"Had a great time riding mopeds around the North Shore. I never rode one before but was up and running after a quick tutorial. We did $55 for four hours and that was more than enough time to stop at my favorite beaches, stop off and watch the surf competition at Sunset and grab some lunch before heading back. I will definitely be back!"
"This was such a cool paddling and hiking experience! We didn't do a tour but we did rent kayaks. Booking online is easy. PRO TIP #1: make sure to indicate if you want life vests in the Comments portion of your online booking form!Signing the liability waiver was also online. Easy and convenient! Our delivery guy Brad texted us the day of with instructions for pickup. Super convenient. We did Chinaman's Hat, so he brought our kayaks to Kualoa Beach Park. He parked on the side of the road and set up the kayaks on the grass for us. My partner and I launched our kayak from the beach area just in front of the truck. Then we paddled to Chinaman's Hat, which took us less than 30 minutes. The Chinaman's Hat hike was steep and lots of dirt and rocks. PRO TIP #2: wear tabis! There are lots of rocks on shore and going up the mountain! The view at the top of the mountain if you choose to go was perfect! You can see the shoreline perfectly. Then drop off was easy. The delivery guy waited until we brought the kayaks back which was convenient since we wanted to leave before our reservation ended at 4:00pm. Mahalo Active Tours O'ahu! We'll definitely rent with you folks again soon!"
"My son went out this morning. Had an incredible time. 1 on 1 lesson. Very easy booking, check-in, and appointment. His instructor was thorough. Professional and knowledgeable. Will definitely use them again."
"You will not know how special this place is until you get there. Yes, its a surf shop. Yes, the clothing is on point. I bought a cool shirt from here. Shave ice is the kind I like, and they got the extras that go with it. Sunglasses. Bodyboards. Fins. Mask & Snorkels. Boom! But what you dont know is that THEY SELL POKE BOWLS TOO! Yup. Poke by the pound. Poke Bowls. And our favorite...POKE NACHOS. If you dont believe me, go look for yourself. I went there plenty of times just for the poke. IYKYK. And now you know."
"Part of the Resort Amenities for Hilton Garden Inn Waikīkī Beach (where we stayed) and a couple other hotels. It's located on Kalakaua Avenue and is part of the Aston Waikīkī Beach hotel. There's no parking unless you pay for parking at the Aston. They open at 7am for reservations and rentals. Reservations are "day of" only. They also don't have a phone, so you must show up in person to reserve a time slot for SUP or surf boards (2-hr rental only). Everything else is first come, first serve - all day rental. HGI offers 3 credits/day. Each rental is 1 credit. There are more offerings than listed in the picture posted such as sand toys for Keiki. On the first time renting - you create a quick profile (only need to do it once) with the staff that is saved for future rentals.Kūhiō Beach and Queens Beach is perfect for lugging the board rentals for use and there's showers nearby. The staff here are very friendly and welcoming! (:Yelp 2022 Challenge: 01/40"
"I want to say Mahalo many times! The owner went out of his way to drop off 2 umbrellas. They're the middle of moving so they-re not located at duke's plaza. You may have to call to find out if you're able to rent. This was the best customer service on the island. Please call rates are very cheap. Mahalo again!"
"We decided to ride ebikes for a last minute tour of the island. This was a great choice. The bikes were $40 for a 2-hour ride since we were hotel guests with Marriott. Tommy was very helpful and did a great job at explaining everything prior to our departure. The bike comes with a bike lock and map of you decide to make a few stops. The bikes were clean and in excellent condition. We really enjoyed using them and enhanced our vacation experience."
"The best! He has a great selection of boards to rent at reasonable prices. Flexible drop offs and pick up options."
"This snorkel adventure was a nice escape to a beach that wasn't overcrowded. Hanauma Bay is a nature preserve, but you are able to swim with the fish and feel safe from any danger of sharks as there is a coral reef that pretty much prevents them from coming in.Hanauma Bay Snorkel Adventures picks you up at one of the major hotels in a white, unmarked van. The instructions they emailed to confirm the reservation is very thorough so be sure to read it closely. They picked us up at 8:00 and our feet didn't hit the beach until 10:00. We had to meet back up at 1:20 at our drop off location. The driver, Jack, was a great conversationalist and he had a lot of information about the island and gave us some historical background which was great."

The best possible beach rental shop conveniently located near lanikai beach!! they have everything in a convenient package: snorkel set, 2 beach umbrellas, 2 beach chairs, dry bag, and a hefty wagon to carry everything-- for a very fair price. We added on a icebox, which was perfect for our lazy boozy beach day @lanikai.(someone tell me if their tacos are good)

On a lark, we stopped here to check out whether they sold beach chairs. They didn't, but they do rent them. No interest in that. But what did interest us was their snack bar which featured milk shakes among other specialties. We both ordered a sugar cookie caramel milk shake with crumbled cookies on top. What a great decision that was. The milk shake was incredibly good! We really enjoyed this place. Nice people and an outstanding milk shake.

Texted Vince last minute for beach umbrella rentals, so happy I did! He was super responsive, had great prices, and brand new equipment! He even delivered to our hotel!! I wish I found him sooner, as I def would have rented from him the entire trip! We had rented 2 beach umbrellas and he threw in a huge floaty for free! Thank you!

We rented 3 e-bikes from Hele On Waikiki and rode around the island to Diamond Head and back. It was a terrific experience. I had reserved it online in advance and when we arrived they had the bikes out front and ready to go. The bikes worked great and they explained everything to us before we took off. They do give you a printed map of their suggested route, kinda challenging to follow it while riding, would be awesome if they had their own app to give directions and even commentary as you ride. We tried to use Waze but it was taking us off the map route so we just winged it. I would definitely recommend renting from this company. Beautiful scenes that you'll never get to see unless you go biking and exploring the island!

We loved our experience renting boards with these guys. We picked up three surfboards from their house. They had a big selection and were kind to let us swap out daily depending on our moods. Super accommodating and lovely family business. Go support them!!

"I spent the day at Hale'iwa Ali'i Beach Park and noticed "Hale'iwa Surf Shop" across the street.I visited three surf shops while exploring the North Shore, and this was my favorite of the three. It is located in a house that has been converted into a retail shop. It is quaint and unassuming. It has some major brand inventory--but the majority of its stock is clothing and accessories of their own design. They have some designs that feature a "bridge" (a nod to the nearby bridge that crosses the Anahulu River), and some designs that feature a rooster (a wink to all of those feral chickens that you see running around). You can go to their website for online shopping--but the online shop does not have all of the items available in store.Sometimes I think the term "authentic" is overused nowadays; but the shop does feel "of a place"."
"Easy transaction! Friendly, fast service! Willi delivered the bikes. We rode them - we brought them back. Uncomplicated and fast. Decent quality cruisers, helmets and locks provided.Recommend!"
"Couldn't look for a better experience for a first time buyer than what I got with Wayne and Hoe He'e Nalu Boardriders. Definitely recommend checking them out, before purchasing anywhere else. They have great deals on great boards, and even better deals when they have their sales going on. Wayne was extremely friendly and helpful, and can't wait to enjoy our board for years to come. Do keep in mind, this place is harder to find because it's located in a warehouse, but a quick call to Wayne and he's quick to answer! The shop (or showroom, as its referenced) is tiny and located within the warehouse area, but there's more than enough to find what you're looking for. So if you're in need of a board, I definitely recommend checking out Hoe Nalu!"
"The best place to get your rentals and lessons! My gifriend and I signed up for a 90 minute stand up paddle boarding lesson with an instructor via Groupon and so far it's been one of my most favorite experiences during our trip! We started off with the instructor teaching us the basics and eventually we were able to stand and paddle on our own. What made the experience so great was that the instructor (think his name is Caleb) was super patient and really great at helping use learn. We started off in the ocean but eventually made our way to a small river where got to spot some turtles and the water there was really smooth and nice too.If you're looking for a place to learn how to stand up paddle board, this is the right place for that!"
"Dive Oahu &Surf has been carrying the torch for the legendary Koa Beach Services since 2019 when they shuttered. They offer all the same great activities like body boards, kayaks, paddle boards, floats, and of course lounge chairs and umbrellas. I find the prices reasonable considering where they're at, plus military gets a substantial discount. They even offer multi day pricing which is a real bargain. The staff is pretty friendly and Manager Mike is very customer focused and attentive. Only opportunity is to be a little more proactive on cracking down on poaching. Nothing worse that paying for a chair/ umbrella setup only to have some poorly behaved freeloaders plop down right next to you and never pay a cent! Overall, if you're looking to carve out a comfortable spot and chill on Waikiki beach, then you must make this your first stop. Open daily 9-5pm. Online reservations also available."
"This place was kinda difficult to find since it's a big plaza. So to make it easier it's right around the corner from Starbucks if you see Starbucks keep going to the back parking lot.But other than finding this place it was such a good experience! They were on it as soon as we walked in! The lady that helped us taught us how to put on and how everything works for snorkeling. The prices here were decent too ! And right around the corner from Haunama bay which is where we were headed. If going that way I would definitely stop here to rent out gear if ya need it. We had a great experience & I was impressed with the information they gave us and really wanted us to have a great time at the bay! We tried on our gear and headed on our way."
"We had a group of 6 wanting to surf on the West side but no boards. So Bobby, the man himself, MET US AT THE BEACH with the boards ready to go. He even gave us a private surf lesson for us first-timers. And did I mention the DISCOUNT this man gave us???I can't recommend this service long enough. If you're renting boards or taking lessons, this man will get you STOKED and help you catch some major waves."
"Looking for a affordable weekend with the family? Look no further. If you are a kamaaina, you can stay in the small Hale that sleeps 4 for $50 a night! It's roughing it but I survived a two night stay and so can you!The Plantation Hale comes with nothing. You basically have a place to sleep. No amenities. There is an outdoor shower (cold water only) and toilet (byoTP- toilet paper) both shared with others. Each Hale comes with a fire pit which is super cool! We like Hale 1, 2 , and 3 because it is ocean front. Bring everything you need as if you were tent camping (grill, sleeping bags, coolers, etc.). If roughing it is not your jam no worries. They have plantation suites which have indoor toilets! If you don't mind roughing it there are also tent only areas which is very affordable. The best thing about staying here is that the bay is awesome! My kids loved it so much we are going back again in a few weeks."
"Amazing customer service! I was in need of beach gear since I was traveling in Oahu and didn't want to buy anything here. Abraham and his team came to the rescue! Abraham responded to my voice message promptly and set up pick up and delivery immediately. He even gave me local tips on what to do and where to go on the island! The set I rented included an umbrella, two beach chair, and a cooler, all of which were perfect for a day at the beach. If you are traveling and plan to have beach days, I highly recommend Abraham!"
"We decided that we wanted to go snorkeling while in Hawaii but do it on our own time and not have to buy equipment that we may not use again. I checked the reviews and Snorkel Bob's of Oahu came up as the top choice so we made a reservation to rent some snorkeling gear. We showed up at our appointment time and was promptly greeted by a lady who knows anything and everything snorkeling. She was able to get my wife and daughter prescription snorkeling masks. I didn't even know there was such a thing!!! She also set us up with everything else we needed and showed us how everything worked. She was a pleasure to work with and funny! The customer service was impeccable and we truly felt valued as customers. The rental price for a weekly rental is very inexpensive and you can do a daily rental if you like. I highly recommend Snorkel Bob's of Oahu and will be back in the future."
"Rob was kind, thoughtful, and articulate during our paddling excursion. Though we had reserved five spots, I didn't have the opportunity to paddle since we were short one paddle, however, I thoroughly enjoyed learning how to navigate the ocean with Rob's interactive instructions. In fact, it was so impactful that I'm already looking forward to venturing out on another outrigger journey when I visit again.Thank you Rob for making special accommodations for us on your day off. Our first of many experiences here was sensational. I appreciate how easy it was to socialize with you. Our lesson on how to navigate the ocean using the proximity of the horizon and stars was the highlight of our Oahu trip. I highly recommend Royal Hawaiian Beach Services. Happy holidays and cheers to you all! Mahalo! Sincerely,Bri W."
"nice boards and clean shop ........ waikiki is a nice surf spot and reccomend trying to surf there and support loval businesses here"
"Located in the Makaha Gateway strip mall on the corner of Makaha Valley Road and Farrington Highway you will find the store between Longs drugs and Papa John's Pizza. Hours are 10 AM to 6 PM daily lots of parking out front. This is definitely a shop geared towards tourists as they sell no local surf or clothing brands.most of the clothing here is labeled with Makaha or Hawaii. One thing beneficial is that they do sell boogie boards and fins."
