"Found this breakfast place on Yelp. First time eating here and the food was ono. We'll be back for sure!!!!"
"11 out of 10. No exaggeration this Surfer's Soufflé French Toast from Hiking Hawaii Cafe in Honolulu is the best I have ever had. Matt and his team full sent it with this one!!! Carb up before you carve out . I am honored to be their test subject for this new menu item and any future ones (They also have healthy stuff like açaí bowls and other breakfast staples)"

"Food: Mmmm mmmm good!!! I'm definitely hitting Moke's when I'm back in Hawaii! The popular pancakes you see online were just amazing, the sauce was delicious! Service: Excellent! They always made sure we had coffee in our mugs! Everyone was extremely friendly! The whole family loved their food! Ambiance: was chill, and cozy!"
"We've enjoyed Tango for years now; they've been a fixture on the Honolulu dining scene, and even after the original chef retired, they've kept their standards and quality just as high as before. They offer monthly prixe fix menus and happy hour specials. They also have a great brunch menu. We were lucky enough to catch this option on New Year's Eve. Ms. K had the lobster benedict ($29), which was simply amazing - a generous portion of lobster on toast with a large serving of potatoes on the side. She said it was probably the best lobster benedict she's ever had.I opted for the Braised Beef Loco Moco hearty chunks of braised shortribs over fried rice, topped with tasty brown gravy and two eggs any style. This was also excellent, although not quite as good as the lobster bene."
"I'm so glad I found this place. Located in Manoa, it's a great little spot for your morning caffeine and breakfast. There's some parking in the lot or some street parking out front. There was a decent line of maybe 10 ppl ahead of me but it moved fairly quickly and all the staff were great. There is a small corner counter with 4 stools but the rest of the seating is outside under their enclosed patio or the tables in the front parking lot. I snagged a counter spot inside after I placed my order. I didn't mind the long line because it gave me an opportunity to consider all the amazing food and drink options. I landed on a hot matcha latte with macadamia nut milk and Manoa honey. A beautiful cup of sweet and nutty goodness to start my day. I also got the strata (a really savory bread pudding with bacon, roasted shallots, garlic and aged cheddar). I should preface by saying I'm usually not a big fan of bread pudding, but if all bread puddings tasted like this, I would get it every time! It was divinely delicious. I also took a lilikoi honey butter biscuit to go. I usually like to add butter or honey to my biscuits so this biscuit was made for me! And who doesn't like passionfruit?"
"Tried this place because we love breakfast burritos and we were happy with it! Got the Local breakfast bomber and it was delicious. The service was really friendly! The spot itself is a grab-n-go but there's seating in the shared plaza it's located in."
"After our excursion to Kailua, we were on the hunt for lunch. Per Li Y's suggestion, we came to Uahi Island Grill! It was a great option to kick back, eat, and talk story. The restaurant embodies a local spot with a spacious inside area, beach decor, and a relaxed vibe to it. There's also outdoor seating. Plenty of seating for both spots for all party sizes. Service was slammed but we were helped throughout our meal and our food came out fast.We shared Furikake Calamari as our appetizer which came with a sweet spicy sriracha sauce. It was good but I couldn't taste any furikake which I was excited about. To order, I had the Kalua Pork and Kale while she got the Orange Duck Confit. The portions were quite large and I had half of mine. The kalua pig was super tender and juicy. The kale was great and honestly tops the typical cabbage. My only wish was that there was more kale! You could choose two sides, I went with White Rice and Mac Salad. I'd pass on the mac salad as it was too creamy while the white rice was just too much. There are plenty of eateries in Kailua but if you're looking for a laid-back spot for any meal, Uahi Island Grill is a good option. They're situated off Aulike Street with parking in the neighborhood, we parked in the public lot across the street."
"The best food truck on Oahu. Must visit place if you travel to Hawaii. Menu is simple. They provided breakfast and lunch. I tried their signature boneless Kalbi before and it tasted delicious. Currently my favorite is their Furikake Crusted Salmon. OMG! It's freaking good. The salmon was very moist and flavorful. My parents always order their Peeled Garlic Butter Shrimp. They said it tastes better than Giovannis. In addition, DO NOT miss their pan-fried poke. It's exceptionally delicious.Very friendly staffs and fast service. There're 3 tables for people to sit down and enjoy the food. I heard they just bought the food truck from JOJA and renovated it. Overall- DO NOT miss this food truck in North Shore."
"Everything that sell at Local Joe are extremely good quality! Coffee and breakfast are tasty... Highly recommended..."
"We love this place! Customer service is top notch, food is delicious and fresh and the ambiance and views are unbeatable. We love the buffet. Great for kids, just ask for an outside table. Definitely recommend!"
"For kanaka, a simple and ono option. What moved me and my Ohana, was one of the family Wahine, took the time to listen to an patron. She had been very mindful of the rest of the floor, but there was a moment where I noticed she was showing malama to a man that came by himself and in his elder years. It might seem minor to some but for our kanaka and our culture to still thrive and express in the "capitalist" mentality we are in. It was such a good feeling. Mahalo. Mahalo. Mahalo!!!"
"I went to the Waimalu Plaza location. It was a holiday so it wasn't too crowded. As the time became closer to the brunch hour the line became longer. There were four people in our party, celebrating a friend's birthday. Three people ordered the Loco Moco and the last ordered an ordinary breakfast, scrambled eggs with Spam. Then to "family style" they ordered the Pancake & Waffle set AND the Apple Caramel Pancakes. They were all so delicious. Every time I've had breakfast. I have not been disappointed."

It's not often I drive to Waianae but it is a very scenic drive there on clear days. We were fortunate it was a clear day when we journeyed there to finally try Countryside Cafe. When we arrived, the place was pretty busy but we were able to be seated right away. They have a private parking lot and offer indoor or outdoor seating options. Due to how the restaurant is situated, you can't really see the ocean while dining but it's located across the beautiful blue Pacific Ocean. We opted to sit inside as it was cooler with the AC. Menus came first and the staff member asked if we wanted anything aside from water to drink. We ordered coffee and it took a few minutes but we got a hot cup of coffee. The coffee was watered down which was a huge disappointment. When our server finally came to take our order, we ordered the Countryside Steak and Walk through the Country. I had my Countryside Steak with potatoes and eggs over easy. It took the kitchen about 20 or so minutes to get our order out. Kinda long considering all the tables had their food orders already. Despite all that, the food was quite good! It came out as ordered. Definitely worth the journey for a nice breakfast and scenic drive. Portions were just right and the country fried steak hit a craving I've had for months. After eating, we sat there for a while waiting for the check but I suppose you walk up to the register to pay. Customer service was almost nonexistent and we had to ask for a coffee refill. The larger parties around us received more attention so that was a little disappointing. It was still nice to finally cross off this bookmark on my list.

This is a cut little local cafe with aloha friendly staff. Sounds of laughter greeted me as I walked up the tall steps to the cafe. There is a patio outside and indoor dining room as well. Seating is limited so expect a wait during peak hours. I sat on the patio to enjoy the morning breeze. Chef Moke Warren started this small chain of local restaurants in 2004. Warren studied culinary arts locally at KCC. The cafe on 11th Street opened in 2018. The menu offers a mix of Hawaiian local favorites for breakfast. I ordered a Loco Moco. The portions are large. The gravy and eggs were so good and creamy. The beef patty is large atop all that wonderful rice. I couldn't finish it all! So good. Service was good. Water came immediately without asking. Food came out quickly and my sever checked on me several times. Portions are large and easily sharable. By the time I left there was a line to get in. There is an inexpensive public parking lot just south of the building. I did not see an elevator, that would make the restaurant handicapped accessible (but maybe they have one somewhere). Local, authentic and delicious.

Date: 12/31/24Time: 12:00pmWhat they got right: Quality of food, friendly service, and menu selection. And free parking!Areas for improvement: Can't think of any at the moment.Recommend? YesI ordered the Lobster Benedict and it was in my Top 5 Best Dishes of 2024! OMG! This dish was heavenly! Butter poached lobster meat (no fillers) atop focaccia, topped with a perfectly poached egg and drizzled with Hollandaise. I was blown away ... Hubby ordered Braised Beef Loco Moco thought it was good but the texture of the meat was uneven. Some bits were chewy while others were tender. Overall he would order it again.I look forward to treating myself to another special menu at Tango in 2025!

Long waits on weekend mornings...about the norm for Morning Glass Coffee + Cafe. Worth it as their coffee, pastries, and meals are excellent.Got the Rad Boy Special for takeaway. If I recall correctly, radish, watermelon, easy over egg, feta, and red onion , on a Brioche bun. Bacon can be an add-on, for those carnivores. Excellent.

We come here every week on Wednesday because we love, love, LOVE the food and the service! We love the calamari. It's delicious and always very fresh! We love ALL of the servers, but our favorite is Kalokahi!! He's the best! Our favorite dish is the poke trio with brown rice. Their local dishes with kimchee are excellent too. The kimchee is house-made and it's always very fresh. Whenever someone asks me for a great place to eat in Kailua, we always recommend Uahi Grill!!

Da best...One guy had been on my list it's Da Bald Guy and thanks to Honolulu Night Market in Kaka'ako it's been checked off. Though not my first experience enjoying his dishes it was through an event that I've been lucky to enjoy but I really wanted to get my hands on his plate. On this night he surely didn't disappoint with choices of Pan Fried Poke (spicy or regular), Chopped Rib Eye Steak, Boneless Braised Kalbi and Butter Garlic Shrimp (Spicy or Regular) and though I had intent of getting the Rib Eye it was the Pan Fried Poke since I haven't tried it yet and regular with aioli. With basically no wait as I watched in awe Da Bald Guy making it all along side staff finishing with sauce and garnishes was a very well developed system. The rice was cooked perfectly with a slight bite like you'd enjoy on a sushi so the ride home didn't get it all soggy and was still in prime bites. In the midst of the Night Market and the long lines the vibe was amazing and so was my plate.Thank you!

"Recommended by a friend for Brunch and was not disappointed with the food! They had an open seating, as long as the table was not reserved you can choose where to sit, but I was a little cold so I would bring a sweater next time. Don't sleep on the Cajun Fish N Grits! This dish was recommended by the waitress. I was a little worried because looking back at other reviews they all looked very different, but it was so flavorful! The fish wasn't dry and the corn bread was pretty good too. The only thing I didn't really like was the bacon on the side, but my friend said it was good to have since it was sweet to balance the salty Cajun flavor. We also ordered the Biscuits N Gravy, which was delicious! We used the extra gravy with the biscuits and dipped the chicken in with every bite!"
"Love this place! Love the old diner feel and the food was awesome. Great place to grab some good food not over crowded with tourists"
"I hope this spot stays forever! Our favorite breakfast joint!!Service is always fast and friendly."
"Tourist staying in Waikiki review. I only went with a smoothie because nothing makes me want a breakfast sammie like seeing it in a case for reheating which is the case here... no freshly made eggs, fyi. Smoothie options are limited but the spinach, kale coconut one was good. They also have coffee.Steps from the beach and next to a few hotels, so convenient. Staff was friendly and efficient. Inside doesn't scream vacation vibes. For a quick and convenient smoothie it works."
"When any of my family visit from the mainland they ALL want to hit this friendly joint for brunch a couple of times. What's not to love? Delicious food, daily specials, good drip coffee, superior service, a pleasant island atmosphere, and AMPLE PARKING right in Haleiwa. If they have anything "benedict" when you visit, try it, their hollendaise sauce is on point. Ditto anything with green sauce like their huevos rancheros."
"Yummy yummy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wanted to try the calzone but didn't have time"
"Each donut is freshly made to order so they are still hot when you pick them up. They would make good gifts because the packaging is nice. Our favorite flavor was Smurf ball. Service was friendly and helpful. I like that it is open late."
"We were walking by here and the aroma from this food truck filled the air. The food smelled wonderful and we had to give it a try. It's right by Maguro Spot where I picked up my lunch. The hubby decided to try their sweet chili chicken $17. The prices are a bit higher here in Waikiki. They gave a lot of chicken. I can't do spicy and thank goodness it wasn't spicy at all. It was on the sweeter side. It was yummy after just getting out of the fryer and being drenched in their sauce. It came with white rice, toss salad and a butter roll. I would eat here again, but looking for parking around this place is nuts."
"Birthday cake from Ala Moana Center in Honolulu, Hawaii...La Palme D'Or = The Golden PalmIt's an award given to the Director of the Best film at the Cannes Film Festival. This means that the pastry shop with this name must have goods of the highest quality, right?Let's check them out...I had never been to La Palme D'Or Patisserie before, but I have passed it many times since it's next to The Lanai Food Court on the Mall Level, near Macy's on the Mauka (mountain) side.I saw the picture menu of the beverages in the window... wow... such a variety! I also learned that they serve pasta, salads, and sandwiches! I should return for those! This time, my goal was to secure a Strawberry Shortcake to serve after dinner. I chose the one with the chocolate drippings on the edge of the cake. I asked if the cake could be personalized... yes! I asked if they could hold it for me for about an hour while I walked around the mall... no problem! I just had to leave my phone number. Okay! They offered me a bag for a small price, but I thought I could manage without. Our dinner restaurant was about ten minutes away. They held it in their refrigerator while we ate. When the cake was served, everyone enjoyed the fresh berries, light, fluffy texture, and the not too sweet flavor! Thank you for this excellent cake!"
"I love coming here for breakfast and anytime of day. Food is always on point especially the arrozcaldo. My favorite and the kare kare. My favorite for breakfast is the corn beef omelette. My boyfriend and I usually come here for breakfast early since it isn't busy. Highly recommend if you love Filipino food. Definitely worth the money here. The waitresses are nice too. They refill your coffee right away and your waters."
"Breakfast in Kapahulu, Honolulu, Hawaii...Many people drive past Kaimana Farm Cafe, but have they ever dined there?Maybe the parking is an obstacle...Just go down the street and find the free parking lot by Waiola Shave Ice on Mokihana Street! This farm-to-table restaurant has a comfortable, casual, country feel with an Asian flair.Service was very pleasant and polite. We had a wonderful experience!I got the Hamburg plate which comes with 5 sides. I picked yuzu carrots, beets + orange, kale salad, rainbow hajiji, and Molokai sweet potato. Everything was tasty and creative! We also got an iced matcha Latte... it was refreshing and not too bitter! It felt healthy and looked picture-worthy!I'd go back again!Note: restroom is outside... ask for the key!"
"Updated menu. Still have all the good stuff, they added on a few new items. Lots of other drink flavors are available at the location but not listed in the menu :)"
"Wow this place is definitely a hole in the wall. I would have never been able to find it unless I saw other yelper's directions. We walked in and were asked if we have a reservation. Maybe a good idea to call in to see if they can accommodate you. We were lucky to be seated and the server was incredibly nice. The pasta is good here, but the sides are what really made it to my core memory. I would come for the sides alone!!!!The highlights were the calamari fritti and fried mozzarella. I have never had calamari fritti like this before! The calamari pieces were soft and thick so you get a nice bite to them (but not the rubbery chew). The crispiness dipped in the provided sauce was chef's kiss!!!!!!The mozzarella sticks were out of this world!!!!!!! I have been wanting to try the viral chili's mozzarella sticks since they are rectangular so I am so glad they were like that here. Of course it is probably 100x better here since it's fresh! But because of the way it's cut, you really get a better ratio between the outer fried shell and the soft cheese. Usually my husband doesn't like eating mozzarella sticks and will limit himself to half but he had no problem eating all of this!"
"We were looking for a place to sit and hang out for a bit and needed some table space to take care of some work. We decided on Morning Brew as I wanted to try something new. We walked in and was greeted by a bright and lively coffee shop bustling with people. There are two levels with a number of tables available and more seating upstairs. They had really delicious looking line-up of fresh baked goods and a fairly wide and varied menu of beverages and food. From sandwiches and toasts, to bowls and sweet treats, they have a great selection of breakfast and brunch items. As for their coffee, it's all locally roasted and also had a pretty wide selection. From single brew pour overs to beverage specials like a cold brew float, there's something for everyone. As for me, I went with an iced German mocha which apparently combines espresso, chocolate, and other flavors to create a taste similar to German chocolate cake. It was perfect and I enjoyed sipping on it while hanging out in the shop. All in all, Morning Brew is cute and modern and makes for a great space to hangout and catch up with friends. I think it would also be a good spot for breakfast/brunch.It can get a little loud inside with all the patrons and felt pretty warm inside, but it did the job and would recommend a stop here."
"Always wanted to try out this brunch place since all the food looked so aesthetically pleasing! Walked in for 4 adults and a toddler and was able to get a table within 10 mins.I got the Roasted Chicken sandwich, my husband got the Steak Melt, and my daughter got the Big Breakie. - Roasted Chicken sandwich: The chicken was dry and didn't have any seasoning on it. The only thing that made it better was the eggplant caponata. I had to ask for tapatio to make it have a little more flavor. Fries were okay, not that crispy. - Steak Melt: Okay. The mushroom and the onions made it taste better, but again, no seasoning on the steak. - Big Breakie: Daughter loved the bacon and potatoes. I thought the bacon could've been cooked more. Sourdough bread was hard so she couldn't eat that and the eggs were a bit runny but very vibrant in color. Friend got the corn fritter and she said it had no seasoning either. Overall kinda disappointing. Expected more because all the food looked so aesthetic but most of them didn't have seasoning or flavor at all."
"Saved up money to take out behbeh girl to a birthday dinner at Bali Oceanfront. Heard this was the spot to see the fireworks from the Hilton Jawaiian Village. Thought would be romantical, but the seat we got only could see half of the firework show. The server that we had was one prankstah, but good thing he was funny or else he would've got the soup soup. I got the steak and was hammaz, behbeh girl got the shrimp ravioli and that was hammaz. The place was clean with the cool Hawaiian breeze. Time to head to Valor and skank. Shoots"

Their is much more Food items that he enjoys eating from here, can't ask him now, he's in "Hiamoe" Land right now. Lol. ***I enjoy their *Sizzling Hamburger Steak*.Oishii :)***Ordered their Bacon Fried Rice (twice) So far, it's pretty good! Just keep in mind, that if u decide to Order Side KimChee, FYI, they will Automatically put their "Kim Chee" in your Fried Rice, Automatically?!?! Happened to me the 1st time I ordered their Bacon Fried Rice. I thought they would put my Side order of Kim Chee ($2.99+), on the Side of my *Bacon Fried Rice*, not toss in it my Fried Rice?? Lol. At least now I know now that, & I've Ordered Bacon Fried Rice again, the next time we dined in there for Dinner & remembered to tell them (Da Nice Waitress!!) to please don't put my *Side Order* of Kim Chee inside of my Fried Rice, No, I don't want Kim Chee Bacon Fried Rice!! I know for sure, I'm not ordering that in the Future, I mean it didn't taste bad or Anything, it just didn't quite taste like *Pork Adobo*, Imho. Our Wonderful Waitress, "Sua" asked me if Iiked it & I honestly told her, not really?!!! She even Apologized & asked me if I wanted *Vinegar* with my Meal, I replied, ooh No thank you!! I don't think that Vineyard would have made my *Pork Adobo* Food tastes any better?? Lol. Well, at least "Sua" tried to help with my Meal?!!?. I only ate maybe not even half of the Meat, but I did like the *Sparerib* tasting Gravy tho. Lolz!Lots of prkg here @Eagle Cafe, we'll all the times we've dined here for Dinner!!Clean & Spacious Restaurant, with, Grrrrrrrreat Service!!! But, "Sua" only works on the Weekends!!! She's So Super nice!!!"
"Food tasted good, came to the table warm & coffee was good. Prices are very reasonable and NOT inflated. Other special menu items looked good to try, maybe on another visit:-Roast pork loco moco-Sausage gravy & biscuits -Monte Cristo sandwich -1/2 Monte Cristo and soup A small breakfast & lunch local restaurant located off the side of Kahuhipa St, shares a parking lot with Napa auto parts.I think it was worth our time to explore another breakfast spot. Go try um' & support lical business"
"Long overdue review. Delicious fresh food, fair pricing, and friendly service. We had a group of like 15 people traveling so we called in and ordered a bunch of different box lunches. Everybody raved about the food, especially the loco moco. The food is made to order so there's a small wait if you walk up during busy hours, but if you call ahead they have it ready when they say they will. We will definitely be back next time we are in Oahu!"
"Our server, Aiko was amazing. She took care of our party of 4 and was very efficient at her job. We really appreciated her timeliness and attentiveness. For starters, we ordered the Crispy Shrimp(7/10), Kalbi (10/10), & Poke Nachos (4/10) My nephew had the keiki cheeseburger meal and he loved their fries. Super thin, lite and crispy! I ordered the 604 bento (10/10) it came with fried noodles, rice, garlic chicken and mac salad. The whole bento was mayjah but the best part was hands down the fried noodles . We also got the pulled pork tacos (7/10) & a 604 breakfast plate (choice of eggs, meat and starch) the outdoor patio seating was actually really nice. It's a spacious area that overlooks the 10th hole as well as a side view of the driving range. There was a private party area also located outdoors and it looked good for a party of 30-50 ppl give or take. The best part about seating outside was the refreshing cool trade winds. There was also a stage area for live bands and a decent size for a dance floor."
"What can I say about Richie's Drive located on King St. Right across from American T-shirt company. I believe this the only drive thru plate lunch place for convenience.I ordered their famous Boneless chicken with gravy . Can't go wrong with the Boneless chicken although looks like the portion got a little smaller lol. Back in the day the plate was fuller. They still have that old order board which you can hardly hear the order taker it's all muffled. Also when they raised the prices they use painter tape for the new prices so ghetto .Ghetto or not it's still a go to place with a good selection plate lunches with price is not bad .Support local"
"This place tucked in the middle of Koze Sushi and another restraunt is a small place. Seats about 20 people. The price is ok I guess because it's raw fish. good quality fish! The only thing that probably was not to my husbands liking was the shabu shabu meat It was really shredded mostly fat too! I thought my poke bowl with additional avocados was tasty. If you're on a lunch break. Know that this place is in no rush. You will not be in and out in 30 min. More like 45-1 hour. Parking is plentiful too or bottom. It says 1 hour parking but it's not monitored. There's a desert place across of fresh bites. It's literally 10 steps across. I would come again and maybe try the poke wrap (burrito)."
"(+) Waikiki bowlAloh is a cafe that serves the freshest smoothies, açaí bowls and super food items in the heart of Waikiki. I love how they're open late making an acai bowl the perfect dessert. My wife and I come here every time we visit Waikiki just for their acai bowl. Food: the acai bowl comes with granola, fruit and a perfect texture of acai. What makes it perfect is the sorbet texture to their acai. I prefer the icier texture over the smoothie texture. The fruit is super sweet and granola gives it the perfect crunch. Service/ambiance: service is standard and the ladies there are helpful and craft your items so delicately. There are tables inside to sit down at. Overall I recommend aloh for your acai bowl needs. It's one of my wife's favorites here on Oahu. One day we'll build enough courage to order something else on the menu :p"
