant and we've only been coming here since. We've ordered here for casual lunches to catering for holiday parties and this establishment has consistently served us amazing food. Everything tastes so fresh and flavorful (not overly salty either). My favorites are the siumai and the char siu bao, yummm. Service is quick and staff are very hardworking. The inside is quite large with high ceilings and the aroma of the food hits you right when you open their doors~There was no wait when we arrived around noon, and we've never had to wait in the past either. The parking lot entrance is on Nimitz, and it's valet only. Definitely come here for your dim sum fix!"
"Been here my second time after the rush of their initial opening.I am Chinese so my review is due to authentic Chinese dim sum and comparing to the Chinatown counterparts.I ordered the pork hash siu mai and fried turnip. The siu mai was okay. It had good sizable shrimp pieces and was fairly tender and had flavor. The turnip was excellent. There was a bit of a wait but it came out hot and fresh with a crispy outside and tender inside.I think the reason I didn't give it higher stars is the disposable plates and napkins and utensils with the higher prices. $6.50 per plate. I will come back and try one of their noodle dishes and see again. But at least there is a dim sum place on the Windward side that's not too shabby!"
"Haven't ate dim sum in a long time so decide to swing by for lunch. It was pretty busy but the food came out fast. I enjoyed the noodles better than the dim sum. The service here really depends on the waitress. Some very rude, while others extremely nice! Rude ones threw our take out boxes at us and walk away mid ordering. Food was good edible but I would not return. Ambiance is nothing special, typical Chinese restaurant vibes."
"Fair pricing, manapua is packed with filling!!! Super friendly young lady at the counter!!! Food is tasty! Like to go at least once a week for boba!!! Yummy!!!"
"This use to be my go-to for manapuas. What happened?!I understand having to raise your prices because everything else went up. But to raise your prices and cut the portions. The baked manapua was half the size as before, it was chewy..overall nothing compared to how it use to be. Looked like a dinner roll. Guess I won't be coming back for awhile."
"Let's just say this is our family's new favorite Chinese restaurant! Came here on a whim on Feb. 1st to continue our celebration of Lunar New Year and we were ALL PLEASANTLY SHOCKED at pretty much everything. Ever since the food quality and taste at our long time favorite spot went downhill, we have been looking for our next family favorite and believe this is it. -Cindy was our waitress and was fabulously accommodating. She spoke pretty good English AND had a sense of humor, you don't see that everyday!-their tables for 10 are the bigger sized ones so you have enough elbow room to enjoy your food without feeling so cramped.-they changed our plates multiple times, if I remember correctly, I'd say it was at least 4 times. -we ordered the 10 top menu and every course was generously portioned and delicious. We also ordered a couple of ala carte dishes and those did not disappoint. There is valet parking at the Hyatt and the restaurant does validate. I'm hoping that our future dining experiences here will stay consistent but so far, so good!"
"The dining room is Huge! Haven't been here in probably 12 years. The air is filled with yummy smells and the noise level is quite loud due to very busy restaurant with patrons occupying tables of 2 to 5 or more.Very eye catchy decor with crystal light fixtures and columns, partitioned doorways for private parties and black metal carved out with dangly prism like elements filling the central main dining room.At least 4 huge flower arrangements at each corner of the room.No dim sum during dinner, no Peking duck available tonight. Wanted Minced beef soup but too large for only two of us.First entree has arrived. The ung choy was the best I've ever had, deep green, the flavor was excellent with garlic. The capital pork chops was moist, juicy and tender. It was an orangey color but tasted similar to sweet sour spareribs. One more dish to come... we need to dash off in 20 minutes cuz we have a show to attend. Just in time. The food is worth the wait."
"It seemed like a run down place with many businesses next to each other. I based my pick off yelp reviews. I was looking forward to trying some legit dim sum. Ive ate a ton of dim sum in life but this place is horrible. Never in my life i took a bite and spatted out dimsum. This is the first time i did. The dim sum had a detergent taste that wouldn't leave ky mouth after one bite. I didn't chew any more after the bite and a chew. It was disgusting in flavor and detergent taste that wouldnt leave my mouth. I gave it benifit of doubt and bit into a shrimp dumpling then fried meat dumpling. Overall the entire taste was a big NO. First and last. No thanksThe guy that work jere is nice the food is just horrible"
"If I could give them 100 stars, I would!!Came as they were closing. They were still able to give me what I asked for. Their food quality is amazing! Their portions are more than generous. The store front is quaint and to the point. Everything is labeled clearly and they have a very wide variety for such a small shop. I hope small businesses like this gem stay open forever!!"
