"As I started writing this review, I realized that all of the 3 photos I've posted so far are of the avocado burger, so I wonder if you can guess my go-to order here? LOL I do also get fries every time but for some reason never took photos of those.Burgers can be ordered 1/2 or 1/3 pound and by default come with a kaiser roll, lettuce, tomato, and mayonnaise. But you could also get wheat or rye bread. The burgers are delicious, although you need to be able to handle messy burgers that are taller than they are wide. I recommend ordering to go even if you dine in, because then your burger comes wrapped in foil which is convenient for keeping your hands dry while eating! There are also paper towel rolls at every table and a bathroom around back to wash your hands though.The fries are shoestring fries, which are tasty and not so common, so they're nice to get.I've also tried the grilled fish sandwich (very good) and pastrami sandwich (not bad). The fish available will usually be ahi, but mahi and ono are also possibilities according to the menu.There are lots of inside tables and some outside tables. It's pretty cold inside so I opt for outside when available.Finally, parking: there's a handful of stalls in the front and more in a small lot in the back."

Delicious food, daily specials, good drip coffee, superior service, a pleasant island atmosphere, and AMPLE PARKING right in Haleiwa.If they have anything "benedict" when you visit, try it, their hollendaise sauce is on point. Ditto anything with green sauce like their huevos rancheros."

"Wow, what a surprise for me. I pass here all the time and finally made a stop to give it a try.The atmosphere was cozy and had a relaxing feel.I saw the owner, he was giving a little history of his restaurant to a customer. The cashier was very pleasant and gave her recommendations to try the half chicken because it came with dark and white meat.I got to say it was super good! I had a choice of starch which I chose white rice and two choices of sauce BBQ and a Teri sauce. Both had a unique taste of its own.I can't wait to come back and try different items. What a great experience."

Inside, several customers were waiting in line for their orders. The competent, friendly cashier interacted with each person politely and efficiently!I got the two daily specials at $10.25 each: Garlic Fish and Beef Broccoli. The "to-go" bag was ready in no time. When I opened the boxes at home, I was surprised at the generous amount of beef broccoli - filled to capacity! The garlic fish was delicious! I was really happy with the food and service! "We haven't been here in years!! Since we were around the area and was hungry, my wife wanted to eat at The Shack. Lunch time was surprisingly sparse with people. We seated ourselves, hoping someone saw us enter (they did). The waitress greeted us and was friendly. She started us with drinks. I looked around the restaurant, which looked kinda cramped with ALOT of tables and chairs kinda close together. I can only imagine when this place is packed with people. Thank God we ate at a slow time. For appetizer, we ordered the deep fried mozzarella (which was very ono). Wife ordered the pastrami rueben with tots. I had the turkey sandwich with fries. Waitress came with our food in about 20mins Which was acceptable. Food was cooked very well, and we were very pleased with this visit, and i thought The Shack was an underrated eating establishment."

We tried to give her the benefit of the doubt because it was busy but after seeing others being tended to that arrived after us, it was clear that she was picking and choosing who she wanted to serve.30 minute wait for a beer and other drinks...the hubby literally had to go up and remind her and the bartender basically dismissed him and would say she would have his drinks out soon. Never happened. Meanwhile, locals were getting served up immediately with no issue. Question: why was this female asian bartender who shall remain nameless ONLY attentive to us AFTER she saw that we were with the same group as a local female artist. She was suddenly full of apologies about us never getting our full meal order and not all of our drinks. SMH. Too late for apologies, sweetie! This review is 100% for you and only you.Zero aloha. That's how I found Aina Grill!I had never heard of Aina Grill before, but they're quite popular and even won an award! They've been at this cozy spot for about 5 years!I saw photos of the special Guava BBQ sauce on Grilled Sirloin and decided to get it. The mini plate comes with 2 sides. I selected the coleslaw and the cheesy baby potatoes. Everything was delicious! The thinly sliced beef tasted yummy and was tender! The fresh coleslaw had the right amount of crunch and tartness! The cheesy potatoes were interesting and not overpowering!I would return if I were in the area! I hope the owner's girlfriend is there again - she was very friendly and knowledgeable. The young man at the cash register was just doing his job... LOL!"

Had lunch there with my sister and brother-in-law. I had their Chicken Katsu it was ok average it came with 1 scoop rice and Mac salad. My sister had their Fish and Chips she said it was also alright it would have been better if it came with vinegar for dipping. We also had a side of their Shoyu Pork on bau bun. Nice atmosphere looking over their golf course service a little slow because lots of golfer eat there after they finish playing golf. "I have walked by here several times but never stopped. After searching YELP for a buffalo wing place I recognized The Nighthawk name and read the reviews and decided that it was time to stop and get some wings. Saturday afternoon and a good crowd there, the bar had a few of the college games on and it was a friendly atmosphere. I ordered buffalo wings to go and had a beer. The food is fresh and tasty. They serve the wings with a ranch dressing and some spicy sweet pickles chips. I recommend the wings and The Nighthawk. I think my next order I will see if they can fry them a little longer just because that is how u like them. Bartender was great."

"Sometimes you just need a quick in-and-out type of eatery that has plenty of parking, lots of seating and decent food. It separates itself from other Pho joints because you don't have to look for street parking or look for parking in some overcrowded pay lot like their nearby neighbor down the street in Kaimuki. The Kaimuki plaza always has ample parking on the upper deck. I walk right in and get my Pho fix in less than 20 minutes. Sometimes if I hit this place solo, it's okay. They have a big screen TV streaming the Food Network to keep me entertained. I always go with the Pho Tai and sometimes with company, we share some spring rolls. It's really hard to screw up Pho and I don't think they do a bad job here. I like that you don't get the msg high after eating like a lot of other places. It's a bit of a cleaner taste. Some people may not like that, but if you're a health nut or don't care for too much msg, then you're in luck.What's even better is that a few doors down for dessert there's the cookie corner. Get your cookie on and get your shopping done at Long's next door or Times Supermarket downstairs."

I have passed by this establishment many times, but was unsure if the restaurant was only accessible to it's golfing patrons. Upon arrival though, we were greeted by a very nice gentleman named Glen whom we later found out was also our server. He informed us the restaurant was open to the public. Then he ushered us in and quickly served us up some nice piping, hot coffee. Shortly afterwards, he took our orders. The following items were ordered:THE FOODThe Early Bird Special ($7.99 each) x 2:a. 2 eggs over easy, Portuguese sausage, and rice w/ a coffee.b. 2 eggs poached (per special request), spam, and extra crispy hash brown w/ a coffee.Talk about an awesome breakfast deal, which is available from 0600-1000.THE SERVICEGlen was so pleasant and attentive! An exceptional server with such a warm and friendly aura about him. He took very good care of us and made sure we had everything we needed.THE DEALSThe restaurant itself was clean and inviting. There was a large TV and an open bar. I saw they had HAPPY HOUR DRAFT SPECIALS Mon-Fri 1400-1700. And GAME TIME SPECIAL (Game Day Mon & Thur) Bud Light Draft Pitchers for $10. And their Everyday PUPU MENU ranges from $6-$14. What a good deal!OVERALL THOUGHTSImo, customer service weighs heavy on what can make a 4 star rating a 5 star experience. And Glen definitely kicked this up a notch to a 5 star experience! Menu is also very reasonably priced. Did I mention they also serve oxtail soup? Restaurant is located on the 2nd floor with a nice view overlooking the putting green. Food was tasty & large portions for the price. We started with garlic fries, which was so good, didn't get a chance to take a pic of it ‍ The Korean sparkling drink was okay. I thought it'd be a sweet/citrus flavor but it was more tart. The "special sauce" on their burgers were delish. Ribeye steak & Korean Fried Chicken were also winners. I'd come back to try other items on the menu."

"We are here now for vacation. We just want to say prices are what you expect at a tourist resort. Food is great! But what really made me write this was Dave, our waiter. He is polite, prompt and knowledgeable about the menu. He's out here sweating to bring our food and drinks poolside to help us enjoy our vacation and deserves not only kudos but a raise! If you find yourself at the Hilton Waikiki, and go to the lagoon pool, which for those older adults like us, is the ONLY pool with a hot tub, please ask for Dave! He is friendly and a terrific waiter!"

"Sooooo... The Burger Den is just the name of their secret menu inside of Denny's that you have to order online for takeout or delivery. Yelp uses Grub Hub (no fee for takeout) for their third party and Denny's has nothing to do with the ordering, just the prepping of the burger. The servers here wouldn't be able to order these special menu items for you either. It's convenient and gives a twist on their usual menu items. I'm trying this for the first time to take home to my husband, but am dining here with my children. The server was able to confirm that the order came through and they were even going to plate it to eat here. I told them I did need it for takeout, but it's good to know they were willing to do that for me."

"*Disclaimer* I ordered take out from this location near midnight, its possible this place is much better in person. I would suggest saving your money and not going here. There are so many better burger places in Oahu to spend your money at. The one upside of this place is they are open very late! The food: The burger I got was dry and had little to no sauce. The meat was bland and the bacon overcooked (albeit still good but its hard to mess up bacon). The bun was mediocre and not very moist. The cheese they used was reminiscent to a kraft singles. Now I know certain other locations use that cheese too but its at-least fully melted, here it was only partially melted which added an unpleasant texture. The fries I had were thick and not crispy (albeit this could result from the take out). They also were not well salted so they were bland.The one upside is they have large portions compared to other burger locations if you want more bang for your buck with a loss in flavor.Usually I would write more in reviews but this place was just disappointing, not much else to say."
