"Tropicakes did an incredible job for my girlfriend's birthday! I placed my order ahead of time and shared my own vision after reviewing their cakes and color schemes. They were more than happy to accommodate, with excellent communication throughout the process. The cake was ready right on time and exceeded all expectations. It was visually stunning and absolutely delicious! Thank you, Tropicakes, for adding a special touch to our celebration."
"Cake M is located on the 3rd floor of 808 center, near the stairs and I'm so glad I came. I wanted to buy a little sweet for my birthday and I love panna cotta! ***What I ordered **Mango Panna Cotta (9/10) ~ I'm not a fan of the mango texture, but it went really well with the panna cotta. There was a perfect mix of refreshing and creamy taste to it all! I really do wish that they added a little more of the mango syrup/layer with the panna cotta! But it was super good and not too sweet! Overall,I actually bought the last one (so glad I did)! It was really good! Although, it was on the pricey side. Honestly, I wouldn't mind coming back! :)"
"Her store is absolutely adorable and decorated in pink (not pictured). I reached out to her on Instagram and finalized my order through email. She was very nice and reasonable, offering great help with creativity! My husband loves cinnamon rolls, and she made that happen. I highly recommend Aloha Bites!"
"- Ordered/requested quote: 28 Nov 2022- Confirmation/payment: 29 Nov 2022- Pick up: 2 Dec 2022 Cake details: Cake (Medium 15-20 Servings )8" Round - Chocolate CakeFilling: Vanilla ButtercreamCovering: Vanilla ButtercreamThis cake, for me, was a last-minute thought. So, after the baker I usually used informed me that she was booked, I started to frantically search my trusty Yelp app for bakers late Monday evening (28 November 2022). Luckily, I came across Oahu Cakes!! I was skeptical of the short notice, getting what I wanted, the price, and the taste. Well, Yelp, I am happy to inform you that I was not disappointed with any of my desires. Submitting a quote was easy and straightforward. The online submission form made the step by step process easy. I selected the flavor I wanted, the size, the theme, the pick up date (this is based on a pop up availability calender on te site), and any additional notes to get an accurate quote. And I was able to submit a picture of something similar to what I wanted. I had to submit my request for a quote on Oahu Cakes website (I couldn't find a direct contact via Yelp). But once I submitted it, I received a copy of my request to my email. Since it was late Monday evening, I impatiently checked my email every few minutes the following day (Tuesday). I finally got a text message late Tuesday morning from someone who identified themselves as Ashli from the bakery. (Honestly, I was a bit skeptical because I automatically thought scam... since it's the holiday season, increased vigilance is necessary). Anyway, Ashli's text had a copy of my quote and asked that I confirm accuracy. If everything was accurate, she asked that I use the provided link to make a deposit to solidify my order (another reason I thought scam...hey, you can't be too cautious!!). The link looked legitimate, so I proceeded and made my payment. Thursday (1 December 2022 at 1231pm), I had not received any updates, so I sent a text to the same number confirming my pick-up time. Yelp, there was no response to my text all day, so again, I think, SCAM. Lmao. Yes - I was catastrophizing!! I went on the website, checked the business number, and of course, it did not match the one I received the text from. However, the guy who answered was able to confirm that the cake was baked. They just needed to put the finishing touches, but I was good to pick up at my requested time. Whew! Friday morning, I received a picture message of the cake from Ashli. It was beautiful!! I transported the cake to my event and that was that. Not only did it look amazing, but it also tasted great. It was chocolate with unexpected but pleasantly surprising chunks of chocolate. Yummy. I was also surprised that the cake was bigger than I expected and had 3 layers!! I wished I had taken a picture showing the inside while it was cut, but I was too busy enjoying it. Although I was skeptical, I was blown away and would highly recommend Oahu Cakes for your specialty cakes."
"I recently learned about Little Ms Hula's when I saw an IG post showing her lovely summer box of macarons. All shapes and sizes and flavors. I ordered a box to take to a friend's shower and they were a hit! (Jennifer was so accommodating and helpful!) Can't wait to have an excuse to order more."
"Cute little place in Kilohana Square in Kapahulu that you wouldn't know was there unless you happened upon it. The same location as Threadfin, so could be a dinner and dessert follow up or dessert before dinner kind of thing . Quite a few options for ice cream cake by the slice, ice cream cupcakes, shave ice, and ice cream. Wanted to try a slice of cake, but decided on Coffee & Bailey's ice cream. Came with two scoops ($5)...love liquor ice cream that you can actually taste the liquor. One bite and yup, there it was. There is a small seating space along the window to dine in. But, this place might be more like takeout or at least sit in your car to eat. There was a big group of 8-10 people when we went, so it was very crowded inside, making it a challenge to look at the case and navigate to get in and out. Still it's a good place for dessert, as they're open until 8 or 9.Will be back to get me some cake!"
"I'll start by saying that I absolutely love the food here. Five stars for that. I mean, have you tried their grilled garlic salmon? It's so good it could probably convince a lifelong vegetarian to reconsider their life choices. Seriously, it's delicious! Their rolls are good too. However, what I'm not as enthusiastic about is the time it takes to get your food. We waited a good half an hour today for our meal, and it was a to-go order with nobody else in the place. Déjà vu hit me hard because the same thing happened when I was here in April. Honestly, I have more success ordering from them through Uber Eats, which seems ironic, doesn't it? That being said, if you have the time to spare, it's definitely worth the visit. The customer service has always been friendly, which makes the wait a bit more bearable. On a sweeter note, they also have some amazing desserts. My new favorite? The Ube brownie. If you haven't tried it, you're missing out--it's a purple slice of heaven!"
"My mind has been blown and that is a good thing. I HEART Not Just Desserts!!!(Que DJ, rock band and electric guitar solo )I went to Not Just Desserts today for a lunch meeting and after reading through the quick tips on my Yelp app, I ordered the spinach and artichoke pasta with chicken for $8. It was delicious and the portions were huge! (Que twenty foot high electrified letters and hot half-naked male dancers)I only managed to eat half my plate. Chef Kate walked us through her selection of desserts and I got the haupia bread pudding for $4. I will admit that I am a dessert whore but bread pudding has never been my favorite dish. Served warm and topped with freshly made whipped cream, the haupia bread pudding was freakin' AMAZEBALLS! It had a light texture and each bite was full of sweet coconut flavor. I feel like JLo!!!(Que sparks, fireworks and fan breeze to make hair waaaay sexy)So if you're ready to hit an off the beaten path, hole-in-the-wall cafe that has zero fancy but all the kick you in the pantsy flavor?! Then meet me at Not Just Desserts for a rockstar worthy meal! We're not worthy! We're not worthy! We're not worthy!Yelp 365 Challenge: #90/365 (The Music Video)"
"Summary. Delicious cake! Real ingredients. I will order from them again. Background. Tough to find a quality custom cake around Christmas time. So many better bakeries won't do it, as if no one is born or gets married in December. A Cake Life came through. Plain vanilla was preferred and the Classic White Cake fit the bill. There are a number of other flavors available. Ordering the smaller size (5-10), thought it would be a moderate sized layer cake. It was huge, so heavy, I weighed it, five and a half pounds! Many more servings than ten. Quality. The real buttercream icing was slathered on like buttering brick mortar, thick. Believe the cake had at least three pounds of butter. The cake layers tasted buttery, like homemade from scratch. Cost. Yes, it was pricey, but worth it. Looking through their photo gallery, there are other options, including sheet cakes, that may not be as massive and costly. One quibble, tried to convey that I wanted a holiday motif, red and green decoration. A simple Christmas tree piped across the top would have been fine. But couldn't get that across over the phone. Instead, they offered red, white and green floral decorations. Thought that meant flowers made of icing but turned out, they were real flowers and foliage. Not Christmassy at all, BUT classy. Location. Thought I knew where the bakery was. Stopped by there years ago, unsuccessfully seeking a ready made cake. They only make cakes to order. But this time, it didn't appear to be clearly marked. It's in the interior Makai-Ewa corner of the strip mall. Look for signs that say knock for deliveries. Think that's the kitchen door."
"At the Okinawan Craft Fair today, sampled Mandy's Munchies gourmet flavored marshmallows in lilikoi, chocolate, pineapple, candy cane, and cinnamon swirl. Ono! Bought the chocolate, cinnamon swirl, and the lilikoi flavors, 3 packages for $15. Woo hoo!"
"Welcome U-ni Sweets! A new fusion bakery and bubble tea shop in Kalihi. U-ni's IG-worthy desserts are very light and full of whipped cream.Instead of their lava cakes having a warm molten center, these cakes have a collar, that when lifted, releases a flood of icing that erupts over the cake. The bento cakes are mini cakes in flavors like mango, Oreo, and salted egg yoke with pork floss. There are different flavored tiramisus and croissants that are filled and iced.A slice of chocolate cake was light in flavor and texture, with only a hint of chocolate in the flecks of chocolate in the whipped cream. The ube crepe cake was very pretty with over 20 layers of thin crepe, moistened and held together with whipped cream. While it was pleasantly tender and fresh, it was barely sweet and tasted like batter and cream. While the desserts are light, the milk teas are heavy. The brûlée devil milk tea had a cheese foam and ube devil milk tea had custard at the bottom. We got the drinks 50% sweet and wished we'd asked for 25% instead. The brûlée tasted like brown sugar syrup. The ube tasted like ube and powdered milk.If you like whipped cream, U-ni is perfect for you! Enjoy an individual dessert and get your camera ready!"

We celebrated my daughter's first birthday away from home so I wanted to make sure she had a great birthday cake. I reached out to tropicakes and they were easy to work with and great with communication. As soon as I booked the cake the owner reached out right away to work with me on the design. We picked up the cake on my daughter's birthday and it was beautiful. The owner even gave us a set of candles and happy birthday cake topper. There is a lot of attention to detail as the cake has hidden treasures on top like handmade chocolate shells and glittery macaroons. As we ate it in our hotel lobby people would pass by and comment on how beautiful the cake is. If you want a memorable beautiful cake I highly recommend tropicakes.

I was going to get sushi when I noticed this cute little shop on my way and decided to take a look inside. At first I only noticed the drinks, but then saw that there was a bunch of pastries. I decided to get their fruit tart. The fruit was perfectly proportioned with fruits and the tart itself. Not sure if I would get it again for nine dollars, but it maybe I'll try something else next time. There are a couple of tables and chairs where you could enjoy your drink and pastry if you want.

I ordered a large (25-30 servings) 10" round cake from Ashli and so happy I did! This was for my husband's retirement party. I googled custom cake bakers in the area and Oahu Cakes was one of them. I went through all her photos on IG to get some ideas and shared them with Ashli. She did a phenomenal job and it was a hit at the party! It was a dense cake but needed to be in order to hold the weight of the fondant. However, it was moist and super flavorful. The cake was much larger than I had expected. Thanks so much Ashli!

The designs were amazing & oh my gosh the taste- everyone raved how delicious everything was!!! My kids that hate frosting couldn't stop eating it oh and she nailed the caramel popcorn!!!! Taste too!!!! Moist, flavorful - ugh my only regret was not purchasing more!Highly recommend & will definitely be ordering from her from now on.

Didn't know about this shop. Its hidden along Kapahulu ave. We got an assortment of slices for a dinner we were attending. Everyone enjoyed the desserts and asked where it was from. The owners were very nice. Prices are worth the desserts. Definitely will go back.

Whenever I'm in Dillingham this would be my go-to lunch spot! Hands down the best "fast food/convenient" sushi spots. Finally took my husband here for lunch so he could try and he's a very PICKY eater when it comes to sushi and prefers higher end sushi spots. But HE loved this place! From the quality of the food, the customer service, the ambiance and decor, it's truly amazing! A nice spot to have a cute lunch date. It was my first time dining in and they serve the food on plates instead of take out containers for that extra dine in experience. I also tried their black tea drinks and it was delish! My go to order is:Garlic salmon (5/5): the sear of the salmon with the garlic mayo and unagi sauce is just top tier! I don't know any place that sells this & it's seriously my favorite!! Spicy ahi inari (5/5): ahi is fresh with a little hint of spice! Mango black tea with lychee jelly (5/5): perfect balance of sweetness. It pairs nicely with the jelly. Strawberry shortcake (5/5): IF YOU HAVENT TRIED ASIAN STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE, you're missing out.I don't live nearby but i would make the drive to eat here! Craving the garlic salmon as im posting this. Highly highly recommend! It won't disappoint!

I've gone to Not Just Desserts at the KCC farmers market at least 5 times now and each time I have NOT been disappointed with my selections. My boyfriend says that I only go to the farmers market to get her desserts and he's pretty right! I told him that it was a necessity for the desserts and the produce that I pick up are bonuses. HahaChef Kate's speciality is NO SUGAR and she also makes gluten free items. SCORE for me!!! She uses honey, fruit or agave as sweeteners. She also makes her own taro flour for her chocolate cakes and chocolate bread (grain free, semi paleo friendly!), she makes her own chocolate since her family has a cacao farm and she doesn't use rice flour or soy. OMG, I am in heaven! If you can't tell by now, I'm paleo and don't eat certain things since it messes with my body big time.I overheard her speaking to another customer one day and she mentioned that she makes all these goodies bcs of her family and I just think it's wonderful that she makes these healthy treats!I'm so serious when I say that this is my go-to place for any kind of dessert or baked goods.Chef Kate changes things up at the market every week so I've had the pleasure of purchasing quite a bit of deliciousness from her over the last month. She's even cut me off a couple of times. HahaYesterday I picked up her grain, gluten and sugar free key lime bar and that thing was awesome! I usually don't like bars bcs they can be dry, crumbly or just bla. Hers was moist with enough tanginess from the limes and it was refreshing. I couldn't stop eating it. Then I got a strawberry boston cream slice or is it strawberry shortcake? Whatever it was, it was beyond delicious! My first instinct was to just buy the whole cake but I told myself that I would just get a slice to try it out bcs what if I don't like it? So I should have listened to my instincts bcs that thing was that good! I ate some yesterday and forced myself to save the rest for today. Today rolls around and I ate it for breakfast. Then I told my bf, "I'm going to order that strawberry cake for my birthday. I'll let you have some too" hahaSome other favorites of mine: cherry chocolate cake or any of her chocolate cakes, pistachio cake, lilikoi cheesecake and her infamous truffle coconut flour brownies. She has some gluten free muffins and sometimes she has scones. My bf eats wheat so he likes her cinnamon rolls.Chef Kate's desserts are not only good but even healthy since she uses quality, local and seasonal ingredients. Her pricing is so reasonable that it's truly unbelievable! Her and her staff are always amazed at how much I buy and how fast I finish it all. I've been tempted to go to her shop for my treats but have held back on it. I like the variety at the market and the poor woman spends all night and day to make it. It truly is a labor of love and I for one am very grateful for her genius! Baking with non-traditional flour is super hard work, it's not only a science but an art form and she's a true artist!Check her out at the market or shop. I should stop by the shop since I've seen pictures of her lobster salad and that looks amazing.

"Can't recommend this place enough! I placed a custom order for 1 dozen gluten free cupcakes for my daughter's birthday (the teacher is gluten free) and they turned out amazing! I could not taste the difference between GF and a regular cupcake. Tara, (whom I believe is the owner?) was so helpful and had really great customer service!"
"Amazing little bakery with an assortment of delectables. I came to buy some cupcakes for a birthday and they had a great varsity. I ended up picking up some haupia, strawberry guava, and red velvet. I would highly recommend the strawberry guava. I was helped by one of the employees whom was really helpful. I asked what was their popular flavors and she chose these, so I bought what was recommended. My friend highly enjoyed his birthday cupcakes. It's a nice little bakery, parking out front is limited and very close to an on ramp, so sometimes it's difficult to turn into the stalls. So just a heads up. I will definitely come back to buy more cupcakes in the future!"
"Can't say enough good things about Randy and Lyn. Lyn is so creative. She sure has a gift and I'm glad I stumbled across her instagram. It just makes you want to keep planning parties so she can be a part of it. I ordered cakes from her, and a whole party package, and we've communicated through email a lot. She's pretty prompt on responding emails. My consultations with her have been easygoing and productive as well. I totally trust her ideas and her creative eye which I lack. I'm not afraid to ask for her input and what she suggests. She has a calm demeanor, and is very easy to talk to. I trusted her after 10 minutes of meeting with her. And don't be fooled, we may be just meeting with Lyn and talking ideas, but Randy is also working hard behind the scenes! I love wife - husband businesses, and I have so much respect for thriving businesses that include both spouses working together.I ordered two cakes, one for my daughter and one for my husband for their birthdays. I ordered a blues clues cake at first for my daughter because she LOVED watching blues clues on her ipad, then she had a dramatic shift and wanted to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse like all the time!! I changed the theme 2 weeks before I had to pick up the cake, and Lyn was totally find with it. I ordered a skeet shooting cake for my husband because that sport is his passion. He was Sooo excited for it! Lyn didn't have any experience in making that theme, but I sent her pictures and ideas, and she brought it to life. She even picked the right shot gun to place on his cake. The cakes looked great, but omg they tasted SOOOOOO good. I didn't know which one was my favorite. I thought I'd love strawberry, but the chocolate was amazing too. I would purchase other cakes from her again just to eat the cake. I have a party package coming up soon in May, and I'm so excited for Lyn and Randy to make that vision come to life for our family again! Make Randy and Lyn your ONE STOP party boutique!"
"I recently ordered a fully gluten free cake from Pu'uwai Aloha Bakery & I have to say they exceeded all of my expectations! I know it can be difficult to find gluten free baked goods that are not dense but this vanilla cake was wonderful. It was soft & tasty. The Lilikoi frosting was fantastic. Not too sweet and very lite. In my order request, I requested if they could do fresh fruit and flowers in a simple design. I didn't know what to expect and my expectations were low because I was thinking it would be similar to a store bought cake design (Sorry) Upon picking it up and to my surprise, it was so beautiful! The design was perfect. Simple but cute. Everyone loved the cake and even asked where I got it from. We will definitely be back. If not for my friend, for myself. lol! Thank you!"
"I ordered cupcakes from here for my baby sprinkle, and they were absolutely delicious and turned out so cute! Our theme was "little cutie" and I ordered 15 orange and 15 mango cupcakes with orange buttercream. Both cupcakes were moist and seriously delicious, like little mini cakes.I found them on Yelp and called in my order about 2 weeks ahead of time. They took my order and payment over the phone. They allowed my mother in law to pick up the order, too.I love that they are open on weekends, and they open early. They had so many options to choose from, including refrigerated types and non-refrigerated types. I can't wait to go back one day and try one of their many, many flavors."
"I love the owner Lei she's super sweet and very good at communicating and gets your vision of what you want for a cake perfect."
"The most incredible wedding cakes or cakes in the world!! She made cupcakes for my wedding with a top tier cake to cut and it was to die for. I had mocha cake then double chocolate and velvet cupcakes which were displayed beautifully like a four tier cake with flowers. It was incredible! Highly highly recommend it! To top it off, Stephan was absolutely lovely and more affordable then her competitors!"
"I highly recommend Totally Baked Goodies! I wanted a beach-themed cake for my Hawaiian destination wedding and Totally Bakes Goodies totally delivered. Professional, friendly and she gave me exactly what I asked for!"
"ok! Just call me a lemming. or, just call me a searching Yelper at large. Here is my story: I see a picture by a fellow yelper of a cake that looked absolutely exquisite. So I asked about it and was given the name of the baker and her company. Since that date, I've ordered cakes from her twice. Both cakes were the Mont Blanc chestnut flavor. Hitomi (Owner and Baker) informs me she has other flavors indicating the local folk in Honolulu like her Mango and Passion Fruit flavors. I will try one of those flavors next time I have an occasion to purchase a special cake.As a side bar I learn Hitomi has a store located in the Marco Polo where other baked items are available for purchase. The store has restricted hours so I've yet to get a schedule to stop in however, it is on my hit list for next time I need special gifts. Her store is located in the Marco Polo condominium on Kapiolani Blvd.A definite must try if you haven't already. The cake runs about $50. But a infamous local pies run about $40. Both good, both in a similar price range but entire different styles of baking and flavor..."
"Cracked seed, candy, and keychains in Mililani, Oahu, Hawaii...Even though the name of this shop is "Meet Tea", it doesn't serve tea any longer. It doesn't have desserts nor other food items either. It's kind of sad because Irene M. said this place had way more merchandise, too!Hmm...Well, I know where to get li hing mui from a jar now. I did go through the cute keychains and found a white bunny with a heart! (It also came in black and turquoise.) The Hello Kitty ones and plushie bunnies were tempting...There also was a shelf of pink tumblers... maybe I should get the bunny one? ...especially since there is a Loyalty points program that links to the credit card...We probably will be back in the future... when we're back at Mililani Marketplace. Note: service was pleasant and polite. There might be a language barrier?"
"Lunch in Honolulu, Hawaii...With a name like "Sachi Sweets", I thought that I'd just be getting a dessert. This was not the case.I was surprised to see a Bento Menu! To my delight, Sachi Sweets began this new menu on 3-6-24!Lucky me!Located on the left side of King Street, next to Mama Woo's (Korean cuisine), Sachi Sweets shares a small, free parking lot. There's metered street parking, too.I saw many of my friends' check-ins, reviews, and photos, but wasn't motivated to get dessert. Now that they have bentos, too, well... I'll just have to return again!I got the Coffee Jelly with Oat Milk. It really is Jelly on the bottom of the cup - which needs to be stirred, broken up, and mixed into the liquid. The Jelly becomes like boba in a way. That's why a large straw is given! The Bara Chirashi Don Set caught my eyes as I looked over the picture menus. The main bowl is a variety of ingredients such as little cubes of fresh ahi, chunks of shrimp, ikura (salmon roe), and tamago (egg) on a bed of flavored sushi rice. It came with fancy miso soup (with nori and mushrooms) and sides such as hasu (lotus root), takuan (pickled veggies), and tomatoes. Wow!!!I also got the Shiratama Anmitsu (dessert cup) because it was intriguing. Besides fresh fruits, it had jelly squares, mochi balls, and red bean paste! I poured the black sugar syrup over everything for added dimension! This was an exceptional meal and experience! Lani, the cashier, was very patient and helpful! I told her I wanted to take photos and she let me use a side table and got a prop for me! Thank you! This is a cozy, clean, cute takeout place. Everything was packed and packaged well! I was able to share the Bara Chirashi Don Set with my mom, who really enjoyed it! The presentation and deliciousness are excellent!"
"Since my first review, Cece's has grown a lot. More pastries and way more in the open market section. This time around, we ordered another plain cheesecake, a Ube cheesecake, and a Haupia Lilikoi bar. She offered to add a lilikoi sauce on the plain cheesecake, but I told her my husband prefers it plain. The Ube cheesecake was (to me) mild on the Ube. My daughter liked it and ate 2/3 before putting it away to finish later. The Haupia Lilikoi bar was good, too. However, I preferred to eat the top part and the crust separately. Together, I don't know how to explain it except that it didn't work for me. However, I loved eating them separately . But that's just me. The crust was like a Macadamia nut cookie, and the top was a lilikoi flavored haupia.I came close to getting a brownie but held back. I asked her if she planned to come out with a sugar-free line of desserts, and she told me other people have asked, and she plans to look into it. I asked her about the Diamond Head Cookies around the store, and she explained that she normally wouldn't have brought them in, but her son offered to take 4 boxes. He thought when they asked how many he wanted, they were talking about bags . So she has 4 boxes to sell for her son's troop. $10 a bag if you want to support Boy Scouts of America and help Cece out."
"My palate was singing...Mele Mele was on my list for quite some time for one it had Matcha yes and much more...not just a simple latte :)Whoever pinned it on Yelp was wrong in a huge way though we found it as it shares the same location as the Old Waialua Sugar Mill that I've frequent on the regular in the past so I do know it quite well but didn't know that just to the right of the Mill in an old silo is simply brilliant and I absolutely loved it.This bakery bakes up some yummy treats that had me spinning with indecisiveness but have decided on "Sophia's Pineapple Sausage Bagel Weenie" woah yup and it was just that as a huge sausage that had bagel dough twisted around it was a simple yet comforting bite and pairing it wasn't easy as about eight different matcha drinks I decided with the classic "Strawberry Matcha" which was a stunning sip that wasn't too sweet and crazy creamy so that I could actually taste the matcha that didn't get lost in the drink.I loved the vibe in this cute and cozy shop with a large comfy sofa and coffee table a papasan chair though I chose a nice table for two that was right beside a window that borough in the coolest breeze was a nice and relaxing much needed break from adulting. The staff is nice and friendly who made it all with fast and efficient and with lots of parking on an unpaved dirt road made it an interesting journey but loved this new spot off the beaten path.Thank you!"
"I Ordered a 7 cupcake bouquet for my mom's birthday and they were DELICIOUS!!! The frosting was perfect because it wasn't too sweet at all and the cupcake was so very moist and fluffy! The lilikoi flavored filling in the middle most definitely added a yummy surprise. To top it off.... they were beautifully decorated with an assortment of flowers. Usually when cupcakes/cakes look so beautiful, they turn out tasting "okayish but these were on par from visual to tasting!! I would have given it a 5 star but I just thought that it was a bit pricey. I paid $57 for 7 cupcakes! I could see paying that price for 12 cupcakes maybe. Overall....love love love love these cupcakes!!! I would definitely order again if the price was a bit more affordable!!!"
"Landed upon this place since we were in the area. I ordered a few macarons, which were tasty... but why did it come frozen? Are they not fresh?"
"Quick take: This place is a gem!!!Pua Cake Studio specializes in custom cake orders. This place is located in a spot without tourists and tucked away from all the over hyped touristy places. No frills small strip of businesses off of S. Kamehameha Hwy/ Olive Ave.We ordered a Lilikoi (passion fruit) cupcake, Strawberry cupcake and a Vanilla cupcake. The frosting is made of flavored buttercream. The cake was super moist and not overly sweet. Each flavor had a puree in the middle of the cupcake. These are probably the best cupcakes that I've every eaten. I might regret sharing this secret with y'all. :)"
