Irene M. "Totes to boast...I've drove pass Wimini Hawaii too many times to count with only curiosity growing each time have finally got a chance to see their shop. This humble biz crafts the cutest whimsical prints all Hawai'i inspired onto shirts, totes, card and prints...as Mr. Mellow I believe is his name with a large mural of him is artfully painted on the wall is either surfing, traveling and doing all things we love here on the islands.Mr. Mellow isn't the only character but the beloved McCully Block, Waikiki and the island of Oahu are all displayed with such awfully grace that I do love. I just wished they had different bag sizes as these that they have are large and are perfect for shopping and carrying various items as the sturdy canvas makes it the strongest possible material yet light and easily folds at our convenience all priced so reasonably.Show this small biz some love as they certainly do that on all of their merchandise, so creative and just love it all.Thank you!"

Lyla D. "NOTE: I hope this review doesn't get merged with the public art business page. This is a separate and NEW business page. The other evening, we walked into the Pow!Wow! Hawaii "Headquarters" looking for the relocation of Amy Wong's street wear and street art store formerly known as "Big Bad Wolf". When we found it, we found this new store named "POW! WOW! Hawai'i General Store" and peered in through the glass door to see Street Artist Jasper Wong working on completing the set up the store. The sign on the door stated it was closed at the time so I waited until daylight to call as the set up looked quite complete. When I called this afternoon to verify if this was the former Big Bad Wolf store and when this store would open to the public, Jasper Wong answered the phone. He confirmed their plan on opening this store on Monday and was nice enough to confirm business hours. I appreciated that he took the time to answer my questions as I expressed my excitement about the addition of this store to this neighborhood.I can't wait to check out this store for street wear apparel and accessories or greeting cards and artwork from fabulous artists who have participate in the public art in Our Kaka'ako."

Maritess C. "My daughter loves this store. She wanted to buy a couple of things here. They have a lot of Japanese anime stuff. I'm not into that but they also had some Hello Kitty, My Melody and stuff I was familiar with. My daughter knows her stuff and got exactly what she wanted for a price. To me, I think this store is pricey but I get it because there are a lot of collectibles here. Some are also locked up in a glass case. There's a guy walking around if you need assistance. The inside was neat and clean. Really organized and things were easy to find. We come here occasionally when my daughter is in the mood to get some cool stuff. It's located inside the mall and they open up at 11 am daily. Highly recommend if you are a fan of Japanese items and other trinkets."

Irene M. "This place is huge!!I'm more accustomed to the Kaka'ako location where the first thing you see are pens as you walk in, here there was the load of calendars soon as you walk in the automatic doors to the air-conditioned area which I didn't expect. There are two young staff working their best to put together a shelf they were polite but am obvious they were just there.Ah though as you enter the main area gosh I was surprise how massive it was...they have patio furniture for sale here lol! Everything and more are found here but it's so huge I wasn't in the mood for the hunt and actually found myself in the lamp section as that for some reason impressed me more than anything. Yes they are pricy though for what they do is something I almost walked away with. One that was on special had a magnifier attached to the head of the lamp making crafting less of struggle to squint, others had USB slot, various light setting and majority took just a few inches of space...love!I actually came here because mom had some items she was searching for and when I was aware of it actually talked her out of it out of not needed it only a just in case wasn't a situation we didn't need. Love this location and will probably frequent it much more once I'm more familiar with the layout. Lots of free parking right out front makes it a deal worth shopping for.Thank you!"

Nadine C. "Shopping at Ohana Hale Marketplace in Honolulu, Hawaii...There are many vendors at this indoor shopping center/food court. Just walk around like us and you'll find something like we did...Jules Y. was squealing with joy when she saw the Hello Kitty recyclable tote bags. They are so cute, lightweight, practical, and foldable! Then, she saw the Brown (bear) purse... **happiness!** However, there's no Cony (white bunny) purse. Awww... so sad! It's kind of challenging to find Line Friends items in Hawaii. When you see something you like, just get it because it will sell out quickly! I kept pondering over the Cony pillow. It opens at the top and small plushies can come out. Hmmm... very kawaii...Charm Culture has more than purses and pillows. The merchandise includes earrings, zippered pouches, bunny key rings of every color, children's shoes, backpacks, and more. When you have time, take a look! There's a lot of good gifts here!Note: there's free parking, air conditioning, and a convenient restroom here!"

AND... there's a white bunny on the name of the shop!!!I HAD to go inside...OMG...So many CUTE things! There's an anime corner - I wasn't familiar with the characters. Even the Instagram-worthy guy... I don't know who he is!When we were making the business page, the friendly, helpful, efficient staff and I weren't able to find categories of "stationary" or "gifts". There is a "flowers and gifts category", but that sounds like a florist which Kawaii Things is not.One fun thing about this shop... when you purchase something, you'll receive a token! Today I was attracted to a string of small red Chinese blinking lanterns that were cleverly displayed at eye level. I thought they'd make a great addition to our HGEA Lunar New Year party so I took a package to the cash register. That caught me by surprise in a nice way, acknowledging my presence. My answer, I'm visiting some shops on the WOW event. She asked where have I been so far...Cool, we were the only ones in the shop so we had time to chit chat before I took a stroll around this shop filled with carefully selected items for sale. Struck a genuine interest in the one time fanatic craft fair goer in me.So many lovely items...I settled on about 7+ tiny items for a special someone whose birthday is next week. As I was being rung up a necklace caught my eye. Thank goodness for the 20% discount off one item- ooh yay, happy me! Hopefully I might wear it in La Jolla soon.Kennedy wrapped the items in tissue for me after using correction tape to white out the prices and placed them in a cute white tote bag.So glad I told hubs( who was waiting in his AC car) that I wanted to venture out and check out a few highlighted shops. I knew that with him in tow I had to be strategic before the his nap time attack appeared.Thankyou Kennedy, Yelp & Jess for setting up this exclusive adventure. So many nice shops, so little time. For the soul shoppers, truly a shop til you drop excellent event."
