Irene M. "Happy National French Fries Day!Celebrating this with just one other bestie who's pretty selective with her spuds...stealth is her fave she says as I do as well though some steak ones are the chunks of love! Well we chose Honolulu Burger Co because of their selection that really got us contemplating so we each got one to see the loaded levels they have.Their fries are the thin "stealth" type of cut and thought they do have the sweet potato as well the flavorful load of choices here are just crisp!- Garlic- Truffle- Garlic Parm- Chili Cheese- Blue Cheese- Loaded- PoutineShe chose Blue Cheese so I chose Loaded and we were just excited! As we wait for our order I did notice that there wasn't any air condioner though I did notice a unit above it wasn't on for some reason making it hot to dine in so we decided to move towards the door as the breeze from outside was actually cool enough to keep us cool. Other than that the vibe here is nice like an urban distressed look with a cute mural wall pointing out the various fresh local ingredients including the spot that "you are here" is a fun conversation piece. The staff is very cool and friendly as we adviser her of this special day she had no idea lol!! Fry day on Thursday was a fun day!Thank you!"

"Smashing it...Nothing like a good burger and here in Chinatown...Nuuanu Ave to be exact is where you can find basically the only thing that they do burgers in a spot that works with just a few seating...mine I do like to sit behind the plexiglass watching the magic happen. It's basically single, double or beyond veggie with a side of fries and/or a drink the build is simple with American cheese, onions and boss sauce which reminds me of a thousand island dressing isn't my favorite in fact it's a great burger but I need more toppings like some veggies as I don't like pickles so I ended up scraping it off but their crinkle cut fries was yummy nothing fancy as the star was the burger was nice as it was freshly made to order.Dining in your burger is presented in a basket which is nice and easy to consume and for take outs is wrapped up and placed in a it's own pouch is a genius system of simplistic and eco friendly without crushing it and an easy pic to capture without disturbing it's beauty.Ordering is easy and the staff does double duty at times but at this busy place the vibe is always so lively and fun.Thank you!"

There were only 5 pieces of pork and maybe 7 pieces of chicken. Very overpriced. Pork was still good but 2 of the pieces were burnt not just a little but the kind that's inedible. The entire box was filled with rice that came out of a cooler and it was hard. Won't be coming back again. I'll try the original location next time again."

Food I would say an average burger, but still tasty. Made to the perfect doneness. The fries are decent. If you are looking for for a quick filling burger without all the razzle dazzle. Sean L. "One of my favorite burgers on the island. At a good price point too! This is a small food truck, decent parking with 7 tables or so. Expect a wait since its a small place. I got my order to go, crazy fries and their normal burger with an egg added (over medium). They also gave me plastic gloves as they said it would be messy. The service was pleasant. The hamburger: (4.5/5): nice sear and crunch on the outside, meat was good quality and the burger had a great meat to bun ratio. The secret sauce is sweet, honey mustard/ketchup blend as a base. The bun was of decent quality and the egg was cooked almost perfectly. I was pleasantly surprised that the cheese was fully melted too. My one suggestion is I wish they added more sautéed onions to the burger, i would have enjoyed a more prominent onion flavor.Crazy fries (3/5): fries were well salted, average fries. Since i got my order to go im sure that affected the quality and would be better if eaten immediately. The sauce was good but it was quite sweet which was overwhelming for the fry itself. They have a crazy fries with bacon option, im sure the saltiness from the bacon compliments the sweetness of the sauce better than the non bacon version. I plan on trying that next time i go and would recommend the same to others."

I saw that there were only four people near the order counter so I drove into the lot.I recall seeing the restaurant closed a few months ago while they were re-paving the parking lot. There are a dozen parking spaces plus one ADA stall. I was taken aback because 8 of the 13 parking stalls were occupied. Why were so many parking stalls occupied if only 4 people were near the order counter and one of them was a child? Ah, I didn't see the 5 people eating at the six plastic tables on the right. When I went up to the order window on the left, a woman stuck her head out from the right window and asked what I wanted. Wow, quick service compared to last time. She took my order yet still, it took about 12 minutes for me to get my food. To be fair the seafood bento I ordered had a lot of different items which were cooked from scratch since they were all still warm when I got home and ate. So 12 minutes may be warranted. The food is always good but now that they have modified the ordering process, St. Louis Drive Inn has earned my respect."

Michelle R. "I've had Teddy's Bigger Burgers in the past, but this was my first time at the Kailua location. There are quite a few locations including in Aiea, Hawaii Kai, Haleiwa, Kaneohe, Waikiki, and University. You can also order online through their website, https://www.teddysbb.com/ and they also have a mobile rewards app. The restaurant was founded in 1998. Here's their origin story, "Teddy's Bigger Burgers got its start in the backyard cookouts of owners Ted & Rich. The two loved good burgers but couldn't understand why there weren't any fast food restaurants that offered the quality of their home cooked burgers in a quick service environment."My friend and her husband were visiting from Portland, Oregon. After a few hours at Kailua Beach, we decided to stop here for lunch. Teddy's is in a little strip mall area attached to a parking lot. There's seating inside the restaurant and outside in front of the restaurant under umbrellas. I like the decoration inside! A very bright color scheme (red, blue, yellow), vintage, and reminiscent of diners from the 50s. To match their no fuss menu of burgers, fries and shakes. Staff greeted us when we entered. The inside was clean and we'll maintained. Workers were preparing food diligently. I got the Double Burger, medium. It's two of the 1/3lb 100% ground chuck steer proprietary grind patties with gourmet burger seasoning. On a potato bun, with green leaf lettuce, laussen dill pickles, thinly shaven white sweet onion, ripe tomatoes, homemade special sauce, homemade Teri sauce, and capped with another potato bun. It's flame broiled with beautiful charred lines across the patty. Absolute delicious, juicy, and flavorful! I ate this like a steak XD with a fork a knife. I wanted to avoid the mess, for it's a tall burger.I also got the Bacon & Cheese Fries. These fries have the crispy skin still on. They're smothered with a creamy nacho cheese sauce and topped with bacon. Very tasty, hot and the toppings were plentiful! The bacon and cheese make a good match. This was a big portion of fries, so I shared them with my friend and her husband. There was still a lot left over, so I ended up taking the rest home. I don't like to be wasteful! I also got the Hand Scooped Shakes in the Mini size and the Haupia flavor. It was super rich and creamy. The haupia flavor was just right. Not too overwhelming, not too sweet. Recommended! I also got a spoon to eat the ice cream part before it melted. They have quite a few flavors for these shakes including vanilla, chocolate, peanut butter, Kona coffee, chocolate peanut butter, strawberry. Nutella, orange dreamsicle, pineapple and root beer.Overall it was an awesome meal. Highly recommended! (:"

Both were so yummy! Burger was cooked perfectly with some pink (but if you like yours well done, let them know). Birdie H. "Food was really really yummy here tonight! Omg IM SUPER GLAD I CAME HERE! We didn't know where to go and low and behold, YELP directed us to this place. First of all the ambience is really really really nice and welcoming. I then sat down at the table and I love how their chairs have a pillow. You can use it to sit against your back. We then got served water and the cups are super cute! It has this little picture of, I don't know what it is, but it was really cute! OH! And the fork! That had a design of a happy face across the prongs. It was funny because I didn't want to eat with my fork and then ruin the design on the fork or even damage it. But I need to use that fork to feed my face. LOL I ordered cold ginger, chicken, and a bowl of shrimp curry. The lady told me to do a combo instead so I did and I ended up having my cold ginger chicken with my shrimp curry and let me tell you that sucker is a winner! The shrimp had really good flavor. I think I had five pieces of shrimp and there is a huge piece of potato and a huge piece of carrot and OH MAN... that's how I actually love my stews and my curry is with large pieces of vegetables but it has to be super soft to wear if I poked my fork in it it actually slips right through the whole entire thing and that's what happened! That is why I'm very very pleased with my dinner tonight. Except for the ginger chicken sauce. That was a bit sour & smelt bad. I left on the side. My husband he had the garlic chicken and that was like really delicious served HOT! However, when he was eating his garlic chicken and it started to cool down, he said he could taste most of the saucy flavor which was really strong and overpowering. So I think if you're gonna order garlic chicken, you have to make sure that you eat it fast enough to where the food is still hot or take it home and then reheat it in the microwave. He also had a side order of large fries. And these fries are those fat fries and they cook it really good. They actually had it really crunchy and very crispy but yet still was soft so that's the best kind of fries when it's crunchy but yet soft on the inside. The only really disappointing thing for me was... They don't have Coke products! That's my only biggest issue. The fact that they don't sell Coca-Cola and I really need a Coke so bad. Hopefully they change to Coke cause everybody's switching from Pepsi to Coke now so , Coca-Cola is good guys! Finally, at the end of the night I just took some random pictures around the restaurant to show their place and how it looks. It's very cozy, but they did have a table set in the middle for big group and then tables and benches and chairs around the sides of the wall, which looks like it could fit about maybe 30 to 40 peoplE. They were having so much customers come in and ordering takeout. They were super busy! Obviously, this place is a really good place to eat at. A lot of people like it a lot and I can't say anything bad really just that they don't serve Coke. And I mean Coke as in the Coca-Cola product guys. They have so much choices it's WONDERFUL! They also have a menu outside the restaurant so people can view it as they walk past. They also have a little corner inside their restaurant where it's a waiting area for those who order to go. It's set up really nice and cute! I think my kids would love it if they had to wait for their order over there. My 3 year old baby would just sit and observe the decor.Oh! they do give you a 3% discount if you pay in cash. And then they have this card thing that if you spend $10 or more in cash you get a stamp and then I guess if you fill up a card, you can get a free gift or a prize or something. I totally forgot to ask for one of those stamp cards so I missed out on three stamps tonight. Yeah I know I wanted to go back in to ask for the card because it was a guy who cashed me out. And that guys name is FEI. I ended up asking him to take a photo for my yelp review and he was so nice he did it, but I think he forgot to give me the card because I probably distracted him. But NEXT TIME!Anyways, hope this review helps and hope you enjoyed my review. Okie dokes folks! Have a good one. Be safe! MALAMA PONO A HUI HOU...Birdie"

There was a nice soft slow heat from the bbq sauce, and the slaw was sweet but not overpowering. Glancing at the on-line menu, it was hard to decide as everything sounds great and Fatboys had an extensive menu. My co-worker's favorite is the pork chop, which sounds good but I already had the same thing the night before. I opt for the 2 item combo ($18.) Chicken cutlet and shrimp, got rice and tots as my sides. Not healthy choices, so good but so bad for you! There's different types of burgers, chicken sandwiches, and plate lunch. Prices range from $10-$20 depending on what you get.We tried the bad ass burger and bad ass fries. The burger was delicious! It was honestly a good burger. I would have never thought it was vegan. The sautéed onions is a good touch. The burger bun was so soft and tasty compared to a traditional sesame bun. I appreciate that it comes with the fixings of lettuce and tomato as well. Crazy to say, this was probably the best burger I had in a while. The fries were crinkled cut and crispy but they were just fries. They do offer specialty fries which I would love to try. Portions are a good serving. They don't skimp!
