"Found this breakfast place on Yelp. First time eating here and the food was ono. We'll be back for sure!!!!"
"11 out of 10. No exaggeration this Surfer's Soufflé French Toast from Hiking Hawaii Cafe in Honolulu is the best I have ever had. Matt and his team full sent it with this one!!! Carb up before you carve out . I am honored to be their test subject for this new menu item and any future ones (They also have healthy stuff like açaí bowls and other breakfast staples)"

"Love love love HiBlend. We were visiting from California and the owner recognized us because we came here two mornings in a row. Açaí bowl and the turkey pesto sandwich (sub with croissant) was the perfect fix we needed to start the day. The açaí had the perfect consistency, creamy, smooth, and thick! Topped with fresh fruit too, you can't go wrong. Small quaint shop but they have outdoor seating which is nice.Highly recommend and have already told so many friends to come check it out when they visit the island."
"Located next to Dipped by Dee's in Aiea. Lots of parking outside of Queen Street Cafe and Grill. I got the shrimp... super yummy! The service was great, as I entered the Aunty took my order and gave suggestions on what to order. I didnt realize a lot of people come here."
"Tiny Pyramid is a hidden treasure tucked away in a textile & interior design center near the waterfront. The corn & crabmeat soup was well balanced with hints of zest & cracked peppers. The bake lobster was a very well executed & delightful appetizer especially when lightly topped with the accompanying sprouts & tomatoes. The Lamb Wellington was the best I've ever had-perfectly braised & juicy with crispy, golden browned puff pastry. Crying Belly was a mouth watering braised pork belly simmered in flavorful but light Asian sauce. Braised duck was perfectly done & moist. Outstanding French & Japanese style desserts, featuring their signature Chocolate Mousse Pyramid! Servers are helpful & pleasant. Excellent French-Asian fusion cuisine at reasonable prices!"
"When any of my family visit from the mainland they ALL want to hit this friendly joint for brunch a couple of times. What's not to love? Delicious food, daily specials, good drip coffee, superior service, a pleasant island atmosphere, and AMPLE PARKING right in Haleiwa. If they have anything "benedict" when you visit, try it, their hollendaise sauce is on point. Ditto anything with green sauce like their huevos rancheros."
"Breakfast in Kapahulu, Honolulu, Hawaii...Many people drive past Kaimana Farm Cafe, but have they ever dined there?Maybe the parking is an obstacle...Just go down the street and find the free parking lot by Waiola Shave Ice on Mokihana Street! This farm-to-table restaurant has a comfortable, casual, country feel with an Asian flair.Service was very pleasant and polite. We had a wonderful experience!I got the Hamburg plate which comes with 5 sides. I picked yuzu carrots, beets + orange, kale salad, rainbow hajiji, and Molokai sweet potato. Everything was tasty and creative! We also got an iced matcha Latte... it was refreshing and not too bitter! It felt healthy and looked picture-worthy!I'd go back again!Note: restroom is outside... ask for the key!"
"We were looking for a place to sit and hang out for a bit and needed some table space to take care of some work. We decided on Morning Brew as I wanted to try something new. We walked in and was greeted by a bright and lively coffee shop bustling with people. There are two levels with a number of tables available and more seating upstairs. They had really delicious looking line-up of fresh baked goods and a fairly wide and varied menu of beverages and food. From sandwiches and toasts, to bowls and sweet treats, they have a great selection of breakfast and brunch items. As for their coffee, it's all locally roasted and also had a pretty wide selection. From single brew pour overs to beverage specials like a cold brew float, there's something for everyone. As for me, I went with an iced German mocha which apparently combines espresso, chocolate, and other flavors to create a taste similar to German chocolate cake. It was perfect and I enjoyed sipping on it while hanging out in the shop. All in all, Morning Brew is cute and modern and makes for a great space to hangout and catch up with friends. I think it would also be a good spot for breakfast/brunch.It can get a little loud inside with all the patrons and felt pretty warm inside, but it did the job and would recommend a stop here."
"I LOVE sandwiches! This banh mi spot opens early in the morning. Located at the 808 Center on the 3rd floor. There's a few seating inside and outside. We decided on takeout since there's minimal parking. We did a phone order for the Saigon special (variety of meat) and a lemongrass chicken. It was about $11.50 for each sandwich. They make it fresh when ordered. The bread was toasted and was crispy. The meat and vegetables had a balance amount portion. The sandwich was delicious!"

It's not often I drive to Waianae but it is a very scenic drive there on clear days. We were fortunate it was a clear day when we journeyed there to finally try Countryside Cafe. When we arrived, the place was pretty busy but we were able to be seated right away. They have a private parking lot and offer indoor or outdoor seating options. Due to how the restaurant is situated, you can't really see the ocean while dining but it's located across the beautiful blue Pacific Ocean. We opted to sit inside as it was cooler with the AC. Menus came first and the staff member asked if we wanted anything aside from water to drink. We ordered coffee and it took a few minutes but we got a hot cup of coffee. The coffee was watered down which was a huge disappointment. When our server finally came to take our order, we ordered the Countryside Steak and Walk through the Country. I had my Countryside Steak with potatoes and eggs over easy. It took the kitchen about 20 or so minutes to get our order out. Kinda long considering all the tables had their food orders already. Despite all that, the food was quite good! It came out as ordered. Definitely worth the journey for a nice breakfast and scenic drive. Portions were just right and the country fried steak hit a craving I've had for months. After eating, we sat there for a while waiting for the check but I suppose you walk up to the register to pay. Customer service was almost nonexistent and we had to ask for a coffee refill. The larger parties around us received more attention so that was a little disappointing. It was still nice to finally cross off this bookmark on my list.

Had the fried egg sandwich and açaí bowl to go. Came here for the açaí bowl and agree with others it's probably one of the best in town. Açaí is not too sweet and not watery. Very well done. The fried egg sandwich is served in a croissant and was rich with flavor.Recommended.

We haven't been here for years! We ordered the UH special plate and shared it because it was a lot of food! Everything was ONOLICIOUS, the ahi fish katsu with tartar sauce, luncheon meat was sliced thick, furikake garlic chicken was juicy and soft and the kiawe steak was cooked to perfection medium rare with kim chee fried rice. The wait was about 25-30 minutes as posted which we didn't mind. There were already a couple of customers waiting and then some after us. We'll be back again to try out the rest of the menu and get some sweet goodies. Mahalo Queen's Cafe!

We had our annual Christmas dinner on a Saturday evening. I've never been here before. The staffs and owner were truly amazing with service. When you walk in you'll greeted by all these wonderful, mouth watering desserts. The choice and selection was to die for. So many to choice from so I choice 4. The ambiance inside was so cute. Their salad was so fresh. Whatever dressing they use was so good. The attention to details was really on point. The baked salmon was delicious. Normally I don't like mashed potatoes with gravy. But their mashed potatoes was so moist. Every bite make you want more. The portion were perfect .

Cute little cafe in the north shore. Abundance of seating inside and outside. Staff were respectful and nice. Typical breakfast food you'd get at any diner but it was made good. Parking in the back of the cafe. Not too expensive for breakfast.

Definitely very fresh. For the big plate you get to choose one main, 5 sides and a choice of rice, brown rice, salad or half rice half salad. I decided to choose the 6pc garlic shrimp with yuzu carrots, Brussels, kale salad, lotus root and Molokai sweet potato. I also chose half rice half salad. My favorites were the kale salad, lotus root, and Brussels. The yuzu carrots were a bit too sweet although very different and pretty good. The Molokai sweet potato isn't as sweet as Okinawan sweet potato. The half salad had an odd dressing. The garlic shrimp was a bit disappointing. They used heaps of jarred minced garlic which I personally do not like at all. All the plates range from $20-$23 I believe. The garlic shrimp plate was not worth it since fresh garlic wasn't used. You would think a farm to table cafe would use fresh garlic. The hamburger steak was pretty good they added shredded carrots and was definitely different than most places. Another side that was really good was the curry potato salad. The service was nice and friendly. The cafe was nice and had a "farm cafe" vibe. It did take quite awhile as a group of tourists ordered while we were still deciding. Was only one Japanese guy cooking in the back and a girl working the register and helping when she could. They have 12 sides and of all the sides I tried I would recommend the Brussels, curry potato salad, lotus root and kale salad.

Located in Salt along the side. Parking available: first hour free. The cafe has seating outside and inside with a second floor. When it gets busy, seating are limited. Order first and then get seated. Great place for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and snack. I ordered the breakfast burrito and agave lemonade (total around $18). My friend had the chia pudding and lox of bagels that I also got to try. Food was freshly made. Food was pretty lite and delicious. It was a healthy brunch. It's a nice to hang out with friends or work/study.

"La Tour in Kapolei is something I didn't expect (in a great way!). I'm familiar with La Tour on Nimitz, but I wasn't a big fan of it. However, looking at the ambiance and observing the workers, I had a better experience. The cafe had indoor and outdoor seating. Macaroons and other pasteries on display and bread/lavosh on sale next to the register. They had the special drinks posted above the bread and on the counter. I like to ask the staff what their recommendations are since they probably tasted the product. I also let them know my preference as well. I appreciate their honesty.I ordered the chicken pesto panini. The panini filling wasn't as much as I thought it would be, but it was still tasty. I also wanted to try the eggplant parmesan panini. I thought out loud with my friends and wondered if they could make half chicken pesto and half eggplant parmesan. Something to think about for the future :)"
"This place tucked in the middle of Koze Sushi and another restraunt is a small place. Seats about 20 people. The price is ok I guess because it's raw fish. good quality fish! The only thing that probably was not to my husbands liking was the shabu shabu meat It was really shredded mostly fat too! I thought my poke bowl with additional avocados was tasty. If you're on a lunch break. Know that this place is in no rush. You will not be in and out in 30 min. More like 45-1 hour. Parking is plentiful too or bottom. It says 1 hour parking but it's not monitored. There's a desert place across of fresh bites. It's literally 10 steps across. I would come again and maybe try the poke wrap (burrito)."
"Tried this place just down the street from Breusters Ice cream which I have been too. I asked for a sample of the Key Lime Pie. Over the top delicious!I added coconut to a medium sized bowl. Worth every cent of the 8.00 I spent. The wait staff was friendly and courteous and I was served promptly despite the family of five waiting on their gelatos!"
"This is a review of their banquet hall.Just hosted a surprise retirement party for my Mom here.I've dined here throughout the years and the food speaks for itself. Time tested family recipes keep everyone coming back. This isn't some hidden gem but a family dynasty and a local favorite for generations here in Hawaii. This was my first time however hosting an event here. The level of customer service was just as excellent as their food. From beginning to end, all of my questions were answered and the event manager Anna was super helpful. In terms of affordability? They can't be beat. We booked a Sunday luncheon for our event and it was a minimum of 100 guests. I was extremely happy with the value we got with the delicious famous Ige's food and service we received. Also, beverages like water/juice and coffee were included. They also allowed us to bring outside pupus with NO additional charge. They did however require us to provide the paper plates and cutlery for the pupus, which we had no problem with. The staff made set up so easy. Tables were all covered and all we had to do was set up our decorations. Break down was just the same, with us only having to take down our decorations. In fact, we naturally were throwing away our own trash by habit but the staff were so kind enough to let us know that they will gladly do that for us. So so happy with the experience we had with Masa's Cafeteria. The place and food brought back so many happy memories for our guests of all ages. Everyone felt at home and felt so cozy. If you're looking for a laid back venue to host a party with genuine friendly customer service and legendary tasty food, please give this place a try."
"Everyone has a pic of their tonkatsu. That's probably because it is sooooo good. And that pink sauce....what is in that pink sauce that makes it so good. It is nothing I have ever tasted before. It really compliments the tonkatsu well. I have tried a few other of their items but this is the thing always keeps me coming back for more. I love the name of this place. It is a play on words - Oishii (Japanese for delicious) so they called it OEC. Cracks me up every time. The lady in the front is so nice all the time....so Japanese style. One tip is that if you follow them on Facebook you can find out their daily specials menu."
"Food and vibe was good. We got the loaded fries, panini of the day of some drinks. It's a shack by the water so you're enjoying food and enjoy the view. Would come back again."
"Very friendly workers! Fast wait times! Great prices and a fairly large menu. There's bagels, panini's, croissants, salads, parfaits, coffees, and etc.. there's plenty seating and booths!"
"LOCAL must go!A coworker introduced me to this place and with my second time going its never a disappointment! Previously I had a burger and fries, so fresh and so tasty. This time I ordered the dessert and I have to say, AMAZING!Their food is sourced from local farms and on island and they also offer fresh eggs, meat and fruits (when available of course), depending on the season. They had Kalo, lau lau leaves, guava and sweet potato when I went. Fresh duck eggs and ground beef also. They don't take phone orders nor online ordering as they are a small place. But if you are in the neighborhood please check them out. You won't be disappointed."
"I actually came across Stage Café by accident. My mom and I were attempting to go to Stage Restaurant for lunch on a Saturday, only to discover that the lunch menu was not available that day. Apparently on weekends, they feature a tea menu instead of the regular lunch menu that's available during the week.I was disappointed, but we visited the Café (located on the first floor) before we left the building. But, I'm so glad we made a detour. If not, I wouldn't have discovered one of the best chocolate chip cookies that I've ever tasted in my life. Stage Café offers paninis, salads and delicious-looking bakery items, as well as juices and coffees. My mom and I just went to see what was available--and if we wanted anything from there for lunch instead--but at that point, only the bakery items were calling my name. I couldn't believe that those decently sized "Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies" were only $1.50. What a deal!Since then, my mom and I have been to the Café twice. We don't necessarily go out of our way to visit, but when we did revisit Stage Restaurant--and had a successful lunch--we stopped by the Café on our way out. I'm completely hooked on their baked goods. While I've never actually gotten a meal from the Café, I would come by just for some coffee and to enjoy some of their sweet treats. Here are some of the items I crave from the Café, as well as some that I want to try in the future: "Chocolate Chip Scone": I don't mind it when scones are slightly dry, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that this scone was moist and chockfull of chocolate chips. I enjoyed every single buttery bite of this scone, which I had for breakfast the day after I got it from the Café. I don't often find plain chocolate chip scones, and I would order one of these again in a heartbeat. "Peanut Butter Chocolate Macadamia Nut Brownie": I love all things peanut butter and chocolate, so naturally, I wanted to try this brownie when I saw it. The peanut butter flavor isn't as predominant as the chocolate brownie, but I could see the thin layer of peanut butter toward the bottom of the brownie. I like my brownies to be dense, moist and fudgy; this one probably wasn't as rich and fudgy as I would have preferred, but I still found it delicious. There were chunks of macadamia nuts throughout, which added welcomed texture and crunch to the brownie. I would gladly order this sweet treat again, but I preferred the "Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookie" to the brownie. "Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookie": This is now one of my favorite cookies ... and I've tried a LOT of cookies in my lifetime. I like this cookie because it's soft, chewy, tender and contains five huge chunks of chocolate chips. That may not seem like much on paper, but when you look at the cookie--chocolate chip in proportion to the entire cookie--you know that they didn't skimp on the chocolate chips. The oatmeal flavor is present but not overwhelming, but the grainy texture is there. I don't often eat oatmeal in cereal form, but I absolutely loved it in this cookie form. Because this cookie was moist, flavorful and had a good balance between the chocolate and oatmeal, it makes the list of one of my top cookies. "Caramel Maple Brownie": I haven't seen this brownie in the display case yet--only on the Stage Café online menu--but if it's available, I would love to try it. I do like caramel and maple flavors, but I don't think I've experienced them together. I'm sure the brownie provides a great combo of salty-sweet flavors, but I'm curious to see what this brownie tastes like. "Italian Margherite": This panini features house-made macadamia nut pesto, mozzarella cheese and hamakua springs tomatoes. I would probably opt for the sando sans the tomatoes, but everything else sounds divine. Plus, with all the paninis, you get your choice of bread - dark pumpernickel, sourdough or whole multigrain wheat bread. I love pumpernickel and I don't see it featured often when it comes to sandwich options, so I can't wait to get it. "Maximus": This may seem like a traditional Caesar salad, but I actually really enjoy the refreshing taste of Caesars. This one features baby hirabara romaine, grape tomatoes, parmesan cheese, house-made croutons and Caesar dressing. Again, I would probably order this salad sans tomatoes, but to me, it's always a win when a place features home-made croutons ... which are the best part of ANY salad!"Café Triple Chocolate Mocha": Although I haven't had a chance to try them yet, the espresso drinks at this café caught my eye. I especially was looking at the "Café Triple Chocolate Mocha" because mochas are my go-to when it comes to blended coffee drinks, namely because they include chocolate. Since this one is a "Triple Chocolate" drink, I'm curious to try it one day and see how chocolaty it really is."
"Prince Kuhio Café is a hidden gem in Downtown Honolulu. They're located on the 5th floor of the Prince Kuhio Federal Building (same building that the Social Security office is in). The café is basically an upscale cafeteria with a ton of options including warm pre-made entrees, a salad bar and a grill that offers burgers, fries, etc. The even offer smoothies, bubble drinks and ice cream. The setbacks are the parking (no public parking unless you park elsewhere on the street or in another structure), and going through security. If you have a few extra minutes to empty your pockets and go through the metal detector, the trip to the café is worth it and will save you a few bucks. On the plus side, prices are pretty reasonable for most items. For breakfast one morning, I ordered eggs, toast and a pancake and swear I paid less than 5 bucks for it. How does the food fair? Not bad for cafeteria food but keep in mind, it IS cafeteria food. The bubble drink I tried came with overcooked tapioca balls, the garlic ahi I once ordered was overcooked and dry but the chicken salad sandwich I usually order makes for a nice lunch. Can't forget to mention the seating, amenities and ambiance. Seating is plentiful with both indoor and outdoor tables and chairs. Outdoor seating is on a balcony that overlooks Kaka`ako. Indoors you can watch some TV with your meal. Around the cashier area, many condiments, utensils and even foil and paper bags are available. Food-wise, PKC is worth 3 stars. Selection and price-wise, PKC is worth 4 stars. You can sign up for email updates with their weekly specials. No spam mail included!"
"It's like walking into a candy store.. except all the candy is replaced with COFFEE FLAVORS Stumbled upon this gem as we made a pit stop in Wahiawā. We're from Hawaii Kai side so we rarely come thru this area. Glad we did cause our minds were blown! Super quaint, fun, and cozy coffee shop! We were amazed by the amount of different flavors and baked goods this place had to offer. I loved how they had a cute little area where kids could play and watch TV. Not only were there many flavors, but the type of flavors you don't see much around anywhere! It was so fun to be able to concoct our own lattes. I felt like a coffee wizard or something hehe. The barista was so sweet and knowledgeable! She was exceptionally patient with us as we sifted through like 40 different flavor options. We opted for the recommended coconut and Mac nut latte and I mixed toasted marshmallow and tiramisu. PRO TIP: GET BOTH LOL. They were soo delicious and not overly sweet. I might add another shot next time but it was nice getting to taste the flavor this first time. I also got a yogurt cream danish and the kind person offered to toast/warm it up for me! Idk about you, but I really appreciate these fine details and consideration-- it really made this experience so memorable! And the danish was UGH SO DELICIOUS. Soft, flaky, tasty and not overly sweet. What struck us the most was how affordable the lattes were. I got mines with soy milk and I'm sure it was about $4 something. We were shocked, cause you can rack up costs at any Starbucks. Definitely got the bang for our buck! (Whoops just realized I forgot to snap a pic of our 16 oz lattes lol) This place was very homey and had good vibes. Would try to come more often, cause I sure love to support Local! I'm already awaiting my next visit-- THIN MINT GIRL SCOUT LATTE, IM COMING FOR YOU! If you're in the area or not in the area-- you really need to come through to Kemoo Cafe!"
"Their Macarons are the best on island. No one else comes close. They have so many different flavors and the texture is very delicate with plenty of cream filling. Amazing!!"
