I'm noticing a trend for Broke Folks. All the 5 star reviews are about the burgers. All the *ahem* less-than-5-star reviews are about the tacos. I chose wisely and got the smash burger combo and I was not disappointed. Delicious! Grilled on top of cheddar cheese, so you get that nice crispy cheese lacing, a topping of guacamole, soft bun and meaty burger. Just the right size. The combo comes with crinkle fries, and a pretty big portion of them. All for a little over $10. Go with the burgers and you won't be disappointed.

They were surprisingly good. The smoothies were great. The owner was out front talking to people. Differently get the pineapple smoothie. It was the best. Outdoor sitting, it was busy when we went and it was hard to find a spot. Not very romantic, but who cares you are in Hawaii!

Right on the edge of Waikiki, where locals and tourist with both good taste and knowledge of whats fly. As in where the locals go and tourists lucky enough to of gotten a good bit of information or knowhow can meet up.Open late on weekends. Parking ample (and you can keep an eye on your car)Music stage with local live music.Yo But the Food is sorta like DAMN that was a lot better then I expected and you have high expectations. The people involved in BROKE FOLKs are hella cool too and cool is forever.

Junk. These guys don't know tacos. All grease and no flavor for too much money. The quesadilla was even more greasy and completely limp. No crispiness at all. Also, the spot is trying to be more party spot than food court. Super rowdy crowd, and the stage crew has the music so loud your head hurts by the (long) time your grease is ready. There are real tacos right around the corner on Atkinson from Mayita's that are better, cheaper, and made by an actual Mexican guy from Acapulco. But if you like getting sick to your stomach and wasting time and money, go here instead. It's too bad, because the location has potential. The crew running it now is more about blaring junk music than serving good food. Major disappointment.

This is literally 1000x better than your chain burger joint and it's family run and it's so cheap! Hidden gem. Saved my marriage
