"My wife and I were on vacation and had already been on the island for a few days. We stopped at the "original" Keneke's but they said they didn't have any garlic shrimp. We decided to continue our counter-clockwise drive around the island and stopped at this location. There was plenty of open parking on a fairly rainy Tuesday, and there weren't many other people there. We later found out that the other people there were ordering wedding food as this place does catering as well. We ordered the garlic shrimp plate with fries to split and got a couple of drinks. I have to downgrade this place by a star due to whatever mess they had going on at the drink counter. I'm not sure exactly what it was but it looked like it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned in a while. Everything else about the place seemed clean though. When the food arrived, I thought they had thrown a bunch of rice over our shrimp and fries. I soon realized it was minced garlic piled high in the plate. I thought it was delicious. My wife said it was the best meal of our 12 day vacation. I strongly recommend the food, but I hope they clean up whatever was going on at the back of the drink counter."

"Located in SALT at our Kaka'ako, Village Bottle Shop is my favorite place to pick up beers. They have a lot of selections, including beers from Hana Koa Brewery (my go-to) as well as other local breweries. I want to shout out Leilani! She was super helpful when I asked her about recommendations for myself and beers for me to gift to my dad. My ask was for not-too-hoppy hazy IPAs for me and light ales or dark stouts for my dad. Lots of good recommendations and she was super knowledgeable. She also let me sample one of the hazy IPAs that I was going to buy since it was on tap (knowing that I am kinda picky about my hazy beers). Love that they're open 7 days a week. You also can pre-order beers online for pick up in-store if you are looking for something in particular. Thanks Leilani and Village Beer for being the best place to pick up beer in the neighborhood."

Total was roughly $66.Kailua town has the worst pricing due to the influx of tourists & inflation. These days it's comparable to Waikiki prices.Good: food was yummyMain hostess was nice.Food was quick 10-15minsBad: -small portions$26 for a kalbi lunch plate that came with small kimchee side, a dollop of cabbage and 2pcs kalbi and 1 scoop rice each plate.-lack of convenience/// please consider having your team ask for a customer's name & write it on their bag if its just left on the takeout table-idk her name but the 2nd girl working was obviously only helping me to grab my order when she was checking my receipt, she made sure to check for a tip (girl bffr,on a takeout order of 3 plates, with 2 being entrees) LOLs-the slowness effect of morning time visitors especially catering to elderly customers who want to talk story with each employee Note: I don't know why the BCD owners (if they're connected or not, I don't really know) didn't try harder to keep BCD Kaimuki open- because that location's cooks could really COOK. "What do I like most about this place? It's in the food court with huge screen TVs that I can catch NFL games on. I can get food from any of the food stalls and watch my games. There always seems to be a crowd rooting on their favorite teams. The cocktail waitress will come around sometimes asking if you want a drink. Today, I got a virgin pina colada $7 from her. She asked if I wanted whipped cream on it. I said yes and the drink was perfect. It was creamy and had the right amount of coconut to pineapple ratio.The Lions were battling it out with the Niners for the NFC Championship. The Lions were up by two touchdowns and a field goal at the half. Dan Campbell gave the game away. He should have kicked those two field goals instead of going for it on 4th, lol. He needed those six points. I could have coached a better game. The game was his to lose and he lost it. Better luck next year, Lion nation."

"Showed up for Happy Hour (3-5pm) Labor Day weekend, but was informed that the Happy Hour specials were not being offered during the union strike. My server was super nice and got my drinks quickly despite the circumstances. Hilton had to pivot quickly for food service with CJ's and Round Table pizza serving their menus. Was able to get a table by the pool.The pina colada was refreshing, and the Mai Tai was strong. Even though service was a little slow, everyone was friendly and professional. Would definitely come back when things go back to normal and visit at night during live music. This was the place to be on hotel premises. Thanks for the afternoon cocktails after a long hula festival weekend."

"I am not sure how I feel about this place. My husband brought me here for our weekly "surprise" date, so we did not review the menu beforehand. As we were walking in the sign said modern Hawaiian cuisine. Honestly, I was scared it would be touristy and some fancied up Kalua pig type deal. To our surprise the menu was mostly Korean dishes. The food was good, but I think the vibe felt off. The place is nice but felt like I was sitting in an upscale Korean restaurant paying upscale prices for food I could have got at some of our favorite Korean mom and pop places.The service was OK. It seemed as though we were not tended to as much as other tables. If I am being honest it felt like all of the people with "color" were seated in the back section. It was pretty cool that the server came and poured us our sake. If we are in the area, we would try again as we now know what to expect. However, I don't think this is one of those places that I would travel to just for to eat and have no other reason to be there.To be fair they are fairly new and as they get established it may get better!"

"My coworkers and I decided to check this place out after class. We're all fans of beer lab and since this location has different food options we opted to check it out. For parking you need to park in the lot used for Nijiya, Betty's burgers, etc. If the lot is full, you can try to find street parking. It is located on king street just past 7-11 and before you hit university ave. Now to the good stuff. The food and service was AWESOME! We got our drinking within minutes or ordering and the food is made to order so it took a little bit but still came out relatively quickly. The electric lili-pepper beer was interesting and you definitely feel a burn when it's going down. The lihing highball was ok. I wish there was a stringer lihing flavor to it. However, the lihing old fashioned was excellent! Perfect balance of sweet/sour lihing and the bite of the whiskey.I highly recommend checking this place out! Great food, service and easy parking. You really can't ask for much more. Aloha!"

It was a Saturday night so there was live music so even though it wasn't too crowded, it still had a nice atmosphere. The food was good. The garlic fries were really good and I loved the large chunks of garlic. The Caesar salad was just okay. The dressing was not the greatest but I did like that they used taro chips instead of croutons. I probably wouldn't get it again though. The pork sandwich was really good and very flavorful."

"Since when did they change the name from Restaurant Row to Waterfront Plaza???It's been years since I've come to this complex to look around and eat at a business. So much has changed in the last 25+ years as there is an array of different eatery businesses from what I remembered from back-in-da-dayz and the nightclubs like - Oceans Club, Blue Zebra, Studebaker's, Mystic (Mahalo Ruby S. for reminding me!) and my all-time personal FAVORITE - World Cafe are a thing of the past.I think the only business I currently recognize at Waterfront Plaza is good 'ol - Ruth Chris Steakhouse. Seriously we weren't expecting the portions to be so generous. We ordered ahi belly, fried chicken, shoyu chicken, tempura, fried tofu and noodles. Drinks and beers ordered around and let the party begin!First let me say the drinks are cheap! Seems like everywhere lately the prices are the same as Waikiki...these were neighborhood bar reasonable.... Of all the food I liked the fried chicken best and the ahi belly least, not that I didn't like it, it was good just a little drier than I like. Noodles were good too as the blouse I was wearing can attest....i had noodles everywhereWould I return, yes I would. Fun evening filled with much laughter, good food and good friends."

It is located on the ground level... the awkward entrance to parking, the many pillars and tight turns make it a navigational chore, just to park. On the positive side, there is sufficient parking, fairly well lighted, and I believe I saw a security guard patrolling the parking area.Upon entering, you come into a completely different world, clean, spacious, well lighted, ample seating, and room to socialize and dance the night away.Despite the staff shortage, the multi-tasking friendly, smiling, professional staff worked diligently to ensure everyone was served in a timely manner.The beverage prices are reasonably priced. The food menu though abbreviated were also reasonably priced. We ordered Steak & Onions, Fried Rice, Steamed Fish, Chicken Wings ... guaranty broke the mouth delicious. The garlic shrimp seemed very tempting... but our table had too many GOUT sensitive persons.The karaoke sound system and monitors were of excellent quality. And playing of songs orders were fair and efficient.Tonight's clientele, had some very awesome talent and voices ... though competitive, everyone was very supportive and encouraging to ALL SINGERS.I ask everyone to come checkout this really awesome hole in the wall... you will definitely make this your group's Karaoke hangout."

Not much has to be said other than you have to try it. Lots of different ramen options. And with three different noodle choices you can't go wrong. Word of advice the regular size if plenty. But if you are hungry and you need more noodles go for the large. The atmosphere is great as well. Very much reminiscent of the Japanese subways and restaurants. You have nothing to lose but much to gain. Give it try!!"

"Hubby, daughter and I came here to play games. It used to be called Johnny Rockets but then changed their name. Not sure when this happened. Probably a little after 2021. It has games and a section where you can dine in and eat. They serve burgers, fries and your normal typical food. We dined here when it was Johnny Rockets. They food was pretty tasty. For the games you need a players card to play games. The more points you accumulate, the better. You get into a higher tier. More benefits of that. The inside was fairly clean. I believe there's a restroom in the back but I think you may need a code. Code is on your receipt if you dine in and play games. We had so much fun here. Definitely coming back again."

"Sippin Santa is back for 2022 just off the lobby at the Prince Waikiki.What a fun little pop-up. It has a lot of holiday charm. Very instagrammable. People are in and out relatively quickly, so I was able to get a table right away (6pm on a Friday) but tables had filled quickly after - but were turning over.Okay, I will admit I opted for the Sippin Santa because he was cute - there were other drinks I surely would have enjoyed more, but they were in as cute a mug. There, I said it! Still, it was good for the photo op, but about halfway through, I was really tired of the ginger flavor. It was pretty potent, too, which is good when you're dropping $25 on a cocktail. I didn't get any snacks, but some are available: truffle popcorn, sweet chex mix, a charcuterie tray. None spoke to me, and I was headed to dinner later anyhow. Cute holiday decor with cheeky neon ("he sees you when you're drinking") and nonstop Christmas music. The staff was amazing - everyone was SO FRIENDLY - still lots of holiday cheer early in December, and there were tons of servers walking by to take orders, or get anything you might need. Cheapy cheap parking in the harbor lot behind the Ilikai."

"Came here for trivia night with friends but have been here in the past. Since I haven't made a review, this one will reflect my most recent experience. Trivia Night was absolutely fun! Unfortunately, I came on the host's last night (as he's moving) but I'm glad I got to play a game hosted by him just once! I ordered the Pork Sliders. It was OK. I actually got a side of BBQ sauce because there was a lack of flavor in the two little sliders. Fries were good. Would recommend adding sauce to the sliders.My friend ordered the Crispy Rice and Spicy Ahi. It was not exactly what she expected. I guess she was expecting more sushi-like pieces. Anyways - the rice was indeed crispy. Perhaps a little too crispy? It was definitely a hard bite. Spicy Ahi was alright.Her boyfriend ordered the Chicken Sandwich and they really enjoyed it. They think it's the best item they've gotten here so far, and I'll take their word for it. Beer was good! All their beer is good. Overall, will come back and try their other menu items! I would like to come back for Happy Hour and definitely try more of their beers."
