Eatery is noisy, but food was excellent and service was efficient and pleasant. Servers provided useful information on menu selection recommendations. Restaurant has a casual attire most people were in shorts & jeans. Reservations is recommended, although we were walk-in and they were able to accommodate us.

We came here for dinner when my husband was craving pizza. This had good reviews online so we stopped by. Parking was a nightmare like everywhere around here but the inside was upscale and modern. The inside was small but the place was relatively busy. The tiramisu drink was phenomenal, I had two. I definitely recommend if you like chocolate and coffee and sweet drinks. The whiskey drink at the top of the menu was also delightful. The other drink that was supposed to be more on the fruity side was a pass for both of us. Our waitress was cute and sweet. A younger gal. We began with the squash which was the BOMB. The cheese and crusty flakes gave the perfect mixture of smooth but crispy. It was delicious. The pizzas however were too soft for us. The crust was good and the toppings were fresh and yummy. However, there was hardly any crust under the toppings and the pizza was saggy. You could barely eat it by picking it up. It was yummy but not the best.

I usually eat pizzas and pasta dishes here. I always come here with my parents, and we share everything so we all have a taste of each dish.Food: 5/5. I don't recall ever having bad food.Service: 5/5. Service is pretty good. No one irritated me. Ha! That's a great compliment from me because I'm usually easily irritated.Environment: 5/5. It's clean and spacious. Only once did a kid act up but I didn't docket the restaurant. I just blamed the parents.

I went back there six months later and ordered the same cocktail - Green River Passport, because I liked it last time. However, what I got had a totally different look and taste, so I was really confused and disappointed. Fortunately, they were kind enough to switch it to wine for me and I really appreciated that. The pizza I ordered this time was Mamma Mia! without onions and less cheese. I liked it but I think I liked Pepperoni, which I had last time better.Nevertheless, it was wonderful once again and I'd be back for sure. Took one star off for my disappointment with the cocktail. But don't get discouraged by that!

Long overdue review/update. This place is an absolute must for anyone that loves great, no, outstanding food, ambiance, service, and just a great dining experience. They really do it right here, fresh ingredients combined to bring out the most robust of flavors from pizza to the best Caesar salad one could ask for. If it isn't apparent yet, I am a true fan of this restaurant/bistro. We have been on several occasions at this point and the consistency is amazing, anytime, and every time. Please do yourself, family, and friends a favor and get out and support this establishment, we need more like it, that's for sure!

So happy to be able to get a downtown experience right in Kaimuki with parking and no traffic! I called ahead and was told they were booked but that we could walk in to sit at the bar . Luckily they were able to squeeze us in for a perfect pre concert meal. Brick Fire Tavern, not to be confused with Brick Oven Pizza, is located on the same block as Brew'd on Waialae Ave. DRINKS: I started with a Green River Passport cocktail. It was beautiful but I felt like the taste didn't live up to my expectations from the description. My friend got a glass wine.FOOD: The menu offers appetizers, salads and pastas, but they specialize in Neapolitan pizza. Apparently they are the only restaurant in Hawaii certified to make it. Our server with a cool name, Holiday, explained that the owner, Matt, went to Italy to get special training for it and brought back a special brick oven. Apparently there are strict rules that must be followed to make this pizza. Since I wasn't that hungry, I hesitated to get a whole 12" pizza for myself. But since it was their specialty I ordered a Margherita. I needn't have worried as the thin crusted pizza was easy to eat with it's delicious herbaceous San Marzano tomato sauce. Our server warned us that this style pizza is soft in the middle so we knew what to expect. I did like the thinness but I prefer my crust less floppy and a little more stiff. (there's a joke here but I'm not going there. lol) I thought I would have leftovers to take home but failed. My friend got the spicy vodka pasta which was cooked just right and not very spicy. It came with a nice Calabrian sausage,We shared everything including a chop salad which balanced out our meal. This Dowtown transplant is a lovely addition to our Kaimuki restaurant row!

Brick Fire Tavern is an absolute gem! The modern, metropolitan vibe of the restaurant, paired with the open kitchen concept, made for an exciting dining experience. We started off by ordering the house Caesar salad ($15) The Parmesan bread crumble that's sprinkled on top of the salad was stunning!! It made every bite so savory. We then ordered the pepperoni pizza ($23) and added mushrooms ($5) and the prosciutto e rucola ($25) and both were phenomenal. The prosciutto e rucola was my favorite! The combination of fresh arugula and savory prosciutto made every bite a delight. I was a bit skeptical with the arugula but it sent so well with the prosciutto. To top it off, we ordered the Nutella calzone, which was massive and delicious. And since it was a special occasion, I was treated to a scoop of gelato for free, which was such a sweet gesture. The service was fantastic. Staff were attentive, friendly, and quick to bring our order and fill our waters. If you're looking for great pizza and a memorable dining experience, Brick Fire Tavern is the place to be! Can't wait to come back to try their other pizzas!

Brick Fire Tavern in Kaimuki doesn't just make pizza; they craft something soulful, and their Funghi Mushroom Pizza is proof. It's a study in balance--earthy mushrooms meet creamy mozzarella on a crust that's blistered to perfection in a wood-fired oven. The simplicity is striking, letting the quality of the ingredients and the mastery of technique shine. Every bite feels like a conversation between comfort and indulgence, the kind of pizza that makes you slow down and savor. It's not just a meal; it's a moment, and one you'll want to return to again and again.

I've had many Neapolitan style pizzas over the years, and even make some myself at home. Brick fire tavern is the real deal! Super fresh ingredients (including house made cheese, dough, etc). The service at the bar was excellent and ambiance was perfect for dates or nice group dinners. Don't skip out on dessert, the cannolis are exceptional. I would give this place 6 stars if I could.
