I love bread, but am not very well versed in it like other foods, but man, this place really impressed me. These days, I'm not as quick to spend on things above average cost, you know what I mean? I think in today's economy, although inflation is being wrangled back and costs are evening out, we're all a little more spend conscious, but this place is worth spending a few extra dollars. There's something about their product. It's well crafted, delicious, and not easily obtained out here. Yes, there are other bakeries, and other great bakeries at that, but not many others leave me craving for another loaf like their furikake focaccia, or the mung croissant I got my mom a couple of weeks ago. Their mushroom Gruyère croissant is also the thing of dreams! They sell out quickly of many of their unique items, so there's a lot I have not yet had the opportunity to try, but I have not been disappointed by anything I've had the privilege of picking up.Their service is online only for in-person pick-up, but it makes for an efficient experience so you can get to munching on your loaves sooner. The store-front is pretty clean, and they do have a parking lot on the premises, as well as street parking in the general vicinity, so although it's a hole in the wall spot, it's easy to get to, and in my opinion, worth seeking out. Even something as simple as a chocolate croissant, oh my gosh, I kind of want one now. Really, start simple, then grab something unfamiliar. I'd dare tell you, you won't regret it.

Firestone this place but I am trying all the loaves of bread today I got the country and it was not my favorite it was more like a wheat bread and I don't like wheat bread. The crust was super hard and the inside was soft and moist. Great bread texture. I just didn't like the flavor as much. I liked the city one so far it was more like a sour dough to me. This place is a five star place but I gave average for the choice I made today.

We were in the area and hubs wanted his pastry fix. After checking to see what was still available, he ordered the following: Chocolate croissant, Prosciutto Gruyere croissant, and Mushroom Gruyere Toast. He couldn't wait for me to take a picture as he dived right in.The items were fresh. The toast was still crisp and I liked the flavors of the mushroom and gruyere. The croissants were both buttery and flaky, although hubs said there wasn't enough chocolate in the croissant. I'd return to try their loaves.

Swung by on a whim and the guava cheese Danish and prosciutto croissant were both amazing. The layers.... the flakiness... simply incredible. Cute streetside window with fast pickup.

After my first time trying their bread, I think I kept ordering bread for 3 weeks straight and I stepped on the scale and wondered why I gained 5 lbs. oh yeah I know why. Their olive bread was so addicting, it's worth gaining 5 lbs for. I think I ate the whole loaf by myself in 2 days (ideally you finish everything in 3 hours so maybe grab a friend instead of going solo.) The crust was crunchy on the outside and it's so soft inside with bits of olive lodged randomly between the fibers of dough. The dough was also salted perfectly. I said 3 hours because you don't want it to dry out. That's definitely my go-to item after trying other stuff.Their guava roll was also good. It's great for breakfast with your coffee. I also tried other pastries - hit or miss, and still I like the bread most. I ordered online for pickup. I don't think they take walk-in orders so you'll have to preorder stuff. It's a bit pricey but good bread is not easy to find. I don't eat bread all the time but when I do I prefer to have excellent bread!

Always wanted to try the bread from here, but I was intimidated by their old ordering system, but they changed it and it's super easy to navigate! ***The Bread Spread ~ **Focaccia (10/10) ~ Soft, fluffy, and super good. This tastes amazing if you toast it for a little and make a little olive oil dipping. Honestly very easy to eat and snack on! I would highly recommend getting this :) **Seeded City | Sourdough (8/10) ~ The sourdough has a really nice crust and is super fully. I would highly recommend toasting it before eating it! Personally, I'm not a huge fan of all the seeds it made it a lot more nutty so you can't really taste too much of the sourness from the sourdough. **Chocolate Brioche (9/10) ~ This was really good. Loved the chocolate nubs that were in the chocolate swirl. It gave it a nice bitterness to off set the sweetness. I would highly recommend eating this was a hot cup of coffee. Anyways, I gave this a 9 because I thought it would be more of a chocolate flavor. Overall, I would totally come back! The loaves are literally the size of your face and are reasonably priced. Everything tasted super good! :)

Bread in Kaimuki, Honolulu, Hawaii...When I read Five-star reviews by my friends, Rod U., Jo Y., Nat N., Amy M., Ric C., Brian M., Nadia K., Kira K., Bruddah Fran C., and others, I wanted to get bread from Breadshop, but... bread has carbs... uhg! My doctor will find out and scold me!!!Then, my friend, Randy S., got Review Of The Day (ROTD) for Breadshop... arggg! That pushed me over the top...I had to go get some bread!Located on the corner of Waialae Avenue and 8th Avenue, Breadshop shares a free parking lot with The Curb. Enter from 8th Avenue. Service is efficient because everyone orders online! Select the day and time of pickup. The menu varies from day to day. I got a croissant, Mountain Apple tart, and a loaf of Furikake Bread... wow!I sat outside the shop in the dining area and devoured that crisp croissant with soft, airy interior. OMG! I followed up with the Mountain Apple tart... it was OK in comparison with that croissant... it was fabulous! At home, I cut the Furikake Bread into slices that could fit my plastic containers. Of course, I chomped on several slices! The nori and sesame seeds flew around my floor and table, but it was worth it!It's not easy to make bread...I really appreciate the different flavors and pastries that are created by Breadshop! I'll return for sure and try everything!

Making the dough in Kaimuki...Breadshop is exactly that and what they do incredibly is making bread and some other pastries as well and have seen them many times as I do love to swing by their neighbor The Curb as parking here is the best with decent amount of parking right in the back of the building.Hearing so many great things about this place as so many do so as well as much as they seem to have an abundance of inventory you must order online to have a bite of this gluten goodness. It's actually easy as i did so as I sat on the parklet and agree that it's a much easier system as it's contactless and simple versus asking various questions of what they have available since there isn't a display or menu of their offerings making it a easy process to decided as well. With that I enjoyed my treat right at the parklet as i just couldn't wait as i could smell it through the box and what was it..."Dahi Toast" and you'd think you can just get it again...it depends you gotta check the site as many items do sell out and I have yet to see it again cause if I do it's mine! The service is so nice and friendly and just enjoyed all the love they put in to each product shows...they open 2pm-6pm Wednesday to Sunday, closed on Monday and Tuesday come see and smell what it's all about.Thank you!

I do not like to add bad reviews however, after spending $85, I would have expected the pastries to not be burnt to a black crisp. How can you sell that to your customers? It tasted horrible! Sourdough went downhill as well since there's holes in it, which means they skimped on the ingredients. Babes Bakery it is! See the picture below of the burnt pastry.

Is this place for real?Breadshop is supposedly a bakery where all their items get sold out quickly, and online ordering is the only method of obtaining their breads/pastries. They are only available on Wednesdays through Sundays, and you have to time it right where you can actually have a selection to choose from.We tried:+the Mushroom Gruyere Toast+the Orange Cardamom Morning Bun+a Pecan Praline Snail+a Prosciutto and Gruyere Croissant+a Sourdough Chocolate Chip Cookie+a Persimmon Sticky Toffee Pudding Danish+a Guava and Sweet Cheese Brioche Tart+a Banana Suman CroissantWe missed out on the foccacia squares the last round, so we were excited to try the additional items.Unfortunately, these were all a miss - they were overly greasy/oily, and some were either overbaked and too dry? Not sure if they really are making these the morning of, since it didn't seem to be as fresh as you'd think.Staff were not the friendliest, so not sure why it's so difficult to be dressed with a smile?Super overhyped; you can definitely find higher quality bread offerings with the price point to match at local farmers markets.+greasy/stale breads and pastries+unfriendly staff+all hype!
