After a rough first visit during the soft opening, I visited this place again and was pleasantly surprised.For the food, I had popcorn chicken, waffle fries, and the shrimp sandwich. Notwithstanding my large size, I know my way around shrimp. The shrimp sandwich here is really good! The patty is filled with shrimp and has a nicely golden brown breading. It comes with lettuce, tomato, and a delicious sauce. This is the best shrimp sandwich I've ever had!The popcorn chicken is also clucking delicious. It comes with an orange sauce that is similar to the rest of the flock of chicken restaurants. The waffle fries have really leveled up since my last visit and are now worth waffling over. Located in the same shopping center as Diners/Upscale, a visit Uncles should satisfy all of your greasy desires."

"I'm not going to lie, I've been waiting a year and a half for this place to open! I walked by one day, saw the construction, and got super excited, hoping the doors would open within a month or two. But month after month went by, and every time I was in the area, I'd check to see if it was finally open. Then, out of nowhere, I walked by and saw the lights on, workers inside, and the screens ready for orders. I couldn't believe it, it was finally here! Let me tell you, it does *not* disappoint. This is exactly what I've been waiting for, and it's everything Waikiki needed. The anticipation was worth it!"

There are original uniforms and memorabilia from years gone by. This visit to Magoo's brought a bunch of us Yelpers together to share in some fun, pizza, chicken wings, wine and fellowship! "Whenever my hubby and I crave chicken wings, our thoughts go to Vons Chicken. Now, there are several locations in town, and just as a point of information, the pricing varies from location to location. We go to this location because, between the one in Waikiki, the location in Palama Market off Kalakaua, and this one, the location on Pensacola Street, is the lowest priced. It's one of our favorite items for tailgates. I gave this location 4 stars because parking is a challenge, and sometimes the person who answers the phone when we call in an order sounds like it's a hassle to take the order. With that said, we still love the wings, and honestly, anywhere you go, wings can be pretty pricey.So we have tried several different flavors, but our fav is the crispy shoyu chicken. Now, it is crisp, not your local-style plate lunch shoyu chicken. You've got to try it to understand the difference. It is finger-licking, lip-smacking good!The location is no-frills, so don't expect anything fancy. There is no sitting area, and parking can be a challenge. It is one of those hole-in-the-wall places that is worth a try."

"First tried this place during Jo Koy's show and got their Pancit with Lechon kawali. I tried the Lechon and wow I think it's the best Lechon I've ever tasted! The skin was so crispy and the pork was tender. The tomatoes and onions were so full of flavor from the sauce they put on. I tried to find out where they were located and finally found them! I ordered another plate of the Lechon kawali. It wasn't cut the same as the one I got during Jo Koy's but the flavor was still there and the crispy skin!! Yummmm. The plate came with two sides and I chose salad and Mac salad. Both were delicious with the Lechon. Soooo good! I hope they stay in business for a long long time because I don't think I've ever tasted Lechon this good!! They are currently located at the Army national guard in Pearl city. Usually open Monday to Friday from 5am-1pm. They're in a blue food truck."

They specialize in chickens wings and various flavors to include a mild Korean Spice wing (#2 on their menu). Closest flavor to buffalo wings. I placed a half order (10 pieces)), they were perfectly cooked, the seasoning was more of a mild spicy sweet sauce and it was just fine. The wings are big and probably the most generous I have had on island. The owners are friendly and helpful. The business is a small store front and they offer a couple of tables inside if you want to eat there. Great place and they also have larger party size orders."

You can go sit with your party and wait for your number to be called over a PA system that announces the restaurant name and ticket number. They used to be near Ward when I first tried them and always remembered they had the best pan fried Pork Mundoo! Came on a weekday for lunch and it wasn't crowded at all. They have about 8 tables, we ordered at the counter. The guy behind the counter is the owner, and he was friendly he took our order and wiped my hubby's chair at his request. The ambiance is just like an L & L , but the food is better. My husband ordered the Boneless Honey Shoyu Chicken plate which came with 2 scoops rice and tossed salad. He enjoyed it.I just ordered the 10 piece Pan Fried Pork Mundoo. Big Mundoo, love that they put long rice noodles in it. Pan fried and they are crisp yet soft and chewy! So good! They have drinks in a chiller and we just grabbed what we wanted and paid at the counter when we were done eating, the owner kept an open tab in case we wanted anything else. I went with the chicken plate for $11.99, which comes with 4 bone-in chicken wings (I chose the shoyu flavor based on the reviews), rice, corn, 2 pieces of mandoo and kimchi. The chicken was crunchy and flavorful. It was also very juicy! It had a nice sweetness to it. I'd definitely return to try some of their other flavors! The corn tasted like it came out of a can, but the mandoo was crunchy and the kimchi was amazing!Right now they're offering free fries if you check in on Yelp. They're string fries and nothing to write home about, but hey, they're free!Definitely check them out if you're in the Hawaii Kai area. They also have several other locations on the island."

This is filling and a great deal for $8.99!The secret sauce chicken sandwich comes nestled in a soft and delicious warm bun, a generous amount of coleslaw and sauce. I don't recall the price and unfortunately the picture I took, cuts off the price. Just try it! The combo meal includes French fries (you can upgrade the fries if you want a fancier flavor for $$) and a drink for an additional $3.00. The perfectly seasoned chicken sandwich was awesome! Light and crispy outside, moist inside. The coleslaw and not too spicy sauce made the perfect and delicious sandwich. One of the best chicken sandwiches I have had to date!
