"Timmy T's is a FANTASTIC sandwich shop for everyone! Parking spots are in the back (there's not a lot of parking, but it's a place you don't want to miss).FOOD: I ordered the Goodfella and man that hit the spot. Great fresh cut meats and soft bread. Just an awesome flavor and well worth the price. The menu seems well balanced with options for everyone. SERVICE: Very friendly service and smiling faces. What else could you ask for?! It's great.OVERALL: Timmy T's had some locals and tourists. I always trust anywhere that locals are eating at. The food and service are great so don't miss out! I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a quick bite or to sit and enjoy a fresh meal."
"Heard about this sandwich spot on Instagram. We came here to give it a try. Asked the restaurant manager for some recommendations. I decided on the Wagyu Cheesesteak and recommended by the manager side au jus. The sandwich was good with the au jus. It added to the flavor. The au jus was a little salty. Also, a side of fries. The fries were good. The restaurant had a cool vibe. We were able to get a table easily."
"I received a mini bento that consisted of mochiko chicken and meat jun. The mochiko chicken was still a little crispy and was coated in a tasty sauce. The meat jun was terrific. It was thin pieces of beef layered together and coated in egg batter. I really really liked the meat jun. There was also a piece of takuan and rice sprinkled with furikaki. I'm not sure about the prices. It was catered from my job. I've heard that their prices are reasonable."
"I wish I could give this place the 5 stars it deserves. The food is so consistent, and the reason I continue to come back."

Their mushroom burger was delicious and the hubby had the Italiano Cubano which he enjoyed. Everyone around us however was getting the Po Boy so must go back to get it next time.

Glad we didn't order anything more than the sandwich. Not only was it huge, it was so delicious, the bread was soft, the cheesesteak filling was a lot and we couldn't finish it. Some of the meat and mushrooms were spilling over so we needed forks to pick them up. The counter service was fine. They allowed us to take our time to figure out what we wanted. The food was made to order so it came out hot. Has to wait a little bit for it to cool down before I could dig in. We got there about 1pm so not so much of a lunch rush on a Sunday. I enjoyed the tunes they were playing- old school music, which made me enjoy the place more. We got the large sandwich, a bottle of water and a medium fountain drink for about $38. Not bad since we took home about a third of what was left of the sandwich. When we're in the Kāhala area again we're definitely gonna try their other offerings.

There's a tradition in my office for new staff to plan the annual Halloween and Christmas party. COVID put a halt to this tradition the last 2 years, so it was nice for our office to celebrate again. I've already paid my dues by planning these parties when I first joined so I had the luxury of just RSVPing. In the invitation, it was mentioned that the food is being catered by Nippon Bento and Catering (NBC). I don't recall ever trying them, so I was intrigued.Established in 1989, NBC has been serving Japanese bentos in the Dillingham area where you can also order from them online (Door Dash, Grub Hub, or Bite Squad). They have a large assortment to choose from and even have vegetarian ones and can also have brown rice for a surcharge. I was impressed with their website for visuals of their assorted bentos. I took no part in the planning nor coordinating but here's what I experienced. NBC's staff came to deliver the food to our office in the Kaimuki area. Party trays were properly labeled and placed in our conference room. Sauces and salad dressings were also labeled and packaged separately. Impressive. It was time to eat and here's a summary of our luncheon menu:Fried Noodles (3/5)Your standard local-style fried noodles using Sun Noodles (?) yakisoba cooked with shredded carrots, bean sprouts, sliced onions, and large chunks of celery. It was okay - - nothing to write home about. Mochiko Chicken (4/5)Boneless and skinless chicken thigh meat cut into chunks that were marinated and deep fried until golden brown. This was delicious but would have been better if the chicken was piping hot. Chinese Roast Pork (2/5)This dish had potential as the pork belly was marinated and seasoned well but it was a tad bit overcooked. The skin was still crispy, but I found the meat to be too hard to my liking. A few enjoyed this dish but many of us found the meat difficult to chew on. Meat Jun (4/5)Another local favorite that was executed well - the meat was marinated nicely and still tender. It had just enough egg batter to keep the dish together. But I found the accompanying sauce heavy on the soy sauce and somewhat monotone. Could have used a bit more vinegar and/or sesame oil. Misoyaki Butterfish (4/5)I was skeptical of this dish as I understand the high cost to make this. The butterfish was sliced thicker than I had anticipated, and it was prepared nicely. I do understand that food is made ahead of time and to be eaten later but it would have tasted better if the food was hot. Corn (3/5)Your typical commercialized canned corn that has been jazzed up with some butter, salt and pepper. I'm not a fan for corn but some of my colleagues enjoyed it.Choi Sum (5/5)Surprisingly, this was one of my favorite things to eat. Compared to what I'm used to eating at Chinese restaurants, the choy sum was cut unconventionally into small pieces but really enjoyed the seasoning. Seemed like they added some shichimi (?) for a little kick. This was delicious eaten at room temperature.Green Salad (3.5/5)I was happy that a premade green salad mix was not used. I appreciate the salad components of fresh and crisp romaine lettuce, sliced cucumbers, carrots, and celery were used. This was served with an Asian dressing on the side. Not sure if my colleagues are small eaters but we did have quite a bit of leftovers. We had lunch for 2 more days for those staff who wanted to eat. One of my colleagues did an excellent job repurposing the roast pork by adding tomatoes, onions and reheated in an oven. Overall, I was impressed with the food quality as it exceeded my expectations. I will consider using NBC should I need bentos or need to cater food for an event.

I've gotten takeout from here for years and they are my go to k- bbq place in Ewa. I haven't had a bad experience yet. There could be a long wait during dinner time bc they are busy, but it's still worth it. We love all their sides bc it's always very fresh and they give generous portions. Two combo plates feeds a family of 4 with leftovers. Prices have increased, but they do give a lot of food so we still feel like it's worth it.

Following the 15 best Fish & Chips locations on Oahu so decided to take a run up to PCC to checkout Kiwi Style Fish and Chips food truck to if it beats my favorite place. It started off well with three pieces of nicely golden brown beer battered fish and a good portion of chips, unfortunately one of the pieces of fish hadn't been cooked correctly and was still translucent from being undercooked. The service was excellent and friendly with shaded seating areas around the area for eating in comfort, although I did have to swat a large number of flys away while eating. Hopefully my experience with the undercooked fish was just a one off experience, which I will be back to check on soon.

We just had our Roosevelt High School Class of '68 55th Class Reunion Dinner in Honolulu on 10/28 - as the primary organizer, it was my responsibility to make arrangements for our dinner. Living in California added a challenge to this task! I found this company here on Yelp and decided on them based on reviews. And I was NOT DISAPPOINTED!Our group was 80 older individuals local to Hawaii and they all RAVED about the food! It was abundant, nicely presented, and YUMMY! I am an absolute cheerleader for Laverne's! Travis was most accommodating - ordering was easy - delivery was on time and set up for our event - I can't say enough good things!

One of my co-workers told me about this place. We grabbed lunch here one day. It's Lanakila, so they employ special needs adults. It's great that they offer them assistance and employment. They're open Monday-Friday for breakfast from 6:30am-10am and lunch from 10:30am-12:30pm.Their menu isn't huge. They have one or two specials of the day and that's it. You have to check the daily calendar and go on the days that you want. I went on Japanese Day. They served beef curry and shrimp tempura $12.50. The prices and reasonable and they give a decent amount of food for what they charge. The plate that I got was terrific. The beef curry was delicious, but the shrimp tempura was a little soggy. That's ok though, no biggie. It came with a huge scoop of rice and greens. I will check the menu and be back. I love that they have prime rib day and sweet & sour spare rib days.

"I would have give 5 stars but because the waiting time is so long. The food is great but we missed our tour because it was to late.Location: It is located just before the entrance of Polynesian Cultural Center. The food truck is huge with lot of seatings everywhere. Service: there is a short line while ordering but long time to wait. We ordered 1pm thinking that we can get the food in 30 mins but we ended up getting it at 02:05pm. We missed our tour (2pm because of this). They are nice and apologetic but when a couple (caucasian) who has later number than us they prioritize them. Then people (indian and chinese) including us complained to them on why they make the couple food first than us, and we only heard sorry from them.Food: the food was great. We ordered seafood parcel which got everything. The fish and calamari was fresh, it was crispy and huge portions. It is also seasoned well. Well maybe we are just too hungry that we thought it was good, even my nephew said he was very hungry.Price rating: 7/10, amount is okay but with the waiting time, maybe ill just go somewhere else.If there is a chance I come back to their truck, i will still give them second chance, hoping they have faster service specially if mostly of the people eating there are on tours."
"8-6-2020 Since the beginning of the pandemic, we've been pretty cautious about take out. My friend shared they picked up food from here so... this was Our first experience with this food truck parked on the left of Petco by the Malasada wagon at the Waikele Premium Outlets.Checked out the Yelp photos first before ordering. My mixed plate choices were Kalua pig and beef stew. Gotta say it's the best take out beef stew I've tasted. The sauce is good, not sweet, and very tasty. Each beef piece was cooked perfectly. Soft, tender without falling apart stringy- ness. The next time I may order only the beef stew and rice. Why? The macaroni salad had heavy handed mayo, one taste and that was it for me. The Kalua pig looked good and generous but had a slight after taste to me. The stew and rice were excellent, even the one piece of carrot and one piece of potato were yummy, not hard or mushy, just right.Hubs said he'll never order the spareribs again because it was not sweet sour, it was sour. And this is coming from a guy who loves spareribs and pork n general. My dad's nickname was Stew. I'm sure if he could taste this he'd love it too."
"Breakfast in Liliha, Honolulu, Hawaii...When I used my Yelp app to search for a nearby restaurant, "Lanakila Kitchen" appeared. I used to volunteer with Lanakila Meals On Wheels - delivering hot meals to Senior Citizens on Thanksgiving Day with the Jaycees... it seems like the same kitchen sells meals to the community and provides a complimentary lunch from Monday through Friday to Kupuna! Wow!Located on Bachelot Street, the entrance is a bit challenging to find. I asked some construction crew members about the kitchen, and they pointed me in the correct direction... at the beginning of the property. Look for the tables outside!I ordered a Breakfast Plate (comes with a beverage - I selected a small Starbucks coffee and forgot to take a photo) at the counter - it's just $6.65, including tax! I got 2 scoops of brown ice, 4 slices of bacon, and 2 over-easy eggs! What a deal! When I saw the staff bringing out boxes fresh scones, I had to get one! For only $2.25 (tax included), I received two delicious Lilikoi/Peach scones! They were moist and soft!I told the staff that I would bring my mom back for the free lunch (today's special was Curry chicken). The cashier said that he would make an exception for today (since it was my first visit) and gave me a Chicken Curry to take to my mom! Thank you! She enjoyed it!We will be back!Note: this is mainly a takeout place."
"First time doing a really big order for a first birthday and I was very pleased with the how everything turned out. There were some times when I wasn't sure about something because there really wasn't a paper agreement with all the information on it, but it all worked out. I put my full trust and I was very happy with how it all worked out. All my guests complicated how good the food was. We got the baby's 1st birthday. We paid extra for their attendant fee and it was worth it. They set up and broke down after 2hrs. They were so nice and very helpful. I didn't have to stress about the food at all. Even when the strong winds were blowing down the food covers. We found a way to keep it secured. After the next day we just returned the leftover silver pans that kept the food in and that was it. Super simple. I'd definitely order here again for my next event."
"I don't eat buy lunches often at work but when I do, often it's from Noelani's. My favorite is the deep fried catfish. Their hamburger and fishburger is also very good. The guy who runs it, Shunon, is always very friend and I'll bet no one has a complaint about him. The hamburger steak is good if not overcooked (he's so busy I think he doesn't get to the burger in time."
"Nestled in Manoa, you'll find a little Mexican food gem called Serg's. We arrived just before the lunch crowd so there were plenty of parking and plenty of seating. However, you can imagine that it can pretty crowded pretty quick. You order at the window and pick up your food when it's ready. The lady at the window was very friendly and the food came out quickly. I ordered the taco salad and it was delicious. The eating area was open allowing the breeze to blow through. There was Mexican music playing over the speakers adding to the experience. Highly recommended!!!"
