"At the suggestion of Elite Gail U, Thai Bistro Suksabay became the establishment of choice for our girl's lunch.Preface by saying I rarely head west past the HNL Airport. Moreover, the RAIL construction makes it difficult to get around on the surface street. But I'll go anywhere to have a great lunch with my girlfriends.I'm certainly glad we dined here. The food was great. The service was even greater and parking is not a problem at this Pearl Kai Marketplace where Thai Bistro is located.The do close at 2 pm so if you're planning lunch, please plan to go there early,.I do recommend the stuffed chicken wings. (I try this dish at any Thai restaurant who serves this....) Thai Bistro's stuffed wings make the top 3 in in book!"

"Whenever my hubby and I crave chicken wings, our thoughts go to Vons Chicken. Now, there are several locations in town, and just as a point of information, the pricing varies from location to location. We go to this location because, between the one in Waikiki, the location in Palama Market off Kalakaua, and this one, the location on Pensacola Street, is the lowest priced. It's one of our favorite items for tailgates. I gave this location 4 stars because parking is a challenge, and sometimes the person who answers the phone when we call in an order sounds like it's a hassle to take the order. With that said, we still love the wings, and honestly, anywhere you go, wings can be pretty pricey.So we have tried several different flavors, but our fav is the crispy shoyu chicken. Now, it is crisp, not your local-style plate lunch shoyu chicken. You've got to try it to understand the difference. It is finger-licking, lip-smacking good!The location is no-frills, so don't expect anything fancy. There is no sitting area, and parking can be a challenge. It is one of those hole-in-the-wall places that is worth a try."

"First time eating here! The Korean fried chicken here is Delicious! We ordered the Honey Garlic Boneless Chicken bowl and the Secret sauced Chicken sandwich with fries and drink combo. The Honey garlic chicken was sweet and savory. The bowl was filled with white rice, sprinkled with furikake, two slices of takuan (pickled daikon) and three pieces (or more if pieces are small in size) of honey garlic chicken. This is filling and a great deal for $8.99!The secret sauce chicken sandwich comes nestled in a soft and delicious warm bun, a generous amount of coleslaw and sauce. I don't recall the price and unfortunately the picture I took, cuts off the price. Just try it! The combo meal includes French fries (you can upgrade the fries if you want a fancier flavor for $$) and a drink for an additional $3.00. The perfectly seasoned chicken sandwich was awesome! Light and crispy outside, moist inside. The coleslaw and not too spicy sauce made the perfect and delicious sandwich. One of the best chicken sandwiches I have had to date! Yes, I was hungry after a great morning walk (over 10,000 steps : ). The sandwich is so big that I took home half the sandwich! We shared the hot and yummy fries. Drinks are refillable here!No indoor bathroom. Please request the code for the outside bathroom before you go. The restaurant was spacious with indoor and outdoor seating available. There are screens on the wall to entertain you and Instagram worthy decor here. (this was part of the Magoo's jingle YEARS ago) and even after all these years, they are still around.They are located in Kaimuki on Waialae Ave. Parking is available on the streets; Waialae Ave and also in in the municipal lot with entrance on 12th and 10th Aves.The menu is exactly as I remember it to be. There are original uniforms and memorabilia from years gone by. This visit to Magoo's brought a bunch of us Yelpers together to share in some fun, pizza, chicken wings, wine and fellowship! Hana Hou yelpers and Magoo's.footnote- I think Dan O had an informal gathering here and I couldn't attend. From that time, Magoo's had been on on my mind. "I'm visiting from Los Angeles and we were so happy there is one in HNL. It's our favorite pizza from Manila so we definitely had to stop by here. We got an 18" New York's Finest, cut 16 pieces, Charlie Chan pasta and garlic parmesan wings. Everything tasted great and exactly the same as in Manila. The service was quick and kind as well. We plan to eat here again prior to going back to LA."

"Football Sunday and I was on my way to escutcheon the game and thought about getting buffalo chicken wings. I walked passed Vons and stopped in. They specialize in chickens wings and various flavors to include a mild Korean Spice wing (#2 on their menu). Closest flavor to buffalo wings. I placed a half order (10 pieces)), they were perfectly cooked, the seasoning was more of a mild spicy sweet sauce and it was just fine. The wings are big and probably the most generous I have had on island. The owners are friendly and helpful. The business is a small store front and they offer a couple of tables inside if you want to eat there. Great place and they also have larger party size orders."

After a rough first visit during the soft opening, I visited this place again and was pleasantly surprised.For the food, I had popcorn chicken, waffle fries, and the shrimp sandwich. Notwithstanding my large size, I know my way around shrimp. The shrimp sandwich here is really good! The patty is filled with shrimp and has a nicely golden brown breading. It comes with lettuce, tomato, and a delicious sauce. This is the best shrimp sandwich I've ever had!The popcorn chicken is also clucking delicious. It comes with an orange sauce that is similar to the rest of the flock of chicken restaurants. The waffle fries have really leveled up since my last visit and are now worth waffling over. Located in the same shopping center as Diners/Upscale, a visit Uncles should satisfy all of your greasy desires."

Wasn't sure if the order went through cuz the order number and photos of the order description showed question marks.Luckily it was ready when hubs went to pick it up.. The 10 pieces were reddish/orange in color. Oh oh... not what I thought it would look like but...I wholly enjoyed the flavor- moist, good sauce over the battered pieces. I took my 5 pieces and each bite and morsel off the bones was definitely finger licking delicious. Not sticky or spicy or dry/ but juicy and just very yummy. "I love Korean fried chicken but I was the only person in my group that had it. I purchased one plate to share with the family. After one wing they quickly went back to order more to eat and then some to go for later. The service was good. The staff were friendly and the food came out piping hot. This location is on the second floor of the HMart amongst several other eateries in the food court. After you order and pay, you are given a ticket with a number. You can go sit with your party and wait for your number to be called over a PA system that announces the restaurant name and ticket number. Public Bathrooms in their area require a code (5678) that someone from another restaurant was kind enough to share with us. I wouldDefinitely go back and enjoy additional flavors of chicken. Ain't nothin but chicken wing!"

"I ordered Uber eats delivery around 11pm so this was one of the few places open. The delivery was quick and the wings were still warm when it got here. Though I thought the wings would be crispier and the parmasean flavor would have been mixed into the crust. It's just little pieces of parmasean on top. Not bad though, I will definitely order again when I am craving for wings."
