We visited this bakery while stopping by to get some musibis. We couldn't help but take a look at all they had to offer because they had a bread that looked like a pig, so that caught our eye. We got a couple of items listed as favorites, and they didn't last! We were planning to eat them once we got back home, but we ended up eating them during our car ride home.Must try: sausage roll (?) I forgot the name!

Brug Bakery is an absolute gem! With so many convenient locations, it's become a must-visit for us whenever we're in Oahu. We always make it a point to stop by their Ala Moana location, and it never disappoints. Their fresh-baked goodies are irresistible--we can't leave without stocking up on their sausage bread, poi mochi donuts (strawberry, matcha, and cinnamon) and more. Honestly, the only problem is deciding what NOT to get! Here's the cherry on top: spend $40, and you'll walk out with a free, super handy reusable bag--how's that for a bonus? And if you're old enough (you know who you are), enjoy 10% off on Wednesdays. Brug Bakery is definitely a treat that keeps on giving. Highly recommend stopping by to load up on some deliciousness!

Brug Bakery is a small Japanese bakery, with a few locations in Hokkaido, and I thought it was cool that they had some locations in HI!This particular store is at the Ala Moana Center - I can see why this place is pretty popular and why their selections run out quickly! Their offerings include sweet and savory pastries, sandwiches, and loaves. As other Asian bakeries, you pick up a basket and start choosing; we picked up:+the Croquette Pan - bread with a vegetable croquette, tonkatsu sauce, and parsley+a Beef Curry Pan - filled with a homemade Japanese curry+a Bear pan+a shrimp alfredo pan - this was my favorite, as it was topped with tons of shrimp, and the cheesy/creamy sauce topping was yummyStaff are efficient and keeps the line moving; note that this place is super small.Plenty of parking at the Ala Moana Center.+tasty savory pastries+located at the Ala Moana Center

Love Brug Bakery! Really enjoy their choice of sweet and savory Japanese-style baked goods, especially the anpan, custard pan, and chocolate croissants. Items are individually packaged. You start by picking up a tray and pair of tongs and away you go! There are two different locations in Ala Moana: one on the mall level in The Lanai (adjacent to Macy's) and another on the street level (near Ringer Hut). Go get some Brug happiness!

This bakery had a lovely variety of sweet and savory pastries. I appreciated the sweet pastries weren't too overly sweet. My father appreciated the coffee because of its taste and fair price.

Snacking in Honolulu, Hawaii...There are two BRUG Bakeries at Ala Moana Center... One is on the Mall Level at the Lanai Food Court, and this one, which is on the Ground Level on the Mauka side of the Mall - near Marshalls. It was mid-afternoon when I felt like I was starving. I didn't have much breakfast and hadn't had lunch. Surfers Bakery was closed.I was so happy to see BRUG Bakery. I have been to other locations, so I knew about the good quality. This particular location is cozy, and quantity was limited since it was later in the day. They already were sold out of the cute Piggy Buns (with cha siu), which are one of the specials for the month. I got a Pastrami Cheese Focaccia, a Pesto Focaccia, and a Kitaguni Focaccia. They were all savory-delicious in their own way. Yum!Another thing that I like about BRUG Bakery is their Loyalty Program. Just enter your phone number into the system. The app can show you your reward status!

Yum, Japanese baked goods! This Brug location has a decent variety of Japanese pastries, but their Lanai Food Court location has a better selection of milk bread. My favorites are the Lilikoi Hawaiian Monk Seal (love the lilikoi filling) and the Strawberry Snowman, a Nov/Dec special with a strawberry cream cheese filling.

I was pleasant surprised by the Brug Ala Moana as their bread is unique and tasty. Truffle bun was soft and firm. Shrimp and broccoli bread was out to the world innovative but we know that's something Japanese bakers do. Loved it! And the sea lion with Lilikoi ? I bought it because it was so cute! I didn't get to taste it because my son ate it so fast. Note: not all locations have these bread. I later went to the Manoa store and they didn't have the shrimp/broccoli and truffle.

Just to be clear. This Brug Bakery is at the lower level facing the parking lot. This is different from the other one being inside of Lanai Food Court. Again, this smaller Brug Bakery with a storefront had less stuff at 5pm. I was very disappointed as most of stuff were sold out. I had to tell my driver friend to circle his car again as I needed to go upstairs to get some buns as snacks on my flight.

Carb Lovers Rejoice! Surely you will find something delicious here to satisfy your cravings. Favorite items are the iconic Shokupan Bread (so soft and pillowy) to make sandwiches at home and the Curry pan. Pepperoni Foccacia was tasty too. We brought it home to slightly crisp and heat up before eating. Yummmmm! Really nice and convenient spot to drop by when you're at Ala Moana. Service is usually polite and professional. Ambiance is small, but had a homey bakery feel.
