"At the suggestion of Elite Gail U, Thai Bistro Suksabay became the establishment of choice for our girl's lunch.Preface by saying I rarely head west past the HNL Airport. Moreover, the RAIL construction makes it difficult to get around on the surface street. But I'll go anywhere to have a great lunch with my girlfriends.I'm certainly glad we dined here. The food was great. The service was even greater and parking is not a problem at this Pearl Kai Marketplace where Thai Bistro is located. The do close at 2 pm so if you're planning lunch, please plan to go there early,.I do recommend the stuffed chicken wings. (I try this dish at any Thai restaurant who serves this....) Thai Bistro's stuffed wings make the top 3 in in book!"
"Whenever my hubby and I crave chicken wings, our thoughts go to Vons Chicken. Now, there are several locations in town, and just as a point of information, the pricing varies from location to location. We go to this location because, between the one in Waikiki, the location in Palama Market off Kalakaua, and this one, the location on Pensacola Street, is the lowest priced. It's one of our favorite items for tailgates. I gave this location 4 stars because parking is a challenge, and sometimes the person who answers the phone when we call in an order sounds like it's a hassle to take the order. With that said, we still love the wings, and honestly, anywhere you go, wings can be pretty pricey. So we have tried several different flavors, but our fav is the crispy shoyu chicken. Now, it is crisp, not your local-style plate lunch shoyu chicken. You've got to try it to understand the difference. It is finger-licking, lip-smacking good! The location is no-frills, so don't expect anything fancy. There is no sitting area, and parking can be a challenge. It is one of those hole-in-the-wall places that is worth a try."

"Cantonese Comfort Food with an extensive menu with good portions and good prices. Service is prompt and friendly. Not much ambiance if you dine in but I didn't mind it at all very casual setting. I felt it was better to enjoy the food there. Parking in the front was minimal but there was a sign that there was additional parking."
"Outside of Waikiki with parking underneathThat have all the local drafts and many other taps. The food is also great. Tots poke sliders all hit home."
"Wow. Really great wings. Super great service. Located in HMart food court. Lots of tables. Clean."
"First time eating here! The Korean fried chicken here is Delicious! We ordered the Honey Garlic Boneless Chicken bowl and the Secret sauced Chicken sandwich with fries and drink combo. The Honey garlic chicken was sweet and savory. The bowl was filled with white rice, sprinkled with furikake, two slices of takuan (pickled daikon) and three pieces (or more if pieces are small in size) of honey garlic chicken. This is filling and a great deal for $8.99!The secret sauce chicken sandwich comes nestled in a soft and delicious warm bun, a generous amount of coleslaw and sauce. I don't recall the price and unfortunately the picture I took, cuts off the price. Just try it! The combo meal includes French fries (you can upgrade the fries if you want a fancier flavor for $$) and a drink for an additional $3.00. The perfectly seasoned chicken sandwich was awesome! Light and crispy outside, moist inside. The coleslaw and not too spicy sauce made the perfect and delicious sandwich. One of the best chicken sandwiches I have had to date! Yes, I was hungry after a great morning walk (over 10,000 steps : ). The sandwich is so big that I took home half the sandwich! We shared the hot and yummy fries. Drinks are refillable here!No indoor bathroom. Please request the code for the outside bathroom before you go. The restaurant was spacious with indoor and outdoor seating available. There are screens on the wall to entertain you and Instagram worthy decor here. Food: 5/5 starsAmbiance: 4/5 starsService: 5/5 starsThe employee who took our order was patient and answered my questions about the menu. He was personable and very nice Be prepared to wait a bit, as your order is made fresh here! It's worth the wait.Update: I reheated my leftover chicken sandwich today. Of course it did not taste as good lol. The bread and chicken skin became mushy with the wetness of the coleslaw. So I removed the bread and ate the chicken with the coleslaw. Not too bad. 3/5 stars."
"If you're craving tasty Korean fried chicken, Soul Chicken in Kalihi is the spot to hit up. Just a heads-up it's right smack dab in the middle of the Dillingham rail construction chaos, so getting there might feel like an adventure. And to make things even trickier, there are no left turns on Dillingham, so plan your route accordingly. But once you do make it there, you'll find it tucked inside Bliss Lounge & Bar, which is actually a plus. What pairs better with crispy, fried chicken than an ice-cold beer or cocktail? Plus, the space is cozy and great for hanging out with friends. Since it's inside Bliss lounge and bar, there's no table service, so you'll need to scan a QR code to order or better yet, save yourself the hassle and order ahead here: https://www.clover.com/online-ordering/soul-chicken-honoluluI've always been quoted 20 minutes for orders, but in my experiences, it's always ready sooner. If you're grabbing takeout, ordering ahead online is the way to go so you're not stuck waiting. And this chicken? Crispy, light, not greasy, and not weighed down by batter, exactly how it should be. My go to flavors are Honey Garlic and Yang Nyeom (spicy) and if you're taking it home, I highly recommend getting the sauce on the side to avoid any soggy disappointments. My only complaint are that some of these chickens look like they barely made it past chickhood because a few of the pieces are really small. I'm talking bite sized in a way that makes you wonder if they ran out of full-grown birds. But hey, what they lack in size, they definitely make up for in flavor. If you can navigate the construction mess (and the no-left-turn nightmare on Dillingham), Soul Chicken is a solid spot for some seriously good Korean fried chicken just maybe don't expect every wing to be a heavyweight or order more half dozens."

Bo's Kitchen is another Ohana Market Place success story. I used to go to their little shop in the old Sport's Authority and I'm happy another small business from that place has made it.Cooking Cantonese comfort cuisine, Bo's Kitchen is open fairly late aka 10:30 pm, by Hawaii standards, giving people a good choice for late night eats, but prepare to go to Zippy's for those staying out to the morning light. My better half wanted noodles after a Waikiki comedy show and our parking was almost up, so off to Bo's it was. There's a fair number of stalls out front and the landlord never got around to changing the reserved sign from the old Tai Sei Ramen, who used to operate in that spot.We got the beef brisket noodle soup and the beef chow fun. I have to say, the prices and quantity here are amazing compared to what other places are charging. Eating out has gotten rough in the past four years and Bo's Kitchen is a blast of fresh air in terms of value. The beef brisket noodle soup at $14.75, was delicious to me with a surprisingly large amount of tender brisket. My better half prefers thinner slices, but I was down for these big chunks, and I rarely eat beef these days. There was plenty of noodles as well and the broth was well balanced without being salty. The beef chow fun was nostalgia on a plate. Slightly greasy, dry style, with tender beef, lots of cabbage and bean sprouts, and solid flavor. It's amazing how beef chow fun has gone from $6.5 to $20 in some places over the past two decades, with ever shrinking portions. So Bo's $14.95 for a big ol' plate of steaming tasty nostalgia is a solid deal these days. Delicious and comforting. The restaurant was busy at 8:30 pm on a Wednesday, with a constant stream of people dining in and doing take out and the demographics ranged from a group of old guys to college students and everyone in between. The restaurant itself is clean, well-lit with a polite, efficient staff.

Our favorite happy hour in Honolulu!I wish we had discovered this place sooner. Growler has 70 parking stalls with security ($3) and a 100 person capacity. This would be a great venue for a party or event. Inside there are darts, restrooms, AC, more beers on tap than I have ever seen, and lots of seating. We went here after a long bike ride and they let us bring our bikes inside so we could keep an eye on them. The staff did a great job checking in on us and making the appropriate level of small talk. On the happy hour menu we loved both the margarita and the long island. Both have a generous amount of alcohol. The pretzel bites were delicious with both mustard and cheese dip choices. Off the happy hour menu we tried the tacos that I would happily order again. Great value here and a great destination for your next Pau Hana.

SLOW SERVICE!!!I placed my order at just after 5 pm. I showed up at 5:30 to pick up and I was told would be another 10 min. I could see in the back a huge pile of wings that needed only to be seasoned so I was surprised I needed to wait. Oh well no worries. 20 min later my order was still not ready. I live 5 min away so once I did receive my order I was shocked that my wings were cold. This was my second time having them. First time was amazing. I'll give them another try but at the prices they charge, I shouldn't have had cold wings.

Bbq Chicken is located in the Ku'ono Marketplace on Waialae Avenue and Hunakai Street in Kahala.Yes, another KFC place, but I found that I really enjoy their fried chicken. On my first visit we ordered a Golden Fried Chicken Plate and their Secret Sauce Chicken Plate which comes with about 7 nice size pieces of mixed drumsticks and wings. The chicken had a nice crunch, seasoned well and even with the tasty sauce, it held up well. The plate also comes with rice, 2pcs Mandoo and your choice of Coleslaw or Mac Salad. I tried the Coleslaw and Mac Salad, both were good. I love a tasty slaw. On our next visit we decided on the Mini Plates, 3 pieces chicken, rice, Mando and your choice of toss or Mac salad. I decided on the Secret Sauce Chicken this time, it was sweet and spicy, but not overly spicy. I'm thinking on my next visit I'll try the chicken sandwich as I love a good sammie. They also offer alcoholic drinks and frozen desserts.Check them out and get your cluck on!

Lunch in Kalihi, Honolulu, Hawaii...My friend, Angel H., is a chicken connoisseur. I thought that she would be a great foodie companion to go with me to Soul Chicken. We've passed by this vendor on Dillingham Boulevard many times because Costco is nearby. We heard that it was somehow connected with Bliss Lounge next door. We found out that the owner does own both businesses. We were invited to dine inside the lounge (instead of sitting outside with the wind, exhaust fumes, and traffic passing by). Great idea because of the air conditioning, convenient restroom, and comfy booth seating!Cheryl was our friendly, helpful cashier. She took our orders, told us where the entrance to Bliss Lounge was; turned the air conditioning on for us; told us where the best seat was for maximum AC; brought our meals to us; and was the perfect, cheerful, efficient host!Angel ordered the Shoyu Chicken Wings and Mandoo. I got the Honey Chicken Wings and Gimmari. We shared so that we could have a taste of each other's meals. I liked everything. I wouldn't be able to pick a favorite because each item was good in its own way. Both types of chicken wings were tasty and crunchy on the outside, and moist on the inside. Both sides (Mandoo and Gimmari) were delicious! We had a wonderful experience - mostly because of Cheryl! We look forward to returning! We really appreciated the free shared parking!

Vons seems to be a franchise eatery all across the island. Their Korean style chicken is sooooooooo flavorful plus nice and crunchy. But it's pretty pricey. It comes out to like almost 2 dollars for one small piece of chicken, but I always get it because it's worth it. My favorite is the crispy shoyu chicken and the snow fries. The dumplings are always on point and crunchy and hot.

"Chicken wings make any night better! First time trying Vons and excited to try other flavors of their chicken. We got the Crispy Fried chicken with spicy and it was spicy! Great saucy flavor, my bf recommends 10/10. I got the garlic chicken and it was good! Got 20 wings total that was good for 3 of us. Order through Uber eats and the restaurant completed the order very quickly."
"Our absolute favorite for seafood when on Oahu! The flavors and seafood quality never disappoint. Family-owned, and the owner is always so welcoming and goes above and beyond with service. Free parking, clean restrooms and dining area. Highly recommend this location to locals and visitors!"
"This review is LONG OVERDUE ... so here goes!No Hu Hu- Call Magoo's! (this was part of the Magoo's jingle YEARS ago) and even after all these years, they are still around. They are located in Kaimuki on Waialae Ave. Parking is available on the streets; Waialae Ave and also in in the municipal lot with entrance on 12th and 10th Aves. The menu is exactly as I remember it to be. There are original uniforms and memorabilia from years gone by. This visit to Magoo's brought a bunch of us Yelpers together to share in some fun, pizza, chicken wings, wine and fellowship! Hana Hou yelpers and Magoo's.footnote- I think Dan O had an informal gathering here and I couldn't attend. From that time, Magoo's had been on on my mind. Thank you Dan for the suggestion back then and giving me an opportunity to round up the group"
"I'm visiting from Los Angeles and we were so happy there is one in HNL. It's our favorite pizza from Manila so we definitely had to stop by here. We got an 18" New York's Finest, cut 16 pieces, Charlie Chan pasta and garlic parmesan wings. Everything tasted great and exactly the same as in Manila. The service was quick and kind as well. We plan to eat here again prior to going back to LA."
"Football Sunday and I was on my way to escutcheon the game and thought about getting buffalo chicken wings. I walked passed Vons and stopped in. They specialize in chickens wings and various flavors to include a mild Korean Spice wing (#2 on their menu). Closest flavor to buffalo wings. I placed a half order (10 pieces)), they were perfectly cooked, the seasoning was more of a mild spicy sweet sauce and it was just fine. The wings are big and probably the most generous I have had on island. The owners are friendly and helpful. The business is a small store front and they offer a couple of tables inside if you want to eat there. Great place and they also have larger party size orders."
"I'm not too chicken to give a restaurant a second chance and I'm glad I did because this place is peck-tacular! After a rough first visit during the soft opening, I visited this place again and was pleasantly surprised. For the food, I had popcorn chicken, waffle fries, and the shrimp sandwich. Notwithstanding my large size, I know my way around shrimp. The shrimp sandwich here is really good! The patty is filled with shrimp and has a nicely golden brown breading. It comes with lettuce, tomato, and a delicious sauce. This is the best shrimp sandwich I've ever had!The popcorn chicken is also clucking delicious. It comes with an orange sauce that is similar to the rest of the flock of chicken restaurants. The waffle fries have really leveled up since my last visit and are now worth waffling over. Located in the same shopping center as Diners/Upscale, a visit Uncles should satisfy all of your greasy desires."
"Tried their crispy seasoned half order today, 10 pieces for $18.00. I actually wanted the plate lunch shown in the photo on line but maybe next time.Usually I place a phone order but today used their on line ordering. After entering payment Spectrum went down. Wasn't sure if the order went through cuz the order number and photos of the order description showed question marks.Luckily it was ready when hubs went to pick it up.. The 10 pieces were reddish/orange in color. Oh oh... not what I thought it would look like but...I wholly enjoyed the flavor- moist, good sauce over the battered pieces. I took my 5 pieces and each bite and morsel off the bones was definitely finger licking delicious. Not sticky or spicy or dry/ but juicy and just very yummy. Make sure you have a wipes ready for after.Happy Memorial Day weekend!"
"I love Korean fried chicken but I was the only person in my group that had it. I purchased one plate to share with the family. After one wing they quickly went back to order more to eat and then some to go for later. The service was good. The staff were friendly and the food came out piping hot. This location is on the second floor of the HMart amongst several other eateries in the food court. After you order and pay, you are given a ticket with a number. You can go sit with your party and wait for your number to be called over a PA system that announces the restaurant name and ticket number. Public Bathrooms in their area require a code (5678) that someone from another restaurant was kind enough to share with us. I wouldDefinitely go back and enjoy additional flavors of chicken. Ain't nothin but chicken wing!"
"You definitely know when you're eating a pizza from Pizza Hut. Absolutely delicious and delivery was right on time."
"I ordered Uber eats delivery around 11pm so this was one of the few places open. The delivery was quick and the wings were still warm when it got here. Though I thought the wings would be crispier and the parmasean flavor would have been mixed into the crust. It's just little pieces of parmasean on top. Not bad though, I will definitely order again when I am craving for wings."
